I am being scammed by a member of ACS company
I was an exhibitor at ACS bridal show MN in 2023 and only selected on year of exhibitions. The company is now forcing me to exhibit at 2024 claiming that i signed up for multi year - I never signed up for multi year and the documents that they have are not real - Tim keeps sending me emails that i hav told him over and over again are frauds and i am being scammed.
This is unprofessional to take me to collections over a scam, i am ready to fight this and let everyone know that this scam is happening within the organizaiton with Tim Ryder being the person who is scamming people who exhibitied. I have heard horror stories in regards to this.

Having done business previously with ACS shows I received an email inviting me to participate in a bridal show in *** in November I filled out the application and sent in my fee entirely and was, in turn, sent a contract which we executed on both ends. I recently received a phone call from ACS saying they would no longer honor my contract because some other person in my field of expertise had bought an Exclusive to this show.After leaving several messages I received a very rude phone call from someone named *** informing me that this business is a private business and that they can do anything they want regardless of contract. I am simply asking this company to honor the original contract and allow me to participate in the show.

I have been dealing with Jackie D and Jonathan S. They have both been extremely rude, unprofessional, and inattentive. Due to COVID-19, my business shut down. Due to having no income, being in extreme debt from trying to keep our business afloat and getting kicked out of our residence, my husband and I have moved in with family in TN. I'm literally homeless and can't pay my own bills but your company is holding onto money for three home shows I put money toward that got rescheduled to 2022 due to Covid. We invested in these shows hoping they would help keep our business open by getting leads. Not being able to do any home shows or expos in all of 2020 AND 2021 definitely played a role in our business closing. I'm having a hard time believing that as I'm laying here on an air mattress in a family member's home and are totally financially spent that you are the type of company that would keep $2200 + of someone's money that could make such a huge difference for them.
I signed a contract with American Consumer Shows LLC (ACS) to take part in a Home Show in the Pasadena, California area during the month of April , Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the show has had to be cancelled. I have asked ACS for a full refund in the amount of $1345.00 due to the cancellation of the show They are telling me that they have decided to apply my payment to next years show rather than offer a refund. It is not stated that this is how they would handle their business in the contract that I signed. They have since sent to me a contract that they have made changes to adding verbiage that was not on the original contract. They have added the following verbiage: " , and agrees that Exhibitor is not entitled to a refund. Promotor (incorrect spelling) will issue a 100% credit to Exhibitor for a future show or 50% credit each to two future shows and will endeavor to reschedule the show." Again this verbiage is not on the original contract that I signed. Furthermore their contract states the following under the General section: "The Contract together with the exhibitor manual and these Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Exhibitor and the Promoter, and such agreement may not be modified except in writing signed by Exhibitor and Promoter." It is illegal to alter and or change a contract after it has been signed without the mutual consent of both parties. I have sent an email to the sales representative that I have been dealing with outlining this information in my email and I have also copied the company's main email address on my request, without a response from them.

I emailed back in April complaining about the show being cancelled for August and rescheduled to August 2022. I was upset as I just signed up March 19 for the August show, and April received an email that the show was being rescheduled. My payment was being moved to next year's show. I told them that I didn't want to go to next year's show and wasn't sure where my business was going to be at that time. My business is fairly new and also, even if my business does good this year in 2021, the date they chose is peak wedding season. That would take away time from my business. I was told that while yes, in the contract it states no refunds, it should have been disclosed to me on the phone when I talked with ***, that this year's show was not going to happen. At no point was that disclosed to me, and its been frustrating me ever since. I am glad that I looked them up on Complaintsboard.com, as now I am seeing they have received many complaints like mine, for the same issue.

I told them I wasnt sure if I was going to be ready for future shows since I was getting married within the next few months and my schedule was a bit hectic. They said just fill out this form and we will send you more info to see if you want to do it. I filled out an excel sheet with my name and email company name and somehow my signature ended up on TWO contracts. Now its a bit of a joke because the form I filled out originally for the show we did do and the two contracts they are trying to enforce look absolutely nothing alike. On top of the fact *** screamed at me and told me to speak yep like a dog. Her manager *** doesnt seem to care. You can see in the documents provided the first contract was an actual signed contract filled out by me and the second and third have completly different signatures and handwriting.

This company runs *** Bridal and Wedding Expo. Their "modus operandi" is to persecute client prospects with lots of eMails and phone calls until they make the client sign one page prefilled agreement with lots hightlights on where to sign (Exhibit 1). A year after 2022 I received an new invoice with date May 11, 2022 (Exhibit 2) establishing I ough them $995. This invoice was sent to my on July 11, 2022 (Exhibit 3). The small letters on the agreement established to I need to cancel before July 1st, so (in bad faith) they hold the invoice during (2) two months with the clear purpose of not allowing me the opportuny to cancel on time.I noticed this company has lots of bad reviews about this same issue on Complaintsboard.com but still have A+ clasification. This company doesn't have any work ethic, you need to stop them. Now their account executive (***) is threatening me by means of phone calls and letters (Exhibit 4) with litigation and affecting my credit reputation. Please help me.

March 15, 2022 I had purchase an event show i was trying to start my business but I could not get it off the ground because of financial hardship I tried to email the company normally they would respond right away but this time they didnt instead I emailed someone else that emailed me and they told me to talk to the person that I was dealing with so then today April first is when I got a call and they basically tried to keep me in the contract but I told them alot had happen and I didnt have the business anymore and that maybe next year if things got better then I would try to come next year but I wanted to cancel and so the lady told me no that in the contract it said that I cant cancel that I have to pay it and that if i dont pay it i would be sent to collections but Im like that sounds about stupid. So I looked at the contract and nothing in there says that I cant cancel also they sent me a threatening letter saying that if I dont pay they would take me to court and try to force me to pay something that I tried to cancel. They also said I was in default I said how can I be in default with you if I am trying to cancel I cant be in default if I cancel the service also I got the service in March and ended in march I only paid *** and was suppose to pay the amount in april but I told them I wanted to cancel and they said I could not cancel because it is in the contract but it does not state that at all in fact it says the complete opposite

We signed an agreement in June to exhibit at a bridal fair in August . We did not check the "multi year discount" deal because our business was being sold. The representative was aware of this and we spoke multiple times about it. The representative offered the discount anyway and asked me to return an email saying that it was ok to charge the fee of $645. He then altered the contract and named that email as my acceptance of a multi-year discount. In May, 2022 I started receiving emails of an outstanding $1495 balance for an upcoming show. I received no invoices, emails or any other information confirming any participation in an August 2022 show. I understand that the representative is paid based on contracts that he signs and so he very underhandedly made it seem that I was agreeing to something other than what we discussed on the phone. His email is ambiguous and does not reflect our conversations. Being an honest person, I read his email to reflect what we'd spoken about although I now see that he worded it to make it seem that I was signing up a multi-year contract.The representative knew that I couldn't sign a multi year agreement as our business was set to be sold the same month as the August show. It wouldn't make sense for him to even think that I'd sign that deal.The company is now holding this email as proof that I signed a deal that I did not. I intentionally didn't check a box committing myself. Their contract lists prices that depend on checking a box, and I did not check that box. The company is offering me a discount on the fraudulent ***. I will pay the $50 discount that was given by them in error.The company is refusing to take into account the background and circumstances. It is a simple, unintentional and completely understandable error. They are using their weight to intimidate me into payment when the facts can be seen clearly from both *** records showing 2 conversations to *** that day incl.
