I went on line for a free 14 day trial of Acai Berry. Received that in the mail. Within 2 weeks I am receiving more bottles. Tried to call the "24/7 Customer Service number [protected]" and the phone just rang and rang. Went onto the website and found complaints regarding this company, FMW Laboratories. Thank goodness someone put a billing number online which I called.

I did speak to a representative. I told her I wanted to cancel my subscription. She was helpful and gave me a confirmation number. She also stated that I will receive an email as to how to send back these unopened bottles of Acai Berry.

I will update you after I receive this email.

This place is horrible. Definitely call them and demand a refund. They say its only a 14 day trail and then you have to call and cancel. I also mentioned getting the police involved and mentioning the numerous sites about the scam this place has made. I'm waiting for my e-mail and for my refund. We shall see. Good luck everyone!

I too ordered the Acai Berry supplements under the free trial offer. When I tried to cancel as I should have been able to do, within two weeks, I was unable to get anyone on the phone number provided. To date I have tried 16 times and always get "this mailbox is full" response. I have been charged $87 on my credit card, and will keep trying.
What a scam, somehow they have to be made accountable.

They got me too! I've called the bank and cancelled my card; although the bank representitive was not all that reassuring to me...she thought I should "wait to see" if they hit my card again! ABSOLUTELY NOT!

I don't have any money to burn! Not for a day or a dispute! Same story here, I received a cancellation # and she said she'd email. I still have not received the email, although I did finally get the product today.

Has anyone taken one of the capsules to a real lab? Is it really Acai Berry?!

I want to try the pills but now I'm scared...

READ IMPORTANT! Fit-Fac [protected] & Acai Berry [protected] (Central Coast Nutraceuticals ) numbers I used and got a refund within 2 days of calling. I did not send anything back to Acai Berry because of the time or trouble. They offered me a $20 refund from the $39.95 they had charged me originally. They would have charge me a reprocessing fee of $6 and by the time I got the mailing envelope, paid the postage and the time spent doing all that it was worth it just to get the $20.

This is a scam and they are taking forever to refund your money. They have no number to call for your refund only a call center that will take orders or send them to a refund site. I have called many times and tried looking up numbers which gets me back to the same site. They will be turned into the BBB of Florida within the next couple of days. Companies like this need to be shut down.

Thanks for the billing dept. contact info. I called FWM Labs. and they gave me the same 14 day trial period B.S. I told the rep. on the telephone that I have a son who works in Hollywood, FL (fact) and that if they did not remove the bogus charge from my account, I would have my son pay FWM labs a personal visit. Then, and only then did the rep. agree to remove the bogus charge from my account. I did get a customer complaint confirmation number over the telephone but I'm not going to hold my breath for the e-mail confirmation. Again thanks for the contact information.

early december i ordered a free trial 2 weeks later i received it. no problem. 2 weeks after that i had a charge of $88+ billed to my account, not a problem i had intended on continueing use. Never recieved a month supply. Today I get charged another $87 to my account still no product. The number on the bottle, A JOKE, doesnt work! I called another number, they told me i wasnt in the "system" and how convienient it was they can bill my account but lose the rest of my information. GIANT SCAM!

I too got a confirmation number over the phone even when she didnt offer it straight out. I will be cancelling my card ASAP to make sure no further charges will show up for a product I have yet to revieve. lesson learned!

I had ordered the AcaiBerry and it never came in the mail. I then loged onto my account with the back and there was a 87.13 charge. I called the number that I found on line, and did the run around until I just started punching the buttons on the phone, a woman answered from India, hard to understand her, asked for someone else that spoke better english, she told me she was the only one there and that was all. I told her about taking money off from my card of products that I did not receive. I wanted to cancel my order and wanted my money back, This was Jan 6, 09. She told me it would take 10 days to do that. She would send me a email to comfirm along with a comfirmation number. So I waited for the money and the email, then on the 19th they took out another 87.13. I tried to call again and all I got was ringers and messiage that the box was full. So I went down to my bank and turned them in for credit card fraud, canceled my card. I called them this morning and finally spoke to Daniel Fox #941 where I informed him that I had been to my bank and turned the company in for credit card fraud. At that he was very sorry and no one had to do that, it was just a misunderstanding and would be happy to return my money they had charged me and that the women before did not canceled the supscription and that he had and would be sending me a email to comfirm that he had did just that, and that he was very, very sorry. If they dont want to work with you just tell them they will be turned them in for credit card fraud, if they do not make it right in 3 days then do just that. Just canelling your card is not enough turn them in for credit card fraud, this is the only way to shut them down. Turn them in to the BBB in your state and also in Florida, they will shut them down for their fraudgent charges, Gail

My Husband ordered the Acai Berry and Colon Cleanse from FWM Laboratories online before the New Year and paid two shipping fees of 3.95. However, upon hearing about the scams going on with Acai Berry and that they were charging your account $87.13 we called to cancel and make sure we would not be charged. My husband was on hold for 15 minutes and finally got this foreign representative called "Nero" who said we had called on the last day of the trial and that NOTHING had been taken from our account yet so we told him he better cancel everything immediately and that we did not want any further shipments of the product and that we know it was a scam. He tried to get my husband to pay $40.00 per bottle but my husband refused! So he gave us two reference numbers regarding the cancellation of both products. We received our statement from the bank yesterday and we were charged $174.26 from our account without authorization! There were also some foreign currency fees which means the company is not in the US. My husband was furious and tried to call back but on trying a couple of different numbers could not get through and got voicemail. So we knew that we were not going to get anywhere. My husband went to the bank and reported the company as fraud. The lady in the bank was very helpful. She made him fill out forms stating such. She said the $174.26 would be covered by the bank as it was fraud (she said she knew it was fraud because of the foreign currency fee involved). She cut up my husbands debit/credit card and cancelled it and will be sending out a new one. Obviously they will continue to take money out of your account even if you cancel several times. I would suggest to anyone that has ordered from this company to contact their credit card company or bank immediately and cancel your card. Otherwise you will be charged again and again. It is horrendous to think that this company is getting away with this. I think everyone should submit a complaint to the BBB and report them. Good luck. I will never order anything online again!

To whom that has been scamed out of money. You have the address, phone number and email of the governor of Florida. Call email, write to him fax it to him about what this company is doing. Ask him to investagate this matter, and ask him to shut down this bogus company that is committing credit card fraud. Tell him your story enough of us do that he will have to take notice. I am sending a cerified letter to the FWM labortoies in Hollywood FL. if they sign for it they have 14 days to return my money if they do not sign for it I can immitity go and find a lawyer and start a law suit against them for committing credit card fraud. They need to be shut down, fined and put in jail. Dont take this laying down stand up for your rights.

I called again today after I had checked my account today to see another charge under a different product name [same [censored] number] you will find on a sample bottle. Further advise is to contact your bank, cancel the card you ordered with, notify them it is fraud charges & go thru your bank for further help. FWM labs will continue to scam you if this action is not taken. keep a close eye on your accounts aslo until you can contact your bank.

They will tell you your subscription is cancelled as many times as you call. and they will also tell you a complaint has been filed and will put you on IGNORE aka "on hold". you will not recieve the confirmation e-mail either. so dont hold your breath.

best of luck to you all

On 1-9 I ordered from FWM and paid my $3.95. Fourteen days later 1-24 they charged me $87.13. The customer service rep said that the ad says there is only a 14 day free trial. How can you have a 14 day free trial when it takes them a week to get it to you. I called and cancelled my subscription for both items. The postage date on the colon cleanse was 12 days after I ordered it. The rep also told me to see the fine print in the ad at acaiberry.com. There is no fine print. I am going to the bank on Monday and file fraudulent charges against FWM. I haven't even had the pills long enough to know where they worked or not. Never, never again will I order anything like this.

If you want your colon cleansed, just ask your doctor. He will be glad to give you a perscription for "GoLitely". Yes the very same miracle stuff that you drink, the night before, you have a colonoscomy. If it os good enough for the doctor's to use (and you too) then it's probably the best ingredient to use. I have never pooped clear in my life but I did after using this stuff. The docs need you "clear and clean" in order for the scope to work and I will attest that my colon squeaked in the key of A minor. The doc (in order to see if I used the stuff, asked me a trick question, which was "So how many times did you go about three? I laughed and said "more like 33 doc and he laughed, being assured that when he went in there he would have a suprise waiting. I don't know why they call it "GoLitely" though. It's a gallon of the stuff. You pick up a gallon jug with the powder and all ya do is add water and ya "Go Lightly"...lolol. Ask your doc. It's safe and full of the same stuff the scammers try to sell and your insurance will cover it. Be smart guys and go lightly into that clear night!

I like many other people were dupt into believing that we were getting a free trial. To me a free trial is use the product for the shipping and handleing charges, then order if I like the product. I believe thier web page is misleading and should be removed or corrected.
I would like to see a class action lawsuit filed against them. Any one out there no how to do it, please include me. Jake barjakes@hotmail.com

The same thing happened to me. I also go the Naturally Young herbal pills with it and they did the same thing, Naturally Young just refunded the money back into my account after about a month and I am still trying to find an email address for Acai Berry because I do not do well with speaking to foreigners over the telephone, no offense but it seems like they don't hear you.

Hello to all. I emailed my complaint letter to web site that is listed somewhere here. I went down to my bank and filled out a complaint of credit card fraud. I also wrote a letter to Opaha one of the people they post on their site for the Acri Berry. Couple of days of doing this they gave me back the 174.26 that they had charged my bank card. Even with the bank card being canciled. So there is light at the end of the fraud. Just do not lay down and let them win.

I am from Chicago and I have also been scammed! I ordered the 14 day free trial on 1/10/09 and cancelled the same day because I read that the 14 day free trial begins when you order the product. I was assuered that a refund would be given within 3-5 business days. Today is 1/30/09 and I found that on 1/13/09 they charged me the 3.95 and I still have not recieved my FREE trial. I called those SOB's and they told me that my product was mailed out on 1/27/09 but that I could not get a refund because my 14 day free trail was over! I told him Jack id #1028151 i would be contacting the BBB on his 3rd world country BUTT !

************ PLEASE READ THIS ********************** I just looked up the ingredients in my bottle of PURE Acai Berry.. An Advanced Wellness Research Product. Here are the ingredients.

*acai berry juice powder 1200mg *... this has the asterisk. Now I go to the ASTERISK on the side and it says this. THESE STATEMENTS HAVE NOT BEEN EVALUATED BY THE FDA. THIS PRODUCK IS NOT INTENDED TO DIAGNOSE, CURE, TREAT OR PREVENT ANY DISEASE, BUT IS RATHER A DIETARY SUPPLEMENT INTENDED FOR NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT.
* Daily value not established.

Here are the OTHER ingredients: Gelatin, cellulose, magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide.

CELLULOSE is NOT digestible by humans!

Here are some definitions and links to the sites where it comes from. Do your own google search too!

CELLULOSE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellulose
Cellulose
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Cellulose, a linear polymer of D-glucose units (two are shown) linked by β(1→4)-glycosidic bonds.
Three-dimensional structure of cellulose, with four glucose units visible. (Black=carbon; red=oxygen; white=hydrogen.)
Space-filling model of cellulose, with four glucose units visible.

Cellulose is an organic compound with the formula (C6H12O6)n, a polysaccharide consisting of a linear chain of several hundred to over ten thousand β(1→4) linked D-glucose units.[1][2]

Cellulose is the structural component of the primary cell wall of green plants, many forms of algae and the oomycetes. Some species of bacteria secrete it to form biofilms. Cellulose is the most common organic compound on Earth. About 33 percent of all plant matter is cellulose (the cellulose content of cotton is 90 percent and that of wood is 50 percent).[3]

For industrial use, cellulose is mainly obtained from wood pulp and cotton. It is mainly used to produce cardboard and paper; to a smaller extent it is converted into a wide variety of derivative products such as cellophane and rayon. Converting cellulose from energy crops into biofuels such as cellulosic ethanol is under investigation as an alternative fuel source.

Some animals, particularly ruminants and termites, can digest cellulose with the help of symbiotic micro-organisms that live in their guts. Cellulose is not digestible by humans and is often referred to as 'dietary fiber' or 'roughage', acting as a hydrophilic bulking agent for feces.

Magnesium stearate: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnesium_stearate

Magnesium stearate, also called octadecanoic acid, magnesium salt, is a white substance which is solid at room temperature. It has the chemical formula Mg(C18H35O2)2. It is a salt containing two equivalents of stearate (the anion of stearic acid) and one magnesium cation (Mg2+). Magnesium stearate melts at about 88 °C, is not soluble in water, and is generally considered safe for human consumption. Because it is widely regarded as harmless, it is often used as a filling agent in the manufacture of medical tablets and capsules. In this regard, the substance is also useful because it has lubricating properties, preventing ingredients from sticking to manufacturing equipment during the compression of chemical powders into solid tablets. It is used to bind sugar in hard candies. It is also a common ingredient in baby formulas. In pure powder form, the substance can be a dust explosion hazard, although this issue is effectively insignificant beyond the manufacturing plants using it.

When used as a filling agent in the manufacture of capsules and tablets, such as vitamins, the source of this ingredient is typically bovine. However, there is an increasing number of vegetarian options in which the product specifically indicates it contains magnesium stearate from vegetable sources.

Magnesium stearate is a major component of "bathtub rings". When produced by soap and hard water, magnesium stearate and calcium stearate both form a white solid insoluble in water, and are collectively known as "soap ###".

Silicon dioxide: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silica

The chemical compound silicon dioxide, also known as silica (from the Latin silex), is an oxide of silicon with a chemical formula of SiO2 and has been known for its hardness since antiquity.[1] Silica is most commonly found in nature as sand or quartz, as well as in the cell walls of diatoms. It is a principal component of most types of glass and substances such as concrete. Silica is the most abundant mineral in the earth's crust.

IS THIS STUFF SAFE..? NOT DIGESTIBLE BY HUMANS? THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AND I WOULD BE CAUTIOUS OF TAKING SOMETHING LIKE THIS.
I took it twice and each time i felt sick to my stomach!

Please pass this information along... I know better I should of educated myself before I made this STUPID purchase! I was looking and thinking acai berry..not a bunch of crap that is not digestible and a BIG MONEY STEALING company stealing funds out of my credit card account! These people should HANG for this! SHAME ON THEM! The state needs to step in and the internet and shut these people down. I was billed on 1-28 and got the products on 2-6. I wanted to lose 10 lbs and I figured out that I only need one bottle to get started. I decided to call customer service to enquired about billings etc. It took me almost half and hour of waiting on the customer service number [protected]. I finally gave up and call one of the number suggested on similar complaints and suggestions above.
I was again put on hold but only for 8 minutes and the customer service officer was very professional and informed me that my subscription was canceled as of today and I would not be billed and that I do not need to sent the product back.

Same thing here! Agree with all of you.

However, keep in mind that there IS fine print on the FWM Labs website, however, it is buried under TERMS & CONDITIONS, which states you are agreeing to a repeat order by ordering their "Free Sample". I missed it the first time.
Guessing we will all do better purchasing in liquid, organic form from GNC or Vitamin Shoppe. Nationwide retail outlets have clear and meaningful terms and way lower prices: my sample bottle of 60 caps would cost $11 - 19 bucks on their websites. in liquid form costs around $25. And frankly, I trust these large, established retailers to sell quality more than some small, unknown and phantom lab(s).
Apparently the real Scam here is the high costs to take advantage of this fad, and too many trusting consumers.

If you had a return address, just send it back and Cancel your Credit Card. They will continue to charge up that Credit Card without your permission. Trust me, they will!
Whatever State you got the bogus product from, Call Consumer Affairs and the General Attorneys Office from that State and make them aware of it.
The FBI is aware of this.
Maybe even take some of that bogus product you bought and have it tested. You can use that against them since they will be throwing this at you "YOU SHOULD HAVE READ THE FINE LINES."
It is not a Company you are dealing with! Just a bunch of Scam Artist that move from State to State to take you for all you've got.

I'm so glad I decided to do some more research on the acai berry supplement after I received my "free" sample! I am really upset that I didn't read the conditions of purchase - I normally do. But I have purchased samples of other types of products with no problems like this.

But I called the FWM Laboratories at the phone number that was on the back of the bottle [protected]. Although I had to hold for about 2 minutes, someone did answer and I asked to cancel their promotion, and that I only wanted the free sample. I'm not even sure that I called within the 14 days, so I hope I don't see a big bill for the stuff in my next credit card invoice! But the person I spoke to was cooperative and she went ahead to cancel the subscription and gave me a confirmation number.

This is outrageous that anyone would do this, especially in this economy. I order the "free sample" & they charged my account $3.95 & $4.95 for shipping & handling & then 8cents for "international" something. My sister stopped by right after I ordered & said she heard bad things about this & they would begin charging my account & not stop. So I called back immediately & told them I wanted to cancel everything & they gave me a confirmation number. Then...today 2/23 they charged my account $87.13. Same story as everyone else...I've been on the phone all evening trying to get a credit to my account. Saying I got a run-around is a complete undersatement! I told them I cancelled & gave them the confirmation number & they said they don't even have numbers like that...mine was 5 units, 1 of them a letter...they said their confirmation numbers are 6 digits...so they gave me a 6 digit number to cancel future shipments & said I would be getting a refund & I know as sure as I'm sitting here that I won't get it. I am going to file fraudulent charges at my bank tomorrow as well. Right now the amount is "pending" on my account but the bank won't stop the payment until these people actually GET MY MONEY! Hey, I may be changing banks too!

My husband is out of work right now & we don't have money to spare! Now I & many, many others are afraid to order anything from the web!

Someone has to stop these people.

I live in Cincinnati & not too long ago a guy named Steve Warshaw landed in jail for about 25 years - same scam from his company called Berkeley Nutraceuticals...THIS IS HORRIBLE...

Has anyone received a refund from these people? Email me direct at debiodell@fuse.net

Yes, I was scammed too by FWM for the trial Acai Berry. I ordered the trial on 12-30th, received it on 1-12. Called to cancel the trial & any further shipments on 1-13th - received a confirmation # for the cancellation, thought everything was all good, but I was actually billed 3 days later on 1-16th for $87.13 plus a separate charge of .80 cents - after I'd cancelled 3 days prior! I had actually cancelled on the 15th day & I had 15 days to cancel! What a scam! I had called these reps. no fewer than 7 times to request a refund and this is what I was told on different occassions: They don't know how long it takes for refunds to be processed, it's handeled by the 'Refunds Dept.' and there's no telephone # for that dept., only an e-mail address. Was given 2 different e-mail addresses for the 'Refunds Dept' - emailed both a total of 4 times w/ no response. The various reps. continued to tell me that the subscription had been cancelled & the refund was in process. When I finally got thru to a 'supervisor' on 2-1, I was told the the refund had definitely been processed & I should expect to see it within 10 days & if not then I should contact my bank. The supervisor was very short & had a rather nasty attitude on the phone too. Well after I hung-up w/ her, I called my bank & filed a fraud report. My bank told me that they'd gotten so many reports of fraud ~ 'Acai Berry' orders. The bank did reverse the charges & told me that the company had 45 days to respond. The company told them that I'd had 14 days to cancel - that's a lie because I printed paperwork off of the website that says I have 15 days to cancel!

THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL SCAM! The #'s previously listed in the above posts DO NOT WORK - 1 has been disconnected, the other mailbox is full. I was glad to get the BBB # in FLorida that was listed - [protected] and actually talked to a live person after a very short wait & filed a complaint. I had already filed a complaint online w/ a BBB there, but didn't here anything. I just hope that these people are shut down & with a quickness!

I'll admit I really screwed up this time by ordering a free trial. Will know better next time. These people really know how to give you the run around. Like the others letters above, I was charged (87.13 twice) before I received my free sample. I'm now throwing all this free stuff away. They still owe me $174.26, but I do get many promises. The toll free # [protected] will get you a heartbeat to talk to.
