We hired American Eagle to build and install custom cabinets in our kitchen and 5 bathrooms, along with new quartz countertops
We hired American Eagle to build and install custom cabinets in our kitchen and 5 bathrooms, along with new quartz countertops. Carl B had us sign a contract which stated that the work would be completed in 30 days. After the kitchen and bath demolition, the work stopped and phone call went unanswered. We were without a usable kitchen for 4 months. Carl and company owner Paul G would make promises month after month that the following week the job would be completed. They would string us along and have a worker or two show up for a couple of hours here and there. This went on for 8 months. The quality of the work was subpar to say the least. Since they had the bulk of our money budgeted for the job, we felt like we were held hostage. After 8 months of this farce, the cabinets and countertops were finally installed. There were many details left unfinished and the quality of work was a joke. We have had to have all the cabinets repainted by a professional painters. Our floors and walls were badly damaged by the incompetent workers. We wish we never chosen American Eagle Contracting for our remodel. If you happen to come across Paul G or Carl B for a remodel job, please run the other way! Caveat Emptor! Buyer Beware!
American Eagle, located in Hemet, is a terrible business
American Eagle, located in Hemet, is a terrible business. I looked them up, license was revoked at one time, restated. The owner, Paul G allows Carl B, to use his license number. Carl B will come out to your house, and you find him charming and nice, until you sign the contract. We have been waiting for 4 months, going into 5 for a bathroom remodel, in a mobile home! He is lazy, takes vacations on clients' time, their crew leaves left and right and will not call you back, will not care about YOUR TIME, your house, or the idea that you have given him money ahead of time. This construction company is the worst, and we thought we were doing ourselves a favor by going through a company. NOT THIS ONE. Do yourself a huge favor, do NOT contract with them. The owner won't contact you back, he gets a commission from the sales made, but you, the client, are left hanging for such a long time. We asked for blueprints, Carl sat down at our table, in our house, and drew out with a pencil and eraser all over the paper, and said, this is what you will get. I don't think so. All the remaining customers want to file a class action lawsuit, and we just might. AMERICAN EAGLE, not to be confused with the one in San Diego, that gets good ratings. not the same place. We are more than disappointed. We are reviewing him on every sight, and the ComplaintsBoard.com, along with a possible court date to come. Terrible. I'd give half a rating, but our shower, and the man who did it was excellent. he is no longer with him either. That's all we have done in our bathroom in 4 months, a shower, without a door.
STAY AWAY FROM AMERICAN EAGLE CONTRACTING
STAY AWAY FROM AMERICAN EAGLE CONTRACTING. They broke the contract big time. No quality in their work. They owe us money for finishing the job and fixing their mistakes. If there's a lawsuit, count us in. Let me tell you about Paul, Karl, and Karl's nephew Brandon. They messed up big time. They always had excuses for the delays. Can you imagine not having a kitchen for 4 months? My grandma and disabled daughter had to suffer because of their incompetence. Every week I had to bug them to find out who was coming and what they were doing. They were always unprepared, late, or didn't show up at all. And when they did bring materials, they didn't fit and had to be taken back. This happened 6 times! Karl and his nephew were supposed to design, make, and install the cabinets. But they were always borrowing our tools and ladders. What kind of professionals are they? And when they did manage to do something, it was either broken or looked like an amateur did it. They had to fix a leaky sink 5 times and it still wasn't fixed. And don't get me started on the microwave they installed above the stove. It was so high, we needed a step ladder to reach it. The funny thing is, Paul and his crew always acted like they knew what they were doing. But they were just a bunch of amateurs.
American Eagle San Jacinto (Not to be confused with Amer Eagle Construction in Yucaipa)
American Eagle San Jacinto (Not to be confused with Amer Eagle Construction in Yucaipa). American Eagle San Jacinto operates under the license of Paul G Lisc # 613620, with a variable and sordid past. G apparently started business about 1991, his constuction manager Carl B (Maybe Carl W B), joined him in 1991. If Carl B is the same as Carl W. B, then B's license was expired in 1986, and then revoked 1990, after it expired. American Eagle's license, Paul G, was revoked in 1995, for abandoned projects without lawful reason, wilful acts of fraud, and association with a disciplined revoked licensee (believed to beCarl B). American Eagle did not resume business after license revocation until about January . The CA State license board indicates that the license was active again, until 2008. A license suspension occurred because there were a number of complaints [protected], abandonment of projects, exceeding contracted price, etc. Carl B went to work in 2015, for a company in San Jacinto, named K.R. Miller construction but was "let go" for "ethical reasons". Those who worked with Carl B at KR Miller, did not seem to be able to complete projects or keep workers from quitting, even after Carl B was let go. There seems to be no licensing or construction activity for American Eagle from 2010, until [protected]. Again Carl B began working with Paul G, not under Carl's license, he apparently has not been licensed since [protected], but under Paul G's license. Again in [protected], there are numerous complaints about American Eagle, taking payment and then abandonment of projects. My wife and I, in Riverside, paid about $13,000, for a kitchen remodel Sept. 2021, and now mid-November , The bottom and top cabinets are only partially installed, and the counter tops and sink were installed, so about 1/4 complete and the rest has been abandoned. No drawers, no cabinet doors, no Refrigerator cabinet, appliances not installed and trash not removed. We are getting estimates for completion because Carl is not responding to calls, most of his workers have quit, and his daughter has also quit. We are now facing having to pay a 2nd contractor to finish work that we already paid for.

The contract says the job will be done in 2 months
The contract says the job will be done in 2 months. It's been 15 and I've been left high and dry, and all communication has been avoided every time I try to contact them. This is my final warning before I take them to small claims court.
American Eagle took my money for a remodeling job but didn't finish the work and gave me low-quality materials instead of what I asked for
American Eagle took my money for a remodeling job but didn't finish the work and gave me low-quality materials instead of what I asked for. They were supposed to be done by July 21, 2022. They won't respond to my messages, won't meet with me, and won't pick up the phone.
Started kitchen remodel in March 2022, but it's still not done even though they cashed all the checks
Started kitchen remodel in March 2022, but it's still not done even though they cashed all the checks. Last talked to the contractor on June 30, 2022. It's been over 30 days with no response to calls and texts. Reported the contractor to the licensing board for abandoning the job.
We had a water damage under the kitchen sink in June
We had a water damage under the kitchen sink in June . The insurance quote for damages was $8235, and we decided to go with American Eagle for the kitchen project. Construction began in September, and American Eagle has come out here 4 times. However, it's now November, and we still don't have cabinet doors and pull-out drawers. I've called numerous times in October, but I haven't received a call back from American Eagle.
This company started a kitchen remodel and has never finished the job
This company started a kitchen remodel and has never finished the job. I don't have cabinet doors, most I do have don't fit properly, don't have all the drawers, and two I do have are the wrong size. None of the finish trim has been installed. Also, I'm supposed to have a lazy Susan in the corner cabinet that has never been installed. All money has been paid except the last $4000.00, which was supposed to be for a golf cart when all work was finished.
On 4/19, American Eagle wrote a contract for a kitchen countertop for a total of $2,300
On 4/19, American Eagle wrote a contract for a kitchen countertop for a total of $2,300. I gave them half, which was $1,150.00. On 5/07, Carl came back and said that the cabinets were too weak to hold the new countertop. So, we asked if he could just remodel the whole kitchen. We added a note to the old contract. Since then, we only got a text message saying that they'll give back our money in 30 days. American Eagle never planned on doing the job. I want all my money back. I also called Home Advisory to let them know about American Eagle.
This company is a scam
This company is a scam. They take your money and don't finish the job. I haven't received my deposit back and they said legally it needs to be returned. Other reviews show they started a job and never finished it or don't have the material. I canceled my contract and didn't get whatever material they say they bought for the job. We didn't even approve any kind of material to be bought for the work that needed to be done. The job wasn't even supposed to start for another 4-6 weeks. They make claims to justify their work and to keep your money. People need to know not to hire this company. They need to lose their license and never get it back.
Kitchen, floor, and bathroom remodel
Kitchen, floor, and bathroom remodel. On July 23, they started the demo and left all my furniture outside. They kept postponing everything. The kitchen is only about 50% completed. They never answer my calls or messages. I have paid $19,000. The floor was not done correctly by their employees, and the company agreed, so they tore it down. However, they never came back to finish the job. Their excuse was that someone was sick, and they couldn't find new workers. They even wanted me to pay again for the floor that they messed up. My bathroom is also not done right. We have 6 foster children with us, and they just left us with a hazardous zone. Electrical wires are exposed, and their tools and knives are within reach of children. I just want my money back. The person in charge, ***, was evicted from his shop. His employees told me that he owes them money. He is just a con man. *** never contacted me, and he just keeps pushing things off.
I had a terrible experience with American Eagle and their partner
I had a terrible experience with American Eagle and their partner. They took a whopping $30,000 from me for some work on a mobile home I bought. This included materials and labor. The address is *** E. *** St. #, San ***, Ca ***. That was all the money I had left after the purchase. They were supposed to remodel the mobile home, which involved new wood and tile flooring, painting, cabinets, granite countertops, plumbing for sinks, and electrical work for new lighting. There was so much more to be done. But the workers they hired were unprofessional and didn't know what they were doing. They were supposed to do the work that was agreed upon and paid for, but they didn't. And to make matters worse, they even stole from me. They took the high-quality paint that I had already bought separately, as well as a dishwasher and other random items. The contractor promised to finish the work, but he never returned my calls or text messages. He even changed his phone number. His partner is just as bad. He knows that the work isn't being done, but he just points the finger back at the contractor. I bought this mobile home because I'm permanently disabled and living on a fixed income. I can't afford to live in L.A. County anymore. I used up all my money for this and I have nothing to show for it. And to make matters even worse, the roof is leaking. The contractor said he would fix it, but he hasn't. Someone who would do this has no soul. I'm devastated and I don't know what to do. Can someone please help me?
We signed a contract with a representative from American Eagle Contracting on April 25 for a custom butcher block island and a check deposit
We signed a contract with a representative from American Eagle Contracting on April 25 for a custom butcher block island and a check deposit of $1,320.00 was given. The contract states that the work would begin within 6-8 weeks, around the week of June 14th. In early July, we inquired about the start date and mentioned our preference for a refund if the job couldn't start as promised. On July 12th, the representative texted that he was away for 3 weeks and materials hadn't arrived. By July 29th, he claimed to have mailed our refund. By August 9th, with no refund received, we contacted him again without any response. Throughout August, we followed up on our unreturned deposit. September passed without the arrival of the promised check. On October 4th, he mentioned a delay due to awaiting a materials refund but promised our refund within 2 weeks, which we never received. On October 23rd, after further inquiries, he claimed he was on medical leave but would have our check by October 28th. We emailed him on January 14, 2022, with all documentation, threatening a lawsuit if no refund was issued, yet received no response. As of February 15, 2022, we have neither received our deposit nor the custom island. After 10 months, we are seeking assistance.
We met with CB of AE on 1/22
We met with CB of AE on 1/22. The total agreed price was $2,745 for everything, and we signed a contract on 1/18/22. We gave CB 2 checks, 1 for the down payment ($274) and 1 for half of the sliding glass door ($1200). We were told that the work would begin approximately 2 - 4 weeks after signing the contract. No correspondence from 1/18/22 until I called on 2/15/22. CB said someone would call me about starting the job next week, which would have been 2/21 to 2/26/22. No one called until I called on 3/7/22. The other partner, P, took my info and said he would look up the contract and call me back. Called again at 3:10 P.M., and the voicemail box was full. On 3/11/22, I left a message stating that I wanted to cancel the order. I received a message from CB saying that the door had arrived, but it was the wrong one, so he sent it back. He said if we wanted a vinyl frame door instead of the metal one we ordered, he could get the vinyl one back. He mentioned that vinyl doors were more expensive, but the company would cover the difference. On 3/15/22, CB called and said he hoped they could start work on Saturday, 3/17/22. However, there was no call and no work on that day. I called CB, and he said he had been in the hospital. He assured me they would start work on Saturday, March 19th. Again, on 3/19/22, there was no work and no call. Then CB said they would start work on 3/24/22, but once again, there was no work and no call. On 3/29/22, I told CB that I wanted the money back, cash only, no check, and I would come to the address on the contract to pick it up. I filed a complaint with the Contractor's Licensing Board. They asked me to check if a permit had been requested for work at my address. I contacted the City of Hemet and found that no permit had ever been started. This made me believe that they never intended to do any of the work. On 5/1/22, CB said he mailed a check and sent a pic of the check and also texted me about it. However, I did not receive the check, text, or pic of the check. Both CB & P lied.
