3s a crowd and unhappy employees
My name is Tyler Trimble and I've been a customer of Albertson's my whole life. First of all I want to start by saying I have never complained about anything in my entire life. I always try to take the highroad and understand what's happening on the other side of the coin. However Over the last year the Vista location has gotten worse and worse. And I can go on any longer without saying something. This location is extremely busy at all times. I live across the street and am there at all hours morning, noon, and night almost every day. Without exaggeration every time I am in the store there are lines reaching into the isles with on average of 10 to 15 people per line. The store has over 8 check out areas and only has up to 3 open ever. Above EVERY register there is a 3s a croud sign which is a slap in the face to all of us standing in line. Upon asking The manager and other employees many times over the last week why they don't open another register when it's obvious customers are unhappy I was told they don't have the staff and are currently cutting hours of employees.
This sounds absolutely crazy judging by how busy they are at all hours. I've also talked with other employees that say their manager does not listen to their request and continues to ignore customers and employee concerns. I was urged by the staff to make a formal complaint because their words have fallen on deaf ears. I am considering investigating a lawsuit based on the threes a crowd mantra/advertisement because I do believe there is a case for false advertising and other management issues. I understand life gets busy and sometimes we must wait in line. I am always the first person to tell people to relax in this case, but over extremely long period of time it is gotten worse and I think it's time to find another store to shop in. At the very least
TAKE THE 3s A CROUD SIGNS DOWN!
Every time I walk into your store I am greatly disappointed to see lines out the door, angry customers, and only two check stands open.
Most of the time they don't even have baggers to help the cashier so that takes more time as well. All of which could be avoided by properly staffing the store and having a manager that can delegate the work properly.
Happy customers means more money which makes a good business that will last forever.
Cutting hours, cutting corners, and not adapting to the changing world is slowly killing The Albertson's we know and love.
As I said before I have never complained about anything in my life until this week. hopefully that shows you the severity of the situation and you take it seriously.

Who would have thought that a store like Albertson's could be so racist. I walk in with 5 empty bottles of water to exchange for our water cooler. I am talking about the Albertsons on 27th and 6th Downtown Billings. The lady looks at me and my pony tail then calls the manager asking if I would be able to exchange my water bottles and how many? (Remember Exchange) She says the manager will only let you exchange 3? I said why? She says we dont know where you got these? I said... HERE! She then went on to suggest that people like myself have been stealing them and bringing them in for the deposit. I said... believe me I did not need to steal empty water bottles for the deposit. I then asked if I could speak to the manager Alex...who came out and informed me that it is Albertsons Corporate Policy. I said what the #$%^ and said you mean if I go to Boise, Missoula or even the one on Grand Ave, they will only let me exchange 3, he said no. Just this store. What a waste...Albertsons is a RACIST Store period. Especailly Alberston on 6th and 27th.
cashier and packer
N. Oracle Rd, Tucson AZ, Albertsons. 05/23/2017 7:30 am
Cashier No. 2 or 3
I'm a regular customer for Fry's. But this morning, I decided to try Albertsons because they have better products (not necessarily more selections than Fry's). The shopping was fine. The store was not crowded.
When I got to the cashier and packer, they did not say hello, good morning, hi, or anything. They kept talking about how to fix the cashier's broken nail. They didn't even say thank you when I leave, so I said "Thank you", and the packer said "have a nice day" like a robot.
My wish. Give them a better employee training!
This is the typical way you lose potential customers. I've decided not to use Albertsons but go back to Fry's. Too bad, too sad. I went in the morning. It made my day really unpleasant.
check and check out
At albertson's tonight and one line had six people to check out in one line and the other the only second cashier there had five people on the manager was on that line sandra our cashier have the six people i ask her about the three people calling for back up and she said there was nobody else on that could help so we had to wait in line for a long time just to get our meat for dinner tonight and sandra is not very nice because i ask her if my card put my rewards on it she goes i don't know i can't tell this was the marietta albertson's on cal oaks road tonight approximately 45 minutes ago and sandrea was also explained it to the customers that she had a long day and was tired and i also need to talk to somebody about my rewards card because i have two different phone numbers with two different cards and i need to combine them into one my phone number is [protected]
Just so you know, you didn't send Albertsons your phone number; you sent it to everyone who accesses this website.
cashier/checker
We recently have moved to the area and were stoked to have found our favorite grocery store - Albertsons. Unfortunately, the checker that we have tried to avoid the last five times that we have been there has been only one of two checkers available. This checker, Allison had been more than rude and unprofessional to the point that I do not want to shop here anymore. She slams or throws the dividers down and then she will not let us enter our gas rewards points. We need the discount on gas for sure.
unlawful business practice: pervasive consumer fraud
Robert gerald miller
Ceo
Albertsons
Dear mr. Miller:
As a montanan, having witnessed the sale of albertson's and the ensuing unlawful and pervasive consumer fraud perpetrated on montanan consumers, I have requested the office of the governor intervene and request an audit of your business practices.
For 12 months, I have been tracking albertson's advertised prices distributed through the billings gazette, in flyers located in its stores and prices on the shelves. Consistently at checkout, your centralized computer system has wrong, higher prices. 90% of the time. I believe this fraudulent activity is not by accident but by design.
My hope is that you receive the justice you so richly deserve and that fines and prosecution will ensue.
I am disgusted with your deceptive, false advertising and the absence of governance in your slimy organization.
Sincerely,
Colleen bradley

I went to your Baton Rouge store on Airline Hwy Saturday night. It was shortly before closing and the door was open. I selected a few purchases and went up front to pay. The woman at the counter told me they were closed and she "did not have to check me out." She told me she'd tried to get my attention so I could pay but that I'd looked at her and ignored her. I did hear someone call out, "ma'am!" and had looked around and didn't see anyone and had no idea it was meant for me as there were two employees and two other customers at the front of the store. So, clearly she saw me though and didn't care that I was going to try to buy something and closed down the registers anyway. I put my items down and tried to leave but the door was locked so I had to go back and ask this same woman to let me out. She made me go out through the opposite doors from where I'd parked and entered the store. Then I asked for security to walk me to my car since I would have to go all the way around the building to get back to my car and she just shook her head and kept walking. There were still two people standing inside with grocery bags, I guess she didn't mind checking them out although I wasn't allowed to make my purchases. I am SO angry over this rude treatment! I will never be shopping in your stores again.
cashier attitude
There are two grocery stores at which I shop. One is "New Seasons." The other is an Albertsons which is ten miles from where I live. I go there because I usually am very happy with the cashiers and the service they provide. I know three by name and they know me.
Today I stopped there to pick up some toilet paper and then also decided to buy a "Twisted Tea" beverage from the beer department.
I went to the express lane, as I only had two items. The "Twisted Tea" was quite dented both on the top and bottom of the can.
I asked if I could possibly have a discount. The can was the last one available and was so dented it was going to be difficult to even drink out of, but nonetheless I did still want to purchase it.
The cashier, Allison, said she didn't know if there was a discount because it was an alcohol product and then said asked me about fifty cents. I asked for a bit more, as I felt that it should be about fifty percent off, but I was very polite in asking.
Then she said because it's alcohol she didn't think there was a discount. I said OK. She then called a supervisor over to check on the situation.
He said the same thing about the alcohol. He then said he was going to check to see if there was a newer can. I told him it was OK, as I was sure it was the last one there.
Out of politeness, he went to check anyway. At this point the cashier seemed agitated and hid herself from my view just behind a vertical pole so I couldn't see her face or talk to her.
The next customer in line then said, to the cashier... chuckling.. "Did she break it?, " meaning me.
At this point I was definitely feeling this whole thing was definitely being put way out of proportion.
I told Allison that I'm happy to do whatever would help speed up the line, again being very polite.
She told me, in a frustrated tone, that what I was doing was certainly not speeding things up.
I wasn't trying to cause any trouble whatsoever. She was making me feel humilated. Her interaction with the customer was also uncalled for.
The supervisor came back and said there were no other cans. I thanked him. Allison then set the can aside and rang up the toilet paper.
I told her no, that I did still want the "Twisted Tea." She seemed to be flustered, as if I were trying to bother her, then rang it up.
I then went to customer service and asked for a form or card to fill out relative to customer service. Although the woman was very polite and did give me a two dollar refund, this was no longer about the refund. She pretty much insisted that I report the incident to her right there despite my hesitation to do so.
I'm pretty sure that Allison is never going to hear anything about this, which is my main complaint. She should not be treating a customer in such a condescending manner.
This makes me feel like I don't want to come back to your store, other than to patronize your wonderful pharmacy.
The time of checking out was 3pm and it was register number 6.
I'm not sure if this got sent, but here it is. Thanks for your time.
Ann ☺️
meat department
Just shopped at albertsons store, off of scott rd. And antelope rd., in menifee, ca. I saw an ad for rib eye roasts. I selected a 4 rib roast for a little over $38.00. I noticed a sign in the meat counter saying.. We will trim your meat, thick or slim. So I asked the employee to cut the roast into 2" cuts. She informed me she couldn't cut a roast. I showed her the sign, right in front of her, and she told me they don't do it. We'll, I left and traveled 3 miles to stater brothers, where they cut the roast and seasoned it for me... For free.
cashier/customer service
On may 11 2017 at 18:43 I paid the cashier for the items I purchased, because I used my Debit card I asked for money back, $60.00, the cashier was distracted talking to the men behind me, and I was a little annoyed about it but what can you do right? When I got to my car and started driving home I realized the cashier didn't give me the $60.00 money back, I checked the receipt and the charged was made to my card, so I went back to the store to get my money, the cashier said I don't remember not giving you the money, to what I responded, don't you supposed to initial the receipt as a mark that you handed the cash back, she responded, I sometimes forget to do it, but you have to wait until tomorrow after the book keeper looks at my drawer, you have to call to this number, and if the count is off then will see.
And she kept helping the customers in the line. I asked her that if there was another way to solve it and she said you have to wait. I said can you at least have the book keeper call me to tell me when to pick up my money?
Not only she didn't call the manager but she ignored my situation finishing my needs, I used to work on a grocery store, in a situation like this my cashier's would have call me(the manager or Assistant manager) to close the drawer and tally the money, that's what any store with good customer service would do for their customers, but no Albertsons Temecula.
I knew I could make that lousy cashier (Lani B.) To call the manager and have that taken care of, but if the way the cashier acted is any indicator on how the store works, I didn't want to loose any more time.
But what really gets me is that cashier could have do it on purpose, by sending me away, she would have the time to take the $60.00 off the register put it in her pocket and tomorrow the book keeper wouldn't find any extra money on the register.
Anyway you look at it bad customer service is obvious the situation, after I walked away from the store without my $60.00 dollars I had to use the ATM machine inside the store to get the $60.00 cash I needed, but because it wasn't my bank, it charged me $3.50 + $3.00 from my bank in fees for using an ATM non pertaining to my bank.
So now not only Albertsons Temecula made me waste time but mine as well just because of their poor customer service.
I do not want to waste more time, all I want is my Money and the reimbursement of the fees Incurred because of a lousy cashier.
checkers
I was just at the Mountlake Terrace Albertsons, just wanted to buy a few things to add to my dinner. The check out lines were all halfway to the back of the store, the fast check only had two check outs open, and three regular check outs open. This is not the first time this has happened. The hours from 5 to 7 pm are a nightmare. It is not fair to the staff. They need more checkers. I left my full cart, did not want to wait 45 min to get checked out. I have been shopping at this store since it opened and since Safeway and Albertsons joined service has gone down hill. I quit shopping Safeway for this same reason. Guess I will just go to Winco. At least they have the self check outs and you can get in and out of the store quicker.
consistent lack of cashiers
Well this last month I have come in to the Albertsons in Murrieta, CA 92562 and there has been very low coverage consistently. Also, I have spoken to quite a few team members and apperently the hours have been cut and you have been having people from other departments check out preventing them from doing their job. That is unacceptable for a corporation of your size. Your saving grace is your associates and their excellent customer service and their strength under pressure. As a manager my self understand cost of business, but your going to cost your self more if you do not address this concern. The only reason I continue to go is because of the associates that I have come to appreciate them and see the labor conditions they are under. As a customer, please address this issue.
floral department manager
I talked to a employee of the Mountain Home floral department if the manager could get in a lemon-lime photos and she took my name and phone number and was going to have the manager call me, well three weeks later and no call from the manager I buy a lot of flowers from albertsons but I will buy my flowers else where from now on, this is the only time I have had trouble with albertsons store, Not happy about it.
fresh made spicy guacamole
I purchased the fresh made spicy guacamole and I couldn't eat more than 2 bites as it tasted absolutely disgusting. I've previously purchased this product from Albertson's and it usually tastes great, but this time it was not good at all. I assume it was simply not made correctly this one time, but it made it inedible. I'd greatly appreciate if I could be contacted regarding this disappointment
afeway coupon app
So I spent 30 extra minutes walking around Safeway wasting time trying to get the APP working. If you are going to have an APP that is the only way to submit and track coupons, how about maybe having wifi that works in your store. Also, using that APP was difficult, time consuming and not user friendly . The cashier had to painstakingly show me how to use the app while her line kept building up. You might want to rethink how your technology works.
long lines at checkout
Ever since Albertsons got rid of the self-checkout lanes, the checkout lines for the express lanes have been out of control. Please bring back the self-checkout.
I recall that Albertsons' goal is to keep lines less than three customers deep. This morning, the line was 8 customers deep in the express lane, and 5 customers deep in the regular lanes. I implore you to bring back the self-checkout lanes.
the pharmacy
I went into the pharmacy to pick up my two prescriptions and I have a prescription stamp card and after I paid for them she placed the one stamp on my card I informed her that it was for every prescription and not for every time you visited with another script this is what I was told when I received this. So I just knew that I would receive 2 stamps instead of just one, not happy at all . The very first time I transfered to this pharmacy I was suppose to get a 25.oo gift card and when I told the pharmacist she said you have to spend a ceryain amount and I found that not to be true. I had to go back to the store after speaking to someone else there and picked up the gift card such an inconvenience for me and now this again. I went to the pharmacy store # 0218 in Shreveport La. I hope this does not happen again.
customer service
First off, I had previously decided to just forget about the initial issues that I had with stores in Yakima, WA on Monday, April 10, 2017, and had no intention of submitting any sort of complaint. My experience at the Safeway store in Toppenish, WA, today, April 12, 2017, caused me to change my mind.
I began my mini-odyssey in purchasing a money order by arriving at the Safeway store on S. First Street in Yakima at approximately 5:30 p.m. on April 10, 2017. I entered the store and located the customer service booth. I stood in line behind two other customers. I waited approximately 10-12 minutes for the other customers to finish their business with lottery tickets. Once I arrived at the front of the line I requested to purchase a money order.
The woman at the register began the transaction, took my money, and then began the process of creating a money order for me. In the process, it was discovered that the money order printer would not work. The woman at the register did not know how to address the issue, so she found another employee to help her. He did not know either. I asked to get a refund of my money so that I could explore other options in purchasing a money order. Initially, I was told that I could not be refunded, but shortly later I received the money that I had paid.
I next drove across town to another Safeway location, this one on 5th Avenue. I arrived there, located the customer service booth, and waited behind one customer in line. After a few minutes, I was at the counter. I spoke with the man, asking whether the money order printer was working. He assured me that it was and I proceeded to tell him about my experience at the First Street Safeway. I then paid for the money order and awaited it to be printed. The man behind the counter chuckled and said to me that I was having bad luck today... the printer at that store was out of paper. I requested a refund and it was given to me.
Next, I made my way approximately 1.5 to 2 miles further across town. I arrived at the Albertsons at 16th and Lincoln. I went into the store and located the customer service booth. Another customer was waiting at the counter, but there was no one there to help either him or I. A man came out of an adjacent office, made a cursory remark about someone being on their way to offer help, and then he strode off across the store. I asked for a cashier to request help at the booth and she made a request over the PA system. I waited approximately 5 minutes and left in disgust when it appeared that there would be no one arriving to serve myself or the other customer at the booth.
I finally was able to make a purchase of the money order I had sought at a competitor's store, the Fred Meyer on 40th and Fruitvale.
Now, today, I arrived at the Safeway in Toppenish, WA. I went to purchase a bowl of soup, but there were no medium-sized bowls available. I approached the counter at the deli to ask whether there were any of those bowls available. Two of the several employees behind the counter were arguing with each other. About what, I have no idea. I made eye contact with another employee and it seemed she tried to get the two that were arguing to stop, but they persisted. No one came to the counter to serve me, so after 2-3 minutes I once again left the store in disgust. I am very near to discontinuing the relationship that I have had with Safeway for nearly my entire life. I grew up shopping at a Safeway in Spokane, at Mission and Hamilton. I really can't recall ever having such a string of disappointments with the same business.
front end supervisors
So I am A Courtesy Clerk with Albertsons In Emmett Idaho. My name is David But I wish to Remain Absolutely Anonymous. My Supervisor Taunya Mcchesney yells at Us (Courtesy Clerks) Constantly In Front of Customers. We Are Afraid to even Ask a Simple Question as it Typically Results in Yelling from her. Everyone on the Front end Walks on Egg shells around her. We believe she has a Biased Hate for Males as the Female Courtesy Clerks "Do no Wrong". IDon't Believe she is Fit to be Front End Manager anymore (If she ever was). I really want this to be Anonymous because I'm Sure it could cost me my Job. Also Lisa Brunson (Assistant Front End Manager) is Constantly Leaving Early or "Counting the Safe". We all Know she's just Lounging around in the Front Office Not wanting to do any Work. We Need some Changes In this Store. I would leave a Specific Date of Occurrence but It happens all the time.
