albertsons worker stunk of cigarette
Few days ago I was shopping at Albertsons in Hobbs New Mexico. I was in produce section looking to buy some fruit and vegetables trays. A lady came out with some trays from the back . When she got next to me I could smell the stinch of cigarette smoke of off her. To think she fixes those trays like that made me change my mind. Her being there is health hazard. I looked through the door just curious to see what it looked like inside and all I saw was her yelling at the workers in there while she just stood there. I did get her name it's Jimmie Sue. This is not the first time either just didn't want to say. Thank you.
shopping carts
I am a long time customer and every week that I shop I am thoroughly disgusted. The shopping carts are extremely filthy. It is not a hit and miss every single cart is filthy. The store really needs to clean them or buy new ones. They also need to make a space inside the store instead of keeping them outside. Its extremely disgusting that we have to put the food we eat in these carts. Please, please clean them or purchase new ones and keep them inside the store.
susan, front end manager
I would like to make an official complaint against the front end manager Susan at the store on Wadley and Midland Drive in Midland Texas. My son put in his application to work there and he called to check on it, when Susan answered the phone she told him to come in at 3:30 PM on June 15 to see about a job. This is his first time ever doing a job application and he went to the wrong store by mistake when he called to tell her that he was at the wrong store and he was on his way to the right store the person on the phone told him that she had already left for the day at 4 PM. I told him not to panic to call her in the morning tell her about his mistake and see if he can reschedule it was not a big deal but when he called she was extremely hateful to him and told him right away that the position had been filled and hung up on him. I hope she knows that just because he's a kid, doesn't mean he's any less of a human being and she cannot treat people that way. Especially over a simple mistake. I am glad he is not going to work there now because I would hate to see what he did if he did make a mistake on her clock, she is probably a horrible manager, in my opinion and it's a professional opinion at that. I have worked retail management all my life and I would never treat someone like that not even a kid. If this is how you are going to let someone run your front end I would probably assume that you have a high turnover rate? well there's your problem. We will never be back in your store and I will never advise anybody to go to your store ever again. Thank you very much Albertson's market for making my sons first time trying to obtain a job a horrible experience for him.
sushi bar
I want to start by saying I used to buy sushi from Albertsons in Weatherford, TX at least twice a week. This occurred a couple of months ago and I haven't bought sushi since. My wife and I were at Albertsons in Weatherford and my wife had to use the bathroom. When she came out she walked up to me in the produce section and told me one of the sushi chefs was in the bathroom using it and did not wash her hands when she was done. I cannot express to you how sick this made me.
rewards system
I am on vacation out of town and the closet grocery store to our vacation home is an Albertsons. I normally do not shop at Albertsons and I'm unfamiliar with the rewards systems. Like most stores, I thought I could simply reap the benefits by putting in a phone number. When the cashier asked if I had the app for savings, I replied I did not. I asked if that was the only way I could save money and she replied, "yes." Seeing as the line behind me was 5 people deep, and the cashier seemed impatient with my lack of preparation or knowledge, I asked again, is there a way to sign up quickly or anything else I can do? She replied, "no." I embarrassingly and frustratingly paid the price for the items to quit holding up the line. I was sickened by the amount of my bill and frustrated that my lack of information regarding the rewards system excluded me from savings. I am not happy with my time spent at Albertsons.
lost purchase at checkout, I got home and meat was not in bag,
I purchased a large family pack of Petiete sirloins and when I got home it wasnt in the bags.I wen't back to the store and talked to the checker Billi she sent me to the manager Miranda I told Miranda my stuff was missing and the manager Miranda pretty much told me it was to BAD .When I left the store the cashier was looking at me so I threw the receipt on the floor and walked out.I spend at least $7, 000.00 a year in your store.I wont be back
this is it?
mold
I just love this store I shop here all the time! But I went for my weekly visit for milk and eggs awhile back I looked up on the ceiling and there was mold! I informed a manager about it and he explained they are in the process of trying to fix it. Again today I went in for some of my groceries and the mold has still not been taken care of. It has been almost 4 months I find this very unsanitary since you sell "fresh food". As well on my visit I almost slipped and fell bc there was so much water seeping up through tiles and the tiles were just peeling away! I can not believe a company would choose to leave their store this way!
deli dept
We purchase 1 lb of black forest ham and 1 lb of either swiss or provolone cheese weekly. This week (June 7, 2017) our deli (on Isleta blvd in Albuquerque) informed us they have changed all their deli meats to Deitz and Watson. This means we have no choice on buying on sale, unless Deitz and Watson (which is normally $10.99 per lb) is on sale...and it wasnt.
Why? I asked the deli lady why this was happening and her reply was Dietz and Watson is "better quality" I said no joke, it ought to be for $10.99 a lb.,
If you have no plans to offer your customers a choice, then I have no choice but to go to Smiths or Wal Mart, where I have a choice in my deli meats.
inventories in store
Albertsons on Mt.Vernon on Bakersfield California used to be my store of choice, but the Vons/Safeway merger I am rethinking my preferences. The store has gone in quality of inventory but increased in prices. I just st finhished stopping and spent over $150 for a trip to store. My weekly shopping has jumped to $400 to $500 a week for a family TWO! I don't mind the prices jump if I could find my brands or merchandise of choice. At 6:30 this morning on a Tuesday, most of the produce I wanted wasn't "available", stockers blocking aisles, and Albertsons has become a Vons/Safeway outlet.
I wrote my congressman telling him the competition among grocery chains is being reduced. My personal solution is buying from Amazon, Trader Joe, and Smart 'n' Final. Even Vallarta, a Mexican chain grocery store, has superior produce now.
customer service
I've been a albertsons customer for about 4 years now and till this day I had a problem not only with the cashier at the front but the manager that was called upon my transaction and question. They both acted Poorly, rude and racists. I left the store furiously without my groceries. These employees in which where white need to learn how to approach people of the same color or not nicely. Listen carefully to the question being asked. I hope this situation never happens again. Also speed up the process in the line instead of casually speaking with every damn customer they come across.
overcharged for product and did not honor coupon policy
I have been a long time Albertonsons customer and an avid couponer. I have never had an issue couponing at your store until today. I was attempting to use an Albertsons ad coupon for huggies diapers that was printed in the weelky circular and a huggies manufacturer coupon I printed from www.coupons.com. When I presented the coupons to the cashier, she refused the Albertsons coupon saying it wasn't valid because it also had a "Lucky" store logo. I told her it was from the current ad and I can grab one to show her. She reluctantly accepted the coupon and when I gave her the manufacturer coupon for the same item she said she can only take one coupon. I told her what the store policy was regarding couponing where you can stack a store coupon with a manufacture coupon. She walked away to ask the manager on duty, Ashley who said they can only accept one coupon but pushed a discount through on the register. I told her she didn't do it correctly and the total is incorrect and that it was more than it was suppose to be. She became agitated and said she already gave me a discount. I was tired dealing with the cashier and realized a long line forming behind me. I was embarassed and made to feel like a fool by how I was treated by the cashier and her attitude so I left. I'll have to make another trip to the store just the item because I was overcharged for it. I'm so upset and disappointed by your employee and manager failing to follow your policy. I woulfd like a resolution regarding this issue.
Regards,

service deli
I order this morning 50 pieces of fried chicken to pick up at 6pm today because I had a surprise party at 6.30, when I arrived the chicken. Was not fried! The guy Joshua told me is not ready because they had too many request that day, and he say in 10 minutes will be ready, I went to pay the bill and then come back and I wait 19 minutes for he chicken, I went out of Albertson at 6.45, means I was. It present during the surprise party of my mother. I'm very disappointed encause I always order chicken with Albertson and this is the first time my order was not ready on time. The employee Joshua try to compense that with extra chicken and Hawaiian roll, which I didn't accept. Encause I was so upset. I want to express my complaint because Albertson was my best store, now I don't think the same!
grocery shelves always empty and not stocked/very poor veggies and fruit
I have always been a customer of Albertsons my entire life. I am complaining about the Albertsons at Zia Rd. and St. Francis Dr. in Santa Fe, NM.
For the past year the vegetables, fruit, meat wrapping have been unacceptable. The vegetable and fruit are not fresh and appealing. Mostly the seem out dated, old and rancid. The grocery shelves are not kept fully stocked and products are not being replaced and or ordered. The store is so disgusting I am tempted to shop at another grocery store. The is not acceptable to loyal customers. I don't know who the manager is but they are certainly not managing the store. It's a mess. Today, a woman behind me was angered by the long check out lines and the clerk never asked for more assistance. The woman said " this store is going to hell". I totally agree with her. Please see that this disaster is corrected before you have no customers.

service
5/30/2017 and 5/31/17
Facts of the matter- went ot the store to cash my Monopoly game piece. Girl said I needed to go to customer service desk but it was closed (shortly before 9:00 p.m. in a store that closes at midnight)
Then was told they'd be there in "a minute" Stood there waiting. Some guy came buy looked at my coupon and handed it back to me. Then left me. Ten minutes latter I asked them if they were just going to ignore it.
Cashier says "I'm busy"- like I'm supposed to wait until everyone in the store cashes out.
Called the corporate office. They said they'd get back to me. Baloney. They didn't call don't intend to call either. Just put you on hold for half an hour
You wouldn't have been able to cash in on 5/31, the game was already over & the customer service desks close between 8 & 9 pm depending on the store (most close as 9 but a few in the DFW area close at 8 & at least one closes at 8:30). But did you mention you had a Monopoly prize to claim that had to be cashed in by the end of 5/30? Because if you did even if the customer service department was closed a manager should have taken care of it. I know that because when I was getting tickets at Tom Thumb and they mentioned that prizes needed to be claimed by the end of 5/30 I actually pointed out that shouldn't they be saying by 9 pm since that's when the customer service department closes and they said, "No, a manager can do it if customer service is closed & they're here until midnight when we close & that's when the game ends."
customer service
Jose B. by far the WORST cashier I've ever had here. I've been coming to this Albertsons over 5-6 years. I've never had a problem with anyone one else here. He was so rude. Didn't say hello, goodbye or even look at us. Instead, he decided to talk to the customer behind us about cocaine! This isn't even the first time we've had him; multiple times he's done this where he ignores us and is extremely rude. Hope someone talks to him or he gets a job he actually likes so won't look so miserable.
pricing and cashier response
This is a follow p to the survey i submitted on 5/19. It seems these are in heory only a true concern of albertsons. I purchased 6 items that were on sale(Had been for 3 days). Reg price $4 each sale 2 /$5 at the register they came up as $4 each, i informed the cashier of the sale price-he immediately walked to an endcap that had some of these items returned and told me he thought the sale price was for a different product. I told him they were all in the freezer priced on sale also. He then proceeded to the freezer dept to confirm. Finally he returns and has to call a mgr to over ride his entry. Now we are at 10-12 minutes to check out of the quick check out. Hmmmm! Leaving out the frustration i experienced i really wonder how many unsuspecting customers paid the regular price. 3 days and not showing up at the cash register as a sale-wow. I have not been notified by the store mgr(Director) brian limones as of today. Doesn't seem you store really cares enough to contact a concerned customer.in frustration, richard baker

albertsons on central in billings mt
The Albertsons on Central in Billings Montana ALWAYS serves stale gross sushi... I've bought it a couple times in hope of it being fresher (especially since I purchased it in the beginning of the morning).. if it's going to be stale and old please either post the date it was made on the box.. or just stop selling it.. I am tired of wasting my money and ending up having to throw it away.
unethical behaviour
I work at Albertsons. I just recently started as my first job. since I have been working for starters no one follows the policies that I read in the handbook I was given to read. at the Albertsons I work at they have a chart of who is supposed to be returning carts at what time, I have carts till 10-2 (according to the chart) I did carts till 2:30 though...

About two weeks ago a new albertsons was opened, I have gone 5 times and they have all been horrible experiences, I have been going to albertsons for years but after today I'm done, 30 minutes in line waiting for a product check for another person in front of me, after 30 minutes I left to the 711 in the corner, two minutes after the person waiting for the price check appears at the 711 too, he got mad as well and left. He never got the price for the item he was purchasing, it was never in the system
