My name is Robbin Thomas, account# [protected]. I called AHS August 15, 2015 to report my refrigerator was not working. A request was sent to LAHA Repair, they were due to come out on
August 19, 2015, the technician (Andy) called to say he was having issues with his truck, so I called
AHS back to find out if they had another company. I was given DK Appliance Repair, Technician Kris
came out on August 21, 2015. Kris stayed 10 minutes, he said it was a circuit & he replaced the circuit,
Kris said the refrigerator would be working within 24 hours.
After 24 hours the refrigerator still was not working, at this point my troubles began. I called
DK Appliance on August 24, 2015, no one was there I left voice message, Dawn called me back the next day, she said we needed a compressor & Dawn said she called AHS to order the compressor, AHS gave me an ETA of August 31, 2015, I began calling Dawn on September 1, 2015 trying to setup an appointment, after calling DK Appliance twice a day & AHS. I found out DK Appliance cancelled the ordered. They were lying to me the whole time & AHS never said the part was cancelled by DK Appliance. No one from AHS ever told me anything until I called on September 3, 2015 this when Swanesse told me what was going on.
I the think it's sad no one at AHS never told me DK Appliance did not have the part, It's also, sad
DK Appliance was able to continue lying to me they should be removed as a contractor for AHS.
Not to mention, DK Appliance conned me out of $75.00 once Kris got the money he was gone never to return. My understanding it's not AHS responsibility to resolve my complaint with DK Appliance, it's the local management, which is code for I'm out $75.00 for no service.
I am now back to where I began with LAHA Repair, I have an additional account # [protected] with AHS, since August 15, 2015 I have spent over $100.00 on two bags of ice daily & having to eat take out, plus I purchased a dorm size refrigerator for $82.00 as well. I would thank since there are other warranty companies, AHS would provide better service (What a joke). As of September 9, 2015 we are out a refrigerator, AHS now says it will be another 5-7 business days before the compressor comes in. Then we will need to wait for LAHA Appliance to call to give us an appointment. I feel since we have been without a refrigerator since August 15, 2015, I feel AHS should expedite to compressor. I WHAT MY REFRIGERATOR FIXED.
Sincerely!
Robbin Thomas

water chiller
my kitchen water chiller which is part of my reverse osmosis system is not working properly. the compressor runs 24/7 really loudly and the water is lukewarm. used to run quietly and serve freezing cold water. so i wait 20 minutes every time i call, finally they send a guy down who has never seen anything like this and has no idea what to do about it, goes back to his office to ask his boss, never gets back to me. i spend another 30 minutes following up, they tell me it's not covered since its not completely dead. then i get a bill for $100 for the pleasure not getting it fixed. if you live in an old wreck or buy an old house get american home shield and have them replace all your appliances and toilets one by one. if you have a meticulously updated and maintained home, as i do, don't waste your time or money. better off with service people you know and trust.
bad faith
We carried AHS for 3 years, each time a call was made for AC repair, a different company would come out and either add Freon or take Freon. No-one ever fixed the AC. Recently, we were on the road and a tenant called to say there was a leak in the crawl space. We did not have internet coverage to look up the phone number for AHS. We told the tenant to call a plumber to get the leak fixed; later I called AHS to see if they would cover part of the bill. They said to submit a request which we did which led no-where except to more frustration. After many attempts to get some response, we got a denial letter for reimbursement of a water heater! We did not have a water heater replaced. Obviously, they didn't even read the information we sent. To top it all off, they will not let you talk to the claims department, "they don't take calls." Off to small claims court we go!
Not reliable/really sticks it to you
Do not use american home shield. They really stick it to you. The companies that come out to fix "things", don't really fix them and you still have to pay for it.
No matter what you have fixed.
I had it happen several times and one time I fixed the toilet and someone came out and they charged me for it.
It is a rip off.
I have asked for a manager and they put me on hold for 25 min now. So I know they are doing this on purpose.
Don't use them.
I was thinking about switching from my current home warranty company (i.e., AHS) to Choice Home Warranty because of AHS's high rates (for both the annual premium & service calls) and mediocre service, but after reading all of the poor reviews of CHS on this website, I think that I'll keep looking for another option. Does anyone have any recommendations for a better company?
Paid AHS for services. Sent out company that is charging me for services that has already been paid to AHS. AHS is a fraud they are doing bad and fraudulant business. They companies that they are contracting out is doing bad business as well. They did not charge my sister, cousin nor friend for the same exact services that they are charging me for.
I have been with American Home Shield for 3 years and two houses, had numerous calls in for repairs and not one thing has been covered. I have now spent many of thousands of dollars on insurance and co-pays and they always found a reason for something not to be covered. I give up, cancelling my coverage and going back to Fidelity. AHS is a scam !
After 5 weeks of warranty repairs, American Home Shield's appliance repair vendor Magic Appliance, Inc. of Sherman Oaks, California still did not repair our washer machine. We ended up buying a new machine at a cost of over $ 880.00. American Home Shield then offered us $ 55.00 as a pay-off for the washer. I would never recommend AHS to anyone.
I could "comment" on every complaint listed on the Board and agree with them all. I have asked AHS if the company is simply a scam. It took me too long, after doing battle with them re AC unit, to realize I was never going to get it resolved...after having been a client for years...
If you are smart enough to do your research before "joining" hopefully you will see all of these complaints and avoid the company.
I have had 4 different technicans to look at my dishwasher and it is still holding water. How many people does it take to try to repair something that can not be fixed. AHS is awful, their service is awful. I am canceling my contract ASAP!
Every time I have someone come out they charge me a service fee with no intention or tools to fix the problem and when they find out the problem it is never covered. As well as being put on hold for hours just to ask a question. Bad Company and Bad News for me.
Would not honor the policy to repair or replace refrigerator. Falsely advertises what they will do and then squirms out of any commitment. Total sham!
Had American Home Shield home warranty for 15 months, and when I needed repair of my a/c unit there was no provider in my area. Big rip-off if you live in a rural area. I am in process of filing complaints.
Arrogant and untruthful in all aspects. Refused to honor policy to repair/replace refrigerator. Total sham!
Criminal Trespass
I requested a service call about a problem with our pool equipment. American Home Shield (AHS) contacted All-Clear Pool Service and emailed their contact info. That was on Thursday, I called All-Clear on Friday to see when to expect them; but I was told that my specific problem (Fault in Chlorination System) was not covered by AHS warranty. So I told All-Clear Pool Service to cancel the service call and he said no problem, thanks. (meanwhile, I called another local pool service and had the problem fixed on Saturday - NOT by AHS). Well, on Tuesday my pool failed to start at the usual 9:00 am filtering cycle! I discovered that someone had placed the pool control system in Service Mode, changed the manual control valves, and disabled our regular control settings. What happened? So I called All-Clear Pool Services and spoke to the owner, he final confessed that he and his son did go to our address, entered our property (without permission), found nothing needing repair, and then left (nobody was home he said)! My next call was to AHS where I explained and I was told " I'm sorry that happened. Don't worry about it. We will take care of the situation with the contractor so it doesn't happen again. Thanks for calling to let us know what happened." Well, the next month I received a bill from AHS for a Service Fee (All-Clear Pool Service). I called AHS again, was told I had to pay the service call because I FAILED TO CANCEL THE SERVICE CALL THROUGH AHS. I explained again that I did cancel the service call, but AHS would not remove or cancel the balance due($75). AHS even put my call on hold, called the All-Clear Pool Service to verify my claim as to what happened. AHS then told me that I had to pay because the service call was made to that address (even though I called the Friday before to cancel, and that NOBODY WAS HOME when the service call was made, and the servicing personnel entered onto our property - without any permission of the home owner. They left no intentional evidence of their visit - no invoice, no notice, only disabling and changing the pool system controls.). I told AHS that there would be no repeat of this kind of service and that if it happens again I am calling the police to charge them with criminal trespass (I still do not know what did occur while the service personnel where alone, on my property ). Beware of ANY Servicemaster Company.
claims denials
I’m writing to you seeking help. I have been an AHS customer for over two years. Back in [protected] my husband and I purchased a policy from AHS, shortly after our ceiling fan broke, we called AHS and were told that the ceiling fan was not covered so we bought a new ceiling fan. Then I found out that the fan “was” covered and when I called AHS they said that because we purchased the fan and installed it they could not refund us for the fan and installation.
Sometime in early 2014 our washer and dryer malfunctioned. I called AHS and they sent a technician who did not fix it. We called AHS to follow up and they said the repairs were not covered.
In mid-2014 a button from our stove stopped working, we called AHS who sent a technician who said that if we pressed the button real hard with our fingernail the button would work, well now there’s a hole where the button is from “pressing w/ our fingernail”. AHS said that the repair was not covered because “technically” it still worked.
Recently the lights in our kitchen kept flickering and our microwave completely stopped working. We called AHS and they sent someone to look at it. We received a denial letter from AHS saying that nothing was covered because it was caused by an “audio circuit overload”.
After paying over $1200.00 in premiums and service call fees we decided to cancel the contract. I called AHS to cancel and in an attempt to keep my business they said they were really sorry and promised to make things better by fixing the lights and replacing the microwave but first they would send another technician to look at the problem again. This was about three weeks ago. We never heard from AHS after that. Last week I called AHS to follow up and was told that nothing will be fixed. I asked to speak to a supervisor and my request was denied multiple times. Then I requested that my contract be cancelled and that they honor the promise of replacing our microwave and fixing the lights.
Today I received a voicemail stating my contract was cancelled but there was no mention of my microwave or lights. Had my contract been cancelled last month I wouldn’t have had to pay for this month’s premium and that money could have gone to a new microwave.
I’m saddened because I feel like I have been taken advantage of and robbed, and I am hoping that you can refund my premiums or replace my microwave and stove. I think that AHS has failed to honor the contract which I paid for and never had any intention of repairing any items in the contract. The repair for the lighting was quoted at $280.00 and a microwave costs about $100.00, it saddens me that AHS would not even honor a minor repair. I look forward to hearing from you.
shady / unprofessional company
Watch out for this company! My husband and I have been loyal/paying American Home Shield customers for several years now and we are currently fixing to cancel our service. Our contract covers repairs on various fixtures within our home, including our major appliances. We began having trouble with our refrigerator back in March 2014 (the problem was causing our food to be destroyed), so we went ahead and submitted a claim through American Home Shield (AHS). AHS sent an appliance repair company out to try and fix the problem, however the problem was not fixed. AHS then sent the appliance company out again, yet the problem was still not able to be fixed. After the third visit from the same appliance company, AHS decided they wanted to get a second opinion, so they sent a new appliance company out and we started the entire process over again. The second appliance company visited our residence three times and still, the issue that we were having was not able to be fixed (and we were still being forced to throw food away every couple of days). At this point, I called in and spoke to a supervisor (by the name of Rhonda) who recommended that they send the original appliance repair company out yet again for another diagnosis (mind you that each and every time a technician is sent to our house, we are provided with a four hour window for when they will arrive, which forces me to take time off of work). Fast forward to today (July 30, 2014), the issue is still not fixed and I can not take any more time off of work. I have attempted to contact the supervisor that I spoke to (Rhonda), however I've received her voice mail twice, left messages and never received a call back. The AHS contract states that if they are not able to fix an appliance, they will replace it, however it it obvious that this company is doing everything in their power to not have to make good on that contractual commitment, so five months later (and with countless personal time off hours taken from work), I am still dealing with a malfunctioning refrigerator. This type of service is completely unacceptable, unprofessional and has created an extremely dissatisfied customer.
Consider this a warning and stay far away from American Homes Shield. There are several alternative home warranty companies out there to choose from!
not fixing washer
These complain is against American Home Shield, my home
warranty company for not repairing our Washer. My name is Mangal Trivedi,
address: 13641 Heisler Street, Eastvale. CA. 92880. We are four people living in
our house, I, my wife and two kids age of 17 and 12. We bought New GE Washer
& GE Dryer from Howard appliances about four years ago. Our GE Washer
stopped working and we call American Home Shield (our Home Warranty Company) for
repair. My Contract # with AHS [protected], Service request ID # [protected].
Technician from Accord appliances came to repair washer on [protected].
Technician opened washer and he inspected whole washer and he only found broken
belt nothing else was broken in washer. Technician told us that washer is not
working because of broken belt. Technician took broken belt and with him and
told us that his company Accord Appliances will order new belt and he will be
back within five days and he will put new belt and washer will start working
again. More than 7 days passed by and no technician came by to replace broken
belt, so we called AHS and they gave us telephone number to call Accord
appliance (Repair Company). After several calls to Accord appliances, they told
us that AHS told them that they have assigned a different company to repair
washer. We called AHS several times for next 10 days and finally they sent
technician from Steve Appliance (different company). Technician from Steve
Appliance came after 10 days, he only looked at washer he did not even touch
washer machine or open washer and he left. We asked him about to replace broken
belt, Technician told us that he has a note from American Home Shield that he
has to report "Not normal wear and tear" and he does not need to open
unit or inspect washer why is not working. Technician told us that AHS has not
told him to replace broken belt. We
called AHS and they told us that washer is not cover under normal wear and
tear. We are four people living in house (Husband & wife and two kids’ age
of 17 & 12). We use all our appliances with care. There is no physical
damage found by both technicians. We called GE after we received a denial
letter from AHS and spoke with consumer service rep and we asked question that
what is normal life of this washer and they advised us 12 to 15 years. Only broken
belt was needed to replace to fix washer. Broken belt is normal wear and tear
but American Home Shield is denying. Washer is used once or twice a week for
laundry and it’s not used like refrigerator where people use many times in a
day. We were out of washer for more than a month and a half. There is no coin
up laundry in our town and nearest coin up laundry is about 20 miles away from
my home. We went about more than six times to do laundry outside (20 miles one
way). American Home Shield does not want to fix or replace washer so, two weeks
ago, I bought new LG washer from Home Depot. American Home Shield sent two
invoices for $75.00 each (invoice # [protected] & [protected]) total $150.00
and they have not fixed my washer and denying to pay for washer. Please help us
to resolve this matter with AHS. Thanks and God bless America.
without ac for almost 3 weeks
I have been a faithful customer for almost 10 years; however, this current experience with AHS has been absolutely HORRIBLE! An AHS contractor came to my home almost 2 weeks ago (in 2 days). AHS did not like what the contractor told them was wrong, so AHS sent a 2nd contractor 3 days later who told them the same thing the 1st contractor said. In the meantime, we are SUFFERING because our upstairs AC in not working in our home. All of our bedrooms are upstairs! After talking to 6 different representatives, at AHS, and being given the run around, I called corporate office. We still do NOT have AC on the top level of our home and have no idea when the contractor is coming to fix it. As I type this message, it is almost 91 degrees upstairs where my son is sleeping. This is RIDICULOUS and UNACCEPTABLE! We will NOT be renewing our contract in June when it expires and we will be sharing our experience with all of our friends and family.

crooked company
All of you that have complained before and after me are 100% percent right on one thing. They are a fraudulent insurance company and have figured out how to screw you out of your money for nothing. I will not even get into my story as it is very similar to most of yours, they just screwed us. Please make sure you all call the BBB as well. I am taking legal action against them and would advise the rest of you to do the same. Company's like this should not be in business. P.S. Make sure you all spread the word to every person you know and then some and let them know that this Insurance company is crooked.

failure to cancel account after 15 calls
Had American home shield for our home. We sold the home and called to cancel the policy. A month later we got a refund for the policy. A few days later we got a bill for American home shield. We called and they said it was an error and to disregard. A month later we received a collection notice. We called and were told the policy had not been cancelled and they would fix it since there was a record of us calling for the policy to be canceled. Every month since we have received collection notices. We call and it's the same story. I even requested for management to call and verify the account closed, they did and the next month we still got a collection notice. So they lied to me. We received a letter saying it had been closed and guess what, we received a collection notice 2 weeks later. This company is the worst. I don't care if I have to pay $200 more a month for another company. I will never use ahs again. Ever!

disputing denial of our coverage
I have been paying $47 per month on a home appliance insurance contract to American Home Shield for several years now for my home in Rancho Mirage, and was told that every appliance in my home was insured. The contract promised that AHS would repair appliances, or replace any which could not be repaired, as long as the breakdown was from normal wear and...
Read full review of American Home Shield [AHS]ahs was not able to have my refrigerator repaired within two weeks
Complaint Description:
AHS was not able to have my refrigerator repaired within two weeks On July 10, 2013 we discovered that our GE Monogram refrigerator stopped working The compressor was running 24/7 and the inside temperature was around 53-55 Degrees - should be 37-40 Degrees with normal setting This item is covered by our home appliance insurance company "American Home Shield". I called AHS about the problem and a local repair service company came the following day They did some basic test - added some refrigerant - Freon 134A. They told me that the Freon charge may resolve the problem - but they we not sure Apparently there was a very minor leak when the pressure exceeded 25 PSI The temperature came down around 45 Deg - then the compressor was making a funny noise and the temperature came back to 55 deg On July 11 I called AHS again and reported the issue I was told that they needed to located an authorized GE Monogram repair company As of July 17, 2013 they have not been able to locate an authorized GE Monogram repair company I contacted AHS again and they authorized me to locate an authorized GE Monogram repair company The company - A to Z Appliance - came to my home on July 19, 2013 - late afternoon. As the refrigeration has been stopped for more than 10 days the technician requested it to be running overnight before he could diagnose it He left and A to Z Appliance called me July 20 and told me that I had to pay for the entire repair up-front Based on this decision I told them not to come back I went to Sears and purchased a new refrigerator the following day - paid $ 2950 including tax, delivery and installation My wife and kids life is back to normal
Your Desired Resolution:
Below is a brief summary of my expenses: 1st service call $ 125.00 Spoiled food $ 325.00 Small compact Refrigerator from Lowes $ 140.00 2nd service call $ 75 Replacement refrigerator from Sears $ 2, 950.00 The refrigerator I had was much more expensive that the one we purchased I would propose a $ 1, 750.00 settlement

when we need them they are not there for us
I have been a customer of AHS for over 10 years, paying in thousands of dollars for peace of mind that if something major breaks down in my home it will be covered. Well 2 days ago my A.C. unit that is in my attic started leaking through my living room ceiling so I called AHS. I had a serviceman here today and it seemed obvious that he was NOT going to fix my problem. He said the coils inside the unit were clogged up with dirt and the coil would have to be removed and cleaned but AHS would not cover that because we must have at sometime not changed filter regularly. We do change our filters every 45 days so that was just an assumption on his part. All I know is he was outside on his phone for a while and AHS called me and said they would not cover the cost because that was a maintenance issue. We have never removed the top of the AC unit and never knew we should. I am just pissed off because they have banked a lot of money from us and when we need them they are not there for us.
what was the resolution? I have the exact issue and AHS is not taking responsibility- Terrible company
did AHS eventually helped? I just filed complaint
fraudulent business
AHS claims they are a home warranty company. They contract with incompetent companies whose main purpose is to collect your $60 deductible service fee.
AHS contract generally will pay for minor problems. If you have a major plumbing or electrical problem, forget it, because their contract have clauses that is foolproof in helping them avoid those.
I had a broken sewer pipe in my home. After more than 1 week of talking to AHS, I was finally informed that they can fix the pipe but my contract does not cover access to the pipe. How else can a pipe under the floor be fixed if AHS does not cover access to the pipe.
MY ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC :DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. READ BEFORE YOU SIGN. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SIGNED PLEASE REVIEW.

American Home Shield is the number one fraudulent company in America. I want to let people be aware that this company is a fraud. They take money from you but when you have a problem they come up with reasons why they will not solve the problem that their client is paying for. This company stole from me for 2 years. They are training criminals as customer service. All the employers working under this fraudulent company called American home shield are criminals..A
AHS-CHARLOTTE
They should be banned i ask them to come out to fix my ac-united that's knocking in the top of my ceiling and i paid the $60. and all the repair man did was put duck tape around the coil and said, should hold and guess what it back doing the same thing so i stop paying them now them want me to pay them the rest of the money how bout that now ain't funny. They are not worth you're money your better off using your own home warranty!
P.S Do Not was AHS nor Choice Home Warranty!
never covered
Ahs is a ripoff!
I had then some years ago, cancelled when my covered hot water heater all of a sudden wasn't covered. The contractor beat feet with the $ before I was off the phone.
I checked out another, choice home warranty... I wouldn't recommend tham to anyone for anything. Good money thrown away. Same situation as the one above.
I decided that having a well I should get something. Stupidly signed up again with ahs.
Guess what? My well pump burned a bearing, stopped working. I called ahs. I was paying an additional premium to cover the well pump.
The tech came out, accepted only cash, and began to sort out the problem. With most of the unit apart, the guy calls ahs for their approval. Of course I wasn't approved. Now I was in a bind. I asked the tech what he would charge to put in the new pump. I would accept his offer if the upfront cash was part of the deal. He was off to home depot, bought a new pump and installed it. After looking at the cost of the warranty insurance, the cost of the pump service I figured (Finally) that any & all home warranty plans are ripoffs.
Washer breaks, call a service man, refer breaks, call a service man. The long & short is this: whatever you pay for service is going to be cheaper than what you pay monthly for a warranty service that won't pay anyway.
Still unsure? Put $50 a month away in an envelope. By the time you need to use it you will probably pay the bill (In cash) and have change!
Ahs? Stay the hell away from them!
They are legal crooks!

Same thing happened to us...Please file a complaint with the BBB. I am on a campaign as we cannot let a company rip off the public.
please let me know what outcome, AHS is just a ripoff and will our time to complaint work? I tried calling them and agents can not speak English to explain and they are RUDE
I feel ya there Amy. Same situation. It leaves you to wonder, how does it get resolved, or does it even get resolved? Just because AHS tags it as "Resolved", means nothing to me. I keep getting lied to.
Service
It took me over 3 weeks to get an appointment with Sears through American Home Shield to fix my built in Microwave. The appointment was between 1 pm & 5 pm and they were supposed to call me the day of the appointment, which was a week away to let me know exactly what time the service person would show up. The morning of the appointment I prepared veggies to be put in the pressure canner but waited to pressure them until after the appointment so the stove would not be hot for the service person. At 3:30 on the day of the appointment I had not heard from sears so I called to verify they for sure was coming. The person answering calls said he would check with dispatch and has them call me with a time. About 3 minutes later I got an automated phone call informing me my appointment had been canceled and for me to call to reschedule. I called to reschedule and needless to say I was not a happy camper. The appointment they gave me is a week and a half away! They said dispatch had overbooked the service which was coming from Houston…Do you believe that? I don’t! I ask for a local number so I could voice my dissatisfaction but he said he was not allowed to give out that info. All I can call is a call station out of state and I might get someone in the United States or someone in the Middle East! I like their products but I will NEVER buy from them again because of taking so long to service their product! The last time I called American Home Shield about a wiring problem they sent out someone from American Quality Electric in Houston, Texas who took my $60.00 and Said American Home Shield would not pay for that and left. I never heard from American Home Shield. American Home Shield has never paid a claim for me!

not honoring warranty
I thought I had a stoppage in my bathroom plumbing line. I called American Home Shield(AHS) and asked them to send a plumber. I knew that would be near impossible because all the plumbers I had talked to in my area refused to do business with them. At any rate AHS told my they would try to locate a plumber within 2 hrs, if unsuccessful I could use my own plumber. AHS couldn't find anyone. I called my local plumber that I have used for many years. He came out and took a look and told me that I had a breakage under my house due to wear and raw sewage was leaking under there as well as methane gas which is the by product of raw sewage. I called AHS and told them this information. My plumber also called them and spent an hour on the phone with them trying to make them understand the danger this posed to my home and health. He also submitted an estimate. I was told by rep that I would need a second opinion. I agreed to that. She told me she would have to locate a plumber to come out. She actually found someone then. So this guy, Larry, comes out, looks under my house and runs a snake out toward the road. What he pulls out may or may not be a small piece of clay pipe, definitely not roots. He tells me my line is clear and if there is a breakage it should be fine because of the soil around it... really? I call my original plumber to tell him that they had fixed it and that it was just a stoppage. He tells me, no. There are multiple breaks under your house and you are at risk. The second plumber will need to run a camera under the house to see it, not just shine a flashlight. Here is a quote from my plumber" Had a Customer in Rockdale call about a stoppage...Upon arrival I checked under his house to find raw sewage in a couple of major areas...His buried Sewer line under the house was cast iron and falling apart due to "Normal wear"...Suggested he call his warranty Company that he has been paying since he bought his home 15 years ago. They asked me to give them an Estimate on required repairs...I gave them a very low price to replace. They told me they were going to get another quote (normal practice by Insurance Co's) This was not a problem because the Home Owner's other bathroom was working fine... American Home Shield (AHS) called a Plumbing Company (out of College Sta.) to unclog his sewer and paid him $300? Now he has City Sewer Gas in his house! This is a dangerous situation... Methane is odorless, explosive not to mention Deadly. The Plumber only unclogged the line and made no repairs because "That is all they were called out to do by AHS" The Tub/Shower can not be used or water will run out on to the ground under his house. Keep in mind, the home owner originally wanted me to unclog his sewer... until I explained that he would need the Sewer replaced immediately afterwards due to the breaks in his line (Both, above and below ground...and all under his house). That is when he requested me to call AHS. Comes now, AHS is refusing to pay for any more work. Simply because they claim he had a stoppage and now it is fixed? My Customer of several years... is beside himself as to what to do!" I called the second plumber and asked him what he was paid to do at my house. Was it for a second opinion? He got loud and angry fast and told me he was paid to fix a stoppage which he did. I agreed that he did fix the stoppage. But what about the break in my line? He got more angry and stated that " I WAS PAID TO COME OUT, THAT THERE WAS A STOPPED UP LINE NOT ABOUT A BREAKAGE and AHS TOLD THEY ARE NOT GOING TO FIX IT. IT IS OVER, I WAS NOT SENT TO FIX A BUSTED LINE UNDER YOUR HOUSE" and we exchanged strong opinions over the matter. I called AHS and was told by yet another rep that the stoppage was fixed and the case is closed. After reviewing my contract I called again to report a new problem... a break in my line. I was told They'd need to send someone out to check. I told them not to send Larry but then was told that he was the only one they would send or I could pay to have one of my own. So I agreed to have him come back out but this time to look for a break in the line under my house. Did he? No, he promptly told them that the breakage was outside out my home's foundation and there were roots in the line... two thing AHS doesn't cover, mind you, this was after I called him and asked him what he was paid to do. So I get call from AHS and spoke to a rep who said, and I quote, " We will not honor our warranty until you fix the main line breakage" This is not in my contract. No where does it state that repairs must be made anywhere on my property before they will honor their warranty. Be sure to note tha they were involved in a class action lawsuit settlement for breech of contract. The litigation is about not making repairs and replacement per the contract.

home ac shotty repairs
This is the 3rd time I am having to deal with my home ac. The 1st time they came out they claimed to put a new compressor in the unit. Then a few months went by and the unit went out again. The 2nd technician stated that the original compressor was in the unit still! He replaced it really this time I saw him. That was a huge ordeal itself. Of course no part and then days later it was fixed. I thought it was. This call was even considered an emergency due to my infant. Now it is at it again. Another day off work and another shotty patch job in the works. I would attach pics of the dinasaur but i cant from my iphone for some reason
