False marketing and not allowing you to cancel

I would like to ask for your advice, I received a phone call from an Amazing Vouchers' agent, A lady that advertised the company she was acting friendly because she even told me that she is staying from the same township that i'm staying at. After telling me of their services I joined but she asked of my ID number and my banking details. I made a mistake of giving out of my ID number and my banking details. I found out later that they are not giving what they promised to give, because I tried to go to one of their partners (according to them) but this company said they don't know anything about the company and their partnership and it seemed like I was not the first one who went there to try to access their free service. I have not used their service since I have joined.
Now I want them to unsigned me from the member's list, they ask me to provide a letter from my previous employer that says I'm no longer working, otherwise they can not unsign me. My question is, is it not my right to cancel anytime I want to?
Cancellation fee
I agreed to the amazing vouchers subscription. I was told it is a month to month subscription & i could cancel at any time. I actually did request cancellation the very next day & your retentions agents called me back & assured me a number of times that i would have no problem cancelling & i could cancel at any time as this was my biggest concern. He knowingly withheld information about the cancellation fee if i wanted to cancel. I feel like i was deliberately **** to because had i know there was a cancellation fee i would never have agreed to this. I asked more than once about being allowed to cancel. I have since tried to approach your company & the only person who i have spoken to is lee - ann zietsman who i find to be rude. She is not interested in trying to help me she just keeps telling me that these are the company rules. I requested a copy of my call which you state is legally binding & i have been told that i have no right to it & your company will not send it. Why is it legally binding but i have no right to it? I just want to cancel this - i do not want to pay for something that i am never going to use just because of the service you give your clients!

Unauthorized debit orders
I have joined Amazing vouchers in 2009 but after one month realized that for the money they are charging nothing of value was offered to the client. Now in 2013 they are still debiting my banking account with different amounts so it makes it very difficult to load a stop payment at my bank. I see that there are a lot of similar complaints about this company but it seems to no avail. How can the NCR allows this to continue? This is bluntly theft! Can somebody please assist the thousands of people that are being robbed daily. I have never used one of their vouchers!
I have the same problem. iv'e stopped the debit order a few times at my bank but every month it still go off. that not the only problem i did't give any permission i have'nt even spoken to them, and there is 3 debit order from the same company. Amazing vouchers

Refusing to cancel
A lady phoned me up very early one morning selling the Amazing Voucher deal, making everything sound really Amazing. I agreed to it, but thought about it later and realised I cannot afford it. I sent a fax to cancel 2 days later. Conveniently, they never received it. I cannot find my copy of the letter either as proof. I havent used a single voucher or even accessed their website, but they are trying to force me to pay!

I send Amazing Voucher an email wanting to find out when my 12 month Contract will end. A lady by the name of Charmonay Creighton contacted me and I informed her that I want to cancel at the end of June when my contract is done. She insisted that I put it on hold for 3 months and then I can start again. I completed the payments for the 12 months as per the contract. I send a mail in early August to inform Amazing vouchers that I do not want to continue with teh contract. No response. I send another mail a week later informing them I do not want to continue, then a very arrogant lady, 'Fowziah Villet' tells me that I am in breach and I should pay R600 to cancel my contract. What utter nonsense - they are a total rip off. I wil not recommend anyone to deal with Amazing Vouchers
Theft
This company is stealing money out of my account and rewarding you with nothing they have been taking money out of my account for the past nine months and no person will give away R250 every month for nothing. They better give all my money back or they will receive a letter from my lawyer

Cancelling fee
Hi amaizing vouchers sweet talked me to took acontract with them and i redeemed my vouchers only to te told at the shop that they dont have any contract with the shop. Now i am trying to cancell but they say i must pay R2340 of which is crazy to give away R195 monthly. now they have debited my account and when i ask for a refund they tells me to pay one last installment and i think this is a daylight robbery.

I went on to amazing vouchers thinking it is such a great thing to have, but I suppose we all get fooled one way or another through some sales person! I have phoned them about 20 times to cancel my account and all I get is I have to phone in a few months as I am on a 6month basis! Now I am seriously not impressed and I feel the level of competency needs to be reviewed! I went into the bank a few months ago to cancel that debit order and still money is going off my account for Amazing Vouchers! Please cancel this today and if I get another deduction I will take this further!

Bad services
I joined Amazing vouchers in 2010, to which they sounded very promising on the bargains at hand. Upon joining no one told me that there were a 3 month cancelation policy. Also was told that they would post me a membership card to use for the redeem of vouchers.
I never received a card and have requested soooo many times for them to send me one...emails and phone calls still nothing.
Then when i decided to cancel they simply ignored my emails and requests. Only when I kept on phoning and phoning with screaming matches...they told me that there is a 3 month cancellation policy.
I have to pay another 3 months of this ### for something I can't even use properly.
I think the idea of the whole thing is great but not planned properly. 3 months is out of the question but to get these buggers off my account and away from my money, I paid and made them send me a letter to confirm when last payment will be deducted.
I WILL NOT RECOMMEND AMAZING VOUCHERS TO ANYONE EVERY AGAIN.

I am one of those caught up in the scam.The people that are contracted with amazing vouchers do not agree with the "free vouchers".I have lost a lot of money trying to set appointments to redeem my vouchers.Most of these service providers expect me to pay.They say that they can`t offer these services for free.Imagine sleeping in a bread and breakfast worth R300 free of charge.What`s in it for a person in Soweto.These people are trying to make a living in the business.I m not allowed to bring along my husband for the sleepover.A man in his right mind will never allow his wife to go alone.Some salons do not do African hair.Why not put that in the voucher so that we don`t waist our airtime making appointments.A lady who recruited me said my cousin in Capetown is a member, only to find she cancelled long ago.these people are lair-es. I was called a couple of months ago about this amazing vouchers - it all happened so fast - i asked the person to contact my husband and he said no, the sales person then called me again and she put so much pressure on me and because of my overload at work and i wanted to get this person off my back i said yes. I tried cancelling my contract but was told i couldnt. My debit order of R195.00 is deducted religiously each and every month. I cannot afford this contract anymore as my husband has been and still is unemployed and this is what i told the sales person when she called. I've been trying to cancel my subscription since 2008. But Amazing Vouchers refuses to cancel. As a consumer, I have a right to cancel or terminate a service or product. Amazing vouchers should read the Consumer Protection Bill... I will be contacting the Ombudsman regarding this matter. The company claims to not be a credit provider, but they seem to not be aware of the NCA. Any company who has 100 or more agreements of has agreements to the value of R500 000, has be registered with the National Credit Regulator. You can contact the NCR as well on [protected] or [protected]. The time has come for Amazing Vouchers to be consumer friendly, not a hassle to consumers.

I was trying to cancel my contract with Amazing vouchers, reason is, that they phoned me and promised that I would have my reference/ membership number within 24 hours, and I didn't, I didn't even get an sms, I then phoned during my cool off period and wanted to cancel, then they got another sales consultant to contact me and try to convince me to keep the memebership! I asked the gentleman that phoned me, if I could rethink this, and that it wouldn't have an effect on my cool off period, he said he would contact me the next morning! (This never happened) ...
Now when trying to phone the Cape Town number the number goes to some voicemail, and there is no email address on their website where I can send my cancellation to! I think this is such bad service, when you promise to phone a customer, you do that at the time promised to phone them!
I want my contract cancelled, and if there is any money deducted from my account, I will contact my lawyer.

I really think that Amazing Vouchers actually "sells" a false product. They promise you the world on signing up and when you actually look at what they have to offer, it is pathetic. I honestly think that no company should be able toe trade like this. They have nothing on their website for cancellation but signing up is obviously sooo easy. my name is Dumisani Daweti, when i heired about amazing vouchers product i thought i will benefit from their product, but hey since i joined them i haven't make use of the product i can't my money deducted every month, I've send them an email in cancelling my membership.but still my money get deducted why?.

Debit order for 3months even after cancellation
I was convinced to take a contract with amazing vouchers very well done.I then Endeavored on cancelling the verbal contract without looking at the website and what they have to offer when speaking to the consultant she convinced me to first try it out. which i did and was not convinced as they dont offer what they say they do when speaking to you. [protected]. i then call to cancell the contract again to be told that when a Declaration was read to me the second time i wavered my right to the 5 day cooling off period and will be debited for the next 3months which i now can do nothing about. which was not explained in the declaration as the consultants make sure to run through it as quickly as they can. this is unethical and very disparate. i dont understand how a company can exist with this unethical way of practising a business.
I'm also experiencing the same problem I want to cancel now they are saying they are going to debit the money for 3 months, what kind of a company does that?

You will regret accepting a contract
When you get contacted, you will be told that the vouchers you can print are free and to the value of R3000 and you can leave your wallet at home. this is not true, the few times i logged on, majority of the vouchers were only a % off the full amount, meaning you still pay for the services. It is also said that if a debit order is returned, it will be redebited the next month. This is not true, this will cause your contract to be exctended meaning if you take a 24 month contract and miss 3 debit orders your contract will be extended to 28 months. In the terms and conditions it states that you can give a minimum of 1 month and maximum of 3 months notice if you wish to cancel your contract. If you try to cancel you will only receive a letter from them stating that your 24 month period has not yet expired without any explination and they will continue to debit you. All i want to do is to have them stop taking debit orders off my account considering that the 24 months expired in August 2009 already also considering that i asked for the contract to be cancelled in July already. I give up trying to get answers from Amazing vouchers. I have in 24 months not used a single voucher!
We are concerned about your post, as it it contains incorrect information.
It is true that the majority of our vouchers are for free offerings. And yes, if you redeemed 15 vouchers valued at R200 each, you would get value of R3, 000. Members may print any 30 vouchers of free offerings every month. We do also have many discount and added value offerings as well, of which members may print unlimited amounts of. If you redeem a freebie, you could indeed leave your wallet at home!
If a debit order is returned, our system will attempt to recover the costs the following month. A contract does not "extend" itself - that would be illegal, however, if you keep stopping debit orders, our system will continue to try to recover the funds the following month. We do have a cancellation procedure, should you wish to terminate your contract.
The one month notice applies to those contracts that reached end of term. The 3 month notice applies when you want to cancel your contract during the course of your membership, before it reached end of term. We require a cancellation request in writing from you, in order to cancel your membership.

What this company did is illegal
I joined amazing vouchers in Febl this year. I was told that I will only be cancel the memebership after 3 months by their call centre agent and that was one of their conditions.
Their membership was not working for me as I was paying for something that I was not utilising at all for 5 months. I then decided to call and cancel the subscription but was told by Lee Anne that I cannot cancel, as the 'waiting cancellation period' is 3 months. I then explained it to her that when I joined I was told that I can only cancel after 3 months by the conusltant who was helping me. i was told by 2 consultant that I can cancell after 3 months of joining.
After sending lee ann b a cancellation later, I went to my Bank to stop the debit order of R 265 and that was in August . In September amazing vouchers deducted R 175 from my account. Stop payment was for R 265 not R 175.
What this company did is illegal, as I did not sign any credit agreement with them. Iam an individual that falls within the ambit of NCA, such practice is unacceptable.

I got a phone call yesterday morning to join amazing vouchers. I agrred to paying R199 a month but eversince i have not heard anything, i am not happy as i already gave my banking details and everything. I was suppsoe to get an sms and did not receive anything to date. I sent out an email this morning got no reply ever since. SO upset!
You may cancel your membership at any time, and it is correct that a 3-month notice period applies to cancellations. If you stop your debit orders, our system will keep attempting to recover the unpaid fees, as you are in breach of your agreement, whilst still having full access to the product.
It is within our right to collect membership fees, as per your telephonic agreement with us. The NCA does not apply, as we are not a credit provider.

I had never come across such nonsensical situation
I havent received my money when i called this morning i was told that i can only get it month end these people are playing games they dont even have a decency to call and let me know that they are experiencing problems it is easy to debit my account but when u are supposed to refund u keep on telling lot of stories, i am very disgusted i had never come accross such nonsensical situation.

I joined Amazing vouchers and had used thier vouchers for the trial period and then when I tried to print and use vouchers again I found that one cannot print the same service again the following month, therefore I emailed them and phoned them to cancel my subsription however this was not done and finally spoke to an agent and she said if I continue for 3 months then I can ccancel after that so I agreed and decied for the lower option of R199.00 p/month i Then printed the vouchers and decied to call the suppliers to find that the services that was rendere by the supplier was incorrectly indicated so I could not use that service and then found that after i printed another voucher the no given for supplier does not exist I have all the vouchers that was printed and did not use anything.They falsely indicate services that is not offered.AVM-LUTC-1, I want to cancel this mebership.
Fraud
I found out that one of these agents contacted my wife & sold her a package explaining that
these vouchers will allow you to on boat rides, visit the aquarium & eat out on fully paid vouchers.
After my wife told me, I went to the site to see what vouchers are available, once I saw what a load of crap this is, i called Sharon in customer services to cancel.
She says my wife commited fraud by giving my bank details, what she doesnt know is that they commited fraud because they did not read the declaration out to the bank account holder, I recieved no membership card & requests to cancel, I was told after 9 months i Can cancel...we'll see...

Cancellation of 12 month contract
I signed on with amazing vouchers in March this year. The telephone salesman who dealt with me, explained that it was a 12 month contract but that if I did want to cancel, I would have to give three months notice.
After 3 months and not once having used the product, I decided to cancel. I got hold of a lady called Carol-Ann Hartzenberg. She was very pleasant and chatty on the phone was sorry that I wanted to cancel etc and gave me the whole 3 month notice spiel again. I confirmed that I wanted to cancel and could she please implement my notice period with immediate effect. ( this was 30th June 2010).
She agreed but asked me for safety's sake if I would confirm in writing that I wanted to cancel the contract. She gave me her email address and I sent an email on 30 June 2010 to her confirming that I wanted to cancel my contract with immediate effect, and asking her to respond and confirm notice in writing.
On 1 July I received an email back from Carol-Ann which contained a pdf letter which basically told me I had a 12 month contract not yet come to an end and suggesting I contact their client services to discuss alternative options.
I sent an email back on 2 July saying there was nothing further to discuss and I wanted the cancellation/ notice period implemented as agreed to on the phone and in writing the same day.
I had no further response, so yesterday 22nd July I resent my email from 2nd July.
This morning I received the same email from Carol-Ann that she had sent me on 1 July with no added comment at all.
I have of course today responded with a blistering email that they are reneging on what they agreed to do. I have given them until Monday to respond.
If they do not respond favourably, rest assured this matter will be taken to every consumer journalist in the country, to the public and media at large and to programmes such as carte blanche etc unless I receive confirmation that thye are going to honour their agreement for me to give 3 months notice as from 30 June 2010

i was called today by one the agents from amazing vouchers and was offered a voucher from this guys this is not acceptebly as its a rip off according to new consumer act they not allowed to call us please stop this company as a lot of people are being ripped off.
I WANT TO CANCELL MY MEMBERSHIP WITH THEM BUT NOW T5HEY TELL ME I MUST PAY TO CANCEL AS NO-ONE TOLD ME THAT WHEN I SIGNED UP.I DONT HAVE TIME ON A WEEKEND TO REDEEM THE VOUCHERS AS I WORK ALONE AND HAVE TWO KIDS WHO IS STILL SMALL SO I DONT HAVE THE TIME.BUT NOW THEY DONT WANT TO CANCEL THE MEMBERSHIP FOR ME
