Very very VERY disappointed
Very very VERY disappointed. Sold our home in ***, *** in April and they packed *** up mid June. But due to family *** to stay in area. Put our stuff in storage with these folks until we could complete our move to *** in August. Contacted them mid August we were in ***. Sadly our contract did not include weekends so the *** delivery days was far longer than we thought. Here we are September 10 still no stuff . Our contract end date was September 12,. These people have strung us along telling us maybe soon. Now end of contract. We were told truck loading and will be here on delivery date last day of our contract. Surprise! Truck is down needs repair (sure, liars) now two more days now September 14. These people are awful dont sucked into low price . Not worth it. Hopefully we get our stuff soon. Not sure what is happening bankruptcy or what but these people have more than enough time to deliver our stuff

Absolutely the worst experience one could ever imagine when it comes to honesty. There is no honesty with this company. They underestimate your house's possessions and then nail you four days before delivery with a price that must be paid or you will not see the moving truck. The owner has been called a sociopath by a former customer and the sales estimator, ***, is a liar and purposely underestimates your quote. I called *** a liar and a thief and the owner defended him and became very nasty with me. He doesn't know who he is dealing with and I have several past customers who are sharing their stories with me. My lawyer is drafting a letter to them. Beware when they ask you to pay by cash or cashier's check because you will go down a path that is ***. We plan to take him to court and have his business challenged. They extort, hold your property, lie, and remove all negative comments about them. I am blessed to be working with someone who took the owner to court and WON! Please save yourself aggravation, time, and unnecessary money. Advanced Moving & Storage will be your worst nightmare."
My relationship with the entire staff was relaxed. I was delighted, and I felt no tension throughout the whole process of moving. *** and *** are very kind people and easy to communicate with. Will use Advanced Moving & Storage in my next move for sure..
We have moved a few times before, but this move topped the rest. This team that moved *** were super nice, friendly, efficient and helpful. The communication from *** in the office was excellent. The estimate was accurate and everyone was friendly. *** called me promptly to let me know he was on his way and kept in communication to keep me posted. I used Advanced Moving & Storage for a cross country move and would use them again.
I used them while doing a long distance move. Advanced Moving & Storage move and store all my belongings. To be honest, they were spot on at everything. They were punctual, speedy, accurate and very careful with my things. They never looked confused or carried away. I just loved their professionalism and the willingness to help. It was actually a move which was better than perfect! I do believe that they can handle all kind of moves efficiently.

This was by far the smoothest move I've ever experienced, either local or cross-country. *** in the office was a delight to work with--very thorough and helpful through every step of the process--and the three-man crew who loaded my truck were amazingly hard-working, careful with my belongings, remarkably quick and super pleasant. After my first call to ***, I had to move up my date due to a faster house closing and was accommodated without a problem. Delivery was very fast, and I had not a single thing broken or bumped: I've never gotten through a move without a few material "casualties". Furniture was placed per my preferences, put back together as needed and my new place was left clean and intact (no banging up against corners or doorways, floor protection used, etc.). I felt that Advanced Moving & Storage was very communicative throughout the entire process, including the final payment via cashier's check. I honestly could not have asked for a better crew or experience, and am hugely grateful for their professionalism and care: It made moving to a new state so much less stressful. Nothing was damaged and I was amazed at how fast they loaded and unloaded me to my third floor apartment (no elevators). I am moving again this year and will definitely be using them again..
They were just very quick, they moved everything in the allotted three hours. That is all I really look for. Nothing was broken. They had everything that they needed to have - dollies, wrapping stuff. They wrapped all my furniture. They were prepared. The pricing was reasonable. I received all the services that I requested. I would probably recommend them to my friends and family.

We recently moved using Advanced as our mover...what a mistake. First, they raised our pricing twice with some lame excuse about time taken rather that the price they bid.Our major grump they did an absolutely terrible job scratching and scuffing multiple items. They did fix some but claimed others just were not done by they and as such *** not fix. They did take inventory of boxes by number when packing but never detail contents saying (after the fact) they did pack so could not responsible for detail of contents. When they unpacked they didn't even have the inventory report to confirm receipt of our boxes. As a consequence they lost multiple boxes with contents...they went on to claim we couldn't prove contents or existence of the boxes and as such they were not covered...think about it ...they never checked off (documented) delivery of boxes and as client you can't prove anything.I don't believe I ever filed a BBA report on any business...ever... but these guys don't deserve your business regardless of their service claims or pricing because their commitments aren't worth the paper there written upon...STAY AWAY
This company is by far the best! Good Quality, Good Value, Professional, Responsive and so very Friendly and Kind. Do Not Go Anywhere Else! And Make Sure you Get *** as your packer and driver, I was amazed at his talent to pack!

I am a very dissatisfied customer of Advance. They picked up my items on 12/22. According to the agreement, delivery was due on 1/10/22 but failed to occur. When I called on 1/11/22, I was told the delay was due to the pandemic. However, the pandemic was already ongoing when the agreement was made, so a realistic delivery date should have been provided. The nearly two-month delay has caused me significant financial strain. I've had to purchase air mattresses, work clothes, and some furniture to get by. They promised delivery on 2/17, so I took unpaid leave, only to learn the driver quit and my items wouldn't arrive. Despite promises to call back within two days, I received no update. Calling them again, I was told I'd be contacted the next day with more information, but the representative refused to provide a name for follow-up.

The owner and his son, the company's dispatcher, are both scammers. They were seven hours late without explanation. When I spoke to the owner, he dismissed the delay, saying moving isn't an exact science. They gave a quote to transport my mother's belongings to Georgia, but after two months, we're still waiting. The son collected the check but has been unresponsive since. Despite numerous calls, the owner doesn't reply. Their online reviews reveal a pattern of scamming, with over 105 reports. We plan to report them to the ComplaintsBoard.com and state Attorney General. The company is unprofessional, doesn't return calls, and has my 50% deposit. I'd give negative stars if possible. My lawyer can't even get a callback. It's a mystery why they're still operating. We want my late father's and mother's belongings, which were due in Georgia by May 18. The owner cashed our check for $1176.74 on April 5, but has not delivered.

What a great day and a great experience.The last two times I used a moving company, there were a lot of problems. The second to last time they brought a truck that was too small, confident everything from my small apartment would fit. By the end of it they had the nerve to tell me I had too much stuff, and I ended up having to rent a UHaul and making a 3 hour round trip just to get the rest of my stuff. The last time was horrible in too many ways to list, but it was across the country and through a broker who tried to rip us off at several points.This time, everything went great. They even finished early. They inevitably dinged up some walls and floors, but I don't know how it's possible to avoid that completely with everything they had to transport between my old place and my wife's old place. The floors got really dirty, but again, not really avoidable for the most part considering it was snowing. They did a fantastic job overall, and were willing to jump over a number of hurdles that I know made their day more difficult than it would've been otherwise. They were very kind, and made sure everything ended up in the room it needed to go in.The best part was that they put the elliptical in the wrong place, and when I asked them to move it to the basement, they tried their best, though it wouldn't fit. So I spent an hour removing some of its parts so it would fit, and when I was done, they gave it another shot and succeeded. I consider that to be above and beyond. I was compelled to tip all 3 workers by the end of the day.

Nothing too complicated and I did all the packing; they just had to take off a mirror on the dresser. Movers were actually early which was nice and all were polite and professional. They wrapped all of the furniture with pads and appropriate plastic wrapping. I really didn't have any complaints about the workers. The business owners and their business practices are horrible. Definitely do not recommend using this company at all. First of all, they are very aggressive after you obtain a quote. I was not in a hurry to move but wanted to get a ballpark cost. After receiving the quote I was texted, called and emailed several times by this company multiple times a week. Extremely annoying. They required a $100 deposit up front which is credited towards the move - no big deal, pretty much standard. However buyer beware when it comes to full payment due! Their policy is payment due in for form of cash, cashiers check or money order prior to unloading the truck. Fine - however if when they get to the unloading point they determine that additional time is needed, you MUST pay them IN FULL for the original balance due as well as their estimated overtime cost. They hold your belongings hostage in the truck until you pay up. There's no option to pay the original balance, unload the items and then determine the overtime amount. If you elected to get a cashiers check or money order and run over estimated time and don't have cash the clock continues to run until they get paid and only then are your belongings unloaded from the truck. Totally unacceptable business practice! I've move multiple times, even overseas and never have I experience a shady business practice like this one.

Advanced Moving & Storage is a fraudulent, deceptive company that bid low to win your business and then charge 50-100% more. I ended up moving 35% of what was in my home when they bid the job and then charged 50% more and then wanted even more money. Moves I made in 2007 and 2020 with far more property and goods took less than half the time.The sales rep came to my home and saw everything to be moved - all that changed was some of it was gone.Advanceds entire process is set up to strip the customer of any rights or recourse. If you have a dispute, management is non-existent. They then run the clock out and dont give you a final price until they have all your property locked *** in their trucks. If you dont like it, they will hold your lifes possessions overnight leaving you and your family sleeping on the floor. Management pounds on their poor movers to keep collecting more and more money but have no interest in helping customers or resolving conflict. After agreeing to paying 30% more to transport 30-35% less, I refused to make another payment without speaking to management. The operations manager that was telling the moving crew chief to collect more money refused to speak with me. The operations manager then told the moving crew chief to take whatever was left inside our new home and leave. They left packing garbage, items unassembled and heavy objects in the garage, all because we refused to go to 50% more than bid for 30% less. The sales rep was nowhere to be found. They ruined the excitement and fun of moving to a new home. It was 14 hours of h*** I would wish on anyone. And it isnt over - I have damaged furniture and walls, heavy objects in the wrong place and unassembled furniture including a bed. Deceptive bait and switch tactics, more money to move fewer goods, management that runs for cover and accepts no responsibility, movers unfairly put in the middle and an unfinished job that leaves customers hanging

On Friday, February 4th, Advance workers entered our home and assessed the job at hand. They began to move boxes and storage bins on their backs without a dolly, believing it to be faster. They upended our cleaning supply bins, starting what became a terrible experience. After taking a non-refundable deposit, they informed us of payment guidelines, requiring payment before unloading at our destination. When asked for payment, I discovered $700 missing from my purse. The movers had stolen it. We informed the company and called the police. The company's response was indifferent, even suggesting we might not have had the money. The police couldn't recover the stolen cash. One mover admitted to past accusations of theft. The office manager showed no concern and planned to charge us for the time spent with the police. This company lacks empathy and trustworthiness. I advise against hiring them.

They saw all my stuff 30 boxes and furniture and etc, which was on there invoice except I did forget two other chairs and a microwave. Any way they started pretty fast , they well going really smooth . Then all of a sudden they put there brake on and quit working... I then was inform by the driver that , I had pets and like what do you mean he try to tell me , I had bedbugs which no way . I m a very clean person so they stop , they said that they would deliver what on the truck , but that it, also said they were coming back inside my house which they did anyway , they use MY phone for a flashlight to show me the bugs and nothing was there. So I had to call my future landlord to let him know and of course , he said no, which I could nit do any thing about that. Now the fun start now in order to get my stuff back in my house , I had to beg this truck driver over and over again in front my neighbors. So I ask them could they put back on the porch and I would try to bring them back in and my back really mess up already. As I was trying my best to hurry up , here comes the driver wanting get pay or else . Here I sit at my computer desk throwing up and this said he was scare to come back in , stood right my back until he got pay. I m 63 years old in bad shape and he treated me like a piece of crab... Never in my life I ve be treated or heard of it. Is there any way to give this company a zero? NONONONONONO! Don't do it! The absolute worst moving company ever! I don't even know where to start! We were stupid enough to allow them to move our goods without doing our due diligence. Many other customers have left their review on ***. Take a look at them as well. We hired them to move us from Illinois to Virginia. Tyler is extremely helpful, professional, in the beginning,? to get your business but it stops here! First of all, they showed up in a clunker type truck to load items from our home. I have pictures if you want to see them. I have one compliment for this joke of a company. We had two set of movers. The movers/packers on day one of our pack and load were actually pretty good. Day 2 the movers were lazy and took forever to load the few items that we had left. Nevertheless, we had many issues with working out a delivery date. Tyler was not the Mr. Nice guy that we worked with when we booked once the delivery issues came up. It was rather difficult to actually get in touch with him via phone. First of all they were two weeks late from our delivery date of August 6th. We were told that dispatch had an issue with having a driver available to drive our goods from Chicago to Virginia. By the Grace of God, they were able to assign a driver. Here is where the crazy begins...the driver finally shows up...guess what...the people who were supposed to unload did not. I'm am not pissed to the highest of pisstivity! The driver proceeds to tell us that he was going to find some guys on *** to unload the truck. So, I am like what freak? You all are going to bring some random guys from a *** sight to unload our goods? He told me that the company used the *** site to hire day laborers. What the freak? At this point, I did not know what to do. I couldn't believe this foolishness. So the driver shows back up on the next day. The *** people he found did not show up for another two hours after the drivers. Y'all these fools stole jewelry and gift cards of my daughters from her high school graduation! Along with a very expensive designer purse( that could have been stolen on the load end). I could not believe that I had been robbed. I fed these people and gave them a tip. I have had nightmares of this entire moving experience over and over again. On top of that our walls were scratched and dinged above what you would normally experience from moving companies. Let me be very clear! Advanced Moving and Storage... Tyler and whomever else did not even attempt to help us! Of course, they had zero information on these thieves! Zero! Of course, they took zero accountability! The detective that was handling our case had a difficult time getting in touch with Advanced. She actually told me that this is a pretty common thing with moving companies. So make sure that your moving company employs the loaders and not day laborers. It has taken me a whole entire year to sit down and write about our experience.

I had a terrible experience with Advanced Moving yesterday (6/10). I can see from the other recent negative comments that I am not alone. It is hard for me to believe that their *** average of 4.2 or 4.3 is legitimate. Here are 3 good reasons NOT to hire Advanced Moving. I should have looked into this company more closely before hiring.First, the company requires cash payment when the truck arrives at your new house. They calculate an amount based on estimated time to unload the furniture. They will not unload until they have cash. This should have been a red flag. Making payment before the job is complete takes away any incentive to hustle. There was wasted time both at the beginning of the move and when the truck arrived at my new house. There was more wasted time because the crew insisted on walking all the stuff I wanted in the garage all the way from the street in the front of the house to the back. The garage sits on an alley but for some reason the driver did not want to move the truck around to the back. I paid for all this wasted time. SECOND, *** MISSING 100 *** After arriving at my new house, the driver abruptly walked off with my money in the middle of our transaction without counting it. I asked him twice to count it as he was walking away, but he did not. When he returned minutes later a 100 dollar *** was missing. I think it is very likely he took the missing 100 dollar ***. While I was on the phone talking to the dispatcher about this, the driver swore at me as he walked by on his way back to the garage. The dispatcher has not called back to explain this situation. After the driver swore at me, he stayed in or near the truck for the rest of the move. He would remove items from the truck, but that was it. By this time, the two helpers were moving slowly (3 man crew, a driver and two helpers), so I began to move things into the house as well. I did a lot of work, but I just wanted to get the job done and get rid of Advanced Moving. THIRD, *** TOP DESK I paid cash based on an estimated finish time of 4:15. With my help, we were about done at 3:30 with one more item to move, a heavy roll top desk. The crew then took a half hour break. Finally the two helpers began moving the desk towards the front door. By this time the driver was claiming to be sick in the cab of the truck and would not help with the desk. One of the helpers told me he did not think they could get the desk in the house and up to the 2nd floor office so I called Advanced Moving again. The dispatcher was not available to talk to me, but apparently he called the driver, who suddenly appeared to help with the desk. While I was still on the phone with a customer representative at Advanced Moving, the 3 man crew got the desk in the front door and left it there, then got in their truck and drove away. I asked several times why they were not taking the desk up to the 2nd floor but got no response. The dispatcher continued to be mysteriously unavailable, and has not called me back as promised by the customer representative. And the crew was not careful with wood floors. They also bent the front door strike plate on my old house, but apparently did not notice. They were not well trained. Finally, one of the helpers mentioned that the day before had been a tough one. He said they dropped and did a lot of damage to a grand piano. Do not hire Advanced Moving.

I highly recommend Advanced Moving & Storage. I've got all my stuff over at another public storage and got keys at my former roommates. They managed to grab the key and get all my stuff to *** safely and quickly. Communications are open all the time. And each step of the service is smooth. I know exactly how much I'm going to pay and where my stuff is all along. Price is reasonable too. I'd recommend with a five star.!

Advanced moving & storage, Inc. Was great and very pleasant! For my first time using a moving company my experience was excellent the crew was very friendly, respectful, and on time. My move went very smoothly I had lots of glass items, heavy items the two guys wrapped each individual glass piece separately and handled each items with excellent care also I needed doors and other items removed inside the home they crew removed and didn't not leave until everything was placed back in the appropriate space/area.Thank you advanced moving & storage for your help in a very stressful & trying time I will definitely recommend and or use you guys again?
