On Monday, March 4th, around 11:30 a.m., we were heading back form Las Vegas to San Diego. We stopped at the 99 cents store to stock up on water and snacks for the trip ahead. When I walked into the store, I asked a cashier where the restrooms were. I was told that the restrooms were for employees only. I could not believe that a store will not permit customers to use the restroom. What do you guys expect people to do when they have to go? Relieve themselves right behind your building? This is inhuman behavior. We immediately left and did NOT buy a thing. I will reconsider buying anything ever again from a 99 cents store. I don't need to be treated like an animal!

On 1/6/2019 my wife and I went into the store and as we were shopping two employees thats were putting merchandise on the shelves were speaking very unprofessional about customers one of them had braces was tall and the other was wearing a name tag that read Liz. They were talking amongst themselves when they saw a customer come in and began talking in fowl language about that woman. They said things like, " Oh, great that [censored]en [censored] is here" and "[censored]en ugly [censored] [censored]" I was shocked as how they dare talk about anyone in such a vulgar manner and around other customers. This is unacceptable and needs to be dealt with.

I needed a refund for a product that was charged. The employee advised she will charge me and another employee will go get product as I did not find when shopping. The employee came back and verified they were sold out of water. An employee by the name of Emilia was asked to help me and she made it seem like she never wanted to as she was busy had smart remarks to the other employee that was asking for her help. Then when she helped, No greeting, just took my receipt and looked at me and said swipe. I then swiped my card for refund and it said debit or credit, I asked what should I press she said I DON'T KNOW, whatever you want. I said it looks like a charge, will it be a charge, she said swipe your card in a rude voice. I come to this 99 cents store all the time and have never been treated like this, this is something that need to be rectified with this employee. I would like a response back with what will be dealt with this employee. If not, I will be submitting a complaint with BBB, because 1. Employee should have never charge me in the 1st place, she had a long line and didn't want people to get mad at her because I was holding it up, 2. The employee that went back to get water never came back and told me, I stood waiting for over 15 minutes, 3. Rude a d horrible customer service 4. Attitude that was given to a customer

I saw gold Peak HomeBrewSweet Tea Drinks I shop at the 99 cent store 3, 4 times a week. However this was my first time at this Corona 99 cent store. I had my 19 year old daughter with me that goes to Calpoly Pomona and stays at dorms in Pomona. I got 12 iced teas "Gold Peak HomeBrewSweet Tea" as soon as I got to the register the cashier tells me you can only take 2. I said I'm sorry I didn't see a sign stating that. She told me yes there is. I asked I know for a fact there wasn't a sign. She calls the assistant manager and she tells me with attitude Ma'am they always put a sign. I told them both I'm not going to argue with you both, I know when I put them on my cart there wasn't any sign. I only bought 2. My daughter that stays in Pomona went back in to get 2 ice teas for her. They put the other 10 ice teas in the back and they told her she couldn't buy any. As much as I always purchase from 99 cent stores I have NEVER been TREATED this way! I will never return.

Came to the 99 cent store today September 8, 2018, around 10:30 ish I was walking into the store when the cashier asked to leave my backpack at the register. Minded you I have my wallet, with driver's license, cash debit cards in my backpack. I've never been asked to leave my backpack at the register if I've come in numerous of times when directed to the manager in charge I asked the manager and try to show me where their policy was posted. Manager pointed to the return policy I asked about the policy of not being able to walk in with a backpack supposed having to leave it at the register she said they do that because quote people from the streets come in and steal '' I've replied I'm not a person from the street.I've come here with my backpack. My point is if you're going to steal you're going to steal with the backpack, purse, reusable grocery bag, in their clothes don't stereotype because I have a backpack and I'm going to be stealing and from the street also if you have a policy we please have it visible for customers.
This is the only 99 cent store in Madera Ca.
Also, the Manager makes sure to note I always come in, so should she also remember I always have my backpack.

On a nice warm evening, my sister and I went to the 99¢only STORES Address: 8451 Crenshaw Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90305. We brought few Grocery and few other items. Every thing were fine until the casher who name is Dense ( according to her nametag) had run a scam on me, charging me 25 cent per bag. I know the bag is 10 cent per bag. Because the total on my receipt did not look right, I stay inside the store to look at the receipt. From that moment, I know pull she pull a scam, so I confronted her and ask her why she did not tell me the bag was that much, she said "Do I want to keep the bag or do you want to return it ?" I told her no I want to return it, " I would never pay that much for a bag . At this point she talk to another cashier about refunding my money back. She said "We can not give you a refund" even though, she fail to mention that the bag was 25cent which is 15 cent more than the 10cent bag. Cashier later said after I pay for everything with my money " We do not have anymore 10cent bags" the other lady given me another bag but still.. 5cent was taken from. My family, friends and I used to be a customer at that location I would never shop there anymore. I am college student and trying to become teacher and tutor. I do not have time to be scam by people who do no t take their jobs seriously

The Front End Manager Shay is very rude and unprofessional this is about the third run in I have had with her and she needs the proper training on customer service skills or she needs to be replaced. The store is located 1110 E Parker Rd, Plano Texas 75074 . Someone from Corporate needs to have a talk with her and also the store manager. I am an employee who works at 99 cent store and I see way too much favoritism in employees and the ones that actually work and show up get the write ups. Some definite changes need to be made in higher management positions. I would not think much of it if I worked at one store but I have been at three different stores and it has been the same. These managers need help in respects to all employees not just one or two. Hell some of them dont even know the whole store...so sad.

This comment concerns the location at Shields and West, Fresno CA. I needed to use the restroom, only to find the door locked. The only employee I could find, after being told that I needed URGENTLY to use the restroom just turned and walked away from me like I hadn't said anything. I found a second employee who told me to "go wait by the bathroom and we'll get someone back there." After waiting almost 15 minutes I finally lost control of my bladder and urinated on the floor. As I tried to walk out of the place with what little dignity I could still muster, people were looking at the stain on my shorts with such disgust I ran out of the building in tears. I called the manager of the store after I returned home to notify her what had happened, only to be told, "Well, I guess I better get someone back there to clean up your mess..." Plan on being boycotted by every handicapped citizen in this city, because that was the single most humiliating experience I have ever suffered through.

This is for the Ontario CA store on grove ave, on Sunday 7/22 I walked in the store at exactly 8:00am and was approached by a cashier (chon) who pushed a shopping cart towards me and a manager (Patricia) who raised her voice at me yelling "you can't be in here we are closed!" So I took my phone out and showed her the time which was 8:00am, so I said "it's 8:00am it should be open (according to the sign at the door) she proceeded to yell "I don't care we are not ready yet! We don't have money at the registers" she then kicked me out the store and had a bunch of people waiting outside the door, that was very unprofessional! If Patricia (manager) can't manage to have the store ready by the time they should open then she shouldn't be a manager.

I'm asking and requesting to your company to check the video camera, you can hear and listen and watch it, and decide what happened that day if I did something wrong with the cashier and the security guard and the manager, they have my I.D and card for long and they know I was looking for it and they told us to check their cameras, they want us to go outside and I said why? I went to the 99cents only store in Victorville, ca today...i ask a attendant where were the baggies? The non english attendant working on the floor didnot understand...i said no speak english ? The non english attendant spoke no english...I was applaud...a non speaking english employee didnot understand or speak english...I asked another attendant...where would the bags..baggies be? the attendant looked at me as if i was in the wrong country...i again asked her...i found them and was upset...non speaking workers work for 99cents stores ..while english speaking individuals dont get to have jobs there...ENGLISH IS THE #1 LANGUAGE IN THE UNITED STATES...STOP THE BS WITH NON -ENGLISH SPEAKING WORKERS...WE NEED JOBS TOO...
favoritism/ relationship with manager and employee
I worked at the 99 cents only store in Yuba City, California for a few months. I noticed that with the night manager Daisy Quintero and employee Ruth Hernandez there was constant favoritism and the rest of the employees were not being treated bery fairly. Then it took into notice that there is a relationship status going on between the manager and employee which i believe should not be allowed. The employee does get to get away with what she pleases due to this situation. No employees are allowed to be in the office without a manager in the lookout and Daisy Quintero(manager) allows Ruth Hernandez (employee) to enter the office without supervision. I believe that this needs to be taken into account because treatment should be equally shared between the management and all employees. As well as it is under the work code from my understanding that a manager cannot be in a relationship with an employee below their own position. Flirting has been witnessed. Cameras in office if any should be able to justify that they do go in the office quite a bit as well as Ruth Hernandez enters alone with the keys. Daisy Quintero has quite an attitude when it comes to customers and should be looked upon. Enjoyed working here and shopping but the management duties she holds are not quite appropriate for the store.

Found some items on the floor wanted to purchase when taking it to the register, items wouldn't scan. Ms Angelica calls her manager couldn't catch her name. Goes over starts talking to me Angelica and takes my merchandise without any acknowledgement of me being there. She didn't apologize or has any explanation. In which at one point I stated that she was rude. She rolled her eyes and took my merchandise. I felt mad at the time she took my things and no reason or explanation. I work with clients and we know better than to be passive aggressive towards our paying clients. She needs to take clases on how to speak and deal with clients. Becaus bottom line I am and was a paying customer. This happened at 1011 AM

I went shopping today (07/11/2018) early in the morning to my favorite store "99 Cents Only Store" and I saw 2 ladies (customers) that did not move from right in front of the fridges and I noticed that they had like 10 packets of kraff cheese strings and they were family size, I asked one of your workers if he had more cheese in the back, because I assumed that those ladies were waiting for more, he look at them and he answered "No we don't have any more" so I went to another aisle and I turned back and to my surprise he was giving more cheese to those 2 ladies and I pass by them, one of the ladies told the other lady " I don't care what people think" and look at me, I continue walking I did not say anything. I think that what your employee did was not ethical, he was giving the first option to his family or friends, I do not know if that is your policy to save products for employees or employees friend's or family members. This is not the first time that I have seen something like this, sometimes you see that they save products with their names. I think customers do not have the opportunity to buy as well as they do. Thank you for paying attention to this matter.

Hi I'm sorry to hear that you're getting negative feedback when it comes to trying to get help from you co-workers or supervisor on duty. I hope you don't get fired or at least have some people help you out or give you some tips on how to get done faster. Unfortunately I understand because I work for the 99 too, and yesterday I was told by a supervisor to mind my own business when it comes to checking for B.O.B. (bottom of basket) when a customer has things in a Shopping cart and not on the belt in order to help another cashier who couldn't see it. Yet THAT'S PART OF MY JOB! Yup and she said it loud and Infront of many other employees and many customers who just looked at me like "wow did that just happen?
