Woodforest national bank purposefully held debits until my account balance had dropped to zero. Once at a zero balance, woodforest posted these debits, deducted two od fees, and continued to charge me $3 a day for two months! I now have a report with chexsystems and woodforest in the amount of - $609.

You need to check and see if the funds have already been deducted from your account. If you don't get e-mails, you SHOULD NOT be afraid to call the (TOLL FREE NUMBER) and talk to CUSTOMER SERVICE to see where you stand money wise.
good luck.
you have to keep track of your account- they can't charge you overdraft fees if you don't spend more than you have.
Hey there, used to work for Woodforest, there's no such thing as a bank "holding" debits. We have no control over that, it's all about when the merchant(the place where you made the purchase) chooses to cut the batch and send that information to us, it could be days before we even see it. If you were keeping track in your register, you would have seen when you spent that money and subtracted it from your balance, so you would have known how much you had.
Wood Forest is just another type of LEGAL mafia, My son with drew $10, 000 form his Credit Union. took it over to Wood Forest and deposited it. They took the Money, but when he went back to the Truck Dealer where he was trying to buy a truck for his business, he wrote out the check on Wood Forest. (He didn't have a checking account with the Credit Union.) They told him it would be thirteen days before, the check would be good.
Thirteen days went by and the Dealer still had not received the money. When he went over to Wood Forest in East Moline Ill. he was told that Family Credits money order was no good and they didn't do business with them. The ten thousand dollars mysteriously disappeared. The clerk illegally closed his account.. There fore his money is no where to be found. So those of you that think this Banking institute is so great you had better think twice.I to want the name of a class action against this Mafia organization. MS
Sorry I disagree. Something must have been wrong with your son's deposit. I bought a HOUSE/Fixer Upper with my WoodForest Checking Account. Cash Money (So to Speak.) So you see, There's something about your story that doesn't ring true... It's all about Money Management. It sounds to me as if your son did something wrong. Or The Credit Union your son was a part of did something wrong. I don't care what you say $10, 000.00 IN ANY BANK Doesn't just turn up "Missing"... That's FBI Investigation Territory. So, if you haven't contacted The FBI, Or they haven't contacted you? It would seem to me that someone is telling a Fib...
