staff member at cash register
I was paying for my groceries at Dural Woolworths when the alarm sounded. The staff member thought it was something in my purse. Naively I didn't realise she was looking for a stolen gift card until my son old me that later. I handed over my purse and she removed many of my cards. It still beeped so she decided it was the label inside the purse. As it is 3 years oldI told her that was not possible or it would have happened before. She would not accept that and with great difficulty tore the label out. My notes now stick to the sticky surface. Meanwhile customers were lining up and listening. I had my grand daughter with me, I apparently do not look like someone who would steal cards, it was so embarrassing.
To top it off I went to the library after this episode and my library card, which always lives in my purse, had disappeared.
I understand security is important at your premises but putting a grey haired grandma through this was not a proffessional exercise. I suggest staff are trained appropriately and have the ability to assess the situation a little better. It als affected the waiting customers, one who suggested laughingly that the staff member had stolen one of my notes. Not a good morning.
woolworths supermarket policy
7.00am this morning in Marden Woolworths i watched as numerous asians ran in and out of the store cleaning the shelves of baby formula. They had at least 4 plastic bags each and had 2 cans approx per bag each . There was a female clearly in charge she assaulted me when i tapped her on the shoulder and asked her why she was doing this. Yes i caused a scene when i was told by the staff that they have to stand there every morning and watch this happening and then told that your stores can not stop this ! Yes of course they can every store has the right to refuse entry or limit their stock to 1 per person per day etc
This can be stopped but clearly profit before care of customers and the availability of stock for their babies. The fact that they were laughing at us is clear that they are not concerned about what they are doing and clearly they think the store is a joke for not stopping this. It would be truly wonderful if our aussie stores cared enough to do something about this .
outdoor grounds of store
Dear sir/madam,
I want to know who can rectify the appalling conditions of the outdoor grounds of the Campsie Woolworths store? Has anyone in head office pushed a trolley full of groceries out of the store up the ramp along the cracked and unsafe concrete crossing, which leads to Claremont street ? Have you observed elderly shoppers doing this?
We are not in a third world country and why are we subjected to these disgusting and dirty conditions?
I have shopped at other Woolworth stores which are in pristine condition, but this one takes the prize for DISGRACEFUL!
It is not right that we are subjected to such conditions.
Let me know what you think .Also the car park under the store is also atrocious. Come on Woolworths spend money on remodeling this store . I say bull doze it down and build a great super Woolworths store, like we deserve,
odd bunch granny smith apples
Hi Woolworths,
I recently purchased a bag of odd bunch apples from Woolworth at The Pines on the Gold Coast and I was disappointed, the majority of the apples I had to chuck out as they were bruised and looked like they had been dropped on the ground. I didn't think this was classified as an odd bunch apple as the quality was affected.. and these should of been chucked in the bin and not resold to the public. I also noticed one of the apples had brown all through it, so the bruising and oxidation from the process had affected the whole apple.
I've now gone to buying apples at full price because I know I'm more likely to receive a quality product.. but customers shouldn't have to compromise on quality by buying odd bunch apples and this looks like what is happening.
Could you look into this please.
Kind regards,
Leesa
price barcode
bought a piece o pumpkin and scanned barcode on self serv checkout which said $3.61 and put pumpkin piece into bag. A young male person came up to me and stated I had to weigh pumpkin. I showed him that it had a barcode and he wouldn't listen to me but changed my shopping list and proceeded to weigh the pumpkin and said it cost $4.01. He stated that the original price of $3.61 was per kilo and I pointed out to him that the barcode DID NOT mention that was per kilo. I have been shopping Woolies for 40 years and on checkouts the operators only scan barcodes on fruit and veg. Was not happy so went to Coles where scanned barcode only.

dan remo pasta
Hi. I have never complained before, but last night was a special occasion and went to a lot of trouble to make our meal nice, and I was very disappointed. I purchased a packet of San Remo cannelloni and when I went to fill them discovered that a lot of them were broken. I do realise that they are fragile, as a lot of other products are, but feel that more care should be taken when transporting and handling these sort of items. Just letting you know. Denise Shores. baby formula
Your company needs to take a stricter stance on the sale of baby formula.. I have filmed and seen films of the frenzy of Asian shoppers repeatedly going in buying buying until there is none on shelves. They are disrepectful to your staff and other shoppers Risk getting knocked over.. This is effecting all the young babies in our community including my granddaughter. For the past 7 months it is a continuous battle to get her formula. We have even travelled over 50kms regularly to source formula. Lock it up like other valuables might be a solution. It's becoming a very sad society..
baby formula
You have set a rule around the limitation of baby formula purchase yet do nothing about the people who simply repeat-buy on a turnstile type shopping expedition.
There have been several videos shared on facebook. Current affair and news programmes have highlighted this situation on several occasions yet you appear to do nothing about it. Why is that?
Is it that your profit comes before our children?
meat
On Thursday the 27th of December I purchased a kri vac pack of 6 scotch fillet steaks at a cost of $35.52 from the Woolworths store in Seymour, I don't know what or where this meat came from but it was so tough that it was inedible, and I don't just mean tough, it didn't matter how much you chewed it, it just didn't break down at all to be able to swallow it, probably that glued together crap, not sure but very expensive dog food which is what it became. Thankfully it was for a barbecue and I had plenty of other meat to feed my 22 guests or we would of all gone hungry.
infant formula
I was shopping in the Hornsby (NSW) Westfield store this afternoon and witnessed 5 Chinese people scooping tins of formula into multiple bags. They definitely had more than your 2 can limit ! When i spoke to staff in regards to this & pointed out one of the men responsible i was told they could do nothing about it. Please explain this to me, why this is happening & why your staff could do nothing about it. If you are going to have a limit why is it not enforced ! There was a mother with a very young baby wanting the same formula these disgusting excuses for humans were scooping up & they refused to give her any of the cans !
Woolworths standards are dropping everyday. I hate to think how many other parents are missing out on their formula choice because you let this happen. Do you realize the impact it has on babies guts when you change formula when not for a medical reason. To say i am upset, disgusted & appalled that you let this happen is an understatement !
mulgrave dc/produce dept
Hi I'm writing to you regarding myself being banned from your mulgrave dc... Regarding an alleged incident that Woolworths says that justify me being banned.
I'm a truck driver that has regularly attended mulgrave to deliver produce, needless to say I'm also a customer of your retail store&and have stock shares invested with Woolworths.
In brief there was a series of omissions errors and mistakes that has led to me being banned due to what I say, as your employees failing to follow policy and procedure, and based on one side of the story... I get banned.
I'll make it known that not only am I a truck driver, providing a service... Woolworths has potentially put my lively hood and financial status at risk, for what I call pettyness and bullying by your staff mainly in the produce section of the dc @ mulgrave.
I'll make it known that I'm a former national radio personality with connection throughout the media radio & TV!
I'm hask today that somebody if authority @ Woolworths Aust., to contact your produce dc and get to the bottom of this issue "as a matter of ergency"!
I've supplied my work place with a detailed incident report, as they need to know why I'm banned from the site!
I'll also make it known that as I'm a fair and reasonable person, I'm offering Woolworths Aust a right of reply, before I consider getting more legal advice from "from fairwork" regarding this outrageous /over the top seniro.
I'm totally disgusted @ the treatment and bullying by certain people @ the mulgrave produce site
If I can suggest that somebody contact "Helen" in that dept as a matter of ergency as previously mentioned... I will not tolerate this type bullying and stand over tactics.
If Woolworths Aust wish to treat there own staff in that manner, that is beyond my control, however I will not stand for it. Nor will I stand for a willy nilly ban based on hearsay when dashcam footage and cctv footage is available.
Please take this message very seriously, if this matter is not resolved within a reasonable amount of time, ... Make no mistake, I will personally take legal action.
And fairwork proceedings will commence.
Thanks for your time
Kind regards

Hi Brad. My husband too has been banned from this particular site in Mulgrave also. Apparently there appears to be this stand over bullying mentally associated with this site. He was given no direction with regard to the length of the ban, and no investigation was conducted so he was unable to defend himself which is inexcusable. He is not banned from any other sites around Australia and has a fantastic rapport with staff at all other sites he visits. I would love to see the policy which outlines the procedures and repercussions in relation to such events. Surely one persons opinion should not dictate the situation. In an industry where hustle and efficiency are a key factor perhaps this person should put their 'big girl' pants on and get on with business instead of satisfying personal vendettas at other peoples expense. I would love to know how the legal action goes and perhaps if enough drivers band together a reoccurring pattern could prove the discrimination and bullying that is currently occurring at this site.
christmas deliveries suspended
I am a disabled pensioner, that relies on the Woolworths home delivery service for my supplies. I went to do an online order last night (21st Dec 2018) and had reached $300 worth of items for Christmas shopping. On moving to checkout, when asked to pick a time for delivery the next available shown was for boxing day evening. By this time the longest staying family member will be well on their way home . No earlier delivery times were available.
I have been paying for "delivery anytime" on a month by month basis as this was the only way to get deliveries on weekends. There was no notice to customers like me on the site, that we could not get a delivery after a particular time. I guess we come last after profits, despite the fact it is customers that help make those profits. We (online shoppers) were just hung out on a limb.
I have been a loyal woolies customer online. This is going to change my long term outlook though. Your opposition is gearing up in my area (on home delivery as your service is not reliable when it is important to me.
Another point of niggle for me is the slow updates of stock availability online as every order has at least one item that is refunded due to unavailable.
As for being the fresh food people, trying telling that to my vegies (especially the celery). The last lot I received almost doubled over on itself when held upright .
woolworths truck driver
Whilst driving along the Bruce Highway, between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, yesterday afternoon (20th December, 2018), I experienced road rage from a Woolworths truck driver. The truck number plate was 004UFG. For 5-10kms this truck was tailgating me so closely that I could not even see the driver's cab. I was driving in the middle lane of the highway doing the speed limit (with cruise control on). The driver then flashed his lights at me (whilst tailgating), assumably out of frustration because his tailgating had not managed to make me drive faster (I.e. speed). He then overtook me (which means he was speeding himself, as these trucks are speed limited to 100kms/hour and he went past me, and I was going 100kms/hour with cruise control on). He then cut in front of me and I had to brake so as to not drive up the back of him because he then proceeded to drive under the speed limit. I then had to overtake him and was thankfully able to get away from him after that.
woolworths rockingham city
I would like to express my disappointment in the way I was treated at Woolworths Rockingham WA. Whilst scanning my groceries a staff member named Andrea barged into me and started inspecting my bag.. at first I thought she was going to help me transact the soft drinks I had in my trolley and I told her it ok I knew how to do it. (heavy goods and water) instead she started riffling through my already scanned shopping and rescanned a $3 pack of chocolate bars. I asked her why she did that.
She said "its theft not to pay for them" I showed her on the monitor that I had already scanned them.. she then proceeded to void her errant transaction... I told her to leave me alone as I knew what I was doing. Rather than apologize for her mistake she then blatantly lied to cover her error by suggesting there may of been goods already scanned in the system that were not mine and I would be paying for goods I do not have...
I have been on retail since 1976 including over 20 years as franchisee for companies such as Harvey Norman and The Good Guys. If any of my staff ever treated my customers that way there would be immefiate discipline procedures taking place.
I can assure you I have no need to steal a $3 pack of chocolate... a pack that I had already scanned.
I am not sure what her instruction from her manager are but I definitely think they need to be looked.
Without an apology I will not be returning to Woolworths Rockingham even though that is my local store.
I cannot support that type of behaviour
Why can't the area manager for Woolworths Tasmania get up of his she tail and ensure that specials advertised are actually available in supermarkets. I note that he doesn't take phone calls. If I were performing at this abysmal level I wouldn't either.
Why is it that the area manager for Woolworths Tasmania cannot get of his sheltered tail and ensure that advertised specials are available in supermarkets in Tasmania. It is easy to understand why he doesn't take phone calls. If I was performing at his level I wouldn't accept phone calls either.
Absolute disgrace I will no longer be shopping at Woolworths Rockingham either. JOHN SIME Rockingham.
staff at woolworths petrie qld
Good Afternoon
I wish to follow up in writing about a complaint that I made today to the Manager Geoff at Woolworths Petrie. This is in regards to a young male worker whom I think is called Sterling. He is thin, about 170cm with red hair. He usually works on the smoke counter.
I feel I have been targeted by this staff member on more than one occasion where he has been rude when I have asked him where items are (unfortunately he is in the front office which is where you ask about items you cannot find as there is not staff in any of the isles to ask). If he is on the self service he is particular obnoxious going much further than other staff do by challenging whether or not something has been scanned. Last week he challenged me that one of my dog foods hadn't gone through and he snatched from my hand the box that he believed hadn't been scanned and scanned it himself and then when I insisted it had been and he scrolled up on my list he could see that I was correct so he had to remove the item he had scanned. He did not apologise.
It is getting to the point that when I go to Woolworths if he is on self service I will wait in line at a checkout even if I only have a few items rather than have to deal with him.
Today when I got to Woolworths at approximately 2.30pm he was in the smoke office and there was an older blonde woman on self service so I went there. He immediately left the smoke office and came and stood to the side of me so close I could hear his breathing in my ear. I tried to ignore him but eventually I couldn't so I turned towards him and he said "let me see in your bag". I showed him my empty shopping bag and he huffed and walked off.
I asked him to get the manager. Geoff was the manager who came out whom I told my complaint to. I was upset and quite close to tears so I'm not sure how well I articulated my concerns but this is not the first time I have complained to the manager on shift about this person and I believe that he has been told I have complained and instead of him doing his job properly or leaving me alone he has decided to harass me more each time I come in.
I have shopped at Woolworths Petrie for over 20 years. I don't want and shouldn't have to shop elsewhere because this person is being inappropriate. There should be footage today that shows that he purposely left the smoke office and came over and stood so close to me. It should also show me speaking with Geoff afterwards.
I am a Manager with Ablecare, one of the biggest Allied Health and Disability Care Organisations in Queensland. I don't believe that I am easily upset but this young person has made a point of being rude and inappropriate whenever I go into the Petrie Woolworths.
I would like him directly spoken to about my concerns and I will make a point not to attend any checkout where he is and I ask that he does not take it upon himself to leave his post and come over to harass me each time I am in the store. If he has concerns about my bag or my shopping there are plenty of other appropriate staff who can come over to check themselves.
I would appreciate if I could get a return email that mine has been received and will be followed up.
Thank you
Sondra Englebert

only 2 checkouts open cumberland park south australia
Tuesday before christmas.
Supermarket very busy and only 2 checkouts open at 12 noon.
I waited 30 minutes to be served
Every customer when reaching the checkout complained and lady was trying to be as quick and efficient as possible but was flustered as she did not know who to ask for more checkouts to be opened.
What sort of management is this?
Self serve had a line up of 5 or 6 so no relief there.
Please improve your service or I will do my shopping at foodland.
I am a shareholder but cannot support you with this poor service during a time when your group should be maximising sales.
green nashi pears
Hi, I shopped at the strathalbyn woolworths between 4pm and 5pm monday 17th december 2018, on this trip I bought loose green nashi pears that appeared to be fresh and tasty. When my 7 year old daughter went to get one from the bag she encountered a very off product. There was no sign of this fruit being "off" when purchased yesterday. This is not the first time this has occurred, I have had it on a number of times from the same store with peaches and nectarines and have let it go, but it is starting to get ridiculous.
Thanks sam
truck drivers
This afternoon between 6-6.30 at booval fair Woolworths. One of your truck drivers did the most illegal thing and went up a one way street as there is road works going on there at the moment.
I had my son in the car and i got extremely scared due to the fact I had a huge truck coming my way. I was shaking and my son wasn't to happy he started yelling at the truck.
There was also a bus driver that had to reverse, so the Woolworth truck could get by us.
Lucky I was paying attention and so was the bus driver other wise I would have had a head on with the truck an a bus rear-end me.
Not happy at all !
google cards - refund denied to woman who was scammed out of $2500
My sister was scammed into buying $2500 worth of Google cards at your Cooma supermarket. Once she realised she requested a refund and was denied this. The cards are unredeemed so still carry their full value.
Google will not give a refund either! It feels like she has been scammed twice!
This scam took all that my sister had saved for Christmas.
She has the receipt, the cards and the police incident number and I would have thought that Woolworths could show some compassion at this time of year and am very disappointed in the response.
product
I bought a 3 pack of "First Force" insect control bomb, because it had Fenoxycarb in it, so rather than kicking back and relaxing today I decided to give my kitchen the once over and bomb it. I followed all the instructions opened all the cupboards closed the windows etc. Now my kitchen is small 3 Mtrs sq so 1 can should do the trick but I decided to go hard and use 2 one in opposite corners of the room. Left it for 3 hours + before opening up and cleaning down all the surfaces etc. I believed that it would kill cockies but it hasn't all it seems to have done is make them more active. NOT HAPPY 😡
