WestJet Airlines review: Complaint on service/injury

Recently, I had to fly to San Diego, California, United States of America, from Kelowna, BC Canada for a family funeral. ( i am not able to drive long distances due to my impeding ankle surgery a week after i returned back home to Kelowna, BC Canada).

I did not know I was suppose to call if I had a recent death in the family, and could get a lowered rate then normal travel air fare.

I only found this out when I had to call in before my origina return travel date, to delay my travel time for anothjer week.

Riya, was the represe3ntative that helped me out, helped me with this, and informed me to write once home.

2). on my travel for return home on July 2, 2023, I boarded my flight to return to Kelowna, BC Canada. We let an hour late. ( due to some issues on the runway) no fault of my own.

Caroline & Maxine? i think was the second ladies name, but they were really nice to myself, & the guy sitting next to me from Kenya. We left Calgary late, but Caroline & Maxine, were really nice to us, as well as the others in the first 3 sections seats. She refereenced to us by Mr. last name & Ms. Stussi. I felt relaxed & appreciated. This truo as thou it started late, made us feel good.

We get into Calgary, Alberta and we had to sit on the tara mack for a bit so the "KIDS", were like first day to school, late to going to the door to unlock the terminal areas so we could board our plane. This was another delay. Travelling not only to a funeral & coming home, I was no longer comfortable.

We are boarding on the plane from Calgary, Alberta, late, due to the rain that was called due to thunder/bad weather activity. Once the plane allowed us to board, we had to sit there on the tara mack a bit longer, but i noticed there was foul smell on this flight. I was sitting right up front next to the window. The guy sitting next to me, even noticed the smell. His name was Dominic. He says he travels a lot on this flight, and in this area, and he noticed it too

Our stewardess names were: Rachel, and some other oversize lady, smaller then Rachel. But, I made the comment to her once before we left, and then again in the middle of the flight & again towards before we left to un board. The 2 ladies were laughing & talking more amongst to them selves the entire flight. But when we informed them the 3 time, they stated they could not smell it, Both Dominic & I could.
