Put oil in my transmission when they did a fluid exchange.
On 4/14/2023 at 8:18 am I had a transmission fluid exchange on a Buick LeSabre LE. My car has been breaking down since then. It started overheating. The car started slipping gears. I have replaced radiator, hoses, thermostat . Then we look at transmission fluid and find out that they put oil instead of transmission fluid when they did the fluid exchange. This was at the American LubeFast #8411, Thomasville Georgia, I called them and Bubba spoke to me rudely, like a customer is suppose to know there employee messed up my car.
Desired outcome: I feel like they should refund my money and compensate me for some of the repairs I have done. I don't even know if I can even get this car fixed, Please respond back to my complaint. I certainly don't want them to work on my car again.
The service that I received
I went to get my oil changed at 2413 Sylvester Hwy Albany, Ga. When I got the re there was another car in the Bay Area. The man came to my car and asked what am I getting he lifted my hood and came and got my sticker from the window. He went and got in the other car behind the wheel and then came back to get an oil thing from the wall . All this stuff that...

I went to their location on Michigan ave to have spark plugs changed and they did not advise me I needed more then that was bought. Then he did not put one in the keep after I left not knowing. And their company denies I was even there or the work was even done there. Ask Eric their area manager. Then I got work done at another location. Olive road and wires in my spark plugs and used an impact to secure 3 of the plugs in. They did have it towed to their 9 mile shop which I will say they are pretty professional thete and told me part of what was wrong. Brought it to outside me magic and the above items and actions caused my Jeep to have a head gasket leak and I am looking got legal avenues with the company. I just want fixed. what was damaged by tgis company and the amount i had to have another mechanic go behind and fix some of it. i dont suggest going only for an oil change only nothing major. The area manager told me that i dont havr proof of getting work done at the firet location
Desired outcome: Repair head gasket. Complete refund of both 215.00 with spark plugs and the labor of the mechanic had to get to repair
flushing out antifreeze
I brought my used truck to the American lube on Hwy 43 in Saraland. Al today for an oil change . I had just bought the used truck today and wanted to make sure it was changed. It was a 2002 Ford Ranger that I was going to use as work truck. I told them that I wanted the oil change with air filter and check the fluids. They told me that I needed to flush the radiator system out and put in new antifreeze. I didn't know the consequences when you flush out an older truck with a lot of miles and they didn't Inform me when I told them to do it. So when they did it it started leaking antifreeze on my manifold and smoke was coming out of hood. I went back to them right away and they had no idea what to do . I know they are not mechanics and was trying to upsell which is ok with me but they should what could happen and give me the options. I took it to a mechanic this evening and he told me that flushing out old truck can cause leaks when all the keys is taken out . What happen is the heater coil is now leaking and it will cost me $800 to fix it. I have not told the store this yet because they were closed when I finished talking to mechanic. My mechanic told me that they should have advised me before doing. I paid them $89.00 to flush out and now it cost me$800 to fix. I feel strongly that they should have known this could happened but the sale was probably more important. I have talked to Tim Embrey before several years ago so I know he understand my feelings.
oil change problems
I took my 2004 Envoy XL to American Lube on 3250 Michigan Avenue, Pensacola, Florida for a simple oil change. Upon leaving and turning my truck off, the blower continues to run, even as truck is totally turned off. I returned to American Lube and asked if one of the technicians had possibly bumped something. Dan the manager said no. Iam very unhappy because it was not doing that before I came there, Friday, December 15th. I have been having problems with my vehicle since having this oil changed and I want something done about it ASAP, because now I have no heat in my truck. Dan suggested just unplug fuse. How can a woman keep stopping going under a hood unplugging a fuse. Long story short, the blower was not continuously blowing when truck was off until I got this oil change. Please call me and I will inform you of the history of why my truck is in this condition. I have been ignored by management for two years after main mechanic left. Not fair!
oil change in cumming, ga
I have been a long time customer of American lubefast, the only place I get my oil changed. I live in mobile, al, I usually get my oil changed at the moffett road location. Mr. Cordell usually services my car and does a great job. I drive a 2008 Toyota highlander.
The location in cumming, ga where i last took my car, mishandled my oil change and has caused damage to my car. Yesterday my car indicated "low oil pressure" on the screen.
I took my car in today at to my usual lubefast location and they are going to try to take care of it.
I had to take an Uber ride back to my house after and I will have to rent a car until my vehicle is repaired. Not sure how long that will take. I want to make sure my car is repaired and I am compensated for my trouble.
I appreciate your cooperation. I would love to continue doing business with American lubefast.
Sincerely,
Shilpa Burkett
employees
I have been serviced at your store in gulf breeze I have seen two of your employees walk down on the pit with light cigarettes and said some racial slurs down to who ever works in the pit I'm sure he gets up set but he doesn't yell back at them he just takes and does the work and doesn't complain the last time I was there he still smiles and says drive safe and have a nice day
beware
I took my car in for a simple oil change and was told I needed an engine flush and an engine additive. I agreed after hearing their pitch for 5 minutes. After $137 I was on my two mile journey home. The next day as I was on my way to work my car started sputtering, shaking, and then the check engine light came on. I had to have to towed back to the location. The guys said they could have not tightened a hose or they could have put something on incorrectly. After an hour and a half they still could not find what was wrong. I have my Mazda towed (again...2nd time in two days) to the Mazda dealership. Apparently something was dropped into (or on) some sensor and cause something to happen. I am still waiting for my car to be fixed and when I do it is going to cost me a $260 to fix. I promise you I will NEVER go to this place again. I will never go to one of those places again...Buyer Beware!
