refund details: air india cancelled the flight ai 439 on 8th july 2019. provide the reference vide which refund has been processed.
I booked a ticket for my daughter Divya Gahlot from Delhi to Chennai by AI439 on July 8, 2019 through online travel website www.happyeasygo.com.
The flight was cancelled by airline and therefore the ticket was also cancelled through call center of Air India but no reference number was provided by call center.
The online portal is asking for reference number of cancellation of ticket without which they are unable to process the refund.
I contacted call center of Air India several times and also wrote e-mails to get the reference number of cancellation of ticket but Air India refused to entertain me.
Now, the situation is like this: Air India refused to give me reference number of cancellation and happyeasygo.com says they can not do anything till reference number is provided by Air India since the ticket was cancelled directly through call center of Air India.
So, now this is requested to provide me complete details of processing the refund to happyeasygo.com so that i can take up the issue with them.

It's a sad part and very shameful moment to share this airindia staffs are so unsupportive and service is so bad, I was supposed to fly on 9th august because of overloading passengers they put me on next day flight to bhubaneshwar and 9th august they have depart my luggage to bbsr and executive said you'll receive your luggage at bbsr airport without taking complaint without writing anywhere to stay safe not to take it's their fault they made me suffer because this my important meeting was cancelled with odisha minister this kind of negligence showed by airindia people since morning I was asking them where is my luggage they said wait for till 9.30 now still they don't have any information about my luggage. I need compensate. Otherwise I will take this to media people..

Dear Sir/Ma'am, I had booked three tickets on flight AI 506 from Delhi to Bangalore which was scheduled for departure at 0945 hrs on 25 July 2019 from Delhi and later due to the delay of the flight by 3 hours which was rescheduled for 1315hrs I missed my connecting flight GO AIR from Bangalore to Goa at 1545hrs for which I incurred a loss of Rs 9000.00 to cancel the existing flight and book another flight to Goa by Indigo Airlines
I am therefore requesting for a suitable compensation for the delay by Air India because of which I had to undergo a lot of trouble and last moment bookings which has caused me a total loss of 12000 approximately for no Mistake of mine

Wasn't allowed to use the confirmed seat that we purchased and also printed on boarding pass. They forcefully did it and manually updated our boarding pass (PFA) . They given our seats to some other passenger.
They forced us to seat in some emergency seat. Me and my wife traveled together, we are both aged almost 60 years. My son confirmed all the seats 3 months back, then also we have to face this hassle. Can anyone form Air India justify the reason ?
baggage never returned after air india took it for repair
Hi,
i have made many attempts to file a claim for my baggage which was damaged by air India on my Flight returning from Frankfurt to India Kolkata .
After reporting the damage AIR India sent an agent from Dalui & Sons on 25.06.2011.
They collected my baggage and neither returned my baggage nor they answered my calls .
Please tell me how and what do i do about it ?

Today I boarded a connecting flight from Pune Delhi Chandigarh, attached are my tickets. The luggage that was checked-in when received was in in pity state. The bags have lost all there tags, they were completely ripped off. The suitcases were soaked in mud and water. The items in the luggage are left for no use. The entire damage is now costing me around 10, 000 INR.
When connected to the ground staff, there was no senior official available to address my concerns.Can you please look into this? and state why it happened. Also, please ensure that my damage is paid back.

I had booked a flight for my mother who is a patient and was travelling with my anut both aged 50+, she has to reach Ranchi on an urgent basis, and was not allowed as it was overboarded and in return they mentioned that we are a government agency you cannot any harm to us, it was on 14th of July with Cleartrip ID- 190712857912.
The things got so messed up as they were not at all listening that the poice were called and FIR was filed.
But till the date neither the money nor the Compensation was returned.
Just to mention if you keep on doing things like this you are actually on a verge to nonexistence. But now with more disrespect and more disregard from the public atleast behave like you are a government agency. Return the money asap as you actually dont pick up the calls on your customer service.
lost baggage
I have travelled from Hyderabad to Rome on 28-07-2019, to participate in European Master's Games.
However, I did not get me equipment baggage delivered at Rome.
I raised a claim at Rome, but they said the baggage did not arrive at the airport and they are unable to contact Air India to track it.
I also contacted Air India and they direct me to talk to Rome Airport and say they are unable to see the claim registered. I requested them to take a new request for the lost baggage. But, they would not do that. They kept me waiting for over an hour, with not even taking my baggage tag details. Finally they said they will call back. They called back with absolutely no information about whome and why they are calling and started to ask, how can we help you today, they put me on waiting again and after some time disconnected my call.
I am not able to track my baggage on world baggage tracker portal, it says; airline is not a register partner (btw I used the link given on Air India site).
I have travelled here with a lot of effort and to represent INDIA in recurve Archery.
I feel Air India is just not taking any responsibility nor is it part of the network required to track.

Accident on runway (Spice-jet plane accident) closed the runway plus heavy downpour.
Our plane from London was diverted to New Delhi airport, passengers remained on the plane for nearly two hours with little updates from the crew, one announcement suggested the flight will start soon to reach our destination before announcing all passengers must exit the plane and go to the airport.
Once inside the airport, there was no guidance on where we need to go and how they're planning to take us to our destination...no offer of refreshment, Air India service was awful, particularly to young and vulnerable passengers.
At the airport, they announced the flight will leave New Delhi for Mumbai at 14:30, further delayed to 15:30, then 17:00, then 19:30, then 21:30... after number of passengers losing their cool, they actually got hold of Air India staff by the neck, asking for senior management to get involved as fictitious schedules was announced...finally the plane departed around 23:30 for Mumbai...upon reaching Mumbai, our flight to Bhuj was missed and there was no flight next day so we had to remain in Mumbai for another day... no offer of accommodation or food despite arguing with Air India staff.
A new booking had to be raised for our destination to Bhuj on Thursday (4th July) ... even this flight to Bhuj was delayed several times... we finally reached our destination at around 13:30 (instead of 08:30).

Departure, LHR: 1st July at 13:15) to destination BOM (2nd July at 02:45)... then connecting from BOM to BHJ on 2nd July (06:35 and 08:30 respectively).

Hi,
This to you informs you that AI 018 from Ahmedabad to Delhi ( dated 20th July 2019) was canceled due to a technical fault. Concerning to this incident, I want to highlight the incident report, mentioned aircraft took off from the ground and covered several miles it was landed back to Ahmedabad due to a technical failure in the aircraft system. In this flight, I was traveling with my family.
This incident made me and my family members in a panic situation.
With all the above report, I want my queries to be addressed on a quick basis.
1. Why aircraft was not checked at the time of boarding?
2. Why security/aviation staff gave clearance to aircraft even after a technical fault?
3. Why Air India had not provided any compensation ( reservation in other/own available flight ) to me /my family members.
4. Who will bear extra charges which I gave to book seats in another airline?
5. Where does Air India stand concerning security/ service/life measures of customers?

After a travel of years this is the first time i am booking on air india for a flight from DXB to Bombay. However thier site is down and i was unable to make payments. Thier customer service reps told me the site is down. Before the flight prices went high i ended up buying the ticket from cleartrip which did not have an option to book a weelchair However when icontacted them as soon as i booked the ticket they say there will be an additional charge for the weelchair. WHen all the international airlines offer a free weelchair assistance why does Air India charge when we are pre booking the weelchair ? This would probably be my last time on Air India for my mom who is aged or for anyone else i would never recommend them to take Air India flights ever again. Pathetic Services

I was travelling from jaipur to Mumbai. I had checked in 2 pieces of bag. Upon arrival, my suitcase handle was broken and my bag is handled. When I asked for assitlstancr from airindia airport staff, they informed that nothing can be done for this. Are we paying so much money to ensure damage to our belongings. I have to spend equal amount of money to buy a new bag. What kind of service is this?

I had purchased seat 22C (extra legroom recliner seat, emergency row) by paying an extra charge at the time of booking the ticket. The seat number reflects on the e-ticket I received (attached). However I was incorrectly issued seat 25D by the boarding staff and when I pointed this out on the plane I was not allowed to occupy 22C. The cabin crew also called 'commercial' officer Dinu MP who argued the seat was never paid for as per his 'system' even after I showed him ticket and invoice (attached).
Please explain why my paid for seat was not allowed to be used and how you intend to rectify this wrongful treatment. Thanks,
you can not ask the explanatins, but you are enttled on refnd and moral harm, if you submit the cliam against either the travel agent or Air india carrier to the distrvci court.

I had booked a flight for my father via Air India Booking reference number YZXM0 on 3 rd May 2019 (via Expedia) and it mentioned that 2 bags are allowed for the sector Delhi to JFK. But before his departure from Delhi on 5 th May, it was communicated that the baggage policy has changed, and the passenger was charged $ 125 for the second bag even on the Delhi to JFK sector where 2 bags were allowed.
We again visited the Safdarjung Airport office in Delhi, where your Customer care head Ms. Khanna mentioned that Air India has wrongly charged $ 125 for the 2 nd bag and it will be only $ 50 and hence refunded the money. She also confirmed that the 2 nd bag charges for his return sector i.e. Newark to Mumbai to Delhi will be $50 and the passenger can pay the amount during check in at Newark. When the passenger went for check in & boarding, he was levied a charge of $ 100 instead of $50 as communicated by your Safdarjung airport office in Delhi.
We seek the clarity of why there was sudden changes in the baggage policy and charges and seek refund of $ 50 which was charge additional during the return sector. Other details as below:

unable correct spelling error of name on ticket within 24 hours of booking.

I booked my tickets through tickets to India from London to Bangalore via Air India - reference number - JB3CX.
There was a spelling mistake on my surname. I realised the mistake as soon as the ticket was issued and contacted tickets to India and air India customer service within 24 hours of issue of tickets .
I am being told that the only option I have is cancellation of ticket and pay the cancellation fee. This is a simple error which could have been easily corrected.
I am utterly disappointed with the service provided by air India. All other airlines are much more reasonable when it is an error.
I would appreciate if air India can look into this matter and provide me with some assistance.

It has been more than a month now i am chasing AirIndia for my seat reservation refund, there was response from the customer care during initial stage but they forwarded the mail to ecommerce@airindia.in where seems useless people are sitting.
On 9th Jun i was travelling to SHJ from CCJ had reserved a extra leg room seat by paying additional specially at the front of the aircraft to have comfortable flight, but from the checkin they already issued my seat to someone else and gave me at very back of the aircraft the seat, i asked AirIndia to refund the money i paid but no response at all for the mails, i even provided the boarding pass copy for their reference.

Madam,
On 1st February 2019, Ms.TANUSHREE travelled from Hamburg to Delhi via London.
From Hamburg to London/LHR she travelled by British Airways, Flight No. 967 dated 1st Feb.2019 and from London/LHR to Delhi by Air India Flight No AI 0112 dated 1st Feb. 2019. She had booked flight with British Airways from Hamburg to Delhi.
On arrival at Delhi Airport on 2nd Feb 2019, all of her checked baggage comprising of three (03) bags, were missing.
She immediately reported the missing baggage at Air India Helpdesk at the Airport (IGIA T3) and submitted baggage Tags/Boarding Ticket in original. Copy of report is enclosed, at Annexure-A.
She contacted the Air India 24x7 Baggage Helpline (Tel. No. 01149637540) but no one answered her call for 3 days, nor she was provided any update or information about tracing of her baggage. There was no information on AI website and British Airways helpline was also clueless about my bags.
After 3 days of anxiety, she received a call from Air India on 5th of Feb, 19 & was informed about tracing of baggage and subsequently the baggage was delivered at her temporary address in India only on 5th of Feb at 22:42 PM., Copy enclosed at Annexure-B.
In this regard it is submitted that in the peak winter season, she had to arrange for clothing and medicine etc, due to delayed baggage and she had to incur other expenditure unnecessarily, which caused lot of inconvenience. Further, No Compensation has been given, as per rules.
In this regard I contacted Customer Care No. 1860 233 1407 and all other numbers but no one picks up phone . You may get this confirmed by dialing these numbers. On my request on e-mail, I was asked by Chinnai Official, to provide ticket & seat number which I provided. They say that they have forwarded to concerned dept. (Annexure C)
On Air India Portal/Customer Service/Status, I requested vide R.No. WB-ILHR160219020, which indicated, "under process" for over 4 months and now it has been removed.
So far no action has been taken for the last 5 months and hence I have to approach your goodself. It is requested to kindly, arrange to expedite the matter. As Tanushree has left for UK, she has authorised me (father) to pursue the matter.
