I went to Affordable dentures in Redding CA and had my bottom teeth removed. I was to get a full set of dentures. I already had a top denture but the dentist told me it was best to have a full set made. The dentist was horrible. It was a very awful experience. She was very rude. I felt every tooth she pulled and was given valume before the surgery. After she pulled my teeth she put me in the waiting room for an hour and a half, bleeding all over the front of myself and completely out of it from the medication. She then sent me to the back to have an impression done to make the dentures. I couldn't even open my mouth let alone close it completely all the while the assistant was yelling at me to close my mouth. She proceeded to try 4 times and then told me to come back in a week to get my dentures. I was supposed to have them the same day. The days following my teeth being pulled I was bruised all through the bottom gums and my chin for a week. I couldn't eat, and was so self conscious of having no teeth. When I went back to the dentist the dentures she handed me were so small I couldn't even fit them in my mouth. It was unbelievable to me. I had severe anxiety even going back to the dentist to begin with. She told me they were a fine fit and that they would adjust them to fit properly. I knew there was no way they would ever fit right. I have been back several times to be told I would not receive a new set and that I would have to get used to them. They were 100 percent at fault and I have been in extreme pain for almost a year now. I buy reline it to try to make the denture fit better without causing pain in my mouth but have come to having jaw issues and cannot even open my mouth without severe pain. I don't know what to do. The dentist is of asian decent and can barely be understood - talks in her language and is rude and has no compassion. She doesn't care about anyone but the money. She shouldn't practice dentistry. I will seek legal advice as this is the only thing I have left that I can do. My life is negatively effected by this.

Claimed loss: I have spent hundreds of dollars on reline it's and have had pain for almost a year now.

Desired outcome: I want a new set of dentures that fit properly and I want this dentist to have her license taken away. I am not the only patient that has had horrible experiences from this office.

The dental is very rude and just mean, she doesn’t care about patients at all. The sedative knocked me out, they still pulled my bottom teeth. Did impressions while I was knocked out, so they’re twisted. No one’s mouth is that twisted, they won’t return calls. Corporate won’t call back either, my Medi cal will only pay for dentures every 5 yrs. So I’ve been without lower dentures for about 4 yrs now, I don’t know what I can do to get dentures that fit. It is the worst dental experience I’ve ever had in my 61 yrs of life, I hate not being able to chew much less smile.

That's exactly how it was for me. I hate that woman. She has made life so uncomfortable on a daily basis. I don't know what to do either. I'm going to find a way to get her to pay for what she's done. People who have had the same experience need to come together and file a lawsuit
