Fraud alert discrepancy
My card was blocked due to the sensitive fraud alert (do not get fraud alerts because it blocks your card when you have scheduled transactions)and could not get it unblock for some odd reason so I could not get my money out. Fraud alert service told me my card was no good but it wasn’t yet expired. Told me they couldn’t unblock my card. They told me I had to wait and go to the branch to get a new card.
Good thing I was not stuck in a serious situation where I NEEDED MY (MY) money extremely inconvenient. Also I was on hold for hour and thirty minutes to speak with customer service. Best to keep your money in a safe because when you deal with banks and credit unions they have control of your money. I know it’s convenient for paying bills in all but that’s just inconvenient not being able to access funds
Recommendation: Do not recommend
Great local service
Great local service. However, when I tried to transfer money online to my retirement t account and online bank, they took a really long time to complete it. They gave me dates that were 5 weeks out and 6 days out, which I think is not okay.
They are absolutely horrible
They are absolutely horrible. I had auto pay set up with them. They didn't remove the money 1 month out of my account. Then decided to report it as a non-payment. I lost 80 points on my credit! I had no late payment prior on any of my accounts. They messed up, you pay the price! It cost me my refy on my house!

Changing rules for deposits to hold funds and collect overdraft. Rearranging charges to obtain more overdraft charges. Poor customer service and rude. Review:
They keep changing the rules for deposits, making it difficult to hold onto your funds and increasing the chances of overdraft. They also rearrange charges to squeeze out more overdraft fees. The customer service is terrible and the staff is rude. They keep changing the rules for deposits, making it difficult to hold onto your funds and increasing the chances of overdraft. So my car insurance was supposed to hold my payment for 3 days but they went ahead and charged me early than they were supposed to, which once again led to overdraft fees. Now my bank has charged me with two overdraft fees and I tried going into my bank for help, but they refused to assist me. Now I have to file a complaint against them because they were of no help.

I had a loan that came 2 days early, and because of that, I got charged an overdraft fee. I went to the bank in Leeds, Alabama to fix the problem, but they refused to assist me. I've been a loyal customer of this bank since 2007, but the service is sometimes poor. If this issue isn't resolved soon, I'll probably switch to another bank.

I don't got no contract with this company, and these clowns are tryin' to make me pay money I don't owe
I don't got no contract with this company, and these clowns are tryin' to make me pay money I don't owe. I done filed a dispute 'bout the incorrect stuff on my credit report. It's been way more than 30 days and I ain't got no investigation results yet. Please take off this wrong item from my credit report and stop with them annoyin' phone calls.

So, I bought some stuff from eBay that turned out to be no good. I sent the items back because they were defective and had a warranty under eBay's 30-day refund policy. I made sure to send them back within the 30 days, but then I found out that my account was suspended and eBay wouldn't help me out. So, I contacted my bank like eBay told me to do. I went to one of their branches and filed a complaint, and they told me I had 120 days, not 60 days, to file a complaint. But now my bank sent me a letter saying it was actually 60 days. So, it seems like I was given wrong information by my bank.
I disputed this debt with a late payment listed with the credit bureaus and it came back verified
I disputed this debt with a late payment listed with the credit bureaus and it came back verified. I've been trying to contact this credit union, but no luck. Where are the documents your company used to verify that you're reporting these accounts right? What's the name of the person in your company who verified the accuracy of this account? What documents did they use to verify them? Please give me the name of that person, their company title, and phone number, and copies of the documents they used to verify that this disputed item is reported right. I want the late payment taken off the account.
America's First Federal Credit Union charged me for insurance even though I already had insurance and had sent proof of insurance to my insurer
America's First Federal Credit Union charged me for insurance even though I already had insurance and had sent proof of insurance to my insurer. I have all the documentation showing the dates of my insurance coverage and the communication with both my insurer and America's First. Despite this, they still excessively charged me for almost 5 months of insurance, causing my vehicle to become over 90 days past due. As a result, they seized my truck. I had to pay over $1000 to retrieve my vehicle, not including rental fees and the cost of towing the truck from Ogden, Utah to Idaho. Additionally, I had to deal with the inconvenience of the impound and the hassle of trying to correct the inaccuracies with America's First. Now, when I check my credit report, it still shows that my vehicle was repossessed. Your team wrongly charged me and unlawfully took my vehicle. I demand compensation for the time I was without a vehicle, as well as the charges for removing it from the impound, or I will seek legal advice.

They got an account listed on my credit report as a Collection/Chargeoff with a balance which is illegal according to 15 U.S.C. §§ 1681-1681x. Also, any attempts to harm my credit history and rating by updating or changing dates after you been informed that the debt is expired, is a direct violation of the FDCPA. Any abuse to my credit rating on your part will be met with all recourse available to me by the law. You are illegally trying to collect an alleged debt and money that I don't owe. As per the law, stop and don't do any more collection activity, including credit reporting. Quickly ask to delete any previous credit reporting to credit reporting agencies. I have disputed this debt with the credit bureaus and it came back verified. I have since then contacted the company and haven't got a response. Where are the documents that your company used to verify that you are reporting these accounts accurately?
I used the account in March and put money in so it wouldn't go negative
I used the account in March and put money in so it wouldn't go negative. I told the lady I wanted to close it and she said she would. But now, more than a year later, I got 2 letters saying I owed money, even though my account was supposed to be closed. I went to the branch and found out my account was still open. My COVID stimulus check was deposited there and I thought I would get a paper check instead. There was money deposited that I didn't know about, and now they're saying I have transactions from March to August 2022 that I don't know anything about. They can only get some of the money back and they didn't even try to refund me for over a year of service fees, even though I didn't use them. I didn't know my account was still open because the lady said she closed it. I want my money back in the account and for them to fix their employee lying to me.

On Friday, May 6, I went to America's First Credit Union because they had an advertisement claiming to be better than a bank with no hidden fees. I walked into the building and noticed that there were only four seats available, with two already taken. Finally, I found an open seat and sat down. As I was sitting, I noticed that everyone else seemed to be with someone.
Suddenly, a lady came out and asked if I needed something notarized. I replied, "No, I actually want to open a checking account." She then asked for my driver's license, which I handed over. She entered the information into the computer and asked if my address was correct. I confirmed that it was. Next, she requested my social security number, and I provided it to her. Then, she asked if I owned or rented a property. I told her that I rented, and she informed me that I needed to be approved.
After a while, she returned with the news that my application had been denied. I asked her why, and she explained that she couldn't access my credit report. I pointed out that she hadn't asked me to authorize a credit check. She responded by saying that my credit report was blocked. I exclaimed, "Yes! I demand compensation for this illegal act!"
I waited for like 3 months to hear back from AFCU about a problem with my account
I waited for like 3 months to hear back from AFCU about a problem with my account. Some jerk stole a bunch of money from me, like thousands of dollars. It totally wiped out my savings. AFCU told me I had to file charges and make a police report before they could investigate. So, I did all that and even got a warrant for the person's arrest. Then, the bank told me to go to the nearest branch and give them a copy of the statement showing the fraudulent charges. My son and I did that, but then we had to wait another month. Finally, we got a letter saying they wouldn't give me any of my money back. They said it was because I willingly gave my card to the person. But come on, I'm an old lady with COPD, and I was scared to leave the house because of COVID. So, either my son or my granddaughter would go for me. And one time, my granddaughter took my card info and started moving money from my savings to her account. I didn't even know until my account was empty. And then, I got hit with $500 in overdraft fees, and they were about to send me to collections even though I had already filed the investigation. Now the Birmingham police are looking for my granddaughter. I don't get it. If the police can charge her for something I supposedly let her do, why won't AFCU give me my money back? I think AFCU doesn't care about me, and I want them to look into this more.
