I received an email on October 1, 2022 at 6:17am from Ally stating "Your vehicle payment was successful." Payment: received 9/30/22, with a Confirmation Number.
I received another email October 13, 2022 at 3:44am stating "Your vehicle payment scheduled 9/30/22 was returned"
Being on a budget, once I saw the payment was received, what was in the account then became disposable/savings.
Now I'm the hook for a missed payment affecting my credit, late fees, and a double payment at the end of October to make up for the mistake on Ally's part; I'm finding out 2 weeks after I thought the payment was made.
I don't know how I can receive the first email stating the payment was received WITH a Confirmation Number and not fully believe that my payment was made. Now I am the one being penalized for this bad business practice and Ally walks away with a little extra cash, a knock to my credit score, and no other consequences.
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate some sort of rectification for this mistake on Ally's part. At the very least just push the payment to the end of the note instead of forcing me to pay a double note this close the Holidays.
Online banking
When an online account is opened it is not explained that the is a 90 day period that you can not make purchases of over $500 dollars a day. I contacted customer service, they claim there is nothing that can be done because it is their anti fraud protocol. They claim there is nobody that can make a change. Meanwhile I'm 800 miles from home and can't pay for a hotel even though I have money in my account. I am not a minor and do not need supervision with my own money.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a call from someone that can make the change to my account to allow me to spend my own money how I choose.
Ally invest and... Ally robo invest and... Ally wealth management, and ally, self, directed trading.
All categories are horrible... All of these good reviews are fake.
1... I am a writer of non scams and scams. And horrible servicing. I was hoping to god that this invest side of this ally company would be very very good and consistantly so. Since they hold my car loan. This division of invest is super horrible. Worse then coin base and pay pal and worse then xexotrade.com. They have a horrible self directed trading platform. Were the platform never gets you close to a buy market or sell market order. And the invest side with their semi robot trading and investing side. Is horrible. They tell you initially over the phone. That it will be managed and rebalanced constantly. Then another rep tells you over the phone that that is essentially [censored] and just a selling point. To the point that when we are in the newest overall world down turn in the market. These clowns from hell. Have their aggressive and regular results to their robo system down by get this 11.3%... You mean to tell me that you could not rebalance to find any funds that were breaking even or not losing money. Its all a conspiracy and what is their goal. To go about of business fast. And the seek a bail out from our totally evil government since bush jr took office in 2001. That seems to be their goal. I already started a dispute with the dispute department of my bank. To get my full initial principal money back. On top of this. I had an advisory appt set up for today with one of their reps to get me going in the wealth management system. Because their phone reps told me that I could get a better return then the non aggressive robo system. Then they close down my robo account and do not allow the zoom wealth rep to see me at the zoom meeting. They say now I can only withdraw and sell out of my money that is off by $89.00 anyway. Seems like a total intentional scam going on for some weird freaky goal, probably to get all the bail out money from the government as usual with all of these investment companies since 2001. The new world order and illumanati at work here. Destroy the entire u.S. Economy for masochistic reasons. Fate accomplished. They should all be in prison for the rest of their lives with no chance of parole. And there is tons of other on line complaints about this ally invest side. And I have had similar experiences with all investment companies. All of them are now intent at demonic evil against themselves and against all of us. This country is in complete financial hell from a demension that has never been seen before. And I got tons and tons of other evidences about all the rest to. Desired outcome: REFUND my ROBO INVEST money to the FULL prinicipal IN WHICH i first deposited it. AND get me......a make good ON a new line of CREDIT that i never have to pay back TO be placed BACK into THE ROBO account and into the WEALTH management to.
Auto loan
From the beginning of this loan, 2 years ago, I have asked Ally financial for a payment statement. I still haven't received one. I got locked out of my online payment, then was given several " temporary passwords", none of them ever worked. Finally fed up with the antics of Ally financial, 4 months ago I contacted them wishing to part ways, pay them off in full and finance the loan through my bank. I was told, but a few different employees, but they cannot send a payoff state in via email or via US mail. They told me they can only fax the payoff statement. I gave them my bank's fax machine, several employees promised they would fax it, it was never done. I had to refile and get approved for the loan again, only to go through this process again. Finally, 4 months after I originally asked for the payoff statement, I received it in the mail last weekend, but it was dated more than 30 days ago and my bank would not accept it. I called back Ally financial, they told me since I did not make last month's payment, they refuse to send the statement to my bank. It has just been one thing after another with his company. I have never experienced anything like it in my entire life and I hope I never do again.

Failed Retirement Money Transfer
My husband retired a few months ago so all we were trying to do is consolidate our money at Ally Bank. So I sent a request for a direct transfer from his 401(K) to his Traditional IRA account at Ally. They contacted us to verify it was him. Usually something that seems so mundane has been made difficult. My husband has been ill but the IRA agent wanted to speak to him directly. To make matters worse, he is the one who wanted me to take care of all the finances, so he knows we have accounts at Ally but does not know a lot of the specifics like I do. They also CLAIM to have sent some sort of text message code to his cell phone, but it never showed up. I tested it on my cell phone, so I know his text messaging is working fine. Now they locked all of our accounts and we have bills to pay. Social Security makes direct deposits into our accounts, and we won't be able to access it either until Monday or Tuesday now. They have some very poor customer service and offer no flexibility. He was on the phone with them asking and telling them to just talk to me because his sick and on pain medications, but they would not budge and now this. I have a terminally ill husband and a disabled teenager *who also has a custodial account with them ) I am trying to care for and now they have to mess things up over a stupid direct rollover from a 401(k) to a traditional IRA! We now do not feel safe banking with them. Nothing like getting a guard dog only for the dog to attack the people that they invited in the first place.
Desired outcome: We need access to our money for starters to we can pay bills such as RENT. All we also wanted to do is move is 401 retirement money into his traditional IRA. Maybe stop making mundane things difficult would help too.
auto lease/ buyout
while leasing a Ram with Ally has been a nightmare to begin with. I downloaded the app and payed the first payment over the phone and the app never recognized the login info. Around march of 2022 I applied for financial relief, I confirmed 3 month pause in payments due to a leak in the house which resulted in a remodel of the entire kitchen area. At the same time my fiancé was in pain and sorting out a diagnoses and unknown if I would need to help with both medical and renovation bills. 3 months went by with no notice my truck was repossessed for non payment. I had to call to find out where my truck had went and I was told by 2 employees at the call center to get my truck out of repossession I would need to direct wire 1300 to them. I did this and to my shock I had been told the wrong amount which resulted in somehow being transferred to a manager who processed or redeemed the repossession. Despite the facts, Ally kept this on my credit history and when I had enquired about my lease extension I was told I could only choose up to 3 days by the call center but that had been denied. When I called again after waiting on hold for 45 mins I was told I needed to pay a 184$ fee in order for this to happen which the call center once again failed to tell me anything. I was told I would have the extension approved upon payment. When I asked why my truck was repossessed and how the online help feature had disconnected as I had refreshed the browser, evidently that removed my request entirely although they had a chat and call history of everything. The web services and app both stated my account status was payed in full and had nothing about a 3 month lease extension. I than called again for the buy out option and was passed around and on hold as well as disconnected for 5-6 hours straight until I got ahold of a woman that wasn't at the third party call center whom said she would place an email to both managements of the buy out and the credit history stating my issues and that I would receive a call back from both within the same day. That was not done however the repossession was taken off my credit history but the missed payments was not and this phone call took place in JUNE. After attempting to call about the lease buy out and sending direct messages I had been either disconnected or given a number to call that was for a medical tag alert system . I have not had luck getting any contact from them so I decided to go to the dealership. The dealership was able to get ahold of my buyout numbers after the third attempt which had 2 disconnections. This took place on 16 AUG 2022 and still I have not been able to connect with them myself for the buyout and I have not made a payment since JUNE 2022. Not knowing the status of anything I am in limbo between a lease buyout or trade in and no one seems to find any answers to why. With that being said I also looked into their Veterans services and their mission state about them serving veterans in a positive manner I would have to counter that being a veteran myself. This process in 2022 has taken place since march and it is now the end of August.
Desired outcome: correct my credit report/ historyremove the 3 missed/late payments from the time frame from March-June and the final payment on my loan
Check has been clear on account and clear through the bank
My Ford Fusion 2013 was totally loss on July 2, 2022. My insurance Travelers sent Ally the check for $6,178.10 and it has been applied to my account which took 10 for Ally Financial to send Travelers information they needed. After receiving the check from Travelers it took Ally Financial another 10 days to complete the processing of the check. Now that the check has been applied and check is clear. They were supposed to send Gap Insurance/Easy Care information of what they need to process there process their paperwork which is: 1) Loan payment/transaction history showing principle /interest split and running balance 2) Settlement breakdown which matches settlement check amount 3) Copy of insurance settlement check issued to the lender. That took 10 days. I have spoke with Tina, Evita, Alex, Germel etc. When they emailed the documents, its suppose to able to print the email. If they are Password Protect or Encryted they are not going to print out. I am paying 2 car notes. The Ford Fusion has been totally loss since July 2, 2022 and it's now August 15, 2022. I cannot believe the time assuming with this matter.
Desired outcome: Please send GAP Insurance/Easycare information they need to process my claim for GAP Insurance on my Ford Fusion 2013

I have Never in all my life been cursed and yelled at across the phone by a Customer Service employee until now! Absolutely shocked! I was incredibly nice and calm. I only had 1 simple question, which I knew the answer to already, but never hurts to check, and this lady was outrageous! I cannot even write what she said to me because Abusive Language is not acceptable in a review/complaint.
I ended up hanging up after yelling back at her about saying what she did to me. Told my fiancé, I am not ever calling them up again! First man was rude, being mad about my kid crying and now this lady! Holy cow.
Why are the employees so angry/frustrated?!
Desired outcome: I would like an apology, or maybe some decent help to my situation. A little understanding never hurt anyone.

I have been with Ally Bank for over 2 years. Recently the app fails to recognize my device. Thus happens at least once a week. My card is locked and I can not get it unlocked without the app. I have spent hours on the phone mostly on hold. Called today and was disconnected. No one bothered to call back. I was told yesterday that someone from tech would call me within 24 hours. That did not happen. So now I have to pay for everything with my credit cards. I have lost trust in Ally Bank and will be removing my funds from Ally to a competent bank. Maybe Ally should spend some money on upgrading their systems and not so much on advertising, NASCAR, sporting events and things like that. My experience with Ally is the worst bank I have ever been associated with. I am looking for the appropriate time to move to a more reliable bank. Currently my money is being held hostage by Ally bank.
Desired outcome: I don't care what you do. I am leaving your so-called bank to a real bank.
Getting Money out of Ally Bank from a Saving account
I called Ally Bank for a Bank to Bank transfer 6-3-2022 and to this date 7-8-2022 have NOT received the transfer. Ally Bank telephone service is Horrible. Wait time is unbelievable, and promises to complete the transfer are worthless! Ally Bank phone service is worthless! They gave me Transaction transfer #, twice and did NOT deliver. If you call they put you on hold then cut you off. It happened to me 3 times! I told them many times I do not like their internet system and they have NOT given me back MY Money yet! B. Auten. On February 22nd I lost my husband to dementia. Well, he had a loan with Ally that I really couldn't afford because I quit my job and stayed home to take care of him up until he passed away long story short after 3 months ally came and took the car because of nonpayment. Im selling my house as well because I can't afford it either anymore. I spoke with the death dept first on June 6th at 10 am I spoke with a Ceaser then Abraham supposedly I was added to the account okay no problem. on 7/13 I called ally again because I wasn't on the account I was told what to do and what papers to send and to who so I did. so on 7/14 I called and was told they received the paperwork and I was added to the account successfully. I can go pick up my husband's tag. I go they say no. They have nothing with my name on it the only person that can pick up the tag is my husband and I said it's gonna take him a minute cause he's dead! so I call Ally right there and they say I'm not on paperwork or account either. I paid them everything I was behind on and made this month's payment too. back and forth all this time and I'm still not on anything I've been waiting for Ally to either transfer to me or not. I'm on the phone with them right now and I've been on hold for 27 minutes now. Is there a manager a supervisor a CEO I can speak with ? Is this really how people get treated when someone dies?
Desired outcome: I would like the car to be transferred to my name so I can go to work and be able to make next month's payment as well
Ally wont mail or fax lien release to me
I paid off Ally 5-24-22 in full on app. They sent me email stating the lien was released on June 4. Never received the Lien release in the mail so I called them, and the lady told me it was mailed on June 6. Still have not received the release. Looked at emails they stated it was mailed now on 6-15, I am not sure what is going on, but this looks too much like a scamming company. I called today and gave them a fax number and they stated it could take up to 2 business days to receive it, so if it's not received by then I will be hiring an attorney. I have had my vehicle sold since last month and can't get payment until I have a lien release, so this is ridiculous for a company. They also locked me out of the App online, so I don't know what's up with that.

Auto loan
I recently financed a car through ALLY Financial services. I had purchased a 2018 GLA with auto holding46 in New Jersey. Since I bought the car dealership and ally financial started unfair business practices. Now they managed to open another account in my name to make me financially responsible for 33,000 dollars and reported missed payment to the credit bureau on purpose. I believe the reason they did this is as the car dealership has a really bad reputation and is involved in fraud and scams, they decided to open the account and mess my credit so that they will get the huge interest they are charging me. Huge fraud and identity theft. This bank has opened a second auto loan on my behalf. I am not the owner of the account, I even have proof that I only have one car in my current Ally account. Credit bureaus notified me of late payment and when I checked another account was opened by ALLY or the dealership. They stole my identity and social security and wanted to get more money and interest with a new account. We can't let this type of business abuse people and use them, there is a law to protect citizens against bad and immoral people and businesses. It takes a simple investigation to catch a thief so why not businesses that engage in the same practices. Theft is a theft no matter who he is a poor person or a business. I don't understand how these businesses are allowed to operate in the U. S where people feel that integrity and fairness is the motto of this country.

Auto loan
My mom passed away last Aug. She had 2 vehicles on finance, one was through Wells Fargo, one through Ally. After she passed, I reached out to both. Wells Fargo took me 15 min, the lady was very helpful and I was good to go. Ally has been hell. If you call the death dept, it takes an hour at least to get through to them. Took me about 8 tries before finally getting ahold of someone. The person who finally spoke with me acted like I am the bad guy. So after 7 months, I finally received the paperwork to get it resolved. I mailed them everything, then I never heard from them again. Called today, (May 23) I am in collections, when they never mailed/emailed me the login information to pay the loan. Ally is the most frustrating institution I know, avoid them at all costs if you care about your sanity and that of your descendants.

They told me the ABOUT ADDITIONAL INTEREST PAID TO THE IRS, PENALITES FROM THE IRS, OR ANY ADDITIONAL TAX-PREPARATION FEES. I DON'T BELIEVE ANY OF THOSE APPLY TO ME, BECAUSE I FILED MY TAXES AND DID NOT HAVE ANY TAX DEBTS OWNED TO THE IRS.
Desired outcome: I WANT A REFUND IN THE AMOUT OF $5,000 FOR HASSELING ME ABOUT SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T APPLY TO ME!
loan gone wrong
This is regarding an auto loan that began 8/13/2019. My vehicle ended up being totaled out by my insurance company Progressive in 2021. My insurance company made a total payout in June of 2021 for $10,838.95. Ally took this money and instead of applying it as an early payoff which was requested they applied it as a one month payment. I tried to deal with them to refund me the interest charges for an early payout and they refused. I am looking to get a refund for the interest charges and credit me for the final payment due of $94.30. The loan was originally fopr 72 months and was prepaid by 38months upon the total loss of the vehicle.
Desired outcome: Some kind of agreed amount of reimbursement for interest on a loan for a vehicle that was a total loss.
Fraudulent charges
Got this notice from Ally on May 6, 2022: “You’ve made 6 limited transactions from your Money Market Savings Account this statement cycle.” I immediately called Ally and told rep that all the withdrawals totaling over. $15,000 were fraudulent and that I did not authorize any withdrawals. Ally rep set up new account and said all the remaining balance was being transferred to it. The old account was still open on May 12 and I called Ally again and told them a $10 deposit was made that day. Rep told me Ally was handling under their Dispute Number 284979. Rep also said it could 10 days before a decision was made and that he could not determine if my personal info been stolen. I am now unable to see to see the fraudulent withdrawals using the Ally app. Request all the fraudulent charges be immediately credited back to my account and advice whether or not my personal info was stolen.
Desired outcome: Immediate crediting of my account for all fraudulent deductions. Advice as to whether or not my personal info was stolen.
Payment extension online approval vs. Over phone
I spoke to Ally on Apr 8th to request a 2 month extension due to my husband being hospitalized which caused our income to be impacted. Customer services reps are absolutely not helpful - they said my request was denied, but on the portal it's approved with a partial payment of over $500 due today or day of request. The rep couldn't provide a logical explanation as to why online I'm approved vs. denied over phone and why I simply couldn't extend partial payment 4/15. She stated partial payments for extensions are due 10 days after request is submitted - however I explained on the portal it requested payment today and there wasn't an option to change the due date.
I called again on 4/12 and requested to speak to a manager but again, I hit a brick wall when spoke to so-called manager, his response to situation was to check back again on Friday to see if I'm eligible again when I have the funds to make the partial payment. What good is an extension, if I need to make a partial payment when obviously I'm requesting extension because not able to pay. Mind you my payment for April is not even due yet. Oh my! what type of finance company is this and are their business practices even legal? What's the reasoning of being denied over the phone vs. eligible online - the inconsistence practice makes no sense to me what-so-ever. I should get the same option over phone as online and should be provided with a logical explanation on what the difference is for approval online vs. over phone. I pray I get out of this micky mouse loan with Ally as quick as possible - I'm working on refinancing or paying off. Ridiculous customer service and seriously I don't think anyone knows what they're talking about - who's servicing this and from what country? I'm in disbelief and filing a complaint with BBB.
Desired outcome: Extension be honored over phone and allow to select partial payment due date for reasonable amount of time.

Same here, only been with them 2 months and both months they submitted payment multiple times to my back accruing insufficient funds fees when funds were available and successfully processed the first time. Called twice after first incident, assured rectified by heavy middle eastern cust reps who were difficult to understand. Discouraged after just 2 months, not looking forward to dealing with them for remainder of term. Did anyone get issued resolved, what can we do? This can’t possibly be acceptable.
