This moving company messed up big time!
This moving company messed up big time! They couldn't even move my mom's stuff from New Rochelle to White Plains, and now they're trying to charge us $9,000! Can you believe it? And get this, they want us to pay another $1,500 to have someone else come and pick it up. What a bunch of crooks! They totally took advantage of my elderly mom. Don't trust them! Seriously, stay away. We're filing a complaint with the DOT and you should too.

The crew chief was kinda rude, but the rest of the crew was cool. I paid a lot of money to have them move my stuff, but they still managed to break over $1,500 worth of electronics. And it was only a short move, like 5 miles and done in one day. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They don't seem to care about making a $3k move turn into a $5k one with all the extra costs like tips and lunch for the crew. Plus, they broke my stuff! I used to say I'd never move myself again, but after this experience, I'm gonna do it all myself from now on.

We had 11 furnitures to move to Virginia. Al's Moving and Storage was great! Their price was really good, much lower than two other bids we got. They set up a good date and time with another client in Virginia so both moves were on one truck. Pick up and delivery dates and times were exact. Flawless delivery. They shrink wrapped the pieces and then wrapped them in heavy quilts. They arrived on time and put the pieces where they needed to be, even re-attaching a mirror to a small dresser. The guys were polite and professional. No damage.

My wife called to see what was up and the owner said we never even booked the move. But that's not true, 'cause we talked to someone and they said they'd be here. The owner called my wife a liar and I wasn't too happy 'bout that, so I called him up and asked what was goin' on. He just hung up on me! We tried callin' 'em back, but they just kept hangin' up on us. I don't recommend this company at all. They shoulda at least given us an explanation.
The quotes were all over the place
The quotes were all over the place. The movers were taking their sweet time. My move was supposed to be quick, but it took them 6 hours. They were blasting music and one guy was carrying a boom box. They even charged me for 1.5 hours of travel time and cleaning the truck! It doesn't take that long to get from White Plains to Tarrytown! One of the movers even used my microwave to heat up his food without asking. The boss hung up on me. I tried calling multiple times, but they just answered and hung up. I wanted an explanation, but the owner was super rude! He's not a good businessman. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
These guys are the worst
These guys are the worst. They lie, give different prices, and their movers are terrible. It takes forever for them to get to your new place, even though they said it would be quick. They told me it would be $2600, but then charged me $6000. They also make multiple trips, so your stuff doesn't arrive all at once. That means that the movers come to your house multiple times, which is annoying. The movers are nice, but they don't really care about you. They just want to get the job done. The people in the office are not helpful either. They don't know what's going on and can't give you a straight answer. Don't use this company. Use someone else.

This company is not deserving of the best of Westchester title. They were lazy, clumsy, and rude. The guys were smoking and drinking and broke and scratched many of our items. They shouldn't advertise long distance moves if they don't have a proper crew. Our items arrived 5 days after the confirmed date, costing us $1,000 in hotel expenses. They ignored the fact that they missed the date. The staff was rude and talked down to my family. They rushed moving our stuff because they wanted to hit the bar. They left items in the garage and refused to move them where we asked. Many kitchen items were broken, and our furniture had scratches and marks. My antique Christmas ornaments were shattered. The movers forgot to install a bed leg and lied about a rug being in the way. They forgot to attach a mirror to the dresser. The guys were asked not to smoke, but they smoked in our garage and screamed at me when asked not to. One delivery man smelled of alcohol and put boxes in the wrong spots. When asked for a refund, they refused.

This moving company is the worst - I wouldn't even use them if they were free. I'd rather pay double for a better company. Don't make the same mistake as us - the negative reviews online say it all. They handled our move so poorly, it's unbelievable they do this for a living. We confirmed the details of our move a month before in writing, including our address with apartment number and the fact that there were stairs and no elevator. You'd think a moving company would take that information and plan accordingly, but nope. On the day of our move, they told us they needed to pick up a helper to deal with the stairs, which would add to our cost. Then they asked if an 18-*** would fit into our apartment complex, which it wouldn't, so they had to rent a van (at our expense) to shuttle our items in. They should have asked us this a month ago when we gave them our apartment information. They were hours late and didn't communicate with us at all. We had to call them to find out what was going on. Worst of all, most of our boxes were bent, re-taped, ripped, and damaged, even the ones marked fragile. They clearly didn't care about our belongings. Many of our items were broken, including our expensive TV. Overall, it was a terrible experience. Save yourself the trouble and go with a better company.

I used Al's Moving and Storage on May 28 and still haven't talked to anyone who can help me. I keep getting the runaround. The lady office workers are rude and don't wanna hear my concerns. They cut me off while I'm speaking, take my name and number, and tell me that they'll have *** call back. I haven't heard from him yet. He's never available and now out for almost four weeks. I talked to Al, the owner, who won't help me. He says they're busy and only *** who happens to be his son can help me. I want closure on the cleaning or replacement of dirty lampshades, broken items which I have pictures of, and some lost items. I'm getting tired of making these calls and now believe that this is the point of their behavior. Maybe they're hoping that I'll give up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Delivery was 5 days late even though we had a confirmed date with the man in the office. This cost us $1,000 in hotel fees that we shouldn't have had to spend if our items were delivered on the date promised. Staff didn't wear masks like suggested on their website. All of our furniture arrived scratched and dented. Boxes of fragile items which were triple bubble wrapped arrived shattered. Items weren't put where they were supposed to be left. The staff back talked to us that they wouldn't move things either because they wanted to get to the bar. One staff member stunk of alcohol, kept dropping boxes, and was so drunk he walked into our slider door. The crew smoked and blew it towards our garage screaming at us that they were allowed to smoke on or around their truck. They forgot to assemble part of our bed. They forgot to assemble our dresser mirror. The furniture has bad knocks, scratches and marks on them which they did not have when they were packed. Company says they accept credit cards. Owner stood right in our kitchen and said they take credit cards. When we tried to pay with credit cards they told us no- that we had to get buy bank checks because it was long distance. We were never told that originally. The driver of the truck said he called the owner to tell them to refund our money because the delivery was so bad. Everything which was guaranteed excellent service was an absolute lie. From the no masks, to no credit cards, to damaged furniture, to shattered items, to drunk employees, to bad mouthing staff, to unassembled furniture, to wrong location of items, to the thousand dollar hotel fee- THE WORST SERVICE WE COULD HAVE IMAGINED. The owner's son said he would mail us paperwork to fill out and send us money back and never did. These guys are a disgusting disgrace and should refund us the $13,850 plus the $1,000 for our hotel stay required by their tardiness!
