poor customer service
I would simply request someone at WM to attempt to get a Polycart replaced if they do not know their ID.
I have been trying for over an hour. I followed their instructions, I attempted to chat online, I attempted to email, and now I am on hold for over 20 minutes as the message reports to go online to replace the cart. I also pushed 1 for a callback instead of waiting on hold, but that did not work either.
Technology at WM needs evaluated.

Remove bins
The previous owner left three garbage bins. I called WM four times, ( wasting whole bunch of time), and all those four times I was told to drag those three bins to the street and they promised me that they will pick those bins up. So far four times I have dragged those three bins to the curb but they never showed up to pick up those bins, and I had to drag them back to my property.
It does not matter how many times the representative or the agent promises me that they will pick those bins up. Because they never do and at the end of the day I have to drag those bins back to my property I am really sick and tired of this.
( do you know how much time I have to waste just to get through to talk to someone it keeps asking for my customer ID I don't have any of those)

At least 5 missed pick up this year so far.
I place the garbage out early this pasted holiday weekend, was out by Sunday night on 5/28/23, and has been at the end of my driveway usual location, all week and no one came to pick it up. I came home on Friday night, 6/2/23 and the garbage was on the ground, and it looked like an animal got to it. This is not acceptable. My elderly mom cannot deal with this incompetence. Thankfully, my neighbor was able to help and gather the garbage. Can you please make sure that the garbage is picked up regularly. I do expect to see yet another credit for missed pick up for the week of May 28th. AGAIN, I pay my bills on time and I expect my service to be on time as well. Thank you!

Cancellation
I have moved and am trying to cancel. On the website FAQ they say click on "Still need help" which does nothing on 3 different browsers. Calling it was useless too.

Waste pickup problem
This is on Desert Fox Drive in Sparks Nevada on May 24, 2023.
Drivers continue to keep the truck rolling while emptying the trash and sometime jerk the truck to a stop which causes trash to spill onto the road while being emptied and then they keep going. Last week, they dumped it so fast that only half of the trash came out of the can.
Frankly speaking, I think that management personal pressures these people to do so much work that they feel a need to rush.
Desired outcome: Trucks need to come to a COMPLETE stop while emptying the trash. It is potentially dangerous to keep rolling and it causes a mess. Take the time to completely empty a can.

Service
Having to throw organic waste in the trash bin(s) without a trash bag is unsanitary as the food sits in the heat and flies begin to lay eggs.. I work entirely too much to clean the bin(s) after every dumping.. There were maggots in my entire front yard when I woke up this morning due to a bin that had a very little organic waste left in the bottom.. unacceptable!

Scheduled trash pick up
For the past three weeks our dumpsters have not been picked up on Mondays
I have been given several excuses, (new driver, short staffed, or they will look into it) But... they will be there on Tuesday to pick up. Which is also my scheduled day. I have asked for a credit, none given. I have asked to speak to a supervisor, they are always in a meeting. Based off of the reviews I have just read, sadly I am not the only one suffering from poor/ lack of service.
I am requesting to be let out of the current contract, since the terms are not being held up on your end.

Recycling
The recyclables have not been picked up at Gulf and Bay Club Bayside in Siesta Key, FL since May 3rd. Repeated phone calls have not produced any results. I have called daily and been told daily the "Operations Team" is working on it. Although the call center agents have been very courteous there appears to be a gap in communication between them, the operations team, the dispatch team, and the drivers. I do not know what else can be done to schedule service for our 101 residents. I'm hoping this complaint will be routed to upper management for assistance and resolution. It's truly a headscratcher that WM has no issue collecting the trash from this complex on a weekly basis... just no recyclables. Kinda makes one want to place the recyclables into the trash bins...

Refusal to pick up my recyclables
My recyclables were not picked up on 5/17/23. I had called WM on 5/18/23 and was told that my recyclables would be picked up by 6:00 pm on the following day. On 5/18/23 at about 1:00 pm, a waste management truck came by. Whoever was operating the truck removed the lid from my recycle bin and then drove away without taking the contents of the recycle bin. My recycle bin has only empty cans, empty glass bottles and plastics with the #1 or #5 within the recycle symbol on them. There is no reason for my recyclables to be rejected.
Desired outcome: I need to have my recyclables taken away.

Waste management, trash, recycle service
I've purchases my home in August of 2022 and had a lot of trash to rid of. The driver would take the trash as long as we would pay him extra cash as if it was no problem. When we would not give him extra, he would leave it and refuse to pick up, even moving our cans across the street. I've called in to report this as we pay for a service, and they are always pretty much telling me I'm a liar. I absolutely hate this service. I've asked for higher up management, and I'm never transferred or reached out to by anyone above whoever is calling.
Now here we are in May of 2023, and they are not taking all the trash again, saying that we purchased the wrong trash can, mind you they have been taking this one all along and now it's an issue. This is unnecessary stress and abuse of being the only service that's around. Why am I paying for service but they get to do whatever they want, are the drivers are extorting more money to do a job that I've paid for monthly already.
I'm truly upset behind this and need some assistance.
Desired outcome: I would love a different company or for owners or the higher up to deal with the drivers trying to force cash payment on pickup day and to do their jobs

Dumpster and trash cans
My name is Deborah Birchfield with Birchfield Enterprises, Inc. we did work for SCE down in Long Beach Ca. until 5/5/2023, they allowed us to park our trucks on their easement which is where we had the dumpster at, then Long Beach put in some kind of ordinance that required them to add 2 containers as well. On 4/28/2023 I called WM to cancel our service and pick up the dumpster and containers. They gave me an extremely tough time on this and kept asking questions about who would be taking over that spot. I explained that nobody would be, then they wanted to know who owned this lot I told them SCE does then they wanted their information. I told them it would not do any good, so I didn't give them that at the time. They just kept pressuring me about everything and they were trying to save me money for picking up their equipment. Then I was told I had to cancel with a letter by certified mail. I did this the very next day on 4/29/2023 and was requesting a return receipt. I still have not received the receipt. Then on 5/9/2023 I get a call from WM and they just repeat all the stuff we talked about before, this time I gave him SCE information. Our Company went out of business on 5/5/2023 this is why we are cancelling.

it has not been resolved i sent over the information that they asked for in their reply to corp. office called early and i do not get in the office until later since we are shut down. i told the reception that i do not get in before noon. She said she would give the message to Mike so since then he has not called anymore. just sent an email with the phone number i already have to call him. even corp. office is clearly avoiding me.
Refusing to reply to emails, and not removing service.
I initially filed this complaint on 4/9/2023. It has now been a month, and little to nothing has been resolved, in fact, waste management is ACTIVELY ignoring me and no longer responding to my emails.

This is not acceptable. On 4/9/2023 I called and spoke to you (or perhaps a different representative) and was told I will get you the contract within 48 hours. Today is now 5/3, and you have failed to produce a contract until this date.
I have sent certified mail to your location, as well as filed a complaint, and sent the letter of termination/ spoke to Raul multiple times in the last almost MONTH. This is undoubtedly a breach of contract. Additionally, I agreed to waive our complaint and fee dispute to make this a simple transition.
Please confirm that you will have the bins picked up by May 26th, 2023 as I stated in the previous email.

On January 26th of 2023, we received our revised bill including an enormous rate increase for an organics bin that is being mandated by our area. We called and complained that we had not received an organic bin, as a second business at the same address (divided lot) has. Each business has a separate account.
Yesterday, 4/9/23 I called to cancel service. I was subjected to an individual who kept trying to tell me no for about 15 minutes and simply wouldn't listen. Finally, he said "You might have a contract I have to find out, and there might be a fee," I said we did not, and additionally, I am canceling due to YOUR breach of service, so this does not apply. Please schedule a bin pick up. He then informed me he would offer me a better rate and that he would email it to me along with the "contract". I never received either.
This Morning I called again (4/19/2023) and spoke to a nicer individual who now told me I have to send a certified letter to an address and that it would depend on the contract. NOONE HAS PRODUCED A CONTRACT. it has not been over 24 hours, and I have no received any email r information.
I request immediate cancellation of service, due to breach of service and contract, and that Waste Management picks up its 2 bins free of charge by MAY 1st. 2023.

Paying service for an old address / closed account
We moved from our previous location Sept 2021 & we’re still being charged. I have emailed & called (countless times) someone finally helped me “close” our account, I paid off the remaining balance (last pickup), yet our account was never closed. Move to our new location & owe a balance of $600+ in order to get service. It’s 2023 & we are still paying for our old place AND our new place! When is someone going to help me solve this problem and pay us back over a thousand dollars from a location we haven’t lived at for almost 2 years?! Here is yet another email & I bet with no response… Sad. (The photos I have included are just the service of what we have paid on, there is a lot more also notice how my app/account says service is closed but on Brian’s it is open and still charging us)

Trash service
I am continually being invoiced multiple times for the same service period. I have to continually call due to my service being interrupted after payment. I call and they say if I just pay a certain amount I will be good until the next service period (3 months out) and then I am billed again 15 or 20 days later for the same service period I just paid for. They don't send a bill but the invoice shows up on their website. I have called many times since summer of 22 and it happens again a couple of months later. I can't get ahold of anyone online or through email. I forced a customer service person to send an email saying I paid in full and wouldn't owe until the next 3 month cycle and the amount of the next charge but I was billed again the next month (like always). The customer service team does not care and just assures me it will be fixed by the next cycle and it never is. I am at the point where I am ready to cancel my service and drive to a transfer station in the next town over to not have to deal with this horrible company any longer. This is Waste Management in Fernley, NV.

Contract Team Deceptive
We called in with a little over 180 days to see what was required to cancel our contract before it renews. The young lady spoke about renegotiating which is not what we wanted. We then planed to fulfill the remaining 6 months of our contract and not renew. Until today, We received a new contract by email asking us to sign for another 4 years or we would have to fulfill and extra year since we didn't cancel. We were led to believe that we did cancel when we called in back in November and there would be no auto renewal. Sneaky Sneaky, WM, Employees say one thing, contract says another...way to keep us confused and stuck in another year.

Waste management took my trash container with trash pickup and hasn’t replaced
My trash container was taken with the pickup last Friday. I called immediately and was told a new container would be delivered this week. It is now Thursday and no container. My trash is to be picked up tomorrow morning and I cannot leave out in bags due to wildlife. Where is my container, will I be credited for this week of lack of service?! This is the third problem with service since January. When you try to call and get resolution, you are confronted with an automated system that is horrible. I finally got through to a person and was assured that a container would be delivered Monday or Tuesday. It is now Thursday and no container.

Trash service
They did not pick up one of the trash on 3936 s Flanders way, that I paid for them to do so that is theft of service. So now the trashcan Hass to sit on the corner for an entire week over filling because they refuse to do their job, but yet they steal money from my account and provide no service. They need to come back and pick up the trash. This is ridiculous you pay for a service just for them not to provide it.

Trash Pickup Service
On 4/20/2023 my trash was being dumped. I noticed the driver repeatedly trying to get the van to empty when it was obvious he was crushing my relatively recently replaced can. It was turned sideways and no wonder it wouldn’t empty. He finally put the van down and a bag fell out. He got out threw the bag back in and turned it to the other side. He said it had to be sideways and called then cheap cans. Then with the lid now open grabbed it again crushing it again and still had difficulty until it dumped. We pay allot for this service and if we didn’t have to replace the cans so often maybe we would not have our cost increased

I moved to Whitestown, IN December 22,2022. In January I tried to get trash service and was told Ray's was taken over by Waste Management. I went online to try to set up service and I got a reply that the area I live in was not serviced by Waste Management. I called and was told that the conversion phase from Ray's was not complete (I was never a ray's customer). but once everything was complete, I was in Waste Management's que to get a call back to set up an account (i did not get a call back). I went online again in February and was able to set up an account and schedule container drop off and trash pickup. Payment ($68.68) was taken out of my bank account on February 21st I have had several calls to Customer. On trash pickup day my trash was left on the curb. I called and I was told it was left because I didn't have it in a container (I did not get a container delivered). I was told by customer service they had dropped it off, but it was not at my address. They schedule for another one. This was in the beginning of March. I did not get a container. I called again in a couple weeks, and they sent someone out to dropped off a container. When I finally got a container, it was filthy with mud and trash in the bottom of it. I called back and Customer Service scheduled another pick up and drop off. This was March 31st. That did not happen. I called back and was told there was a three-week delay. I waited three weeks, and nothing happened. I went online to check the status of my order and it was marked "attempted/closed". I called again and was told by Customer Service "it's only a can" and that she didn't want me to have a heart attack. I told the young lady it was the principal of the whole situation, and she asked me what I wanted, and my reply was I want the same thing everyone else is getting first of all respect as a customer and the same uniform containers that the rest of my neighbors have. Today is April 21st. I still do not have a proper container. I pray this gets to the eyes of someone with integrity.
Desired outcome: I would like to have a clean container that's uniformed to my community. All the containers are green. I was given and filthy black one with a "Waste Management" sticker on the side of it.
