Whirlpool appliance delivery
I placed an order in November, 2022 with an estimated delivery date of December 3rd. No one showed up on 12/3 and did not get a call or email from Whirlpool. Customer called and was rescheduled by Whirlpool for 12/16/22 but again no one showed up, and no call or email from Whirlpool. Customer called and was rescheduled again for 1/3/23 and again no one showed up, and again no call or email from Whirlpool. Customer called and was again rescheduled for 1/17/23. This is the worst customer service I have seen in a long time. Absolutely horrible. I am so thoroughly frustrated and the customer service reps act like we should just accept it as normal. They say the delivery dates are "estimated" and cannot guarantee them. That is completely unacceptable when people like me have to take off work to stay home and wait for them. If they schedule a date to deliver and install, then they should either honor that date and time window or not schedule for that date if they can't make it.
Desired outcome: I want a guaranteed date of when they are going to deliver and install the unit. I do not want to keep waiting around for deliveries that never show up. At this point they should be giving me the unit for free.

Puschased refrigerator oct 25 2022 at menards oct 25 2022 it stopped working dec 24 2022. I contacted menards on the 26th of dec they referred me to whirlpool. Whirlpool senr repairman on dec28 th. He said compressor had went bad but did not fix it said had to order part and there was a back log so didnt know when he would get it in. I called whirlpool back and ask them to expedite the part or jus give me another refirgerator was informed they had to wait 21 days for reair to get part and then they would try get p;art
Desired outcome: I want refrigerator fixed or replaced in a reasonable amount of time i cannot do without a fridge for 21 days i have already been 4 days without one

purchased a new home on 11-29-2021 that had whirlpool appliances. The refrigerator stopped working in the first 3 months. Contacted whirlpool and they sent repair personnel out 5 times attempting to fix with no success. this went on for nine months. they finally have agreed to replace the refrigerator. Been waiting several weeks for a new refrigerator to come in. the representative said the refrigerator was in and would be contacting shortly. Two weeks later still no refrigerator. attempted to contact whirlpool representative thru email and phone messages and she will not respond. Will be purchasing a new refrigerator before the holidays and will be looking at all administrative remedies to recover losses.
Desired outcome: replace refrigerator before i spend the money on new one or refund

I am a Hurricane Ian flood victim who had lost my home, all my contents, and everything I own inside. My home had to be gutted due to flooding and I had to discard everything, to include my kitchen cabinets, kitchen appliances, bathrooms, furnishings, clothing, bedroom sets, memories, both automobiles, and much more. My loving parents also live with me, and they lost all their precious memories and personal belongings as well. I then had to watch FEMA assistance garbage removal take my entire life’s work and load them into a dumpster for destruction.
While sorting out in my brain and trying to make sense of what just happened, I then needed to coordinate a multitude of projects simultaneously. Words cannot express the volume of attention and work that is actively happening every day following the Hurricane, to gain a sense of normalcy. This narrative is not one of those things I want to be doing amongst all this chaos.
To all my fellow friends viewing this and dealing with similar issues.
Here is the short list to a very long list of other things.
1. Apply for FEMA and completed copious amounts of supporting documents
2. Apply for SBA and completed copious amount of supporting documents
3. Coordinating securing transportation daily
4. Trying to find a vehicle in an over inflated unaffordable market
5. Coordinating alternative housing
6. Speaking with adjusters and providing supporting documents and photos
7. Speaking and coordinating with many different contractors to line up estimates for every part of my destroyed home.
8. Working around the clock to try and remediate the home to prevent further mold damage.
9. Composing this much needed letter for my fellow Americans to view, which I have limited to no time left in a 24 hour period to sleep. But then again can’t sleep due to unnecessary problems being piled on the list. (AKA. Refrigerator)
The list continues but I will get to the point of Whirlpools lack of honoring their warranty and standing by their products. I will attach the service technicians notes/report to support my concerns/ narrative.
After Hurricane Ian, I purchased and currently own a Whirlpool side-by-side Refrigerator/Freezer that is approximately four months old. The refrigerator makes several different loud noises and runs extremely loud. This Whirlpool refrigerator is the first and only appliance to date I was able to purchase following the Hurricane.
I did an online request for a service tech to diagnosis the refrigerator. The techs report reads as follows:
Technician's Notes Begin:
Checked refrigerator for noise. Upon arriving, I found refrigerator making a loud vibration noise. Customer also has several video recordings showing different noises it makes. Compressor is giving off a loud buzzing sound and the cabinet is vibrating louder than normal. The unit is also making popping noises. The vibration noise is the cardboard plate underneath the refrigerator that acts as an airflow guide. This is vibrating against the metal frame. Tried to cushion this and re-position it. Still making a loud vibration sound. Tech support states I cannot remove this piece. They recommended taping it down. You cannot gain proper access to do this without removing the compressor or tipping the unit on its back. Popping noises seem to be the refrigerant being compressed and pushed through the system. This is something I have seen and heard more with R600s. This does not appear to be a noise I can eliminate or prevent. Even by replacing the compressor and recharging the system, it may still make a popping sound. Advised the customer of this. Unit is making more noise than any other unit I have seen. Not sure any part replacement will make a difference. Advised customer to try and reach out to WHIRLPOOL customer service.
Technician's Notes END:
Following this diagnosis, I was advised by the tech to follow up with Whirlpool. Upon speaking with representative Felisha, I advised her of my circumstance regarding that this is the first appliance I had purchased after falling victim to hurricane Ian and explained very kindly that the unit sounds like a semi-truck running in the kitchen. I kindly asked and requested that Whirlpool exchange the refrigerator or provide a credit towards another unit.
Felisha referred to the service techs report and advised there is nothing Whirlpool can do about this because the warranty does not cover loud noises. She blamed the faulty refrigerator on the service tech for not properly doing his job, rather than doing what was right.
She advised that the service tech should have removed the compressor to tape down a piece of cardboard to stop one of the three different noises from occurring. I wanted her to reflect on the Techs report to see that this was a muti-noise issue dealing with different parts of the refrigerator, as described in the techs report and the videos taken by the tech.
I explained to her that there is a level of reasonableness for how loud a normal operating refrigerator should sound. I also discussed that even the service technician’s findings reflected the same conclusion. (Technicians Notes) Unit is making more noise than any other unit I have seen.
I kindly requested several times that Felisha allow me to speak with her supervisor. She declined for me to speak with anyone else and advised that she was the only department that would handle this complaint and that there was no supervisor above her to speak to. She would not even allow me to speak with another colleague in her department for a second opinion or another set of eyes to examine my case.
I found this false and untrue, and I knew after pleading for help, that she was uninterested and not going to assist at all. Her annoyance with my refrigerator issue was apparent in her responses. There was no sense of understanding or compassion.
She was speaking to me like a child that was not listening to her directions, and it was obvious that I was frustrating her day.
I’m sure she will be going home to her nice cozy home with a perfectly operating refrigerator and collecting that check every two weeks with Christmas bonus from Whirlpool for not approving another claim.
All my appliances that were damaged in Hurricane Ian were Samsung. They have all lasted nearly 8 years with no issues besides a problem with the dishwasher. When I contacted Samsung regarding the dishwasher, I did not have a long-extended wait on hold, and they stood by their appliance. Samsung’s Customer service was outstanding.
Again, as a refrigerator owner for my entire life, and like most other families in the United States, there is a level of reasonableness for how loud a normal operating refrigerator should sound.
When I asked Felisha from Whirlpool if my only solution was to live with the refrigerator sounding like a tractor trailer throughout my home, she advised there is nothing that Whirlpool can do to resolve the problem and I would have to live with the loud noisy appliance.
I attempted to post this same information on Whirlpools automated review site that was emailed to me but the system failed to upload my 1 star review after several attempts. I believe this had something to do with the poor rating/reviews I was providing. However, this is an answer we will never know.

Washing machine!
I bought a "New" top-loader a couple of years ago and now it seems to dance around during the spin cycle. We also purchased a warranty with the machine and it "recently" expired. I will never buy a new washing machine from Whirlpool again! I would like your response and am requesting that you step up and fix this product. Whirlpool had a great reputation and that is why I bought one. My impressions of Whirlpool have since changed and I would not recommend your brand. I await your response.

I own a Whirlpool side-by-side Refrigerator/Freezer that is approximately three years old. Unfortunately, my ice make stopped working a few weeks ago (approximately 11/1/2022). I had a service tech come out & he stated that the problem was with faulty wiring for the freezer door & he showed me where wiring was broken (between the fridge & the freezer door). He stated that it was caused by normal opening/closing of the door. Five out of the eight of the wires in the harness are broken). He further stated that the cost to replace the door was about $700, almost as much as I paid for the Refrigerator.

Duel fuel kitchenaid 30" range with aqualift cleaning
I purchased the KitchenAid duel fuel 30" range and it was installed in 2022 after spending almost a year doing a complete home renovation. The oven was clean when I started my Thanksgiving dinner because we moved in the summer and we do not use the oven during the heat of summer and in the fall - we use the outside grill.
I have spent four hours trying to clean it after cooking my Thanksgiving dinner. I would never have purchased this range if I had known that it was not self-cleaning. The misnomer is that it uses AquaLift cleaning to get the oven clean, but it does not. I am 69 years old and the only way to clean this oven is on your hands and knees even after running the clean cycle four times. I ordered and used Affresh cooktop cleaner, and again it takes hours to clean the oven on your hands and knees with your head stuck in the oven.
There is no excuse for doing this to consumers in this day and age. I gave up cleaning the range on hands and knees when I was in my 30's, and yet, here I am again. Please make this right.

Due to being totally fed up with repetition on explaining the circumstances, I am going to highlight events that took place with my recently purchased refrigerator.
• Purchased Model: WRS555SIHZ Serial #: HRA3532573 refrigerator from Best Buy 10/2021
• 10/20/2022 Refrigerator stopped cooling on and off for a week
• 10/25/2022 Freezer stopped freezing on and off for a couple days
• 10/29/2022 contacted Best Buy for repairs; in which I was informed to contact Whirlpool due to manufacturer’s warranty.
• 10/31/2022 completed on-line registration and service request through whirlpool.com
• GUINCO Service was assigned and due to come out 11/7 between 8a-4p.
• 11/4/2022 received a text message from GUINCO indicating there will be $145 diagnostic fee and $5 fuel charge and someone will reach out
• Never received a call confirming appointment
• 11/8/2022 completed another repair request through Whirlpool
• Premier Appliance scheduled for 11/16/2022
• 11/16/2022 Technician comes out, charges $105 diagnostic fee and says he “believes it could be the relay” $385. But if he replaces the relay, the compressor
could also go out. He wasn’t for sure of what the issue was (so why am I paying a diagnostic fee if you aren’t even sure of the issue). He asks for my warranty info.
I informed I do not have the paperwork; he googled it and says I’m out of warranty and would need to pay out of pocket. He obviously wasn’t sure of this either.
• He stated if I wanted the work completed to give a call so they could order parts. He stated I should contact Whirlpool to see if they would cover the issue due to
breaking down so close to out of warranty.
• I contact Best Buy for assistance
• 11/30/2022 Best Buy comes out and gives the same diagnostic and says they only cover 20% of repairs. They say I should “once again” contact Whirlpool due to the
Refrigerator being so new.
• 11/30/2022 I contact Whirlpool and finally get a live person who tells me I have been misinformed and my refrigerator parts and labor are covered for 5 years. She tells me
to call Premier Appliance back and have them fix the product.
• 11/30, 11/31, 12/1, 12/2 calls made to Premier, to no avail! Left messages and conveyed urgency, still no answer.
• 12/2/2022 contact Whirlpool, spoke with representative Zaria whom in which cannot divulge last name or operator ID number; was informed the opposite from previous representative
• I was informed I have a limited warranty and relay, parts and labor are NOT covered. I informed Zaria that I have been without a refrigerator for over a month, my food went bad, the
vendors Whirlpool use are incompetent, and I went the Holiday without a refrigerator. I need something to be done! If I have to purchase a new refrigerator; Whirlpool needs to reimburse. I cannot afford to continue to wait and hope the company who was quick to take my money isn’t quick to provide a solution. She tried calling Premier and was unable to reach anyone as well. She placed a new order with GUINCO and stated she would do a 1-time curtesy to repair the fridge at Whirlpools expense, parts and labor. She then made a note on the service request stating: “Fridge is not cooling already been diagnosed Relay and Compressor; compressor covered parts and labor relay is not.” I asked her to correct the note due to her stating the parts and labor is covered. She stated “they” would see it. I stated I need to be sure due to the amount of time that has lapsed. She wouldn’t make a call out to the company; therefore, I had to jump out on faith and do so myself.
12/06/2022 - GUINCO comes out to repair the refrigerator and states he only brought 1 of 2 parts needed. He stated he would return Friday 12/9 to complete repair after ordering the compressor. He indicated the part is local and he would have it by Friday. I received a phone call on 12/8 from GUINCO informing the parts are on back order and there is no eta on when it will be in. I am now livid! I have n refrigerator, no eta on when it will be repaired and receiving poor customer service all around the board. I NEED ANSWERS! If I have to purchase a new refrigerator, I am requesting whirlpool reimburse me.
These entire 2 months + and experience has been nothing short of an absolute mess. Being a business owner of multiple companies; I find it difficult to believe that a company as large as Whirlpool can drop the ball in so many ways.
I am requesting this issue be fixed immediately or I am prepared to proceed with the next steps of this consumer complaint.

Exactly the same situation. Purchased a WRF 555SDFZ17 French door refrigerator that was delivered 11/15/2023. On 11/30/2023 ( TWO WEEKS) the refrigerator completely failed.
I reported it to Whirlpool 11/30/2023. i was told by Whirlpool that day that the first available service person would be scheduled for 1/2/2024.
I called the service company Whirlpool uses and was told that that had no work order and that they only have someone in our area one a month and since it was the holidays they had no idea when that would be.
I called Whirlpool back and was told the first appointment was January 2 2024. and there was nothing else the can do. The only was it would be replaced was if it failed within 48 hour!
They did not have a supervisor for me to talk to and January 2 2024 was the best they could do.
They suggested I call the service company S and S out of Alabama and ask for a cancellation if one happened.
S and S is in Alabama and could only come to my Florida area once a month on 1/2/2024.
I received a new $1700 refrigerator on 11/15/2023 right before we left town for Thanksgiving to see family. When we returned the refrigerator would not work.
How can a company as well known as Whirlpool expect a brand new customer to wait over a month to have a working refrigerator.
I finally called Home Depot to find out if they could do anything. They immediately scheduled an employee for 3 days later to determine that it didn’t work. They sent out an employee to verify that it didn’t work at all.
He called Home Depot before he left and had them on speaker phone. Home Depot would contact Whirlpool and arrange for a replacement. After he left I talked to Home Depot and the great employee there had me on hold while he contacted Whirlpool. Every few minutes he came back on the line and was still trying to get Whirlpool to send a replacement. He tried of an hour and a half then told me the best they would do was to have their repair service come on 1/2/2024.
So a brand new French door refrigerator would leave us without a refrigerator for over a month during the holidays. It was over 48 hours old so it didn’t qualify for a replacement!
In October our 2 year old LG refrigerator’s compressor had failed It had a ten year warranty on the compressor..
LG could not find an isobutane certified repair person for a month and finally sent me a check for the full purchase price.
I bought a more expensive Whirlpool that worked for 2 weeks. Both refrigerators had the same isobutane compressor system.
A total of about 3 months with no working refrigerator!
I can’t believe that it is acceptable for a major manufacturer to refuse to replace a $2000 refrigerator that only ran for 2 weeks.
Desired solution : a new French Door refrigerator of the same value for delivery or a complete refund of the purchase price and removal of the defective refrigerator within a week.

I purchased a new home and the refrigerator that came with the package was a Whirlpool brand. About 10 months after being in my home, my ice maker quit working. I contacted Whirlpool customer service and they were supposed to order a part because it was still under warranty. I called about a month later and they informed me that the part was never ordered. However, they assured me they would get it ordered. Needless to say, this never happened. I called again about a week ago and they said there's nothing they can do to help me. Please help me understand why they won't honor the warranty. They offered me a gift certificate towards the purchase of a new refrigerator. My refrigerator is new.
Desired outcome: I would like a replacement or fix my ice maker.

Our Whirlpool refrigerator was purchased on 12/3/2021 from Lowe's and was delivered on 12/5/2021. On November 18, 2022, less than a year from purchase, the refrigerator stopped cooling. We made a claim that night and a technician came out on Monday, 11/21/22 and stated it was the electrical board and he couldn't replace. One Monday, 11/21/22, my husband spent 70 minutes waiting to talk to a Whirlpool rep. He was advised a technician would be out on 12/6/22. Today the technician arrived and stated that the compressor had to be replaced. We would receive a call within 72 hours letting us know when the part would be available and then we would set up another service call. For a $3k refrigerator to last less than a year is unacceptable. To wait 3-4 weeks for repairs for a product under warranty is completely unacceptable. We trusted Whirlpool to make a good product. Now that there has been an issue, the length of time for service is absurd. How can you expect a family to go weeks without a refrigerator? Our inconvenience doesn't seem to bother Whirlpool. We looked into repairing ourselves but the part alone is over $600.

Range Fire
Ref # [protected] - I have been waiting for almost 1 month (Nov 3) to replace my range. Fire report states range is not to be used. I was told last week to get a new range and hold the damaged one for inspection. That I could not have it taken away when the new range was delivered. However I was instructed to purchase a new range.
Today I received a call stating they were scheduling a "repair." This is not what was discussed or agreed upon with each call with Whirlpool (after being on hold over an hour 2 times now. Not acceptable!) I have a new range purchased and being delivered tomorrow.
A phone call is requested immediately to resolve this unacceptable series of events.
I have been on hold for 1 hour, 6 minutes and just had a recording state that my wait time in the que is 26 minutes. Oh, no now it's 30 minutes! Not acceptable with a company as large as Whirlpool!
Desired outcome: Take my damaged range away and reimburse me the full purchase price!

My son-in-law, Chris Klein, purchased this product for me on 3/23/2022, at Lowe's in Augusta, GA. Fulfilled by Lowe's Columbia, SC. The ice maker would not work after installation. Lowe's sent a repairman to repair it. The repairman made adjustments, but still would not make ice. The repairman order another ice maker and installed it. After a week it was still not working properly so he came back and made more adjustments. Worked fine for 5 months, but now it has stopped working again. Whirlpool now has someone else coming, but they say they can not be here until Dec. 21, 2022. This would be the 5th time in 8 months I have had to have someone come out to repair this. I have contacted Whirlpool to see if they could find someone else that could come earlier, but haven't received an answer.
I feel it is only fair for Whirlpool to either replace this refrigerator or give me a 3-year extended warranty at no cost to me. Who is to say, after being repaired again, that it will go out in 4 to 5 months? Therefore that would be after the manufacture's warranty has expired and I would have to pay for repairs.
Every major appliance in my kitchen is Whirlpool, but I am very disappointed in this item. Would appreciate your help with this.

I bought this washer two months ago from Lowes it has already broke and now the repairs will take at least a couple of weeks. So my entire family is without a washer. I have called customer service repeatedly from whirlpool and they just gave me the run around.
If something breaks after two months the right thing to do would be to replace it. What happens when the repair guy comes back out with the control board and it doesnt work. I am going to have to wait another couple of weeks to get a new one during the holiday season.
This should be a complete replacement.

Whirlpool ice machine
I purchased a whirlpool refrigerator, and the ice machine is horrible. It doesn't give enough ice for one person so not sure how a family would use this. I called and replaced the ice machine, and it worked the same way. I was told from the local repair store after they replace this that Whirlpool ice machine does not give out a lot of ice.''
I contact Whirlpool but they are unable to do anything - its working ok they said.

Daughter purchased new Whirlpool washer from Lowes. JUNK out of the box. They replaced it. 7 months later, JUNK did the same thig the first one did, still under warranty. Wait for tech. bad computer, none are available. after a month still not available, I was told to keep waiting. called and complained, miraculously found one. Wait for install. Two weeks later, installed, MORE parts bad. wait for parts, wait for tech to install. two weeks tech installs parts, MORE parts bad. Called Whirlpool again and talked to supervisor. I was informed they CAN'T do anything about it. keep waiting for more parts and installation. From August to November with four kids and a paid for washer that is still broken. It's their policy, I was told it would be replaced after three repair calls. They count the three calls as ONE because they were all within 90 days. These people are the worst I've ever experienced. They don't care after the sale.

New Refrigerator not working
We bought a refrigerator in July and have not been able to go grocery shopping since we’ve had it. Every week it will stop cooling and whirlpool would send a tech out. Whirlpool wouldn’t pay the service company anymore so they stopped coming. Whirlpool swore if the part ordered didn’t arrive in 10 days they would order us a new one. Can you believe they sent the tech out on the 9th day to replace the part with THE EXACT SAME PART so they wouldn’t have to start the process of ordering a new one. The tech even said I have no idea why they are having us replace this part with the same one because this will not fix your fridge. Of course a week later we have the same issue so whirlpool sent out a new service company out and they said we have to order the part. The part was supposed to be ordered through the first service company in July

Don't buy this product! All 4 burners work by sensor. When they completely heat up, they turn themselves down, making cooking a challenge. Each burner also operates differently: some self adjust at different paces. This is not described in owners manual, and whirlpool will not send anyone out to explain how to use the product. Makes cooking a challenge. Whirlpool "Customer Care" is anything but that. They basically said that is the way the product is made and tough luck. Obviously designed by someone who doesn't cook...

Purchased this unit 3/19/21. Unit was delivered at the end of April delay due to supply chain. Unit delivered to new build which did not have power. Power was turned on 6/8/21 and the unit went into service. 11/15/2021 main control board went out. December 2021 went out again and was not repaired until Jan 2022.
We had to rent a fridge over the Christmas Holidays. Now the cooling fan assembly is out. Have been with out a fridge since Nov 4th. Lowes contacted Whirlpool and was advised they are not willing to swap out this unit. I am not stopping with Whirlpool and intend to file a claim with NC AG's office and the BBB. It is very easy for me to prove in 17months this unit has been in service we have had 2 main control boards, 1 cooling fan assbly and 1 other repair. Whirlpool is trying to say warranty started at the time of sale and any reasonable person will think it will start when unit goes into service. I expect a response. I have proof of the repairs, when the power was turned on at this residence.

I built a new home and moved in it July of 2021. In my kitchen is a side by side with ice and water on the door. I have had to have a service man already three times. Last time he told me I needed a whole door because of the way ice maker is made. This is ridiculous for a new product to last just a little over a year. To get it fixed with labor and material will be over a $1000 due to the whole door has to be replaced of course this isn’t covered. The service man told me he has had several of these happen to him. Very poor product and service on your part. Type is 25MSSAT Manufacture date is 202104
