Yahoo "Unlock and change password"link goes to Verizon page but Vz has no record of my yahoo account
When I log into my email account I receive a page with the following message:
Account Alert
Dear Frank
Your account safety is our top priority. We have detected some unusual activity on your account and as a result we've temporarily locked it for your protection. You may unlock your account immediately by changing your password. This message page has the blue button "Unlock and change password"
When I click on the blue button and try to change the password I’m directed to a Verizon page and my YAHOO id is not recognized. Evidently my Yahoo account is linked to a old Verizon account which I don’t use but is fine but has no link or association with the Yahoo ID. I have had my Yahoo account for 20 years and have used it many times daily until it was suddenly locked on Aug 17, 2017. Since then i have not been able to access my email.
I had no evidence that my account was compromised. My yahoo account had been working fine there was no unusually activity. It appears Yahoo locked my account and I am unable to unlock it. My password and recovery information are correct.
I have read and tried all suggestions on Yahoo Central. Unfortunately, There is no useful or actionable information about this issue in Yahoo Central. Other Yahoo Help pages, Forums, Sign-In Helper and help.yahoo.com/kb/account, yahoo.com/security-update, etc then only lead to dead ends and endless loops.
I contacted Verizon and spent many many hours in tech support, including many different individuals and their Verizon supervisors. I requested my Yahoo account be unmerged from Yahoo. Verizon state they have no record of my YAHOO account. Verizon states they do not manage my YAHOO account and therefore Verizon is unable to take any action because the account does not exist on Verizon. Verizon concludes and insists that Yahoo has locked the account and Yahoo must unlock it and that it is a Yahoo account. Verizon who owns YAHOO was unable to provide a way via phone, email or letter to contact Yahoo.
Yahoo tech support (a human) seem impossible to reach.
Could someone suggest how to reach Yahoo customer support indirectly or directly? an email? a phone number?

yahoo mail
For an unknown reason I have been receiving excessive junk email. Approximately 20 per day.
They are all obviously spam and I am quite surprised they are passing the junk mail filter. The often contain explicit subject titles or use "special characters".
Despite marking them all as spam I am still receiving them regularly.
This has been going on for a few weeks now.
Could you please help reduce the number of spam emails?
Many thanks
Aaron Wroot.
A few days ago, I spent hours deleting some emails. I created folders and moved things where I felt they needed to go. Now that I log in again, all of my emails are back. How do I resolve this issue? I don't want to have to spend hours doing something that I already did. Time is precious and I shouldn't have to redo something that I've already done.
harassment from a person with a yahoo email account.
[protected]@yahoo.com sent me an email to my work email saying, "does your employer know you were on judge judy?"
This is bullying and harassment. I know it's a hater.
I was on Judge Judy a few years ago for a no big deal traffic violation thing. This person ( [protected]@yahoo.com ) sent me an email today.
It must be someone who hates me. How can I find out who the identify is of the sender?

I have not received emails on my Samsung Galaxy 5 since 07/25/17. It is ridiculous that you have not been able to correct this for almost a month. I can receive mail on my PC and Samsung tablet. However as I travel for business, my phone is my main email support. Is there a resolution for the problem coming and at what date can I expect it to be fixed?
My yahoo email is [protected]@swbell.net

I am complaining about the email problem
My computer has problem with internet problem, therefore I had to log in to my dad's email address for numerous times. While logging in, I didn't even change the password. However, my email on my dad's phone said that I had changed the password and it required me to type in the new password. I tried to type in the original password, but to no avail. Please fix this problem, otherwise my dad cannot work and is irritating me as my dad has no knowledge about technology. Everything is done by me. He has been asking me all sorts of questions which is really infuriating cause I cannot do anything about it.
The email address is: [protected]@yahoo.com. sg

inaccurate reporting
I am appalled to see Yahoo Sports had a news item (see below) regarding
wrestler Ric Flair's death. I tried to go into link to learn more & it linked me back to general news. All my research dictates this account is in error.
I could understand a mistake being made (ex: Mark Twain). However, what I can't fathom is the item is still posted is still posted (as of an hour ago).
I rely heavily on Yahoo for my news information & it makes me cringe to believe such action had taken place.

Ric Flair, wrestling's 'Nature Boy, ' dead at 68
Yahoo Sports1 day ago
Ric Flair, the high-flying, death-defying inspiration for three generations of wrestling fans, has died. He was 68. The Nature Boy, equal parts arrogance and attitude, won wrestling ...
yahoo, just shut down please
The service you provide is horrible. The staff that works for you is absolutely incompetent and rude. You ask big money for every occurring issue, you don't make exclusions even for your loyal customers. Each year your service becomes more and more stupid and one day you will ruin themselves because your attitude will do its work. I wish you the worst.
I get hundreds more junk/spam emails than I do legitimate messages. I mark them as spam and hit unsubscribe on many but they just keep coming. My Spam folder will fill with hundreds of these messages everyday. I do not like having all of my storage taken by spam. It will eventually mess up my computer if I do not keep deleting them everyday. Yahoo is a respectable service. Do you not have the manpower or the wisdom to block these spammers out. I literally have thousands of fraudulent messages telling me that I have won or inherited money in an attempt to get my personal information including my bank account number. Why aren't you or some GOVERNMENT AGENCY trying to track these frauds down and lock them up forever? I would like to copy these thousands of fake emails for you. I am sure that each of these frauds is using multiple email addresses!
pop ups on yahoo.com
There are continuous pop ups on the mail page. There used to be one big pop up on the right side, now that has been divided into two. Also a pop up on the left bottom of the page.
It is near impossible to type anything or to read a e-mail. The pop ups sometimes keep updating, up and down, items moving...and when this happens, I can do absolutely nothing, it is so frustrating.
I have the pop up blocker activated, but useless.
Can you PLEASE tell me what to do to get rid of all these pop ups.
media
I am thoroughly disgusted with your constant unflattering stories of our President. It is unfair and bias journalism/fake news. He may not be perfect and it may be a democratic State but in all fairness he is under constant and stifling attacks regardless of what he does. The status quo will not allow him to do his job.
The confederate statues represent a time in history, thats all! We cannot rewrite history.
We have moved on but it is divisive media stories that incite and increase racially motivated and bigoted violence and intolerance!
Tired of it!
Aww poor snowflake, do you need a safe space to go too? This man is evil. Even the rest of the GOP are leaving him behind. All the corporations left. He's a nazi and so are his followers.

The comments on the above articles are just two examples of the vile racist abuse which is allowed to go on by Yahoo. You seriously need to ban some of these people, they are the same as people at the Charlottesville alt-right rally - do you really want to allow them a platform to spread their hatred? Does Yahoo want to have screenshots of conversations on its articles shown on the world news after the next time someone is murdered by Neo-Nazis? This must be dealt with!
articles
I've been a yahoo user for over 20 years but your articles are getting more and more biased. Your headlines spread hate and racism ever chance they get. It's shameful, irresponsible, and just poor journalism. Both right wing and left wing beliefs are flawed and as such, both should be represented in your writings. I hope this changes in the future as you could lead the way in reporting unbiased, fair news.
unethical behavior, spam, annoying interference
Hi Yahoo!
Please stop interfering with my web searching. I use google search for my everyday browsing, and no matter how many times I change my chrome settings, you guys always interfere with my browsing by popping up the results in Yahoo. Please stop immediately!

I hope you guys stop doing what you are doing (forcing people to access result in yahoo! because it makes you come off desperate and clingy.

yahoo email
This Saturday I noticed that I lost all my email in my inbox. I have a Yahoo mail account for over 20 years. That was my first email account. I read that is possible to recover the deleted emails if I may the request within the 7 days of my lost. I made the request but they only recover the mails that I received that day. I went to the webpage of yahoo support which deal with this issue directly . The Agent was Mike Allen. When they read my request the agent put me on hold for almost an hour. I try to look for another agent closing my browser and by deleted my history. But the system lock my with Mike. I called the number in the page [protected] to see if I can talk with somebody who could help me with my problem. They said me that my account had be access by 6 devices. I have 3 laptop, 1 smart phone, and 2 tables. I said that doesn't matter. The agent said that he put already a block in my account and nobody gonna access my account only if I pay $200 after that payment he's gonna return my money. I just move and I don't have any money until next week. So, I repeat that I don't care about identity theft I only care about my deleted emails. He insisted. So, I said that he make the thing worst because my issue was deleted email no identity theft. So, I said I prefer that he undo whatever he did. He said that I don't understand English and I can completely forget about those deleted emails. he hang up. So, I went again to the webpage to see if can chat with another agent from yahoo support who can be more willy to recover my emails but they block my laptop and my phone number. The page said that I was going to receive a email with more information about my request but I am still waiting. All my email from my family, friends, college, works, everything was deleted and nobody in yahoo support care about that.
yahoo mail
Since registering with Yahoo Mail I have been inundated with solicitous emails. I have tried moving them to thejunk box but they won't let me. Also I am receiving emails for insurance of all difference types and a whole host of emails that should have gone straight to the spam box.
Dates: From June 2017 to date.
I have attached, by screenshot, the latest email.
It's called spam. Get a gmail account if you want less spam. Yahoo sells your address to everyone
trying to finish a story that has to be continued on another site
I just called and I GUESS I got disconnected.
As I tried explaining to the gentlemen when I try to continue reading about a story and I have to press the READ MORE...it goes back to a yahoo home page of last week's. For some reason or other, it does not happen on all the READ MORE sites. This started happening to me around the week of 7/31.
It is just kind of frustrating, because then I have to go to MSN and finish reading up on the story.
articles
I get damn tired of the bias, non-factual articles that are written by your writers. I never saw any of this when President #44 was in office. Shame on you yahoo. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem. I bet this sounds familiar "Get over it" Trump is your president! Why don't you be one of the first media outlets that shows a little class and integrity instead of spewing your hateful opinions.
Care for some cheese with your whine, snowflake?
advertising on yahoo finance
There is a recurring daily advertisement on Yahoo Finance homepage labelled "when people do this, Bankers go Crazy". It shows a real picture of Bill Gates, followed by testimonies (all false) of people who have made money with his "Gatesways" money-making scheme. This is then followed by a FAKE video showing an actor resembling Mr. Gates making a presentation at TED.
In fact Gatesways is a binary option seller or intermediary. Binary options are illegal and fraudulent. Moreover, impersonation and false testimonies are fraud.
When one clicks on the " I don't like this ad" one can choose four options why one dislikes the ad.
All responses come with announcement " thank you for your feedback-we'll review and make changes needed". Of course no changes are made. The same ad then reappears elsewhere at Yahoo Finance only to return on the home page again. I believe that Yahoo, or for that matter Verizon should dissociate itself from this fraudulent ad.
