But, get this, it ended up being SIX WHOLE MONTHS before they even thought about delivering it. And even then, they couldn't give me a solid answer on when it would actually arrive. That's when I received the shocking news that the table had been discontinued and our order had been cancelled. I was grateful that I had called, as I would have never known otherwise.
All Modern refunded the US amount, but it came up short by $140.96 Canadian. It was frustrating to realize that we had essentially paid All Modern a large sum of money for a table that never even existed. It took them six months to tell us that the table was discontinued, and we were left with nothing to show for it.
I caution anyone who is considering purchasing from All Modern to be careful. We are still dealing with them and trying to get reimbursed for the missing amount. It's been a frustrating and disappointing experience, and I hope that others can learn from our mistake.
Impressive Customer Service from AllModern for Newport Upholstered Bed Order
I just got the Newport Upholstered bed in queen size from AllModern for the guest bedroom in our brand new home. When I was checking out, I updated our address since we just moved across the country. But it looks like it didn't save. I've ordered from Wayfair and Joss & Main before, and since they're all connected, they must have defaulted to my old address. I got a text message saying that my order was on its way, and when I checked the tracking, I saw that it was going to my old address. I contacted AllModern right away and explained the situation. They tried to stop the delivery through Fedex, but it didn't work. The bed was delivered to my old address a few hours later. But AllModern was really quick to send me another Newport Bed to my new address. They told me not to worry about the one that was delivered to the wrong address, and they fixed the problem right away. I can't say enough good things about the customer service I got from AllModern. I called them twice about this issue, and they were so helpful and kind. I'm really impressed with how they handled everything. It makes me want to shop with them even more, and I definitely will.

Unfortunately, they could not provide me with an ETA.
While this was frustrating, it was not the main issue. The real problem was that they had processed my card on the date of purchase, June 24th. Due to the issues I had experienced, I no longer wanted the lamp and requested a return. However, they refused to allow me to return it, so I filed a dispute. To my surprise, they charged my card again on July 20th and July 26th for the same charge without my permission. I had only made one purchase from them on June 24th, and they processed the same charge three times without my consent.
I immediately contacted my credit card company to dispute all of the charges. When I called Allmodern.com to inquire about the unauthorized charges, the customer service representative, Nanette, was unable to provide me with an explanation. She simply said that she was confused about the charges and that since there was a dispute, there was nothing she could do to help me. She advised me to contact my credit card company instead.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Allmodern.com. Their customer service was unhelpful, and their billing practices were shady. I would not recommend this company to anyone and will not be making any future purchases from them.

I called AllModern customer service and sent them pictures of the rug and the order number. They apologized and sent me the same one for free. It took a few days to arrive at my post office, and I immediately upgraded the shipping for $100 of my money and sent it straight to my Mom in Europe.
When the rug arrived in January 2016, it was ANOTHER HALF SHAPE ROSE RUG! (Can you believe it?) I called AGAIN and asked to speak to the supervisor. After I explained my situation and their multiple mistakes, the lady said that their website had the wrong images of the rug. There were about 5 of them in different colors. She said it was supposed to be a "Half moon" instead of the "Full moon" rose, and that the website had the wrong images and descriptions.
I just asked for a return of my $99.99, and I will never ever purchase another item from this company again. Please be careful with this website, apparently they want you to have only half of your expectation. I was confused - the alternate credit card I gave them was under my name, my address, and through a US bank. How could it be a security issue if the destination of the refund was known?
As a result, the representative I spoke with made the executive decision to refund the difference to my expired gift card without my approval. The other alternative was store credit, which ultimately didn't help me because I had no intention of ordering from this company again. However, at least I would have access to the store credit, unlike the expired gift card they refunded the amount to.
This incident made me realize that Allmodern functions on their own terms and doesn't prioritize customer satisfaction. After expressing my frustration to the billing representative, he finally agreed to "try" to issue me store credit. It was disappointing to see that such a large, resourceful company had no other means of returning my money to me (such as a check or money order).
Overall, I will never deal with Allmodern again. Their unreliable system and lack of customer service has left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

STAY AWAY
I ordered a coffee table from Allmodern, but for the purpose of this review, the product doesn't matter.
After 2 weeks of my order, I kept seeing "in transit" when I tracked it. Figuring something was up I called them, and lone and behold, Allmodern lost the item in transit, and decided to issue me another new order. Soon after, they relocated the order, and cancelled the new order. If I had not followed up on my order, it would've been forever lost in cyberspace! Is there no avenue on their end to follow up on orders placed?
What I learned from that incident was the UNRELIABILITY of this company.
So I'm waiting for the order now, and anticipating it to be delivered within 2 weeks. What happens next? Yet another order that has been lost! A SECOND time! And now it is unable to be located so they issue me a completely new order!
The only saving grace this time is that there apparently was a drop in price of the product and they were going to issue me a refund of the difference. The problem was that I had initially purchased the table with a gift card, which has since expired. I had requested that the refund be issued onto another personal credit credit, which they agreed.
What did I learn from this? Again, that Allmodern's system is UNRELIABLE.
I receive an email few days later stating that they could not issue a refund to a credit card not previously used on the order, and stated that it was due to "security reasons," reasons they could not elaborate on. The alternate credit card I gave them is under MY name, under MY address, and through a US bank - how is it a security issue if the destination of the refund is known?
As a result, Allmodern (representative Amber B.) made the executive decision of refunding the difference to my expired gift card without contacting me for approval! The other alternative of refund was store credit (which ultimately doesn't help me because I do NOT plan on coming back to this company for orders), but store credit I could at least have access to, versus the EXPIRED gift card they refunded the amount to!
What did I learn from this incident - that Allmodern functions on their own terms!
After fuming at the billing representative, he finally agreed to "try" to issue me store credit. Apparently such a large, resourceful company has NO OTHER MEANS of returning MY money back to MYSELF (ie. Check, money order, etc).
Time will only tell if the store credit actually comes to me, for the aforementioned conclusions made regarding the company.
I will NEVER deal with this company again.
Disappointed with Allmodern's Pricing and Customer Service
I recently made a purchase from Allmodern and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed with my experience. Was in stock when I ordered.
So, On July 2nd I order a sectional. Money was taken from my account almost immediately. Email from the company says it takes time to setup freight etc and expected ship date is 7/18. I am ok with that, my wife really wants this sectional and we can wait. On the day it is to be delivered, we get an email that it is very popular and not in stock. Shipment has been delayed until 8/26. WHAT? It was in stock when I ordered it and money was exchanged. The I wait 17 days to find out it is delayed another month and a half. This is purely unacceptable. I will never shop with this company again.
Could be better
It all started in October, when I accidentally found Allmodern and decided to give it a try. They had that lovely flower shaped rug for $100. I made an order, the shipping was pretty fast, within a few days I received the rug. But when I opened the package I was extremely disappointed because it was a half shaped! So only half of the flower! I immediately contacted customer service. They apologized and sent me the same rug for free. It was another half shape flower rug! So I called them and was told that their website has the wrong images and descriptions of the Rug. So I sent everything back to them and received my refund. These people should upgrade their website! I will never order anything from Allmodern again.
