Fraulent refund policy
I ordered for the first time approximately two weeks ago. I got a coupon mailer and ordered the 6 bottle mixed case for a dinner party /wine bar. The wine was less than drinkable. When I contacted the customer service, they told me to send the wine back-I asked how could I do this, the bottles were open so my guests could sample them. I was given the run around put on hold for 10 minutes to be told no refund unless the wine was returned. The coupon in the mailer clearly states 100% NO RISK MONEY BACK GUARENTEE. I never had such a bad experience as this and embarrassing as my guests clearly didn't like the wine and I had to go out and purchase more to salvage the evening and my pride.

Just tell me what you think about this sequence regarding Order Number: [protected], Charge: $87.89 December 12, 2015 [After I claimed that my Groupon coupon didn't work] Dear Arnaldo, Thank you for contacting Wine Insiders. I am so sorry we were not able to help you at this time – I have cancelled this with our warehouse and reversed the charges. Please...

From the Groupon 5 year Anniversary offer I ordered 2 "Buy $75.00 worth of wine for $25.00. I purchased one for myself and one as a gift. When ordering I could not find any of these Wineries/Wines online. So I went by the few 'customer reviews' to order. Not being able to find any information about these wines should have been my first clue that something was wrong. When I received the box of 6 wines (I paid a little extra) all 6 'cork seals' had the exact, unmarked black coverings. None of the wine bottles had back labels. We tried 3 of the wines and all 3 were so bad--almost watery. Furthermore, all 3 tasted the same even though from 3 different kinds of wine. All 3 had 'blank' corks. All the bottles are the same green in one of two shapes. I really feel these wines are not legitimate. On the Wine Insiders website the bottles have a variety of colorful and marked 'cork covers'. The bottles have a variety of colors and shapes. I feel super cheated. I order from "Lot 18" normally and they are an example of legitimate wines and bottling.
still haven't received product 6 weeks after I ordered
I ordered wine on May 3rd & it's June 12th & still have not received shipment or any shipping info!
False Claims of product quality and guarantees
DO NOT buy wine from wineinsiders.com. Their wines are terrible and their claim of 'if you're not satisified, we'll refund you're money and pay return shipping' does NOT exist. 2-buck-chuck is 10 times more drinkable than the wines they sell, and I tried half a dozen before I gave up. All the reds taste the same - weak, old (not 'aged'), woody (not oaky), sour and dull. The whites are just as bad. I didn't expect much given the price points, but you can't even make sangria or punch out of it. Their customer service is inept and frustrating to deal with, so don't bother. Hopefully you got a groupon for them, because groupon will refund your money if you're not satisfied.
100% AGREE! Every bottle I opened smelled like river water. Not happy at all considering I not only spent the $25 for the groupon but an additional $25 for shipping...NEVER again!
Cust serv. HANG UP. $75. coupon was worth .01 cent
Wine Insiders = a very BAD idea.
I participated in a promotional offer to receive $75. in wine for only $25.
I paid the $25. then paid an additional $120. for the wine order, when I applied the coupon, only .01 cent was credited to the order.
The wine shipped, I received full billing for what tasted like bargain wine.
When I attempted to reconcile the purchase by calling the 800 number, My call was promptly disconnected three times (each time at the point where I indicated that I would like to resolve an issue).
I have a BAD TASTE in my mouth from "Wine Insiders" - Bad Deal, No Customer Service, Bad Wine, No way to reconcile the mis-representation.

I've been waiting two months on an order that was suppose to be resent
Looks like another good place to buy wine. WRONG. they take a minimum of one month to send any order. and god help you if there is a problem with the order. they will substitute wine with wine not even close to the right stuff. Customer Care just runs interferience and will not help you with anything. I've been waiting two months on an order that was suppose to be resent after UPS destroyed the first shipment.
WINE
I purchased 2 Groupons...worth $75.00, used both on line to purchased 2 cases of wine but only 1 case was delivered.
I called them October and they state they only have 1 order in the system. But both certificates are invalid for use now. They could not find one of the orders which I have a email confirmation and states they would have a supervisor call me. No one has called and it's November now. Don't think I will use them again. Think it'll be cheaper just to go to Trader Joes or Bev Mo...less of a hassle. I won't waste my money on this again.

Poor service, poor wine
Bought their 12 bottle "Mystery Red" selection. Of the 12 bottles, half were unacceptable. I've written them three times to return the 6 bottles for a refund (as per their guarantee). So far, no response.
With this kind of bad service, why would anyone do business with this company? Bad products, worse service. I'm better off shopping at my local store.
Avoid www.wineinsiders.com
Horrible Wine. Undrinkable. Impossible to return.
STAY AWAY!
The wines here are horrible! I can barely drink them and my wife refuses to because the bottles we opened were so bad. I purchased a case thinking I’d serve this wine at a upcoming BBQ we’re having at our place. I can’t do that because I’d be embarrassed to serve this to guests. I’d rate the quality of the wine I purchased below the level of boxed wine like Franzia. Seriously.
Now I can’t even return the 10 unopened bottles I have because UPS says only authorized people can ship alcohol (at least in Illinois). On top of it, even if UPS did allow me to ship this case back, it would cost around $24 to do so. And Wine Insiders is going to deduct a little over $10 a bottle for the 2 bottles that I opened.
Save yourselves some headaches and don’t from Wine Insiders, you're not getting a good deal at all.
Yeah the wine is bottom line retail rebranded mass produced garbage...All the cali wine says "made and bottled" or just (California) the goverment regulations on that type of labeling means that the wine just came from california. THATS IT. It could be from anywhere in cali. Wine is worth no more than $5 a bottle. Its really bad. Save the embarrsemetn and dont buy this garbage.
Never send order
I purchased a wine club membership for my wife for a Christmas present. Both of us were pretty excited about it. I received a confirmation email on my order. After 50+ days, we did not received anything, so I called them. They claimed that they didn't receive the order. Every person I spoken to had a different excuse. They were unapologetic. Furthermore, the primary person that was responsible for the order was pretty rude. I would not do business with them again. I looked over at bizrate.com and it appears that their service is going downhill. Unfortunately wineinsiders will not let me rate them on Bizrate!
Buyer beware! ... Better still, look somewhere else!

Bad wine - Bad service
I purchased a case of twelve (Johns world tour) bottles of wine. The promo code #SM148 said two bottles each of the selected wines (all imported). When I recieved the case there were only two of the described wines. Then it gets worse. I returned the wine at a cost of $47.87. They said they had not recieved the wine although I had proof from ups including who signed for the returned product. If you go for their trial offers STOP THERE. These people are not to be trusted.

Poor customer service and misleading advertising. I used a groupon to purchase a case of "Mystery Reds"...as in plural. The photo they use to depict the case displays a variety of different wines. Instead I received a case of a single no-name Merlot. When I contacted their customer service they saw no issue with their marketing nor were they willing to try to resolve the situation. That's not a great way to develop return customers...especially online.
Buyer beware.
Placed an order July 11, 2016 and was told it would be delivered in 2 weeks. This was a birthday gift for a dear friend. It is now Aug. 5th and the wine was still NOT delivered. I called Wine Insiders with my confirmation # and was told they had no order info. I was told they were going to listen to the recorded phone order and get back to me right away. That was 5 hours ago. Wish I had read the reviews before I ordered from them. If they do get back to me I WILL be cancelling the order. I will also contact AARP (which is where I saw Wine Insiders advertisement) and complain to them also.
After I bought my Groupon for WineInsiders.com I read the complaints about them and got worried. Went ahead though and submitted my order. As mentioned, the groupon did not automatically go through, but I sent them a quick email when they sent me the shipping notification and within a few hours they credited the $75 to my card. Fantastic service! No issues whatsoever.
Ordered the 6 bottle "Juicy and Delicious Reds", which was far from the truth.
They did arrive as promised with a corkscrew. That where the problems begin ... opening and tasting ! I don't even think the septic system liked it when I dumped them down the drain. False advertising. All wines came from the same winery ...Jenna in San Martin, CA. (No insult to the many fine wineries of California that we have experienced many times).
A bargain is not a bargain if it burns going down !
I ordered their special newcomers deal for 6 bottles of red wine for $35 on Nov 29, 2015. My credit card was immediately charged. On Dec 8th I called since I had not received any info on shipping and found out it was "still in the warehouse". They claim that it takes 1-2 weeks to ship their product. Since it had not been shipped I asked for my order to be cancelled and to refund my credit card. They said they would but it would take 5-7 for the refund to show up on my credit card. Charging customers before shipping product and then dragging out refunds are not good business practices. Stay away from this outfit.
I ordered from Wine Insiders via Groupon, based on their deal described as "buy $75 worth of wine for $25." That was not the real deal. The real deal was pay between $140 and $180 for 12 bottles of wine and get a $50 discount, a classic bait and switch. With all of these serious complaints about this company I wonder whether Groupon has any screening standards for companies they allow to advertise with them. It would seem Groupon would have some concerns about their reputation with partners such as this. It makes me think twice or three times about ever using Groupon again.
Wine Insiders has very rude customer service. Purchased the Groupon.
I ordered the wine Mystery Mixed 12 Pack for a Christmas gift. I placed my order on Nov. 23 2012. As instructed by the website emails were to be sent to us and the gift recipient prior to delivery because someone has to be there upon delivery. I called 12-15-12 to check on delivery. I was told that delivery was attempted 3 times so it was being returned to them. I asked what they were going to do because we never received the emails about delivery to begin with. I asked for a manager and the account manager said they could reship it but no delivery by Christmas. If a company makes a mistake you would think they would fix it by expediting the shipping, but they said no. I will never order again and I was going to have this as an annual gift. The manager and the customer service representative were both very rude and offered no other options to make good on their error.
I ordered one of their 12 bottle specials of mixed reds and whites. The first 3 reds I poured down the drain right after opening. I just had a100 dollar lesson in consumer beware. I do not have much confidence in what remains. I guess I will use what remains to marinate steaks.
.
I ordered the twelve bottle "Reds to Remember", believe me, they were memorable...like wine vinegar...not good red wine that I
had expected. They were all table wines. I opened the first bottle and it was very disappointing; thought maybe it was a fluke. I opened a second bottle from the same winery and it was just as bad. I opened a bottle from another brand and it was flat, weak, and vinegary. I opened a bottle from the third vineyard and it was just as bad.
I will stick with ""Trader Joe's" under $10.00 that are from all countries as well as American and very tasty!
I hope Groupon will drop this company as my other experiences with Groupon have been great! This company does not represent Groupon well...reputation is everything!
Same experience here, got a 12 bottle case of "Mystery Reds" with the Groupon deal. Wines don't even have UPC barcodes, winery names seem made-up as noted above. we have opened 11 of 12 bottles as of tonight, simply poured out most of those. Wines are generally weak, sour, terrible. Can a whole case be corked? I don't think so.
We are very sorry we did this, and will never go near Wine Insiders or Groupon again. I suspect that both will tank soon, anyway.
Neither one will stand behind this purchase. A total scam.
Bad service
On May 18, 09 I recieved a case of wine from this company. The order was for 2 each of 6 different wines (all imported). Only two of the twelve bottles were as advertised. I returned the wine the same day by ups. It was recieved by the shipper on 5/22/09 and signed for by Nancy. They are telling my credit card company that they never recieved the wine. I did have authority to return the wine on 5/18/09 from Reba.

Worst customer service. Manager Yolanda at Austin, PA is extremely arrogant and rude. I'll never do business with Wine Insiders again!
from recent shipment a bottle of Toscana Bianco 2011 LZ3009 had something silky looking attached to inside bottle wall and floating in wine. after leaving it sit at room temp. for 10-15 min. it disappeared. I will not drink, and would like replacement.
I ordered 3 groupons for wine insiders. Groupons clearly states 3 per person Limit 1 per order meaning to me I can log in again and use another Groupon... Wine Insiders said NO its1 per household 1 per family or 1 per addressor one per person. Then they said no such Groupons, My adult children whom lives at another address tried to using my credit card then Wine Insiders stated 1 per credit card.. CLEARLY NOT WHAT THE GROUPON STATED.
VERY VERY POOR SERVICE.. then I find only for about 2 dollars more per 12 bottles I can get the same wines at PUBLIX, WALMART and Winn DIXIE Stores
VERY VERY VERY ROTTEN CUSTOMER SERVICE for a 5 dollar wine..
Wine Insiders is sorry to hear you received a defective bottle. Please call our customer service at [protected] and ask to speak with a supervisor about a replacement.

I purchased 15 bottles as a gift. Only 14 were delivered. Requested bottle to be shipped to recipient. They offered to credit $7.00 on next order. Again requested bottle to be sent. Then they offered less than $7.00 Credit on my credit card. Still requested bottle to be shipped and requested owner to call me. No response from anyone at the company.
