poor customer service
Today, February 14, 2018 I went to Whataburger Store # 720 on Quaker Ave in Lubbock Texas. I went through the drive thru and ordered my lunch at 12:36 pm. There was a line all the way around the building when I was asked to pull around and wait for my food. At 1:02 pm I was late getting back to work from lunch so I went inside. They were carrying food out for cars behind me. I asked where my order was, they told me they were still waiting on my onion rings! It was 1:05 before I was able to get my food and I was seriously late to work. This is unacceptable! I understand being busy but, if they had some organizational skills, this would not have happened. I will NEVER go back to that store.

incorrect order again!!
I'm a huge lover of All things Whataburger, however every time I visit store #717, they seem to consistently mess up my order. The receipt is accurate, but the order itself, is not. In this exact instance I asked for no onions due to an onion allergy. Oddly enough, the reciept was correct and there was even a "no onion" sticker on the outside, yet the patty melt was full of onions.
service
I recently went to whataburger #204 on College st in Beaumont, Texas. I have completed a survey and I used my receipt to purchase a medium fry and medium drink and I received a free whataburger. When my receipt printed it had another survey on the bottom of the receipt. The cashier Asijana tore the survey off my receipt and threw it away so I could not do another survey if I chose to. What place is it of hers to decide who gets a survey and who doesn't. She also waited until my burger was done to throw away all the fries and make new ones and although I appreciate the hot fries she made me late for work and the hamburger was cold. If she was going to make new fries then she should have done that when I placed my order not when it was ready. If that is the service to expect and the type of employees whata burger employed then I will go elsewhere. There is Wendy's, McDonald's and Burger King all close by.
disappointment in company values and standards
First of all I want to say as an employee of WAB on the First Coast area of Florida I LOVE my job. The inconsistency of acceptable standards and allowing the serving of substandard food is disappointing. "Our motto is to make 'em wait" in response to my inquiry of orders taking over 15 minutes to serve was shocking.
As a front counter guest services provider I feel it's being more than a bit disingenuous to ask our valued customers to submit customer satisfaction surveys while being served food fried in oil that looks like someone threw up in it. 'The last manager didn't do it so we're not doing it either' seems to be a recurring theme' in not correcting issues such as filtering and cleaning fry oils.
I'm using the filthy oil as only one example of promises not kept when hired. We are promised to be fitted with the tools resources support information and education to fulfill our duties as WAB employees.
A sense of urgency seems to be missing with some employees I've worked with. For me this position means protecting and elevating the WAB Brand. As an older American worker the very definition of providing quality food in a timely manner comes naturally.
police officers discount not offered to firemen
Hello, first of I would like to say that Whataburger makes the best burgers and yes, they are awesome. My complaint is that I am a firefighter and have been for 25 years, as a fireman, we cook our own food at the firestation but occasionally we are way too busy and don't have time. When that happens we ALWAYS suggest Whataburger but here recently (and in the past) I have noticed that Whataburger openly give the police department a discount on the food. There have been times when we are there with the police and the police are only given the discount openly and it is not offered to the firemen. To me that is very disrespectful. Either give it to ALL first responders or not and I have noticed that the discount is given to all police members at all locations and to none at all locations to firemen. Please let me know what your policy is on this. Thank you, a very disappointed Fireman.
I agree. When I was working in a local Chinese Buffet. We would give police a discount. We also offered a Senior Citizen discount. A fireman friend of mine came in and I personally bought his food because the manager wouldn't ok his discount. I don't know what happened after that because he usually didn't eat there when I was working.
wrong order six times in a row!
My children and i visit Whataburger in our hometown of Del Rio, Tx. We had never had so many problems with getting our order wrong, but here lately it has been HORRIBLE! I live about 8 miles from the one and only whataburger and it is very frustrating when you are so hungry and get home to a messed order! I see maybe a couple of times, BUT SIX TIMES? Today, I finally walked in and tossed the wrong order on the counter and explained the whole situation and ALL I received were two lemon pies, PIES? I was given someone else order, so I am sure they too complained. todays ticket number is 253680 which is the wrong order but was charge $16 something at the window. I AM SO VERY DISAPPOINTED with the service here lately. My neighbor too complained that the same thing has happened to them a couple of times. It's called being in a hurry and not being able to satisfy the customer. here is my number if you wish to talk [protected] Beki
whataburger
I've been working for Whataburger for 2 years this last year has not been the worst year. I don't get paid on time, I cannot get my paycheck stub. Payroll and H&R act like they cannot help me every time I call and do nothing about the situation. They don't even try to resolve the issue but this is supposed to be a Whataburger family but it's the worst job I ever had. Every time I called them I never get help. They act like they care but they really don't.
company policies concerning sick employees/supervisors working around food and customers
I'm an employee at the Whataburger located in Jacksonville, Fl., Store/Business Unit # 874. After reporting to work on the 21st of January 2018, i was sent home because i was wearing a mask to prevent myself from getting sick from other employees that were allowed to work and was sick. This is to also include a manager. I am a Diabetic and also have a rare form of Cancer known as Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, which causes my immune system to weaken or shut down if i become ill with something as simple as a cold; hence my reason for wearing a mask. So if i was sent home for wearing protective gear to prevent my getting sick and putting my health at risk; why were the other employee's and a manager allowed to stay and work around food, and put the public's health in jeopardy? My health issues are known to management. i feel that i have been discriminated against and have obtained legal council.
bad
Employee (nana) just had a look she didn't want to be there. (Mean look) she was also really rude and acted like she didn't care about any of the customers. She needs to get fired ! I watched how she treated other customers ! She really needs a new job since it seems like she doesn't like her job at all. Nobody told her to get a customer service job. If you can't be nice get out !
app on phone for rewards
Not getting my points when they scan the whataburger app and was told wait a couple of days...well hey I waited three weeks and still no points showing and even making more purchases. About the fourth time trying I got tired of them giving me a list for why it "may" not of worked and I asked for a manager. He said contact them on the app by email so I did. Response got back was saying more excuses and refused to give me my earned points even after emailing back a 2nd x got no response so called corp. They say will get my complaint up higher which have not heard back yet and will give it 48 more hours before take next/further action.
the wrong item with hair in it
I placed my order for a chorizo burger combo and a chorizo taquito combo. The Taquito was sausage and egg instead of chorizo and I also found a hair in it. I usually check my food before Ieave but this time I waited till I got home since it's a new store I dint think I had to. I called the store a few times to get this taken care of but the phone sounds busy so I don't have communication with them.
not filling the order I requested and charged for items not ordered. overcharged
12/20/17 at 444 W. Little York, Houston, Texas 77076 (Restaurant [protected]), 11:05 am, order # 571426, I requested the following: #1 plain (meat and cheese) with a vanilla milkshake for my beverage, also a kids chicken finger meal with a Sprite. The cashier took my order and told me it would be extra for the milkshake, but did not disclose how much, or verify the size of the shake. I was then told $13.61. I questioned the order because I couldn't understand how a #1 at $3.69, plus a kids chicken finger, and an up charge for the shake could add up to more than $13! A gentleman came on the mike and reminded me I had to take into consideration the shake. When I drove around, I received a 32 oz shake, which I did not request, and I saw the #1 meal was billed at $6.29. I was charged .50 for cheese, which I did not ask for. Please see the attached receipt! According to my calculations, I should have bee charged a little over $10, not $13. I still got no clarity on the price. Since it was during lunch break and I had no time to debate the issue, I left. Now I am addressing the matter with corporate to view my receipt to verify the amount charged for my order was correct.
management/ food took too long
The service was really bad, my family and I went out to eat and as soon as I walked in the door I heard a manager which voice sounded as a men with a blue stripes shirt screaming at their employees with a really bad, rude attitude and cursing them out. So when we finished ordering our family food I asked a lady named tabby? What was the managers name with the stripes blue shirt and she said "Richard" so while we were waiting on our food my husband and I were talking and all I could hear was his voice over every single costumer. The order took 12 minutes to come out, and all we order was burgers. I really did not enjoy my food well because of the way he was talking to everyone of his employees in a very rude way and cursing them out. I will never ever come here to eat with my family because this is a very ugly environment.
I don't know who posted that comment above! but who ever it is you need to STOP! and by the way @Charte you call everyone foolish but yet you're the foolish one from the inside and no I won't wait 12 minutes for some burgers because that's ridicules lol! I'm sorry but that is not acceptable in a FAST-FOOD. specially if theirs enough crew in each station! all of your comments that I see that u call people foolish make me have nausea and vomit because YOU are a fool!
meal order made wrong again/unhelpful staff
I came to whataburger and once again... I say once again because they get my order correctly about 1 out of 10 times... It's beyond irritating. When I got my order wrong again this time I decided I would bring it back up there to get it fixed. When I did bring it back later that day I brought my receipt but accidentally dropped it in a puddle of water right outside the whataburger while talking to the person on the intercom that takes the order. When I pull up and speak to the worker slash manager on duty she is extremely rude refuses to replace my order and says she's going to call the police on me for not moving my vehicle. I think it's unfair I think it's rude and I think it's terrible customer service I love the food but I hate the place
food quality and order preparation
I came to location @ 3222 W. Camp Wisdom rd. Dallas, Texas 75237. I ordered 2 number 2 with cheese and bacon. My order only had cheese and bacon on one burger. The other one was plain and my fries where cold to the point they almost tasted Stella. I really love Whataburger but this is the second time I've been disappointed at this location and always spend $20 + one I visit this establishment. I probably one here anything back from this but I had to let you guys know because I really like Whataburger.
poor customer service attitude from store manager - iliana rivera
It is with great disappointment that I'm writing this complaint letter. On this day 12/9/2017 we placed an order at the 2426 North Haskell location. My order was missing a order of fries so I had called to bring this to there atttention. I spoke with a person called Iliana.I explained myself and
Said that there was a missing order of fries and she said that we could go back and pick the fries up. I had placed the call on speaker and my husband replied that we were already eating and that we would pick up the next day since we are loyal customers of our local Watabuger, before my husband could stop talking Iliana started to say " ya ya" and hung up. I immediately called back and she answered the call again. My husband asked her why she had made that remark and hung up, she stated that if we were unsatisfied with service that there was a 18006Burgers to call on the receipt if we wanted to call and place or complaint and hung up. This type of reaction was uncalled for especially over a order of fries. She was listed on the receipt as the General Manager and this is uncalled for. She was very unprofessional and rude. This would not be the type of person I would want to represent my Wataburger or want to be a roll model to the rest of my employees. Please put an end to this type of attitude with loyal customers as this may bring down your service.
Thank you,
Loyal Customer-Rosa Sendejas
Whataburger will most likely not see your complaint here. I would recommend calling their corporate office or the phone number that the general manager mentioned.
