I'm being charged for a bill that I didn't give them permission to come on my property to do any work
I'm being charged for a bill that I didn't give them permission to come on my property to do any work. I wasn't even home to give them permission to do service and now they want me to pay them. I think you should ask me before going all over my yard doing things and just randomly send me a bill and expect me to pay it.
Wayne's Pest Control in Hoover, Alabama has been working on my house for more than 20 years!
Wayne's Pest Control in Hoover, Alabama has been working on my house for more than 20 years! In 2021, during an inspection, they discovered signs of past termite activity in a small crawl space. Can you believe it? They never noticed this in all the inspections they did over the past two decades! And guess what? They didn't even offer to fix it! Now they won't renew my contract because their 'criteria' have changed. I've canceled all my property contracts with Wayne's Pest Control in Hoover, Alabama and made it clear that I don't want them to bother me anymore! They don't deserve any stars for their service or integrity!

I keep getting bills from Waynes Pest Control for stuff I never asked for or got. I want them to stop bothering me and sending me bills. They say my last payment was a year ago, but I never even did business with them. My customer number is XXX-XXXXXXXX and the invoice number is XXX-XXXXXXXX.
We ain't seen Wayne's come to our house and do nothin'
We ain't seen Wayne's come to our house and do nothin'. We got them fancy cameras that tell us when someone's near our house. My wife talked to one of their workers and told 'em to call us and talk to my husband. But we got another dang invoice for $348 and that worker never did nothin'. We got a bill of $1004 for work they never did and I done called 'em twice and told 'em to stop comin' to my house 'cause we got Orkin. Them workers and the lady in the Birmingham Alabama office are just awful. Please help fix this problem...
I cancelled my service with Waynes and I didn't know they did termite control
I cancelled my service with Waynes and I didn't know they did termite control. I never got a bill or notice until my husband got a call from collections. I called Waynes and they sent a bill for $375 that I don't think we owe. We didn't know they did termite control and they didn't ask to charge our card. I think we don't owe this money and it should be taken off collections. They also didn't pick up their termite stakes after I cancelled and I don't want this to happen again.

We cancelled our pest and yard services with Wayne's Pest Control in August
We cancelled our pest and yard services with Wayne's Pest Control in August . We called many times to complain about earwigs, never getting all the services we paid for, rescheduling issues, no-shows, weeds in the front and back, and half of our backyard turning brown. We never had anyone come out to inspect for termites or bait the pods as promised. I won't pay for a year-long contract because of their incompetence and inconvenience. I won't be paying any money after August , and I want them to stop contacting me, especially those salespeople trying to sell "yard aeration."
I got this bill from Waynes Pest Control out of the blue, and it's for a service I never agreed to
I got this bill from Waynes Pest Control out of the blue, and it's for a service I never agreed to. It's like the same old story, you know? I moved into this new place about a year ago, and Waynes wouldn't leave me alone. They called me a million times, bugging me to sign up for their pest control. I kept telling them no, and finally, they stopped bothering me. But now, a whole year later, I get this bill for termite control that I never even said yes to. They never sent anyone to my house to talk to me, and I never saw anyone doing any pest control stuff around here. It's like they just popped up out of nowhere with this bill. I tried calling the number on the bill, but it's messed up or something. They say they're having technical issues and to try again later.
I got a bill in the mail saying I owe $348.00 to this company for a service I didn't ask for and don't know about
I got a bill in the mail saying I owe $348.00 to this company for a service I didn't ask for and don't know about. Neither me nor my wife requested any pest control service. We haven't seen anyone from this company come to our house and do anything. We have cameras that tell us when someone is near our house. My wife and I are both in the military and we're hardly ever home. This seems like a scam that's causing unnecessary stress in our lives. Getting bills for services we didn't even sign up for is really frustrating. I want to stop hearing from this company and receiving these bills. The bill doesn't show any payment history. I never did any business with this company. My customer number is *** and the invoice number is ***.
Wayne's Pest Control was hired by the title and closing company to do a wood infestation inspection before the closing
Wayne's Pest Control was hired by the title and closing company to do a wood infestation inspection before the closing. The inspector didn't make an appointment; instead, he showed up at my house without warning on April 27. When he couldn't reach me by phone, he used his electronic key to get into my house without permission. This set off my security alarm and the monitoring company called me. Wayne's then sent the title and closing company an invoice on April 28 that was much higher than the original estimate. After looking into it, it was discovered that they secretly tried to renew my annual lawn care contract, even though it expired on March 20. This happened even though I'm in the process of selling the house.
This company is not honest and seems shady
This company is not honest and seems shady. They charged me for services that I didn't agree to. When I had my house built, Wayne's told me that the termite service would be free for the first year. After that, I would only be billed if I signed a contract. However, I never signed a contract and yet I received a bill for $348 a year after my house was built. When I called them to complain, they tried to defend themselves, but they are clearly in the wrong. I never signed a contract. Most termite companies have the service under the builder's name and only transfer it to the homeowner's name if a contract is signed. It's not fair to bill someone for services they didn't ask for. Additionally, the sentricon stations are placed too far apart from each other. I'm going to switch to another company that doesn't scam people with unwanted bills and knows how to properly space the stations.
I think their tactics are not right
I think their tactics are not right. In a house that was built just one year ago, I got two text messages from a rep saying they needed to service termite traps. Both times I said no to the service. Then, I got an invoice for ***. At first, I thought it was junk mail. But when I looked closer and researched the company, I realized what the bill was for. The invoice shows the date of service as ***. Either the company is charging me for a service I didn't get or charging me for a service I said no to. No appointment was made, and there was no discussion about the price upfront. In my experience, companies usually collect payment upfront. I had no idea someone was coming to my house. If they did provide the service, it was not agreed upon. There have been several complaints about this same thing filed with ComplaintsBoard.com. Someone should investigate this company and stop their dishonest behavior.
Waynes keeps leaving notes on my door saying they did lawn stuff and gonna charge me later
Waynes keeps leaving notes on my door saying they did lawn stuff and gonna charge me later. I never asked for any of that, now or in the future. I don't have any dealings with Waynes or *** (whatever that is). And the worst part is, they lied on the report! They said they did work on November 11, but me and my fam were home all day and didn't see any Waynes people doing anything. If this is some dumb marketing trick, it's just plain gross. Who would wanna hire a company that lies and puts fake bills on your door? It's just shameful.
Complaint about Unauthorized Billing and Services
Dear ComplaintsBoard.com, I want to file a complaint regarding unauthorized billing and services by a pest control and lawn service company. On July 24, I requested the cessation of their lawn services and the monthly $53 bank withdrawals. Despite this, they serviced my lawn on August 12 and charged me. I seek assistance in resolving this issue without payment, as I had previously cancelled their services. Thank you, [Your Name]
As many people have been saying lately, Wayne's Pest Control is being really dishonest
As many people have been saying lately, Wayne's Pest Control is being really dishonest. I bought a new house in May , and since it was a new construction, my home insurance required termite protection for the first year. They included it with the house purchase. In June , they sent someone over to try and sell me lawn care and all their other services. Then, about 3 months ago (March-May), a representative kept calling me over and over to schedule another inspection and try to sign me up for another year of coverage. I blocked those numbers and ignored them, but that didn't stop them from randomly charging me $358 for another year of their most expensive bait called Sentricon. I never agreed to a contract, never spoke to anyone from Wayne's, and definitely didn't agree to another year of service. Their prices are crazy high and their tactics are really shady. I want them to fix this and let everyone know about their shady practices.
We closed on our new home in Feb 2022 and the builder generously covered my first year of termite treatment through Waynes
We closed on our new home in Feb 2022 and the builder covered my first year of termite treatment through Waynes. We declined to continue the service post-closing. Come February 2023, Waynes bombarded us with mail, which we ignored, mistaking it for marketing. Recently, a bill for $348.00 appeared, claiming to be 60 days overdue. We never requested or agreed to further services. Our closing documents lack a signature for continued service, and no Waynes representative has visited our home, which we monitor with cameras. As retirees, we're always here and find these unfounded bills a source of undue stress. We're eager to sever ties with Waynes and end these fraudulent charges.
I signed up with HomeShield Pest Control two years ago for pest prevention service every three months for $*** per visit
I signed up with HomeShield Pest Control two years ago for pest prevention service every three months for $*** per visit. Unfortunately, Waynes took over the company and things went downhill. As I read in other reviews on ComplaintsBoard.com, this company is really dishonest. The last time they came to my house was in late April 2022. On June 8, 2022, a technician came to my house without me noticing (my video doorbell caught it). Two days later, they charged my card $*** for a service called "enviropest" that I didn't ask for and wasn't part of my regular quarterly service. I called the company to ask for a refund, but the person on the phone said they couldn't do anything and that a supervisor would call me. Surprise, surprise, that call never happened. Now I have to rely on ComplaintsBoard.com to help me get my money back.
Ever since Waynes took over, I've been getting messages every now and then, sometimes even every month, in the evening, saying that they're coming the next morning, even though my quarterly service wasn't due yet. Funny thing is, they always send these messages after their office is closed, so I can't reach anyone by phone. After calling them multiple times over several months, they told me that I signed up for service every two months, which is completely false (I still have the contract from HomeShield that clearly says quarterly service). It's really scary how this company doesn't follow the contract and keeps trying to take my money by doing services I didn't ask for.
