I can't contact this company to stop this and the only reason I figured this out is because it made my account balance over limit. I am careful usually and I don't even use this card anymore because the interest is ridiculous. Has anyone out there figured out how to contact them and set them straight?

What kind of products have people out there ordered before they discovered that this company started showing up on their credit card statement? I know myself I ordered Lens Dr the liquid eyeglass repair stuff that you fix horrible scratches so you don't have to buy another pair of glasses. Since figuring this out I have probably spent that much because I didn't notice these charges until now. They are charging me 16.95 and have been since Feb. at least. I am so mad it is ruining my mother's day with my mom. She is sitting in the other room while I try and figure out how I can fix this problem but because it being Sunday no one is answering any phones even my credit card company. So I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to flip out all over again.

DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY SCAM YOU

If you order something just order that product when they ask you if you want this and that say no. No special speedy delivery or anything besides the product at least that is how I think I got this charge on my account. Who knows I will never order anything online again.

Which stinks because I don't drive and this comes in handy occasionally.

Thanks for listening,
Kim

I just got this value thing in the mail yesterday and I left it on the table. My husband picked it up and asked about it, so I put the address in the computer and came to this. I called [protected] and got it cancelled before I was ever charged thanks to my nosy husband. I am so glad I came across this board first.

Sorry to all who didn't catch this in time

Kim

If you've been charged by this, it's your lucky day.

The reason you got signed up is greed, it's not bad, its in human nature. You buy something by the telephone or internet, say a snuggie blanket. they offer you a $50 gift card or you click on $25 gift card. You accept that, your signed up.

I work for the company that does customer service for value plus, fun source, budget savers, FOH. I have to admit, it is a good scam, but it's all legit.

I've got to admit, I wish I'd thought of this, man, if you could see some of the accounts, $4, 000+. OMG
I feel sorry for these people that get so far behind on their CC bill, that they just pay the minimum and don't even look at the charges.

If you've ever been charged for this, call [protected], give them your info and just request a full refund. Let the operator know you want 'all' your money back (get that out in the open right away). Our scripting doesn't allow us to tell you anything you don't ask.

Here's the key questions.

1. What memberships do I have? (get membership numbers) (ask them to search with old telephone numbers and addresses, have them all ready) (we can search with last name zip code, first name last name as long as it isn't Smith, telephone number, first six and last four #'s of your CC. Have old CC numbers ready) Do I or have I had any memberships in the past? (don't let them say 'well, I don't see anything else on my screen) use vague words like all my memberships, I want all my money.

2. How long have I been charged for these memberships? (keep track of what memberships have been charged how much)

3. Would you send me a refund request form for all the memberships I've ever had.

Make sure you have your Membership Number and amounts in order because if you ask for too much, 'our consumers affair department' will deny your claim.

This company makes plenty of money daily, don't feel bad about asking.

Good luck allyaall and don't be afraid to ask questions

I called the number on my bank statement [protected] value plus and asked them who they were and how did they have my information. The person who I spoke with was very rude, I told her I never ordered this and, I want my money refunded to me, she gave me the run-around and said because it was over $50.00 that they will send me a form to fill out so I would get my refund. Well today I received their form and it states that either myself or an authorized user enrolled, and I'm not eligible for a refund! (Imagion That) This is wrong, I'll be contacting the State Attorney General & Better Business Bureau. This is a terrible company

Yes, it's a scam... because folks order online and they don't read the fine print when they agree to the terms giving these people permission to sign them up for this crap. I purchased an item online for 1.95 first time purchase and because of that they had signed me up unknowingly for their discount club. I've had 3 charges of 19.95 on my debit card and I called that 800 number today and insisted they cancel my membership and refund my 59.85 immediately.

They informed me that they had cancelled it as of today and gave me a cancellation conformation number but said they had to mail out a form to me to fill and send it to request my refund of charges. I told them it better arrive... as I will fill it out, send it in and expect to be reimbursed.

If they don't I will report them to my bank, the Better Business Bureau and to the Washington State Attorney General's office. I suggest the rest of you do the same, it's the only way that scammers like this will be investigated and shut down!

After having to call this company this morning 3 times I am getting a refund. I found out that I'd been charged for over a year and that I will be getting the money back. Almost $200 went into their pocked for something I bought a year ago. I've canceled this company before but they didn't have any record of it. The woman I spoke to tried to pacify me by saying that they could refund the last 3 months but when I found out that it had been for over a year and I got angry she agreed to refund the whole 7 months. Warning don't buy things online or over the phone without reading everything. This is somehow slipped in under the Terms and Conditions.

I just figured it out!... on March 27th 2009 i purchased some foot cream/body lotions from Amazon.com and all of a sudden there is a Value Plus Monthy on my AMEX statement every month after that (I just noticed today 9/21/09-thats $101.70 so far that they have taken from me)! I cannot believe i had not noticed sooner?...when i went on line to see what the heck Value plus was, this website popped up... thank goodness!... and someone mentioned/found out it may have been thru Amazon.com, which was a shock to me but it's the only thing that makes any sense on my statement! thanks again everyone... looks like we have to look out for each other because no one else is.

If anyone is still having problems with ValuePlus, here's what I did. I wrote a letter to the president and the customer service person (Murphy) to the address provided by Melissa Wynn (above). I sent a copy to the Attorney General of Minnesota (Lori Swanson) and received an answer in my email from ValuePlus in two days. They cancelled and promise a full refund within 2 days. Good luck.

Definitely a scam - there are so many of them it's sickening - I hadn't noticed the charge of 16.95 every month for 12 months. I always had so many charges but when I stopped charging so much and was down to 4 items thats when I noticed it and called immediately to cancel. When I questioned all the charges that I never knew about and what was it for I never received anything in the mail for a membership and I wanted to be credited - they told me I signed up for it and they would send me a form letter to fill out. Never got it and called again finally got it filled it out sent it back. In the meantime I tried putting the cahrges in dispute with chase but they said they couldn't because I had a contract with this company. What ###. I just tried calling the no on my statement forget that waste of time but now I called the no above. Thankyou so much they had already credited me with the full amount over $200 but it was an old credit card no. I had changed so they did it right but now Chase (boy if I didn't call) let the refund sit in the old acct. No notification nothing. Can't believe the help these companies have I swear all the intelligent workers are sitting home unemployed and all the idiots have the jobs. Anyway that phone no [protected] works. Thanks again to the first person, Ryan who posted it. JB

I ordered some books after watching an infomercial and declined every other offer made to me and somehow I was still added to a 30 day membership to some purchase club. As you know, when you are provided with a 30 day free membership to anywhere, you are charged after 30 days if you do not call in to cancel. Since I did know I was signed up for this, I did not know to cancel. To make a long story short, I had to cancel my card to ensure they no longer had it (to bill my account). I also called them (membership services) and had them cancel my membership. It is not the company that is billing you that signed you up for the billing, it is the company you purchased from that signed you up. In my case, I purchased some "how to buy realestate" books from a Dean infomercial. My recomendation is to go back to when the charges began and find out who signed you up. This is terrible that they can take money from us without our consent.

I was able to get my charges ALL reimbursed all $480 worth over 2 years of charges. Work with your credit card fraud department, and call the number on your credit card statement and ask for the forms to get your refund. They SUCK but like a rebate they try to wear you down so you will give up. Every letter that I sent to WC Value Plus I wrote at the bottom CC Chase Fraud Department. So they knew that I had someone else involved. Good luck!

Not only are they taking money from peoples accounts but they are harrassing people by phone. They called my CELL PHONE 20 TIMES in three hours. Everytime I answered they hung up until I answered the phone swearing up a storm. Then I got a Hello. I got the supervisor of the phone and he told me the company was Value Plus and they were offering blah blah blah and a $35 gas card. I have reported them to the police department where there phone is listed and the company ISNT EVEN in that town, state... NOT EVEN THE COUNTRY. My question... HOW is a company that is not even in this country getting a listing within this country. I cant get a phone number in another STATE, let alone another country. WHERE IS THE JUSTICE?

I canceled my account before the trial period is over and I am still getting charged. I am calling them on Monday to see if they will refund my money for the two months I have been charged. If they don't I am going to call the news stations in the Chicago area and let them know of all the people that they have ripped off, and hopefully they will do a story on them and expose them for what they really are

My credit card company reasearched this for me and discovered when you buy certain things online you usually have to set up an account with the company you are buying from. If you accept the terms/agreements, you are also accepting the monthly charge. It is apparently listed in the terms/agreements...just no one reads the twenty pages "Shocker." This company then has access to your credit/debit card and charges you. They do not send anything in the mail or let you know what services they provide you. They do send an email to you but if you don't know who this company is and if your like me, you assume it is spam mail and delete it. Value Plus will also not tell you what company you purchased from online that gave them you card number, making it difficult not to purchase or set up an account with them again.

Wow, Im not believing how many complaints I have seen when I looked this company up. I have been paying 19.95/mo. for 2 freakin years! When I saw the charge, I just assumed that I had bought something and forgot about it... The customer reps are phony and read directly from a computer screen. Of course, I got nowhere with them, even though I never once used any of there products/services or didn't even know that they existed. So now Im waiting on a form to come in through the mail and send it back to their "customer services department". Ridiculous.

Thanks for posting this up everyone. It alerted me right away. I too signed up for the trial offer of this discount program. They promised to send me '$15 cash back', which I received no email confirmation on. So after reading some of your posts today, I have called the cancellation number [protected]. I was greeted by a polite woman from 'membership services' who asked for my name, zip code, and phone number - and was able to cancel the account for me. I hope this works out before I start seeing money get withdrawn from my account!

I'd love to hang these people up and use them as punching bags. What they're all about is so dishonest and makes me see red. I only wish there were someway of getting them back and hurting them. But since they're beyond the grasp of the law, I'll settle for getting my money back, for now. Now if there is anyone who'd like to get together or put something together so that we all make them pay for what they're doing please let me know.

This happened to me too, and I thought it was a mistake they would correct. But apparently not. Finally, after 3 months of charges that I NEVER authorized, not even close, I just now wrote to their support at support@damark.com. (It's a weekend and they didn't answer their phone.) I hope that will take care of it and I don't have to chase them down to get my money back. They were charging me $24.95 a month.
The charge on your statement will look something like this:
03/25/10 CHECK CRD PURCHASE 03/24 WC *VALUE PLUS [protected] MN (account number)?MCC=xxxx 121042882DA01 (which is apparently my membership number with them)
I am furious over this. How do these people get off doing this and HOW do they do it in the first place? I'm mad enough that if anyone wants to start a class action suit or something, I'm there.
I asked them for a full refund for all three months. We will see what happens.

She told me that she had no authority to refund my money when I told her I wanted to speek to someone she said that I would recieve a refund form for the last payment in about 7 to 10 business days and that she had cancelled the account. When I asked her about not recieving any membership number or materials she had nothing to say.Im going to contact the BBA and turn these people in.

I cannot believe these complaints go back years and this company is still getting away with this scam. My husband ordered some vitamins a while ago. I was right next to him when he very clearly stated that he did not want to be enrolled in any monthly program or club. A few weeks later, 2 separate charges for $19.95 each, from Fun Source Monthly and Value Plus, appeared on our bank account. Again, I was next to my husband when he called [protected] to inquire about the charges. Of course they acted like they did not know how this happened and promised to cancel any memberships (that we never signed up for in the first place. Now, the same two charges appeared again today, the person on the phone said she had to record of that membership ever being cancelled. How did she have any record of it being started when it was never authorized? I guess we will wait the 3 to 5 days to see if we get a refund. If not, I think I will start contacting news organizations to see if someone can do an investigation on this horrible "company."

These are some VERY sneeky people. I cancelled my membership and then they called me back offering to send me a cupon if I paid them $1.95. I paid them, got a cupon that I had to redeem online and decided to throw it away. I was worried they would try to put me back on their membership. Little did I know that they already did. I paid the $1.95 on Jun 29 and got slapped with another charge for $24.95 2 weeks later! I just found out 3 days ago when I got my account summary. Im calling my back and reporting this as fraudulent, because they were NOT given authority to take 25 dollars out of my account!
