ZipRecruiter Job Scam

I was contacted on February 28, 2022 via text saying my resume was viewed and could I do an interview via Google Chat. I agreed and was sent a verification code. I was then contacted via Google Chat for the interview. The next day I was offered the job of remote Data Entry Clerk with Nervastral Inc. They emailed me paperwork, a job offer letter and informed me I would receive a sign on bonus. I was then asked to order devices on my Verizon Wireless account that the company would pay for to have software put on them for me to use to work. The company kept promising to pay my Verizon bill, and send me money to set up an office and the bonus. It has now been 2 months and I have no money, no phone service due to non-payment, and now they have stopped communication with me. Do I have any legal rights to get any of this fixed?

Please advise what to do next?

Julie Pantano

[protected]@gmail.com

Desired outcome: I would like the company to pay what they owe and fix the phone. Then I want them to remove any job postings they have as they ae not real

ZipRecruiter My profile / let employers find you

Profile page is not secure. Phone and email visible for anyone with hacking skills to view.

Ziprecruiter should know as much as any it person out there that security is the #1 issue on internet sites & the cloud. Phone numbers and personal info should never be placed on a site to be accessed by any hacker. Too risky to leave personal info visible!

Desired outcome: #1: REMOVE the "Let employers find you" option from Profile page. #2: Provide option on Profile page for employers to contact candidates directly from inside of Zip recruiter.

ZipRecruiter Ziprecruiter Scams Small Businesses Without Remorse

This company is a total scammer. I posted a job, but once I found out it was $16/day after the trial, I canceled it (it says you have 4 days to cancel), but I canceled right after I put the ad up, within an hour. They DON'T send you emails saying that you've received a free trial that ends in so many days...They DON'T send you emails saying you've got a continuing subscription, and they DON'T send you any emails confirming that you've canceled. They rely on you being so busy that you forget about it so you can continue to get charged. Meanwhile, you get a few random resumes from people at random times who don't even match your job description. 2 months and over $400 later when I received my credit card bill, I discussed this with customer service, which was useless. The person on the other end was rude, argumentative and accusatory. This is how they train their people? The best employees I ever hired was from Craigslist. $20, and your job is posted for a month, no recurring charges, and it's free for the employees too. Keep it simple, and DON'T USE SCAMMER COMPANIES LIKE ZIPRECRUITER!

ZipRecruiter Required email address in online job applications

Whenever I try to apply for any job, your site will not accept my email address. The name Robert Darryl Williams keeps coming up. Robert is already working at Tumbleweed Restaurant in Chillicothe Ohio, but he still has unfinished applications in the sites. Over the last two months, I've tried everything; I've changed my email six times and even changed my phone number but nothing works. My name is William Eugene Graham my first email address was [protected]@gmail.com, and my password was Eugene522; as you can see, my name is spelled out in the email address and password. Mr. Williams' unfinished applications are interfering with, that is blocking out, all of my efforts to apply for work on any of the online recruiting sites; Indeed.com was the first, but all of the sites must share information, because now I cannot apply on any site.
Is there any way that you could remove Mr. Williams' unfinished applications and help me to apply for work? I appreciate your time and attention in this matter, and thank you.
Cordially:
William E. Graham

Desired outcome: to be allowed to use MY email

ZipRecruiter False termination of account

Ziprecruiter.com
May 25, 2021

I signed up for Ziprecruiter and was just paying the $24/day, had no issues. . Yesterday I decided to upgrade my account and paid $1500 up front, less than 12 hours later my account was terminated. So, after verifying my account and telling me I could post, Ziprecruiter waited until I paid $1500 then turned around and claimed I was affiliated with other companies. I called and emailed for furhter information but was provided none. I am not affiliated with any other companies so I dont understand how they even came to this conclusion other then baseless assumptions

I want a refund, as I will never post jobs on this site again

ZipRecruiter Identity theft

A few years back I did register with ZipRecruiter while living in Houston, Tx. Lately, I am getting emails for jobs from South Carolina. I never lived in South Carolina, never visited that state and have no desire to look for a job in South Carolina. The jobs you are sending me are Cashering, CHAPLAN (I am ATHEIST), and other B.S. job titles.

I have a degree in Petroleum Engineering, so why should I look for a career as a Cashier or a Chaplan?

You have my account mixed up with another individual with the same name as mine who lives in South Carolina. My email address is: beverly[dot][protected]@gmail.com and the other individual's email address is: [protected]@gmail.com.

Complaints to you are being ignored and by your condoning this illegal activity gives me grounds to start litigation.

Clean up your mess and delete both accounts.

ZipRecruiter Job search agency

This company charged my company $559 for nothing! Never a discussion about the charge. Charged my account on 6/29 without an authorization. Our job candidate was very specific. Never did they send us any candidates that matched any of our requirements. No communication during my TRIAL period.
Called and spoke with Virginia on 6/30/2020 and she provided no resolution to the problem. Horrible customer service!

ZipRecruiter Fraudulent company do not trust

The customer service representative At the phone number +[protected] named Virginia was not helpful, she refused to let me speak to a supervisor. They charged my card back to back in the middle of the night for 556.50 twice and then 202.38 after that. A total of 1, 315 dollars. Sketchy. I've never authorized any of these transactions, I dont have a business. So when I asked how they got my card info and why it was charged I was told that they weren't able to discuss that information with me. Not understanding why when it's my card in my name and my money. I wouldn't give them even 1 star, the customer service is horrible and they thinks it's ok to steal people's money. I was thinking that someone stole my information but now I'm thinking it's someone at ziprecruiter that did this. I had to go get a police report and call a lawyer.

ZipRecruiter Very deceiving and deceptive billing

I too have had a very bad experience with zip recruiter. Their billings practice is very deceiving and deceptive. They have this box that you have to accept "daily subscription" that you think is for the ad you are running. Then the candidates that they send you don't meet the criteria that you asked for. You get frustrated and pull the plug on the ad. But then you realize after you keep getting billed over $500 that they deceived you and you are still getting billed even though you no longer have an ad listed. Heed my warning do not sign with zip recruiter

Never ever deal with this company. The billing is purposefully deceptive and they make it very difficult to deactivate auto renew once they receive your credit card information. I imagine they make a lot of money charging businesses excessively and through their auto renewal system. Many businesses might easily miss the excessive charges.
They become rude and hostile when you request the auto renew to be turned off. Its a shame their owners allow this to happen.

ZipRecruiter Job posting

I was encouraged to post a job with Ziprecruiter and signed up for a trial period. Within the 3-day trial I decided that the resumes I was getting had nothing to do with the employee I needed. I pulled down my add. The next day I got a call from a Salesman, Andy< who tired to keep me by helping me boost my exposure with more money. I said I just wanted to end the service. He understood and I thought I was done. What I failed to do was "cancel" my account. Just pulling the add is not enough. You must cancel the account as well. At the end of the month I got a bill for over $500 for nothing. I called Ziprecruiter to get it corrected and, though they saw the date I pulled my add, because the account wasn't cancelled, I got half back. DO NOT USE THEM! They are scammers!

ZipRecruiter Unauthorized credit card charges

I signed up for one month and one month only. I made that very clear. Ziprecruiter took it upon them selves to sign me up for a subscription that I did not authorize and charged my card $422 when my one month was up even though I only paid $317 the first time. Once I complained they said they would refund me only $253.77 even though it was their mistake not mine.

I got an email from an erik friis hr from the company forsberg isaksson. I have copied the email below says he found me thru ziprecruiter:

Erik friis hr. [protected]@forsberg-isaksson.com via gmail. Mcsv.net
Nov 13, 2018, 4:59 am

To me

Hello! My name is erik friis.

You have responded to our vacancy announcement at ziprecruiter. I have seen your resume. I'm hr at forsberg isaksson and we are looking for an executive assistant for our head of branch.

Please, do not ignore this message! If you are not interested in this position, please, write to me ‘not interested'. I should know this in order not to send you messages any more.

You should confirm your interest, so that I could add your candidacy to the list of interviews. Below are the basic requirements and conditions for this position:

Here, at forsberg isaksson, we are engaged in repair and supply parts for yachts and boats from europe. Our head office is located in netherlands, in the city of rotterdam. For many years, our company has been working in an offline mode. Today, we have a large customer base both in europe and the usa. The amount of requests has considerably increased over the previous year and we've decided to establish a branch in your region, in order not to lose time on international shipment.

We are planning to put the branch into operation in the nearest time. Head of the branch is arriving with the team in a month. But there are some urgent matters that should be completed before their arrival. This is precisely why we have already opened the position of executive assistant.

There is very little time left, so this vacancy is opened for immediate employment only! Therefore, if you are still employed and need a two week notice, we cannot proceed this interview, sorry to say. Please, confirm that you are ready for immediate employment.

Search for the temporary warehouse, office furniture, and equipment are the examples of your first tasks. During the first month, you will work remotely; but you'll surely continue to work as executive assistant after the team and head of the branch's arrival. It is a long-term job with good prospects in a fast-growing international company in yacht business.

We invite you to have a look on our website: www.forsberg-isaksson.com

This is the first time our company appears on the internet. We have ultimately bought a domain for our online shop and now it's under development. Our online shop will be launched in a month already!

All in all, we are pleased to offer you the opportunity of participating in the interview for the position of executive assistant for head of the branch with a salary of $77, 000 per year and the comprehensive benefits package.

During the first month of work, your basic workplace tools will be a phone and a computer. You will be able to start working right from your home office. Most of your duties will be connected with data search.

Our company, of course, will cover all your working expenses associated with the internet, mobile telephony, petrol, and others.

You'll have standard working hours from 9 a.M. To 5 p.M. Saturday and sunday will be your days off.

You'll receive a salary twice a month:

$3, 208 - salary (payment every two weeks)
$1, 562 - (in lieu of benefits)
$1, 375 - (retirement savings plan)
Total: $9, 353 per month

Please, confirm you have interest in this position, and i'll send you the details of interview in my next e-mail.

Everything sounded sooooo good, got an interview the next day from the head of the branch who was named henrik klausen, says he was calling from france because he was traveling for work. Interview went well and I got the job the next day. Mr. Klausen had asked during the interview if i'm willing to quit my job that I was currently in, of course I didn't. So got hired and mr. Klausen and I started to communicate thru email about jobs that I had to do for him. It started off with me finding furniture and making a report with pictures and details so that they can decide which ones to buy for their future office here in the bay area that was suppose to open sometime soon. Couple days went by and everything sounded normal, next task I had to do was a game room. But in his emails there were money talks about him running some money remittance tests because he will be sending over money to buy the furniture. Then he starts with the testing of bitcoin atms:

Henrik klausen
Tue, nov 27, 4:53 am

To me

Good morning, kathleen.

How are you today? Thank you for update!

You made great game room report. I have checked it and I think that we will have best game room ever. Wonderful! Thank you very much! As for fun activities, kathleen. You know, we are open to any great ideas! So please show us what option we have and we will choose the best. Thank you.

But first of all today you have priority task. It will be first part of test task.

Test task will be connected with equipment for storing parts:

1. When this package with equipment will come in usa, it will be necessary to pay custom house fee.
2. It is possible to make this process automatic with electronic wallet - bitcoin.
3. Bitcoins will be automatic pay for custom house fee.

In general, financiers will make not large test remittance on your bank account, you will need receive test remittance, get cash and put money on bitcoin wallet - all is easy:

- when a plane with equipment will come to usa, customs fee will be written off automatically from bitcoin wallet, which will be added customs payment system.

- financial department will see that you may work with different types of finances plus one of our affairs will be done already.

About bitcoin.

There are bitcoin atms, which help to change cash on bitcoins.

I found atm with best fee rate which is nearest to you:

Please don't search bitcoin atms yourself. The main of factor of such search is fee rate. Some of atms have terribly high fee rate and there is a chance that you can choose exactly such bad atm. So please use only those atm which location I send to you. Thank you.

Atm location:

You need go to this atm today and try to use it, to get experience how it works.

Please make video of this process (with help of your phone or camera). I know the process, but I need to see you exactly know all steps how it works. And send this video to me. Please go through all steps there till the step: "scan qr code".

All this will be first part of your test task.

So, please use your camera or smartphone in horizontal mode, when you will be filming:

Please confirm you understood this task.

I will let you know about exact date and time when remittance come to your account. And today you need only try to use bitcoin atm to understand exact steps how it works.

P.S. To do list for today:
1. Please confirm that understood this task
2. Go to atm and try to use it
3. Make video how it works
4. It will be large file, so use www.sendspace.com to upload it and send link to me then.

I tried it once just to show him that I did the task. I put my own money of $20 in the machine. He used a qr code which I scanned so that I guess goes into his atm. He shut up after this transaction.

Now the big transaction of more money remittance testing:

He used zelle to transfer money to me, again he said that his finance team was sending me money to test which money remittances option will best to use and which one was faster with less processing fees.

He made two transaction thru zelle of $1000 each, which was a total of $2000, but when they came into my account, it had two different names that I did not recognize. I questioned him about it here is his answer.

Henrik klausen
Fri, nov 30, 10:56 am

To me

Just got your update and confirmation, kathleen.

Oh, it is completely safe. As I explained financiers made remittance by three different ways to find out the best option. Only that.

Ok, I will keep you posted. Please stay in touch.

I withdrew the cash and deposited it again in a bitcoin atm, after I have done that, something didn't feel right to me. And I knew that I was done with this guy. Although he promised that my first paycheck was suppose to be deposited in my account within 2 days. I have been working for him for 2 weeks at the time. Come that day and of course he is postponing my paycheck till friday. I told him that he is an irresponsible employer and that I will not continue to work for him until I get paid. No email back ever! Then my bank calls me to let me know that there was been fraud with the money that sent to me. And the bank then takes $938 from me because I was the middle man, I have told bank of america that I was scammed as well and they said that there was nothing that they can do. I have closed my account thru bank of america.

Just a warning to all that use zip recruiter, do not be scammed by dumb jobs saying that they saw your [censored] on zip recruiter, I am very surprised on how these people got thru zip recruiter and is able to post scam jobs. I am very angry and pissed! I lost my money to these idiots!

Please everyone be careful. I've read several complaints on here and it looks like action is never taken. What's the point of trusting anything anymore? Where is the justice system? I have also filed a police report and I hope they catch these [censored].

ZipRecruiter Job posting I applied for was a scam

On or about last week of April 2018, I applied for a job that I found on ZIP Recruiter, it turned out, the job posting was a SCAM, which resulted us being victims of FRAUDULENT. I emailed Zip Recruiter explaining what just happened, however, they were no help at all. It costed us, $3300 due to a SCAM JOB POST that Zip Recruiter had. There were no compensation offered to us. I just received a reply, "We are sorry, you went through that, we have taken down the job posting.."

It is impossible to contact zip recruiter over the phone. I want to dispute what just costed me applying for a job posting found on zip recruiter.

If you need proofs of the lost, please advise right away.

I hope this matter can be resolved.

ZipRecruiter Culture of atlanta

I had the unfortunate experience of having an interview set with culture of Atlanta and I was dress professional I got to the building which looked old and shabby I entered into the building the furniture was all old and shabby and people are dressed as if they had been to the nightclub or party they were marketing online that they had careers for management position come to find out when they sit you in the single room one on one with a person they let you know that you will literally be taking this product which was makeup out on the street face to face two people to sell and it was 90% walking because you needed to literally walk up to a stranger and offer this makeup product, my point is all the advertisement for that position is bogus it's a scam is useless and I was angry because I spent time out of my day to dress and go to an interview that was represented by ZipRecruiter and several others on your website just like it are pop up offices and scams.

ZipRecruiter Could be better

Many things to work on, you know.
The website is often down, that causes a lot of troubles to use it. I have been trying to log in for 2 weeks and haven't succeeded yet. The customer support is absolutely useless and rarely answer, so I have no idea how to fix this issue without your participation.
And as a small detail, it's your misguiding information all over the media. I have read you provided a free trial for a month, but in fact, it's only four days which is very very sneaky of you, guys...

ZipRecruiter Help wanted ad

They just steal hard earned money away from business owners. They have deceptive practices, obscure their policies. When called they are snooty, condescending and rude. They are happy to take you money but do not deliver qualified candidates and none of the candidates respond to emails. I think this is nothing more then a scam. I got better results on Monster and other sites. with out losing $2K for a worthless ad service.
