American Medical Association [AMA] a walk in urgent care clinic

On Saturday night, July 7, 2018, I started experiencing terrible pain in my right eye. I almost went to the emergency room. I got through the night and was still having bad pain in my eye the following day which was Sunday. I decided to go to Dr. G's Urgent Care Clinic at 1425 S. Congress Avenue in Delray Beach, FL 33445. The Physician Assistant examined me and told me I had conjunctivitis. I thought that was strange because my eye was not red or tearing. He then prescribed an eye drop for me. I went to Walgreens to fill it. Walgreens told me I must not use that medicine because I was allergic to it. The PA had my admission papers in his hands which clearly stated the medicines I am allergic to. Walgreens got the clinic to order a different eye drop. The next day, I went to see my optometrist, Michael Silverman, in Coral Springs, Florida. He said I definitely did not have conjunctivitis. He examined me and found nothing. Suggested I get an MRI. My primary care physician, Dr. Neena Yoyakey, ordered and MRI of my eye orbits.
I was very upset and called Dr. G's to inform them that I had been misdiagnosed and given medicine I was allergic to. I was very polite and simply asked for my $120 fee to be returned to me. I was told they have a NO REFUND POLICY. I did not think that was relevant if they perform malpractice. I even went back in to the facility to talk with the owner, Dr. Melissa Graber. She would not speak with me and had her staff notify me that there would be no refund. She was willing to give me a credit towards future visits there. Of course, I would NEVER return there. I do not think it is unreasonable to have my payment of $120 refunded to me. I didn't threaten anything. I just wanted my money refunded. I consider this whole situation very unethical at the least.

American Medical Association [AMA] hateful social posts

Hello,

I used to work for over 200 Surgeons and was wondering if the AMA has any guidelines on Doctors hateful social postings? A woman has had tweeted a lot of hateful things and claims to be an MD. It is unsettling that a physician would be blinded with political hate and blatantly refuse to acknowledge the truth. I have seen many Doctors offer their opinions, their point of view, or perspective. Whether you agree or not, they were polite and civil.

Dr Kelly Sennholz, MD @MtnMD caught quite a bit of attention lately. Some tweets deleted. It is alarming to see an MD wish ill will.

As I am typing, she posted this - "Your children will be tormented every day of your adult life, because of the evil you spread. They will be vicious names everywhere and will have to change their names because of the SHAME you brought upon them. This is just a fact."

American Medical Association [AMA] calvary cabs in poughkeepsie, ny - unethical behavior

I'll start off by saying that if I could give negative stars, I would. This company is an absolute joke. If you want to actually make it to your appointment, do not use this company. They were 10 minutes late both times they showed up (we'll get into the time they did not next). The first driver was very nice and helpful and we were hopeful although the van was not very clean and the front seat did not have a seatbelt for the aide. The second time they were scheduled to come, my mother called a few hours before the appointment and was told that they had to cancel, no explanation given as to why they had to do so (we would not have known if we were not proactive about calling). This past time is the very last time I will allow the insurance to choose to use this company. The driver manhandled my handicapped mother while trying to get her into the "standard" wheelchair (I have this on video as we have security cameras). It seemed as though they did not want to deal with bringing my mother to her appointments as we had a set 4pm appointment for the next month, 3 times a week. The driver claimed he didn't feel she was far enough back in the seat to be able to take her and called his Supervisor almost right away to tell them it was not going to work, without trying or listening to anything my mother's aide had to say. The Aide suggested just using the transport chair we have as that is what the same company used the 1st time she was transported by this same company and the man refused saying there was no way to secure it in the van (obviously untrue as it had already been done). The driver then proceeded to flat out lie and say another company was on their way (which they were not). If your insurance tries to insist on using this company, ask for a Supervisor and go ahead and cite this review as a need for them to use better judgment.

American Medical Association [AMA] alpha home health care

My name is, Erica Allen. I have been wrongly discharged
from the Alpha Home Health Care without notice. I spoke with the DRN (David), and he stated to me the
reason for my discharge was my physical therapist, and
Nurse were unable to locate me. David stated that it was
also due to the fact I have a dog. I DO NOT have a dog, and haven't ever had a dog since I've lived here.My
Landlord can vouch for that. I have requested numerous
times for a change of nurses due to the fact that my nurse, (Demi) has continued to be very rude, and requesting me to sign his forms before doing any of the
work he was sent to do for me. Demi has also gone to
two of my nabours and talked to them about me and
my case, which is against the law. Both nabours are willing to make statements stating that fact. I am
completely blind and need these services. When I spoke
to David on the phone, he pretty much called me a lyer.
I am more than willing to provide documentation proving my case.

American Medical Association [AMA] issue is why would a patient with a previous neck injury be put into a neck machine without proper assessment

I am writing this letter to inform you about an incident that occurred at Physicians Diagnostic and Rehabilitation in Burnsville Minnesota on March 28th 2018 that caused a significant neck injury.
My provider at CDI referred me to PDR for treatment of low back pain as conventional PT was not working. On March 27th I saw the PA named Lindsey to assess my back so she could make a treatment plan. On my form it is noted that I do have a fusion at C5-C6 and had a treatment for a cervical strain in the past year. I did mention that I had some neck pain that week, but have a physical therapist for that. She did no assessment of my neck. The next day I had talked with the OT and mentioned about the fact that some of my spine issues may be related to pressing newly designed heavy overhead bins at work and that I had PT for a neck strain. I told her my therapist tried to get aggressive with the weights and it did not work. We did a back machine then moved to a neck machine. I did not feel comfortable doing this machine and asked if she knew I had a fusion in my neck. She assured me it would be OK. Needless to say I ended up in urgent care with a severe neck strain caused by this machine. 12 weeks of physical therapy last year undone. I was put on steroids that helped in the past and Lindsey had called in the morning to check on me. Needless to say after the steroids wore off I was left in excruciating pain. This became apparent to me that this was nothing like my previous injury in that area. I now have a medical bill for Urgent Care and talking to Todd the owner via telephone said they would not cover any of my medical expenses but later agreed to not bill me for my 2 visits . A primary care physician at Fairview Clinic in Savage on April 12th has assessed I will need further treatment. Dr. Lindsey at Watkins Chiropractic in Savage had done assessment of my neck earlier in the month. Her new assessment done on April 12 has shown a decline in my neck motion.
Issue is why would a patient with a previous neck injury be put into a neck machine without proper assessment?
I was referred for treatment of my back pain, not neck pain.
This provider does not have any insurance to cover my medical expenses after receiving an injury at their facility.
This situation has caused me a lot of pain at the 10 level at times and emotional upset, but the owner of PDR seams unsympathetic.
I'd like them to pay my medical expenses.

I have tolerated it because of location to her dr's. Office... Six weeks ago I brought her in for semi
Annual blood test only to find out six weeks later there are no results and no record of the test...

It is very troubling to learn of missing blood from any medical facility!

American Medical Association [AMA] unethical behaviour

My 9-month old baby had ear discharge and 1st time saw ENT Doctor Shane Pahlavan, MD(practicing in Allen, TX 75013) on August 08, 2017 at 2:30pm.

He told us the baby ears are not infected but lots of fluid buildup and would cause being speechlessly even though he is losing 20% hearing capability at that time. He suggested the ear tube surgery even though it's the 1st time baby is having ear discharge (it's not even infected as what the doctor said).

I didn't confirm about doing the surgery yet but the doctor office called me 2 days later saying we need to be at the hospital the next day for surgery and we will have to pay $2900 co pay after insurance coverage.
I tried to call the office to cancel the surgery if it was scheduled without my consent. But no one returned my call.

I took my baby to other two different doctors and no one expressed the same concern to my baby. No surgery needed too. They have my baby on antibiotics and will follow up after two weeks.
