downgrade from business to economy without any refunds
I bought round trip business class tickets with Air India from Nagpur to Newark. While coming back my domestic flight from Nagpur to Mumbai (AI 830) got delayed by 2 hours. Still I made it to connecting international flight from Mumbai to Newark (AI 191) and found a different person sitting in my seat. I was asked to sit in economy class or leave the plane and board next day. I was told that if I go in economy, I'll get a refund in airfare difference. I sat in economy but now unable to get a refund. I called customer service numbers and spent countless hours. However, there's no resolution. The customer service folks don't seem to care about any passenger whether it's business class or economy. They don't bother to call you back and every time you call customer service, you're on hold for more than one hour.

Told me to take united airlines to toronto but united people charged me a fare of 80 USD. The flight journey was on 4 of sept 2019. please help me in this asap or reach me out if you need any docs at [protected]@gmail.com

refund for failed transaction
Hi Air India Express,
I have attempted to book ticket on August 29, 2019 for the journey from Singapore to Madurai airport under the passenger name Benilin mosha. After entering OTP, money (SGD 130.80) get debited but, transaction was failed. It's almost 7days gone still, money is not refunded to my account. Also, I didn't received any response from you for that. Iam very disappointed with the service.
Kindly refund my money to my account as soon as possible.
Benilin Mosha
The author is misunderstood:
if the money had been debited, the tranaction is effected, not failed.
The claims can be addressed to the bank.
policy of redeeming ff points
I am a frequent flier member of Air India. I had not flown for approx 1 year with the airlines. However I had approx 16000 ff points. However, today I tried using my ff points but my account status said dormant. On contacting the AI helpline they told me that it can be only activated if I again fly with AI at least once. Well, this condition, if it is there us ridiculous as to use my points I've to fly again... Which makes no sense. Pls explain. To activate my account I can buy few points but didn't understand the fundamentals of again fly to remember activate the account. My email ID is [protected]@gmail.com waiting for a reply soon
where are each transaction and "FF" contract?

air india services
The worst service ever for hajis we are informed to wait 24 hours and left alone because of your service. Disgusting how can you do such thing to such a large no of people.
We have flight schedule on 2nd Sep 2019 12:15 am from Madina International Airport, they brought us in bus in front of Madina terminal and after 2 hours informed that flight is late for 24 hours. This is worst thing ever happened to me.

Even our return tickets is on 5/9/19.this is our buisness trip & we both paid approx 190000₹ for this trip but without our bags this trip is useless.

the display in front of the screen is not working.
I am Apurvanand Sahay. I was traveling from Delhi to Rome in AI123 having seat number 28J. I asked two of the crew members of the flight to look about the issue of the display in front of my seat.
The crew members were at first told me that they were rebooting the system and try to figure out the issue. But after half an hour both of these crew members remain non-responsive.
I asked again and I also requested them to change my seat if available. They, as usual told me that they are looking on this issue and one of them guessed that it might be an engineering fault.
Regarding the seat change request, they first told me that they will see about the vacancy of any seat but they again remain non-responsive.
When I asked to one of them about the seat change request, then they said that the flight is full and they are again looking if there is any empty seat available. At this point, I realize the attitude of the Air India crew members and their non-reponsive behavior remains a classical feature of the flight.
It made my 8.20 hours flight a really boring and long flight. I want an apology and stricter punishment to the engineering guy whose fault made my journey boring without any display. It would be nicer if the flight crew members were taught a little more decency to respond to a passenger's requests or complaints.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks.
The date of journey was 30th August, 2019.
destruction of korg pa 1000 by air india cargo handlers
I was traveling from Delhi to SFO on Air India flight 177 on July 1 with two baggages in business class. When my luggage arrived at SFO airport I was shocked to see the condition of box of packed Korg PA 1000 which I bought from New Delhi. Sending you pictures of the box which is completely trashed. It looks some one knowingly trashed the Key board, as it was packed nicely in foam outer layer and cardboard box on the out side.
It carried the Fragile sticker on top of it. I am very surprised how Air India handles its Fragile cargo.
I spent Rs 140, 000.00 on it to buy from Raj Musicals in Patel Nagar. Sending you the receipt of it.
While traveling to Delhi from SFO on June 23rd my luggage did not arrive and I got it one day later. I am very disappointed with how Air India handled by baggages on the both sides. I dropped my Korg Key board in your Air India office SFO as no airlines will take the trashed equipment.
Email given to me by the Air India staff at SFO are bouncing back. And I did not hear any response.
My nephew got me number for Mr. Sameer and promised me that he will call and solve this one week. This is more than month no response. I have been told that they are going to get money from the person who broke it. Which is ridiculos statement. I own a company, it is the responsibility of the company not the employee to pay me back.

no refund on flight cancellation
To Air India,
This email is to inquire about the complaint I had registered in your complaint book at the Air India counter at Terminal 3 in New Delhi on 12th Aug. Here is what happened:
- I booked a return flight from Singapore to New Delhi through MakeMyTrip.
Singapore to New Delhi- 3rd Aug, 8:35 AM
New Delhi to Singapore - 12th Aug, 1:15 PM
- While checking-in for my flight from New Delhi back to Singapore at night on 11th Aug, I found out that my flight has been cancelled.
- I was automatically rebooked on the 11:15 PM flight on 12th Aug.
- No information was communicated to me about the cancellation.
- No email was sent to me about the cancellation from MakeMyTrip or from Air India.
- I called up the Air India helpline number, I was put on hold for 30 mins. I gave up as I was pressed for time.
- I called up MakeMyTrip and asked them why I hadn't been informed about the cancellation of my flight, the representative said because they're not supposed to inform me- Air India is supposed to do that.
- I asked them to help and they said they'd call Air India and ask them to book me on Singapore Airlines.
- Singapore airlines left at 9 am and reached Singapore at a time I was meant to reach.
- MakeMyTrip couldn't reach Air India and it was already 1 am. The Singapore airlines flight was at 9 am.
- I tried to call up the customer care number at Air India myself, two times. No one answered. I was on the phone for almost two hours.
- I gave up, and booked Singapore Airlines in distress because I had to reach Singapore urgently.
- I went to Air India counter at Terminal 3, New Delhi before my Singapore airlines flight on 12th Aug and explained the matter to them.
- After checking they informed me that they've already initiated a transfer of Rs.14, 000 for my Air India flight which I will receive through MakeMyTrip.
- I have not received the transfer nor have I received any information of the transfer.
- I was also told by the manger that I should expect a refund for my Singapore Airlines flight too. Since Air India was responsible for booking a new flight for me and making me reach Singapore at my scheduled time.
- I expect a full refund of my Singapore Airlines flight. I can share the details of the flight and the amount I paid for it.
Please get back to me at the earliest.
Thank you,
Warm Regards,
Kanika Sagar

air india customer service and airport staff
Recently, my wife and my 5 year old son travelled from Delhi to New York (AI 101). It was the worst experience ever. My son was given the seat separate from my wife, even though, they were together when we picked up seats at the time of reservation. My wife questioned the Air India staff at the booking counter at the airport and also the supervisor. Instead of helping her, they were very rude to her as if she committed a sin. She was told that they cannot help her and she has to plead the fellow passengers. My son was so scared to know the fact that he has to sit away from his mom- he was scared throughout the flight. Even scared by the way the staff talked to my wife. Air India is the worst flight. People take it since it is a direct flight (from Delhi to NY) and it is somewhat comforting to Indians to feel that they are traveling by Air India (an Indian flight and crew). But, on the contrary, it does not care about the passengers and its own fellow Indians. So, a sincere advice to everyone- if you do not want 14 hour of bad experience, non working TVs, unfriendly staff and fear that your little loves ones could be separated from you, please do not travel by Air India. Very disheartening to write this review but the company deserves it.

Air India PNR number for your reference: Z723W, her eticket number from AUS-FRANKFURT-BOMBAY- HYD and return is: [protected]. Luggage was missing in HYD when she is travelling from BOM -HYD on July 5th, 2019.
Please refer to the complaint form attached. Missing baggage was delivered to her only on July 7th around 8PM which is a delay of 64 hrs approximately. She is put to a lot of inconvenience as all her clothes are in the missed baggage. Please provide us comensation at the earliest.

delay of flights
Dear sir/Madam,
I traveled along with my wife in the sector Delh-Tirupati & Back (via Hyderabad) on 10th August 2019 and return on 12 August in the same sector by AI 542 & AI 541 respectively. E/Ticket No: [protected]. My experience and complaints:
1. On 10th August, the flight was delayed by 45 minutes due to late arrival of the Cabin Crew.
2. On 12th August, though the flight landed at Hyderabad from Tirupati, it halted for more than two hours (against scheduled halt of 45 minutes). No formal announcement was made in the aircraft though message was sent through mail which most of us has not seen since we switched off the phones. Incidentally, no one in the cabin knows the situation.
This is one of many delays which I experienced.
My personal experience, we just cannot change the working culture of AI, only solution is to Privatise.
with Regards,
Air Vice Marshal Subhash babu
The Indian rules foresee the mandatory drinks & meals, which must be arranged by the air carrier, notification of the exact departure time, if the flight is delayed for more than 2 hours.
Nevertheless, the passenger is entitled to claim the addition compensatin, if he/she can provide the evidences of losses, via the district (magistrate) court.
service of air india
We have book ticket from Jed to Hyd but when we reach airport for departure no response was given by air India staff and flight was cancelled provided boarding pass to Delhi then should go Hyd from Delhi even with a delay of 5 hours and when we reached Delhi there staff has no idea why Hyd passengers are in Delhi and they cannot provide flight to Hyd for next 12 hours such a useless service provided by which I request no one to go by air India and some legal action has to taken for such airlines either stop them or provide proper service to passengers who are paying you for traveling.
failure to announce status of flight ai 866 on departure screens leading to denial of birding and wrongly declaring a no shows polite
I am Dr. Nozer Sheriar an obstetrician & gynecologist who was to travel the New Delhi for a Women's Health Summit organised by GHS & Quint on August 9, 2019. I reached the Mumbai airport in good time & checked in for AI 866. I waited in the lounge constantly checking screens for announcement of the Gate Opening or Boarding knowing fully well that Mumbai is a silent airport. While every flight announced its status, AI 866 constantly showed its status as 41B Now at 10.00 which clearly meant that the flight was delayed. After waiting patiently when I finally went to check at the gate at 10.10, I was informed that the flight had already boarded. The staff at the gate tried his utmost to have me board but was overruled by the person he requested permission from. The screen incidentally had not yet changed - no announcements of Gate Open, Boarding, Final Call or Gate Closed. I have annexed photos of the screens at 10.23 & 10.36 showing the frozen screen time for AI 866 while all other flights including those of Air India were updated & their status announced. After this horrendous experience all attempts at seeking an explanation for this lapse were futile over the next one hour. AI Staff Anamika Mane attended to me & while she was polite there was no resolution of my problem - no offer to put me on the next flight, no offer to refund my fare for a ticket I had bought that morning since I had to delay my travel due to an emergency at the hospital and not even the hint of an apology. They shifted the entire responsibility on GVK since the screens were managed by the airport and took no responsibility of the airline's own role in monitoring screens for their flights. A request to meet the Senior Manager was turned down since the Manager Archana Patki refused to leave her office to meet a passenger in distress or allow me to meet her there. To add insult to injury a passenger who had checked in in time, waited patiently at the airport and presented to the gate was labelled as No Show. As a frequent flyer for over 25 years who has always depended on airline screens for guidance it is shocking that a glitch or mistake b6 the airport & airline has punished me by having me miss an important meeting & had me waste my time & money. I do expect an explanation, an apology & redressal.
Such kind of claims, regarding the delay and/or failure to give notice regarding the conditions of the travel, which the exact place and the time of the departure for the passenger in the terminal,
can be resolved in the court only .
