My Wife, Rhoda Alma Wamboldt (age 81) and I, James gilbert Wamboldt (age 85) were booked on Flight WS654 18 September 2023 from Calgary to Toronto with reserved seats 23 C and D. We arrived at the Airport at 0630, obtained free luggage for our 2 bags as retired CAF members and were directed to the West Jet Assistance Desk as we both required wheelchairs. When I approached the desk the West Jet Uniformed Lady departed and disappeared into the crowd. Approximately 25 minutes later we were advised by another Uniformed (not WJ) male that he would provide our wheelchairs as soon as he contacted another helper. Shortly thereafter the absent West jet Assistance Lady appeared and stated that the Uniformed male would take us to our gate D80. At 0715 a female second helper appeared but when advised that we were to go to gate D80 she declined to assist her partner. They conversed in a foreign language but the "body language" was obvious. Finally at 0725 two other female Assistance Personnel appeared and pushed us to Gate D80 but the Flight had departed 10 minutes prior to our arrival. We were then taken to another desk where we were booked on the WS664 Flight with the last 2 seats to Toronto.
Desired outcome: We would like three (3) things; first an apology for our treatment by West Jet employees, second a return of the $80.00 I paid for the reserved seats on Flight WS654, and third an acknowledgement of this complaint.
