I ordered a trial bottle for $3.95. When i got my bank statement they had charged my account $87.13. I have tried several times to e-mail their [protected]@acaiburn.com and they say they will get back within 48-72 hours. Thas has been two weeks. I have emailed them again, no response. This is a scam. Dont give them any credit or bank information!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I took advantage of the company's free trial offer, and when the product arrived, I paid the €5 shipping fee
and the the price of the product was debited from my credit card. This was to be a trial offer, and I naturally thought I could cancel, if I chose to do so, but that did not turn out to be the case. My credit card account was debited on two subsequent occasions for the amounts of €46, 67, fraudulent debits by the company, for I never, in any way, requested additional products from this dishonest company. Although the debits were effected, I never received the products, which I certainly do not now, or ever, desire.
What can be done about the scam perpetrated by this company of thieves? I demand that they refund the
two completely unauthorized charges of €46, 67 they stole from me.
This is a really insidious company that lures you to a $4.95 trial of a product they boast is promoted by Oprah. You can cancel if you are in any way dissatisfied by phone, email or live chat. However you are tricked into signing up for a host of programs that are really unclear, and apparently are far from free. It is hard enough to contact AcaiBurn with the ways they provide. The phone will not be answered, or if it is you will wait for a very long time and then be most assuredly disconnected. If you send an email, there will be no response from the company. I was able to cancel via a live chat. Having discovered the myriad of complaints about this company after my trial order, I also called to cancel my credit card. However the credit card company convinced me to cancel that card and get a new number. Well this month a new $4.95 charge for online access and a $59.95 charge for who knows what appeared on that new card. My credit card company is battling the charge. But still I have elected not only to cancel that card, but also block it. I have no idea what other charges I got signed into, and worse yet what the process would be to get out of them. This company is so shady, it is not worth any try. You will get hoodwinked into a program you can not get out of. You have no idea what the charges will be and what they are for. Even the cost of the supplements if you liked them, was not disclosed upon signing on to the "free" trial offer. I found the tablets really awful and would not want to take them. When you sign up there are several other "benefits' listed all seemingly free and harmless enough. But you are apparently unwittingly signing up your credit card for things you simply didn't authorize and are not even aware of! You will receive no billing from anybody! You will have no idea where to go. If my credit company (Chase) did not take this on for me, I don't know where to begin. Chase reported that they have had plenty of dealings with this company...yet they continue. I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and will with the Better Business Bureau. Don't get swindled: just don't sign up!
i just order acaiburn and i hope they dont charge me full price .
I fully agree with these complaints. A free trial is supposed to be just that. I was not told when I ordered my free trial that I would be charged $59.95 after 2 weeks. This is definetly a scam. People please do not get caught up in it. I'm sorry I did it. Kathy
Acai burn is a complete fraud. My bank told me to file a poice report
So called free trial is not free at all. clearly the order confirm states "if you are not sure after 2 full weeks after receiving product, you are still fully covered by 60 day full money back guarantee". However when calling to cancel any FUTURE shipments, you are told that the initial cost of $59.95 will be billed to your acct, after your 15 day trial period to decide if you want the product or not. I've been looking and can't see that particular disclosure. Is there a place to make a formal complaint for this misreprenstation?
Acaiburn really is a SCAM! THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE 14 DAY TRIAL PERIOD. THE TRUTH IS YOU JUST DON'T PAY UNTIL THE 15TH DAY. I ordered the free trial on 2-1-09. I received it yesterday on 2-9. While waiting for the shipment I went online and read all the complaints, I wasn't too concered because most seem to not understand that they had to cancel within 14 days. I did understand that so thought I'd be okay. WRONG. Today (2-10-09)when I called to cancel because I would be unable to try it long enough to see if it works because my trial 14 days was already almost up and I just received the package, they informed me that I (and EVERYONE) WILL ALWAYS BE CHARGED 59.95 ON THE 15TH DAY NO MATTER WHAT. She said the only way to get my money back is to return the product at my expense, insured at my expense and upon receipt my credit card will be refunded within 2 weeks (we'll see, I'm not feeling confident though). Here is the break down, EVERYONE IS CHARGED $59.95. EVERYONE! EVERY ORDER! THERE IS NO "FREE 14 DAY TRIAL PERIOD! WHAT THEY SHOULD SAY IS YOU ARE NOT CHARGED UNTIL THET 15TH DAY. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS BAIT AND SWITCH! TRY SOMETHING ELSE - ANYTHING ELSE!

Don't just cancel but you are safer if you can change your account if you did it thru your bank. Let your Credit Card Company be aware of the scam.
What will happen is they will sell your Credit Card Number to other telemarketers and they will run that Credit Card dry. Then you will wonder where the other charges came from.
Make sure you file charges. You can do that with the Federal Trade Commission office online. They have a form online you can submit and also ic3.gov. They also have a form online. They work with the FBI. Their form is similiar to the FBI form. You can also file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office in whatever State you got the bogus product. There is a case against them as We speak.
Save some of that bogus product, you can use that against these Scam Artist. I hear alot of people are getting sick. Someone posted the ingredients on this website. One of the ingredients said "NOT DIGESTIBLE BY HUMANS."

This is just a Complaint forum, it doesn't represent your bogus product...
i was one of the fools who ordered acaiburn i was offered a free trial and the clock was ticking so i ordered in a rush. afterwards i read the details. i immediatly called to cancel but of course they would not answer the phone. then i tried their so called 24 hour e chat line to talk to a rep but evidently 24 hours does not mean the same thing to them as it does to me. finally two days later i talked to a rep and cancelled but she told me she could not stop the free pills or the 59$ that would be charged on my account that i had to return the pills before the trial was up to stop the charge. I ordered on 1/17/09 ! I cancelled on 1/19/09! I received the pills on 1/26/09! I returned them on 1/27/09 unopened! sent certified mail priority! On 2/8/09 they charged my account the 59$ So far no one will answer the phone.
This fraudulent company is charging more on consumers' accounts than the 59.95. I unfortunately paid with a debit card. I have been charged 4.95 twice.
The 59.95 charge includes an international banking fee of .48 and another charge of 9.95. I have cancelled every account. The bad thing is that they are using "affiliate" companies for the other drafts. This has been such a pain.
All you people who have unauthorized charges on your cc: Call your cc company and dispute the charges! If you have to, dispute the charges and CANCEL YOUR CARD. It's a heckuvalot easier than trying to deal with the company (although the gal I spoke with was VERY helpful when I called to return the "free trial." )I called my cc company and he took off the extra charge and canceled my card immediately. In about a week I'll have a new one (although I won't be using it for any more online purchases!).
I want to cancel my membership. Do not charge my account any longer.
I have ordered a 1 month sample of acaiburn and paid only for the shipping around a month and a half ago. When I received the product I noticed that the ingredients included chromium. No where in you advertisement was this mentioned. I decided to wait and ask my doctor if it was okay to take since I am currently taking a cholesterol medicine. Last week I received a package with 3 more bottles of acaiburn. There was no shipping receipt or any other paper work along with the delivery. I did not order and would like to return the shipment however there is no information provided in the order for me to do so. Also please reverse any charges you made to my account. I do not know how much I was charged and I did not authorize any charges. Please respond to this email with a responsible contact at your company so I may provide the information you need to get this transaction reversed.

I ordered a sample bottle of the AcaiBurn for $4.95, and notice d a charge of $59.95 plus another "Membership Fee" of $9.95 to my credit card account. About three days later I received three bottles of the stuf in the mail. Since I do not think this stuff really works, I called the (800) number published on my credit card statement, and got this bogus recorded message, and the call doesn't go anywhere-- No one answers that phone number. So I contacted my credit card company and told them what happened, and as it turns out, they said the company was a fraud, and are in the process of refunding all the charges billed to my account. Whatever you do, don't even think about ordering one of the trial bottles of the AcaiBurn because they will milk you!
Stay away from AcaiBurn. They say pay $4.95 shipping fee, plus you have trial memberships to 2 other companies. All companies charge you. Before the 14 day trial period is up with AcaiBurn, they already charge you a $59.95 fee for the pills. When you get the pills in, you can pay again to return the pills and they say you will get the $59.95 returned. If you attempt to even try the pills, you are still charged $59.95. How does this make since, you can not even try the pills for free as they list on the site. AcaiBurn are affiliated with "Insider Secrets To Weight Loss" and "Comprehensive Weight Loss E-Book Package". All fraud, all charge for trial membership. Theses sites need to be shut down!
please cancel my order of aciaburn on my account that I don't any more . I want orders you sent and others charges removed from my account or I will turn you in . Doris Flowers 1580 w new goshen ave. West Terre Haute, Indiana [protected]
I accepted a free trial (s&h) of the Acaiburn. I tried calling the phone number to get an RMA# for several days prior to the expiration of my 14day free trial. (I read the terms and conditions) I could not get any answer on the [protected] so I just boxed up the balance of the 30 day supply and returned it. I received a 30 day supply on feb. 12th and wrote on the package return to sender. I tehn checked my cc and saw they had charged my acct. 59.95 and this also had the phone number of [protected]. I called again and this time it stated . "This is an automated response. Please wait 48hrs. for your acct. details to be updated.
It is now Feb. 20th. and the charge is still on my acct.
I have contacted my bank and will wait 30 days for the 59.95 to be credited, after that the bank is authorized to take money back from Acaiburn.
yes fraud is the right word for this so called company i was asked online to cover the cost of shipping $4.95 and only after giving all my details did it then come up saying that i had been charged $24.95 because they only take credit cards once you have given them your card details you have no way of cancelling your order what i find most disgusting is that they are targetting people with low esteems about them selves an there weight lets hope they can be stopped an made to repay the people they have robbed
Their ad is deceiving - they make it sound like the first bottle of pills is free - I called their customer service and they told me that it was the first 14 days that was free, not the product itself. Isn't there like a governing body that oversees truth in advertising? Now I have no choice but to pay for shipping and insurance just so I don't get charged $59.95. Since I am within the 14-day trial period, I should be fine. If not, and they charge my credit card anyway, I am going to dispute those charges and file a complaint with the BBB.
WHO DO YOU CONTACT TO STOP THESE CHARGES, OR TERMINATE YOUR NEXT SHIPMENT AS THEY SAY YOU CAN?
SEE ABOVE COMMENT
I'm another sucker. The ordering process is very misleading. The wording strongly suggests you are going to get a month's free sample - you just have to pay a $3.95 postage charge.
Too good to be true? You bet. It is not until after you hit the 'Pay' button you are only then advised that you'll be charged for the product two weeks after delivery. Not a free sample at all.
In my own case, because I'm in the UK, that $3.95 postage jumped up to $12+ without warning.
And I never got email confirmation. All of this goes against the normal trading practices of Internet sellers.
I'm now going to phone my credit card company and get them to cancel this transaction. It might be a good product; it may be a bargain, but this company's way of doing business is unethical. Avoid them.
I ordered the the acai burn free trial under the impression that I would only be charged the 4.95 for shipping. I was charged 59.95 for some reason. I had called and cancelled my order the day that I placed it. They said that they could not cancel because it was already being charged. When I received the product I sent it back to them the same day I recieved the product. That was two weeks ago. They not refunded any of my money back yet. It is a big scam do not order!
Nothing is ever FREE! Like many complaints so far, I should have checked out this site earlier. I can not stress enough how annoying and frustrating this process is. I also ordered the Free14 Day trial and of course am being charged 59.95 for the 30 days they send to you instead. If you send back the 16 day (32 pills) than you will get the money back.. or we will see havent sent it back yet. The customer service reps are very rude and ill informed.. or so they are suppose to be. Also make sure you call all 3 numbers listed on the bill inorder to cancel everything or else you will recieve more charges. This company should not be promoted! Good luck if you have tried it, and if not do yourself a favour and don't.
I'm in the UK but I guess the same rules work for you. Get your card company to challenge these amounts as "unauthorised payments". This website contains plenty of evidence that you're not making it up.
Once the card company agrees (they want your business and are on YOUR side so it's probable they will), they just claw back your hard-earned money for you.
Also, they might agree to forward your case to their Fraud department, which involves you in no hassle at all and may end with Acaiburn having their internet merchant status revoked (please God)
The commerical and web add claim you can order a free sample for $4.95. My card was charged the $4.95 plus 5 add'l. charges. On Feb 17, 2009 $4.95 was debited from my account supposedly for the shipping and handling. Then also on Feb. 17th an int'l fee of $.10 . Next on Feb. 19th I was charged $59.95. My account says that was for the AcaiBurn itself. Also on Feb. 19th I was charged $1.20 for another int'l. fee. Mind you, I have not received any more bottles of this product. On March 2nd, I was charged $9.95 for what is listed as a pending payment as well as an add'l. $.20 int'l. fee again. It looks as if this company is planning to nickle and dime me into the poor house without authorization. I definitely do not want any more of this product.
I never authorized the transaction on 02/15/19 #[protected] cy1 for the amount of $61.14. I will be returning your on used package. And I do expect a refund of the amount you stole from me. You are the reason, Ordering on the internet is not safe. I have consulted a Lawyer, My father. If we have not heard from you in ten days. Actions will be taken. I ordered 1 free trial, from link of kirotv.com. I never ordered, or wanted your product. I've already e-mailed kiro, with my complaint. I am hoping an Investigation into your companies practices will make the news, So, all can see how dishonesty will not be tolerated in this world of "on-line" purchases. Mona Williams
well i have just found that i had ordered the 3rd one and they take 334.00 out of my account i WAS TOLd the SA MPLES WERE FREE where do you get off stealing from pensiomers and hard working people well i hope ypu have HEARD OF KARMA CAUSE IT IS COMING TO GET YOU SO BEWARE
I have been scammed ! £120 in all ... call your bank straight away they will show you how to cancel the 'subscribtion' that you join when ticking the box.
You will then have to wait 15 days and hope they dont take anymore. They have the right in their terms and conditions to withdraw and fee from your account without authorisation.
AcaiBurn did refund my original $59.95 when I retrned the whole bottle of pills unopened, but I still keep getting charged that $4.95 fee (twice now since I cancelled) and have called that 800# to cancel that too, but still keep getting charged! Buyers Beware! The only Business I know of that might do any good is the Better Business Bureau. If enough people report to them, I believe they can shut them down and keep them from ripping off more unsuspecting dieters!
After doing some additional surfing I have found that you must also call [protected] Insider Secrets AND [protected] Comprehensive Weight Loss to cancel your memberships there as well. You have to follow up on all charges AcaiBurn will charge your account by calling them for each charge. Insider Secrets nor Comprehensive Weight Loss will offer refunds but they will stop future charges to your account. When you ask for a refund they just explain to you how STUPID you are not to have read the fine print when you ordered your "sample".
I have sent 7 emails and spoken on their online chat 5 times. I cancelled all products over a month ago and they are still charging me for membership.
When I saw it on the web it said a free trial up to now this free trial has cost me over $200 dollars. and their still charging me. I would advise everybody to give this a wide berth and if I were living in the states I would be reporting them to the relevant authorities. This is an out and out scam which used sweet talking and pleasant chat room operators who say they will help you in any way they can, but nothing gets done . Absolutely nothing. I wonder if Oprah Winfrey knows what she has encouraged people to get into. If you weren't broke before this so called trial you certainly will be now.
The amounts came under acaiburn fro 61.75 and 59.95 and a membership I never signed up for.
Take the lose and quickly contact your credit card company and have them issue you a new card.
Contact your credit card company and ask for the security department.
Tell them you want a new card issued. Problem solved they can not charge a credit card with a new account number.
I ordered a free trial memebership of AcaiBurn at a cost of $4.95 for the shipping. According to the website you pay for the 14-day trial and if you don't cancel then you are billed $59.95 for each shipment after that. I canceled in the allotted time (had to call 3 different numbers also to cancel the ebooks as well) but was charged for the next shipment anyway. When I called to find out where this final shipment was, as it had been two weeks, I was told that the $59.95 was to cover the charge for the original bottle. Therefore I wasn't owed any additional shipments. Do not fall for this scam. Since I was charged for it I took the product for the full 30 days and got no results. I was even doing intense workouts and I've only lost what a person would lose without their product, average 2 lbs a week. For those of you trying to lose weight, just stick with old fashioned portion control and consistent exercise, forget about these diet supplement scams.
This should be a lesson to READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. From the acaiburn website:
If you do not cancel your Membership as set forth in Section 6 hereinbelow, and return the one (1) month supply at your expense, which must be received by us within fourteen (14) days of your receipt of the one (1) month supply of AcaiBurnTM ("14 Day Trial Period"), your Active Credit Card will be charged the monthly Membership fee of Fifty-Nine Dollars and Ninety-Five Cents ($59.95) ("Monthly Fee").
You have to return the product to not be charged...
im one of the telemarketers of acaiburn if u have any complains feel free to send me email on my own email adress ill be personaly deal with ur concerns im very disappointed with the comment ive read i never thought im working with a company like the acaiburn. my email adres is
acaiburn@yahoo.com
It seems all the websites are a scam, if you don't cancel before the trial period is over, beware as you will get all kinds of charges that you can't get off your card. They will tell you that if you read the find print that you authorized the charges by not canceling. It's all a SCAM! Has anyone had any luck with reporting these guys? Do we need to go to Oprah?
