WestJet Airlines review: Cancelled flight

We booked our tickets to Victoria (flight WS462 on Sept 5), in April 2023, with the help of Infinity travels. Our electronic tickets clearly indicated we reserved seats 9A and 9B but when we checked in, we were no longer sitting together. Absolutely no reason was given for this, but we accepted the change.

Secondly, our return Flight W612 (Victoria to Calgary) was delayed 1/2 hour due to "an incident with a guest". When we arrived in Calgary, we were informed, by the stewardess, to proceed to the check-in desk. We were lucky enough to find the desk, to be informed that our connecting flight to Ottawa had left without us, and many other passengers on flight 462. We were then informed that we had been rescheduled to leave at 9:10 on Sept 6. It would be up to us to find a place to stay overnight. We had only been to Calgary once, 23 years ago, and had no idea where to stay. The service agent said we could "google" for hotels and they would probably pick us up by shuttle. Because we had no idea where we could be picked up we decided to stay at the Airport Marriott hotel. Because of this, we are out of pocket $500.00
