I received my Visa statement today and there is a charge for $44.85. I did NOT order this and I will not pay it. I was to be charged only for the shipping cost of $4.95 for a FREE sample of Acaipure. Today is 12/4/08 at 3:55 pm.
I have tried to call and am on HOLD for over an hour. This charge will not be accepted. What kind of scam are you into? I want a credit to my Visa and a confirmation of that credit by mail and I will not wait--I want that credit to my account now and the confirmation now. I simply will not put up with this. I also ordered a free sample and was only to be charged $1.95 for shipping. When I received my sample, I was charged $41.95 and received items I didn't even order, including a $10.00 pack of gum. My order was processed through Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. and after several times of trying to contact them, I still get no answer!

Ordered the sample (free...4.95 shipping) yesterday and then saw all these complaints. Immediately called my credit card company - sure enough - there was a pending charge for $44+! Had the credit card company send the charge to the fraud unit and cancelled my card - having it reissued under another number so they can't recharge. This is AWFUL... now I have to deal with a changed cc #. But at least I don't have to deal with them.

This seems to be a standard practice with these people. I ordered the same " free trial" offer for the amount of $1.95 and also got charged $44.95. Then again today I find another charge to my account of $39.95. What is going on? They can't be reached by phone either? I would like for you to return the $39.95 to my account. You had NO trouble taking it out. Thank you,
Rita Harrison

yes i was charged $44 and some change for the product that i thought was going to be charged 4.95 ...but if you would have paid attention when you clicked the "rush my order button" you would have seen the other 2 products that are checked off by default so in actuality you did order $44 and change worth of crap...i still havent received the product i ordered...and its been almost a week ...lesson learned ...taking a magic pill is not going to help i should get up and work out instead of looking for the easy way out...that should be a lesson for all of you instead of worrying about a law suit

i purchased acaipure online on 10-07-08 for the price of 5.95 for shipping and handling. i checked my account the next day and noticed a charge of 44.85 was on my account. my bank gave me the number to call. i called and spoke to kevin at acaipure, he got my name, zip code. i began asking what was the 44.85 for, he stated it was for two other products (water & appetite suppressant) that was added to the acai pure. he stated they just added the total amount together instead of billing each product seperate. i told him i did not order anything but the acai berry or acaipure, he stated i did because i did not decline it after i put in my payment information. i told him i dont care if i did not push the box to decline i did not order those other products and i want a credit done on my bank account he then stated he could not do that because the products as already shipped out. he also stated he was going to call my bank and let them know i did order the products and not to stop the payment. i told him not to call my bank he put me on hold anyway and came back stated the line was busy. he then stated, after a long period of arguing with him, that he would credit my account and for me to keep the products, when they come, for free. i told him i did not want any of their products for free or anything else, and don't send me anything.. this company is very deceptive and fraudulant. i know what i was ordering but they charge me for something else.

FURTHER TO MY PREVIOUS COMPLAINT I'M FORWARDING MY LATEST CORRESPONDENCE WITH THE COMPANY.
"THIS IS ALL PART OF YOUR FRAUDULAND PRACTICE, I ONLY REDEEMED MY FREE OFFER FOR $4.95 THERE WAS NOTHING ON THE SITE THAT SAID I OPTED
FOR THE ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS, IN FACT I'M NOT ALONE IN THIS, MANY PEOPLE WHO THOUGHT THEY WERE ORDERING THE FREE ACAIPURE WERE BILLED
AS MYSELF FOR ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS. I ASK, ONCE AGAIN THAT YOU CREDIT MY ACCOUNT FOR THE DIFFERENCE. GO TO ACAIPURE AND SEE THE TWO PAGE HEADING:
ACAIPURE Complaints - Charged my account for items not purchased.

I'm going to file a report with US POSTAL SYSTEM and inform everyone on the complaint page
to do the same and then start a class action suit.

I do not want your product as I do not want to deal with a company engaging in fraud. I have already
informed the people at Oprah.

I also fell for their scam and am fighting to get the charges removed. I too, have tried calling to cancel/stop adding more charges, but haven't been able to get through. Very frustrating. This company should be investigated!

I ordered a product for $4.95 and the next day they had charged my account $44.85. I went to my bank, cancelled my card and they put me in for another card with a different number. Luckily my bank refunded the money to me. I finally did received the product, not what I had ordered and now I can't get them on the phone to return it.

The man's name on the paper is Graham D. Gibson, President of the bogus company. The phone number in Florida is [protected].

Why can't anybody stop him and put him in jail for fraud?

I have also gone thru all the same as everyone else on this site, my question is Oprah Winfreys photo is on there site, does she not know anything about what these people are pulling?..I luckily used my card and they have cancelled it and are sending me a new one so no more charges will be billed, and will try to get back what i was billed...this is awful...

2 days ago I ordered this product and was only supposed to pay a shipping cost of $4.85. The charge has just come through my acct. for $44.85. I have also been scammed. We need to get this out so others will not be taken advantage of. I am going to see what my bank can do and I'm emailing Oprah to make her aware. Maybe she will mention this in one of her shows. I too will contact BBB and the Attorney General's Office.

Ordered Free Trial offer based on recommendation of Oprah testimonial. Was charged $41.85 to my debit card but have never received anything. Also I only authorized debit of $1.95 when I ordered.

Where can I go to report, start a class action suite for fraud, etc.

I ordered the $4.95 sample of product and $44.85 was deducted from my account. You cannot get anything but a message on the phone number provided unless you want to hold all day. Sent an email but have received no reply. This is a huge rip-off advertisement-FALSE-and I cannot believe that they can repeatedly do this and get away with it.

I am one angry person. "If it sounds too good to be true"...

I also was taken for a ride, ordered the sample, paid 4.95 shipping, and got 44.85 bill. I did not want the other items, I only wanted to try it first, to see if I would like it, these people are scam artists...Yes, they need to be stopped.

Thank you

offered trial offer for $4.95; charged $44.85 for product from account. This is not what the offer said, this is not what I wanted, have emailed-no contact, phone worthless unless you want to hold all day. Obviously, I am not the only yokel that has been taken. Should have known better but feel they should not be allowed to continue to do business in this fashion.

I also have ordered the Acaipure on 9/22/2008 and yet was ordering the 14 days trial and yet I still have not recieved any product but the $45 or so were withdrawn for my bank account. If anybody has any advice is there someone that we can make a formal complaint to for this scam. Being as though I don't want more money withdrawn from my account in the future from this company.

I also ordered AcaiPure for a free trail and was sent additional items that I did not ordered. I received the GUM and the Water and I do not want these items at a total of $40.00. I will call my credit company to stop the payment and I will be sending back the products that I did not order. I will be keeping the CAPSULES because they are for a free trail. I can't believe that this company was on OPRAH and offered this product for free and then send me items that I did not order and to charge outrages prices for it. I will also let OPRAH know so that she can be aware of this.

To add to the others, I too thought I was getting the free sample. Then printing the terms I found it would be as on going deduction from my bank account. I have called the 'bogus' telephone number [protected] many times, only to be shuffled around by automated messages. After reading the terms the same day I cancelled the order 3 times on Sept.25th, only to have it arrive on Oct 9th. I have incurred bouced check fees and it sounds like I may have to change account numbers due to this matter. We are living in very stressfull times with the economy facing the bottom falling out and here are people taking advantage of other with this scam. I hope there is some regulatory group to handle all these complaints. Have you no compassion for what you're doing to people with this misleading ad.

Same thing happened to me, , , although I unchecked the boxes, so I would not recieve the unwanted items.. Could not get through to them by email or phone... so I finally got my credit card company involved and they were able to get hold of them, , , and issued a RMA # and they waived the restocking fees too. Make sure you keep copies of everything... BIG SCAM...
Makes you never want to order anything from the internet...

When I ordered a free sample of AcaiPure (plus S&H), no where did it mention being charged for Hoodia Gum and Water. I was charged $9.95 for the Gum, and $29.95 for the Water, plus $4.95 shipping, which was the only legitimate charge. This is clearly false advertising. I will pursue returning the gum and water, which the invoice says is possible.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!

This is exactly what I did. I ordered it over a week ago and I finally got it tonight in the mail. I was charged the same amount almost immediately after I ordered it. I was told I would only be billed $1.95 to try the product.

I'm going to send mine back. I do not want it and I certainly don't want to pay $41.85 for a little bit of nothing. I also tried the 800 number and no one answered; I did shoot off an e-mail.

My guess is that Oprah Winfrey has no clue they're using her name and picture.

DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT. I truly believe it is a scam...

I ordered a Free sample bottle for $1.95 shipping on 9-23-08 and am still waiting for the product to arrive. I have tried calling and just get a message saying EVERYONE is busy and to call back later!
Well that doesn't work as I get no one LATER. I have tried to email to: support@centralcoastnutra.net---this gets me NO- WHERE!
Please cancel my NOT RECIEVED order and refund the 1.95.
