Hello. Thank you for taking a few minutes to read this message. I have shopped at the William Sonoma located at Columbus Circle in New York City several times over the past decade and have had outstanding experiences. I was incredibly disappointed, however, by the lack of follow-thru, by an employee, the store manager, nonetheless, during the two weeks.
I made a purchase 10 days ago. While there, I also wanted to buy four crystal glasses that were not in stock at this store. The manager said that he would call other stores to locate them and then call me to get the order placed.
Since I did not receive any follow-up from him, I stopped in the store five days later and asked him the status of the four glasses. He said that he had not had a chance to locate them. I requested that he follow-up and get back to me by the end of the day which he verbally acknowledged he would do.
Two days have passed and no communication from him. And this individual is the store manager! He appeared to have time to kibbutz with his employees, however, did not have time to generate business for his store. Perhaps he should learn how to prioritize and the art of delegation
I am certain that corporate will be as disappointed as I was by this lack of follow-thought and professionalism. When store sales are lower than expected, you will see why.
Thank you for listening.
