Yes Loans they are a rip off

i phones yes loans for a £6000 loan to get a new used car and pay off some old bills, they promised me that they would get me a loan within 2 days but i would have to pay £68 up front for fees, they then set me up with 2 stupid small loans with pound to pocket and payday loans. one of which im still paying off. neither of these were what i wanted, but they assured me that this would help me get my £6000 loan. it didnt and after many phone calls of complaint and even a letter to head office of complaints, still nothing. yes loans are a rip off they should be on watch dog ! dont go there because you will also be inundated with phone calls for days to follow from other debt companys and debt help people even thoe this isnt the reason i first applyed for the loan. dont give any bank details over the phone as this company pass these details on to other companys BE WARNED YES LOANS ARE A BIG CON !

Yes Loans fee

I applied for a loan with yes loans. Once i gave them my debit card number they took a payment of £69.50 straight from my account without my knowledge. This left me with no money for food for me or my dissabled daughter. I phoned them telling them i no longer wished to use their service as i could not afford the fee they took without my permission. They became very snotty on the phone. They said i woul have to write to them. I tried to obtain address to write and she said you receive it on letter we sent to you. I have not received no letter and they will not give me address when i phone them.

Yes Loans Aggressive phone calls

I have had a few calls from this company, but the last two upset me. The first one was yesterday lunchtime, and I asked them what they were ringing about, as I'd never heard of them, and how had they got my number. I was told that they were financial advisors and that I was entitled to a refund. Thay claim to have got my number from a "fruit survey". I told them I did not require their services, that I was registered with the TPS and not to call me again. They hung up. I have never done a fruit survey, and I object to being lied to! The second call came in the evening, and I asked why were they calling, and they replied it was about a refund, to which I replied that I had already requested they dont call me again, and how did they get my number, the reply to which was "the Ministry of Finance" passed your details to us! I said that I was registered with the TPS so they should not be calling me, to which they replied, "it only applies to sales people, and as were are not sales people, we are allowed to call you!" I was a bit concerned at the guy's tone, so I said I was'nt happy with what he was telling me, and I did'nt want them phoning me, and he raised his voice over mine and said " Why dont you just be quiet and listen? Do you know what we actually do? Do you know about our services?" I said I wanted to be put through to customer services, and he hung up? I did 1471 to obtain their number, and called them back, and a man answered, and I requested to speak to a member of management, and was told none were available, so I requested the most senior member of staff, to be told there was no one, and was I a customer, to which I replied no, but I've had an aggressive phone call and I want to complain, to which he replied, unless I was a customer, no one could help me, and I said I dont believe that, the phonecalls were unsolicited, and he told me to shut up, and if I raised my voice again, he would cut me off! I cannot belive they are allowed to ring people up and talk to them in this way? I have sent a complaint to the TPS, but I really feel they should be investigated, because what if they ring up someone elderly or vunerable?

I thought of that, but is'nt that dangerous? Can I get in trouble for that? I was thinking of reporting them to the police, but what would I say? I think Trading Standards may be the way to go though, I didnt think of that, because they are blatantly lying about how they got my details and ignoring my request to remove me from their list! I have a feeling they are responsible for the many silent calls I'd been getting prior to this! Thanks TwinkleTinkle! By the way, it is free to post on this site, isnt it? I want to let as many people know about Yes Loans, as I googled them and discovered they are actually a loan broker who try and get your bank details, then take a loan arrangement fee even if you dont agree to using their services...sounds like a scam to me!

Well you sound like you have common sense so they are not going to get any details from you but its the vunerable people that they manage to con and so i do suggest a phone call to trading standards to voice your concerns on this company. They will then ask you to keep a diary of the contact with this company and they can be done for harassment.

If they ring you again i suggest blowing something very loudly down the phone eg a whislte, or putting the phone to one side and letting them run up a bill, or if they call you again inform them any more phonecalls will be reported to both the police and trading standards for harrasement.

Dear Sir/madam

Ref: [protected]

I am writing with complaint to the treatment I received from Yes Loans. Take note of the following:

1. I was charged a fee of £69.50 for the service of a finance broker, to which I did not even complete an application.

2. The staff at Yes Loans Ltd are not only unprofessional but extremely rude & unhelpful.

On 18th May 2011 at approx 12:50pm Michael from Yes Loans Ltd called me on my mobile to ask if I would be interested in applying for a loan. I agreed but said I didn’t have much time & was assured it wouldn’t take long. After taking a few details Michael asked for my debit card details to check against the credit reference database. I gave the details to him and was assured no money would be taken from my card. Michael then told me congratulations you have been approved for a loan of £10, 000 & he would put me through to Customer care team to complete the application.
I was put through to Gaby from Customer Care at approx 1:05pm, she proceeded with the loan application & informed me that it would look better on my credit reference if Yes Loans loaned me £200 to start with instead of the full £10, 000 to prove that I am good at paying back loans.
I did not like this idea as I have never heard of this procedure and it was at this point I said I do not wish to continue, I also asked Gaby is this general practice of all loan companies, to which her attitude changed and became very rude and said I can’t speak for any other company. I double checked with Gaby that no money would be coming off my card & that all my details would be deleted, she said no money would be taken of the card but she couldn’t delete the details. I asked to speak to a manger as I didn’t appreciate her aggressive behaviour, she told me that there were none available to speak to me.
I would advise that you listen to the telephone conversation as proof of how rude & incompetent your staff are. Customer Care team is a great misrepresentation of your staff.

On 21st May 2011, I checked my bank account and noticed that Yes Loans had taken out £69.50 on 20th May 2011 even though I was assured by staff no money would be taken.
I rang Yes Loans and spoke to Eric. I explained the way I had been treated by Yes Loans & told him no money should have left my account due to no application even being completed. I asked Eric if I could speak to a manager, to which he replied there was no manager available to speak to me, I questioned why there was never any managers available, Eric then changed his attitude and became rude. He told me if I write a letter of complaint I would get my money back.
Again I would advise that you listen to the telephone conversation as proof of how rude & incompetent your staff are. Customer Care team is a great misrepresentation of your staff
I am disgusted with Yes Loans Ltd & the fraud you have committed but just taking money straight out of my account without consent.
I have already complained to Watchdog & to Trading Standards about your unprofessional behaviour, if you do not respond to my complaint & refund my £69.50 within the 8 weeks, I will take this to Financial Ombudsman Service & will seek Legal advice.

Yours sincerely

Yes Loans unauthorised admin charge

I applied for a loan with yes loans, they appeared to be a loan company. I didnt continue with the loan because of the high interest rate and I had to provide a guarantor. The guy talked at lightening speed and I didnt understand much of what he said. I was then passed to someone else who was going on about putting money in my bank and i paid it back when I got paid. Once I clocked what he was on about I said no at least a dozen times to this loan. He said it would give me credibility when applying for the main loan. The loan was called a pay day loan. Even though I told him I didnt want this loan he still went ahead and processed it and sent me three emails asking me to sign electronically and the payday loan would be put in my bank within 24 hours. Eventually the emails stopped but then the phone calls started nearly every day they would call asking me to complete the payday loan. Today the admin charge was taken out of my bank without me knowing. I tried disputing it with my bank but they couldnt help. I called Yes loans and once again they totally confused me. Everything I disputed they had an answer for. They said I had to write to them to cancel the loan which I had never asked for. I have done this recorded delivery and asked for a refund for the amount taken. they said they would check the recording of my original conversation (do companies actually record conversations for quality and 'training purposes') I very much doubt it. They said it could take 30 days to issue me with a refund. I have given them 14 days to respond.

Yes Loans Unauthorized Fee

I called this company "Yes Loans" to inquire about their student loans. They asked for my bank account information saying that I will be charged an administration fee if I choose their services. I gave them my banking info. The next day I received an application form which I was supposed to sign to authorize them to take the administration fee from my banking account.

I put the application form away as I had plenty of time before I needed the loan. A week later I received another letter from Yes Loans congratulating me in getting the loan. The letter also stated that the fee was deducted from my account! I contacted my bank and they confirmed this.

It's outrageous. I hope nothing like this will happen to everyone who reads this.

I applied for a loan from elephant loans and it cost me £200 which was half the amount of the loan I asked for the loan was meant to be paid into my bank account at 10.15am when I checked my account at 1.30pm that day the loan hadn't gone into the bank,
So I CONTACTED Elephant loans to find out why to be told that there account was blocked from transferring the money my bank and that it would cost me a further £100 to have a solicitor bring the loan to my house. I refused to pay the extra money. I got the loan in the end without paying more to have it delivered to my home address.
I will not be using them again and advise other against using elephant loans.

Yes Loans FRAUD

AS PER THOUSANDS OF OTHER PEOPLE I WAS CONTACTED BY YES LOANS SAYING THAT THEY HAD BEEN PASSED ON MY DETAILS FROM ANOTHER COMPANY AND THAT THEY COULD DEFINITELY OFFER ME A LOAN. ON HEARING THIS PHRASE I DUBIOUSLY PAYED THE (approx.) £50 FINDERS FEE FOR THE LOAN. 3 YEARS LATER AND NO LOAN. I HAVE TRIED ON NUMEROUS OCCASSIONS TO CONTACT THEIR CUSTOMER CARE TEAM TO ARRANGE A REFUND OF THE FEE BUT MIRACULOUSLY AFTER 18 PHONE CALLS AT VARYING TIMES OF THE DAY THEY SEEM UNABLE TO CONNECT MY PHONE CALL WITHIN 1 HOUR OF BEING ON HOLD, HOWEVER, THEY ANSWER THE PHONE EVERY TIME WITHIN 5 MINUTES IF YOU PHONE THEIR 'SALES' TEAM.

Do not goe anywhere near this company based in Wales. Their so called loan advisors, are not qualified to give financial advice and will con you into departing with £69.50 at a time when you can ill afford to lose anymore money. They state they can find you a loan and may even convince you that you need a payday loan to improve your credit rating, do not do it!. They will take your money immediately and when they can't find a loan provider for you it will take them at least 30 days for them to refund your money, less £5, a good way to earn interest and take your money for them. It is a scam that they have covered as being legal. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THEM. Their customer service department is nothing short of just being a front and will cost you a fortune to call them. Be advised even my bank and trading standards were surprised I was conned by this bunch of 21st century [censored]ins.

I agree with everyone about this scandalous, outrageous company. How do they get away with operating this scam! I spent 15 minutes on the phone and within minutes was accepted for a £5000 loan. I was quite astounded that no checks were made etc. AND THEN he said do you have a debit card and I didn't understand. He WANTED an administration of £59.50 for their services. I told him no way was I paying a fee and to send the paperwork through the post, he then transferred me to a PPI insurance guy who was giggling and spluttering/coughing his way through the phone conversation talking about the weather and basically, small talk. I was very abrupt with him and told him I didn't want medical insurance and he said Madam we are here to help you. He then questioned me as to why I didn't want dental help. I told him I was a single parent and had exemption from things like that and he then started getting really personal! Unbelievable. I hung up on him. His and the other idiot's attitude was disgusting and unprofessional. What A RIP OFF. Please I urge people NOT TO USE THESE PEOPLE. I am so glad I read all these reviews after I'd hung up. Luckily I've quite a good head on my shoulders and am wary of this but THERE IS NO MENTION OF AN ADMIN FEE ON THEIR WEB SITE. I worry for the people who aren't so intelligent getting ripped off over scams like this. OH and not only this but just 2 minutes ago I checked my phone charge usage on my phone and the whole call cost me £10. I am absolutely furious! HOW CAN WE STOP THIS HAPPENING? I'd appreciate any feeed back from people who want to email me. I mean aren't we in enough crap anyway otherwise we wouldn't be applying for a loan but then to be charged £10 for a phone call and be told to pay an admin fee. Thank GOD I read all these reviews.

In December 2009 Yes Loans said I had been accepted for a loan. They said I had to pay £69 admin fee. They actually debited £89 from the account I gave them. I soon realized they had lied to me. I put in a written request for my application to be canceled and the admin fee refunded within the time allowed for refunds according to their own policies. It has been a month and there has been no response and no refund. Their staff are particularly hostile and unprofessional in their manner. What do I do?

I phoned yesloans today and was told that if I agreed to a payday loan of £80 it would help my credit rating, this was something I did not want it has cost me £20 in charges. I paid £69.50 and they said they had a loan company to approve my loan of £1000 with everyday loans in Luton, I told them Everyday loans needed me to resident in Uk for 3 years, I am a UK citizent born and bred but I was out of the country for a year. They insisted Everyday loans would help. They could not. I ask for my £69.50 back as it had not left my account and they said to write in and it will take 30 days. Do not use this company they are nothing but thieves and scammers, I will through my work as a police officer make every knows not to use this company. If I do not get money back I will take them to the small claims court.

Join the club, the exact same thing has happened to me. I was only enquiring about the APR and was told that I had to pay a fee to get any further information, if I decided not to go ahead, I would get my money back. That was the end of last month. I've sent two letters, 14 e-mails and ran up £120 on my mobile trying to get the fee back. I now have ### debt solution companies and loan sharks phoning my on a daily basis. I have never signed an agreement to say that they can pass on my details, even my bank details are being passed on to different companies.
We will never see that money again, I've threatened them with legal action which I will follow through with, Ive threatened them with the media, ive been to trading standards and I've heard nothing from Yes Loans.
They are the biggest ### to walk the planet, the employees are the bottom of the food chain. They have as much brains as they have a heart. The amount of times they have hung up the phone because they can't handle speaking to customers, if it isn't scripted they don't know how to cope. I'm amazed that they actually know how to read in the first place. You do get the ones that think they're smart because they're hiding behind a phone, pathetic. Theres a reason Yes Loans operates through a call centre, if there were branches thier employees might think twice about being so rude. They are all dead inside.

Yes Loans taking a fee without consent

I enquired with the company for a small loan £250.00, after they took all my details including bank details, they said they required a payment of £69.50, I said I didn't have that amount in my bank account, they sent me my application form out on Thursday which I haven't returned as I had already been accepted for a loan elsewhere, I had written to them on Wednesday to inform them I wasn't interested any more. Low and behold Today Saturday 19 th December they had the cheek to take the money out of my account which I couldn't afford, I'm now overdrawn and face bank charges next month of £60.00, why don't companies like this listen to the customers who at the end of the day pay their WAGES

Yes Loans Extremely high interest

Beginning of this year my partner applied for a loan with yes loans. They took a fee of £49.95 and told him that he would get a loan up to £5, 000. They did not explain that they don't actually give you the loan instead they find you a lender that charges extremley high interest. To cut a long story short we did not get a loan or our fee back. When we tried to get intouch with yes loans they kept putting us in long waiting ques on the phone. When we asked for a manager the manager was not there.

I advise people to keep away from this misleading company.

I am now going to be fighting for my fee back and the claim value includes all the costs of the phoncalls and postage it has cost us as much as the fee.

Hi There

Recently I tried to apply for a loan with them as they assured me that even with a poor credit rating they could still give me a loan for £500, now initially they told me of a fee of £69.50 to cover administration fees which when they tried to take it at the time I did not have in the bank as i'd not yet been paid at my new job, so I told them I would call back when I had the money, i've recently checked my bank account which is 2 weeks later and found that they'd taken the fee without my consent, i called them up and asked them why they'd taken it without even calling me for authorization first and they could not give me an answer (how very professional), they told me that if i send in a letter with my reference number (which they gave me over the phone) explaining the situation then they would immediately send me a cheque back, so i would have rather they credit my account which would have been quicker but I settled for it, I sent a letter via first class post at the beginning of the week and I phoned them today asking if they'd sent the cheque in the post to me, they said that nobody had even cancelled the application so nothing had been done, they then told me that i'd have to WAIT 30 DAYS BEFORE RECEIVING A REFUND! this company lacks professionalism beyond the extreme, I haven't the foggiest idea how on EARTH this company gets away with being such fraudsters, I will be contacting my bank to see about claiming a charge back of the fee because this is just not good enough, i will not wait 30 days to get my money back when they took it out of my account without my permission so I class this as fraud.

I agree with the warning, please anybody considering obtaining a loan from this company, DO NOT even contact them, they are fraudsters after your money, it's not worth it you'll only face trouble!

I cannot believe I have just fallen for this scam! I needed a loan fast so spoke to someone from yes loans yesterday as they seemed quite a reputable company, (they are about 4th on the list when you google loans) I was on the phone for an hour, spoke to 3 different people and then in the end I was offered debt consoldation rather than a loan! I don't even have any debt (1 credit card with a really low amount!) I have checked my bank as I gave my bank details (how stupid) as I was told they were needed for a credit check and they have taken £69.50 today from my account! I have spoken to my bank who has advised there is nothing they can do, they will raise an investigation on my behalf but wont refund me as I willingly handed over my bank details. Now I feel like such an idiot! I cannot believe I fell for this, looking at other websites this company has been doing this for over 2 years and majority of people have still not had their money refunded. I have been on hold now for 2 hours and 10 minutes to the 'customer service department' and still have not got through, i keep calling the main sales number and get through within seconds and now as soon as I mention I have been on hold to the customer services tem for so long they put the phone down! I am seriously considering cancelling my bank card so they cannot take any more money from my bank without permission. The only ting I am going to learn out of this is to make sure I check these kind of websites before I ever hand over money or bank details! I can kiss my £70 goodbye don't think I will ever see that again!

On 21st September 2009 Yes loans debited my bank account for a £69.50 fee for a loan application. I did not agree for Yes Loans to debit my account on this date. I called Yes loans regarding the debit from my account requested a refund and informed them that I did not want to proceed with any loan application. The agent on he phone informed me that Yes Loans required a letter to be sent to the office address to comply with the terms and conditions for refunds. I was advised by Yes Loans that customers are required to request a refund by letter and a cheque will be returned in 30 days. I sent a letter dated 29th September and asked for a full refund. Yes loans did not reply, I rang the Yes Loans office and was palmed off with excuses an operator who informed the cheque will be sent on 30th October. On the 7th of November I rang Yes Loans again as the cheque had not arrived and was given the excuse that the postal strike delayed the cheque. I sent a further letter to Yes Loans requesting my money back. Again no reply. I have spend over £10.00 in telephone calls and postage to this company. I contacted the Financial Ombudsman and made a formal complaint about Yes loans. I am still waiting for a refund. This company should be shut down, as the very poor service does not comply with the FSA or the Banking Code. PLEASE DO NOT HAVE ANY CONTACT WITH YES LOANS AT ALL AND WARN EVERYONE YOU KNOW.

Yes Loans unfair trading/ fraud

I approached Yes Loans looking for a loan of £1500, ad was told that yes i was accepted for a loan and that i would need to pay them a fee of 69.50. I signed the forms, I paid the fee and was told my loan would take 4 days to come through. I waited the four days and then rang them only to be told they couldn't help me. I asked for my fee to be refunded, they said yes thats fine butwould you just talk to these guys first, and then put me through to a debt management agency called Moneyworries (who i later find out are in the same building and are owned by the same people). I agree to use Moneyworries and think nothing of it, thinking i would still get my refund of the 69.50.
That was 2 months ago, today i have spoken to Yes loans who tell me i'm not entitled to my £69.50 as i took one of their services i.e Moneyworries and that my moneyworries fee would've been discounted to the value of the yes loans fee. Moneyworries insist it has not been discounted and they have received no money from Yes loans.
Yes Loans tell me i'm not entitled to the money and it is too late to get the discount with moneyworries. Basically Yes Loans have taken my 69.50 as payment for transferring my phone call to someone else probably in the same room, to a company who i could have contacted myself, for the fee of NOTHING. To me this is disgusting behaviour and i believe that take on customers who have no chance of a loan so they can pocket the 'brokerage fee'.
Yes loans are preying on the financially weak.

This is possibly the most appalling service I have ever experienced. When demanding a refund for my set up fee of £69.50, as I cancelled a loan application, I was informed to send a fax and assured that my refund would be in my bank account within 24 hours. After 60 hours the refund was not there and so I called the customer service team (a name that should be 'customer aggravating team'. Having waited yet another 30 minutes to get through I was told that my refund could take up to 30 days. I then asked for an email address to contact them which, reluctantly I was given. It was false! I then asked for a senior member of staff and was told there were none available. I was only offered a customer complaints procedure which meant I had to write in. Do not be fooled by these people. They take money and keep it in their accounts for as long as possible. Quick to take your fee but useless and complete liars when you ask for it back. Write to the Directors which can be found on Companies House. If you have no luck after 8 weeks of complaining go to the Ombudsman.

Following an enquiry about a no credit check loan I was interviewed on the phone where I was told all I need to qualify was to be in full time employment with a current bank account proof of which I had to provide, at no point was I told they were in fact a brokers and they required a broker fee .I was sent agreement forms to sign along with a terms of business sheet .To my horror when a direct debit was returned for my counsil tax on checking my bank details I found £69-50 had been taken from my account.
I contacted Yesloans and after time I got to talk to a lady who informed me I would have to put a request in writing I told her this was done when I returned my agreement forms unsigned in a pre-paid envelope she insisted no reply had been received and I would have to reapply this I have done twice.I asked for this to be done using the same bank details they used to take it out she informed me details are not retained contravening what it says in the terms of buisness
"To facilitate us processing payments AND repayments you authorise us to retain your charge credit and debit details"
I have still not had any joy and as I have had dealings with two other companies who share the same address i.e.MONEYWORRIES and Beneficial Claims I feel I must persue my complaint through the Ombudsman

I paid admin money to Yes Loans because they have said my loan was approved. The following day they send me the forms in the post and for some reasons the loan was to be approved by a third party. I changed my mind before the processing of the application form and they agreed to refund me my £59.50 which the havent refund fund me regardless phoning them four times. Their phone number is too expensive to keep ringing and they put you on hold for ages. I dont know what to do and i think I am gonna go through FSA to get my refund.

A fee of £69.50 was taken from my debit card by an agent of Yes Loans. She had contacted me after my details were passed on to them she said. I was asked to provide my card details as "verification" but before I knew that sum of money was taken from my card. I then received a form in the post which I was asked to sign and send back to finalise my loan. I telephoned Yes Loans to inform them that I did not authorise them to take that payment of £69.50 and I'd like my money back. I was advised to ask for my money back in writting and expect to wait for 30 days for a cheque, minus £5.00 for their admin costs. I sent the letter 27th of September 2010 and it is now November and the cheque is still nowhere to be found. I have tried calling their "Customer Care" number on several occasions and at one point I was put on hold until I gave up and hung up! On one occasion I did get to speak to someone he was so dismissive of me you would have thought it was his money not mine I was asking for back

I applied for a loan just over a month ago, at the end of the phone call he told me they are taking 69.50 off me for admin. if i changed my mind within 14 days i would receive a full refund. two days later i changed my mind i rang up and was told i had to write a letter and would receive the money back in my account within thirty days. This is a load of utter pants. It is now thirty two days since they received letter. I have just spoken to a man and he said they are now sending me a cheque which i wont receive until AFTER the bank holiday weekend! I will never use this company again!

While sitting here today, i applied online for a yes loan, i felt a bit bullied into giving my bank details..so thats when alarm bells started ringing. While i was on hold i googled yes loans and was horrified at the feedback on them! these people have my details! When the woman came back onto the phone i informrd her i had changed my mind, she got a bit shirty and asked why, I replied that i had just been reading about the company and it has not got a very good reputation. She got really quite angry and basically told me that all the comments you guys have made are lies, That you all must have lied in your application and therfore were refused! I then repeated to her that i did not wish to proceed with loan and not to take admin fee from me, she then abruptly told me to have a nice day and hung up the phone before i could get any assurance that i would not be £69.50 lighter. Ithen rang back only to speak to another "Customer Adviser" i use the term loosely, and repeated that i no longer wished to proceed and he hung up too! am now going into town to the bank and if they have taken that out i will go ballistic!
Thanks Guys for all your info that has been made avaliable about this company, maybe i have read it just in time! i'll let ya all Know. :O

I am at the end of my teather with this company. Like many others i paid the admin fee of £59.50 as they said i was elligible for a loan, i signed and sent off the paperwork and a week later i recived a txt message saying my application has been successful. They asked me to call them to arrange final details so i did, after being on hold for 30 mins they said that a lender would call me within 24 to 48 hrs to confirm. 5 days later no call, i called them again. (on hold for 20 mins) they said that there was no lender who was giving me a loan so i said ok then i would like the refund as i paid for a service that i did not recieve. In a rude manner the man told me that i would have to wait for three months before i get it back. I then asked for his name and he told me it was Ben. I then asked him what was his surname and abruptly told me he was not giving it to me, i asked to speak to a manager and he said there was no one there like that. He was a rude man, i just want my money back, is there anyone that can help. I was totally mislead by this company. Please dont anyone use this company as it is a waste of money and time!

It IS possible to get a refund of the admin fee from Yes Loans! Don't give up!
Unfortunately you will have to fight for it though. Be confident and assertive when speaking to them but try not to get angry with your advisor. Remember they have the right to terminate any call.
A piece of further advice I would like to give is not to ring them up too often. The hold times are ridiculous and all they are going to do is make up excuses and deny all knowledge in the hope that you give, so they can keep your money.
I've done all the angry phone calls and they don't help.
Below are the steps to take:-

1) Ring and ask for a refund. They will politely give you the email address. email them accordingly. They will not respond in any shape or form so don't expect even an automated reply.
2) A week later, ring the Financial Ombudsman Service on [protected] and file a complaint. Tell them that despite following Yes Loans procedure you are still awaiting a refund. FOS will send letters to Yes Loans and you. Yes Loans have 8 weeks to respond but again, don't expect anything from them.
3) A few days later ring Yes Loans and ask to speak to the refunds department. Ask what their response to the FOS letter is. They will pretend they haven't received it. Mention that you are writing down everything that they are saying and you will use it in further complaints if necessary. Now ask to speak to the complaints manager and again, tell him about your FOS complaint and that you are writing down his responses. Ask him why you haven't received a refund. Be assertive and he will action your refund.
4) Add one week onto whatever date he says you will receive your refund - the date he tells you will be a lie too.

Yes Loans are obviously operating legally and no doubt anyone defending them will talk about small print and sections of law that validate their practices, from the initial "hooking you in" acceptance right through to the withholding of your admin fee. That doesn't mean that they should continue as they do. It is clear that they cause alot of upset and stress amongst vulnerable people.
Take the following example:
Woolworths were selling a girls bed range named "Lolita." They were doing nothing illegal and yet, the line was withdrawn after causing upset.

To finish off, don't accept your eventual refund as the conclusion to your FOS complaint. Like me, please take it as far as you can. Perhaps if enough people using FOS demand explanations as to why they were given the impression that their loan application was successful and why the refund isn't immediate, things may change for the better and this dreadful company may get its comeuppance.

Hello ALL,
I am still in the same predicament as you all and wish to help you if at all I can.
I just don’t want anyone else to get scammed and above all I just want this company to stop behaving as they are.
Yes I requested the loan and yes I accepted their conditions plus paid the fee, but surely if you are told you would get a fee back you should get it back – especially if they cannot find you a loan!

Anyways thats my rant over with ... I would highly recommend going to the following link and emailing Yorkshire-lad400 who has very good advice on what to do.
