So I went to Apex Imports to get my Camaro key cut
So I went to Apex Imports to get my Camaro key cut. Turns out, the key wasn't cut properly. I usually just use the fob, so I never really needed the key before. When I explained the situation to them, the manager said that unless I'm buying another car, they can't do anything about it. Can you believe that?
We agreed on a trade-in value for the purchase price and I accepted it
We agreed on a trade-in value for the purchase price and I accepted it. But then they said they couldn't stick to the deal. They claimed they made a "mistake" and wouldn't honor it. They lied about the cost of my vehicle even after saying they spoke to the dealer. I have the *** sticker as proof of their dishonesty.
I bought a car from Apex Imports and realized that the AC was broken on my way home
I bought a car from Apex Imports and realized that the AC was broken on my way home. They said their service department would check it out, but they couldn't fix it and suggested going to***. I went there and it cost me $1,500. I tried reaching out to the sales team, manager, and service department to talk about the problem and the cost, but they never called me back. If I had known, I would have returned the vehicle the same day I drove it off their lot.

I bought a 2016 red *** from Apex Imports in January
I bought a 2016 red *** from Apex Imports in January . The car had 10K miles on it. Recently, I took it for a state inspection and found out that the window tint is illegal in NC. Apex Imports sold me a car that doesn't meet the legal requirements in NC. I didn't know this when I drove the car off the lot, and Apex Imports didn't tell me about it when I bought it.
On May 1, I went to Apex Imports to trade in my Chevy Cruze for a Nissian Rouge
On May 1, I went to Apex Imports to trade in my Chevy Cruze for a Nissian Rouge. I filled out the online application with $0 down, and they said I was approved for the Nissian. They even promised to pay off my Chevy. I signed the paperwork and left with the Nissian, but they didn't give me any paperwork.
Later, they called me and said they made a mistake. They had accidentally put down that there was a $1500 down-payment. They wanted to know when I was going to pay it. It's been a month now, and I'm still getting calls about missing a payment on my Chevy Cruze, even though I haven't had it for almost a month.
To make matters worse, they checked my credit 8 times with the same loan company. Now, I have to make the payment on the Chevy Cruze that I no longer have. It's been quite a hassle dealing with all these issues.
On July 21, 2022, I took my son to Apex Imports to buy a car
On July 21, 2022, I took my son to Apex Imports to buy a car. He bought the car and did all the paperwork, and I paid the down payment using my credit card. He got insurance for his car. Then, on Monday, August 8th, I got the car's tag and a tax bill in my name. Somehow, they registered the car under my name. I called the dealership four times, leaving two voicemails and messages with two employees. I also sent emails to the company, but no one has helped me yet. I really need this fixed because the car should be registered under my son's name since he bought it, has the loan, and has insurance for it.
On May 1, we bought a car from Apex Imports and found out later that there was an extra charge for a security system we didn't want
On May 1, we bought a car from Apex Imports and found out later that there was an extra charge for a security system we didn't want. We asked for a refund for the*** security system because we never talked about buying it with the dealer before, and I think they added it without asking us or giving us time to think about it. We sent a couple of emails to the dealership and finally got a response from the general manager about four days later. They said they would refund us the amount of the system and use it to pay off the loan. We agreed to that. But after waiting for several months, it never happened, and now they're not returning our emails or phone calls anymore.
In January, I bought a car from Apex Imports
In January, I bought a car from Apex Imports. They also convinced me to get an extended warranty, which seemed like I had no choice but to get. However, after talking to a few people, I found out that it was actually optional and could be canceled. I called the employee I dealt with and they told me not to cancel it. After a few back-and-forths, we agreed that I could cancel it for a fee of $50. I filled out a form and made the payment in February. I followed up with Apex multiple times, but they kept saying it was still being processed. The loan amount didn't change, so I called the lender and the warranty company. The warranty company confirmed that the warranty was canceled, but the lender said they hadn't received any information about it. It's been 5 months now, and we just want to move on from this.
Dealership said I could bring my vehicle into any repair shop
Dealership said I could bring my vehicle into any repair shop. They apparently lied. I tried to repair my vehicle at a certified *** shop. I bought a 36 month vehicle warranty through Apex Motors in May . I stated to the dealership that I'm a military member and do not live in the local area. I asked if it was possible to bring it into a certified *** dealership to repair the 2015 X4. They are located about 2 hours away from Ft. ***, and there are times I would not be able to bring it back to them. Of course, they told me I could take this back to a certified repair shop and the warranty would cover the repairs. They needed to make a quick sale and told me it would not be a problem getting it repaired at a local certified *** repair shop. It's Oct 2020 and my AC compressor failed and the blind spot sensor is faulty. I tried to make a claim but was denied. The warranty service sold to me by Apex Imports said I had to bring it into their repair shop for service. I called Apex Imports and the warranty company to help me fix this problem. I will now have to drive 2 hours away, drop it off, come back to Ft ***, leave it there for a week and come back for another 4 hours of driving. The warranty service rep and apex both said they could not help me. So if I moved to ***, they would expect me to drive back to *** and get my car fixed. I feel like I was lied to straight to my face by a dealership that wanted a quick sale. I now have to spend 8 hours of driving just to get my car fixed.
I bought a 2018 vehicle from Apex Imports on 07/09/2022
I bought a 2018 car from Apex Imports on 07/09/2022. I've been trying to reach Apex's finance and Titling Dept. for 2 months now to get my vehicle registration. They keep giving me the runaround. I've been patient, but I've never dealt with this kind of issue at a dealership before. I did everything I was supposed to do on my end. I'm really confused why it's taking 2 months and still no vehicle registration. When I call, they tell me to text (kind of suspicious..), and when I finally reach someone, they tell me to call someone else, and I never get any useful information. It's so tiring. I just want my vehicle registration so I can relax. I'll never buy a vehicle from them again. Now the DMV in my home state of VA is contacting me about my plates and vehicle insurance, and they're threatening to suspend my license because my license plates, which I wanted transferred, are still registered to my old vehicle. I transferred my insurance to my new 2018 car, and my insurance company canceled my insurance on my old vehicle, as expected. But the DMV doesn't have any information about that because Apex hasn't sent my registration to the DMV to show that I no longer have my old vehicle, even though they said they would transfer the tags for me. I just want this all sorted out. I absolutely cannot have my license suspended because I'm a CDL driver and that's how I make a living. This doesn't make any sense. I don't understand what the hold up is. None of this is my fault. I did everything I was supposed to do. This dealership is putting my livelihood at risk! Someone needs to take responsibility. I need clear answers, not more runaround.
I bought a 2018 Mercedes GLS 450 from Apex Imports (owned by Hannah imports) on June 7th
I bought a 2018 Mercedes GLS 450 from Apex Imports (owned by Hannah imports) on June 7th. I bring the car home and it leaks oil all over my concrete driveway. (see pictures) Also, the turn signals don't work and the passenger front seat won't adjust. I take the car back the next day and they keep it for 2 days. They never call to give an update. Finally, they say I can pick up the car - but when I get home, it's still leaking, the turn signal goes out again, and the seat still won't adjust. They tell me to bring it back, but I can't until my next day off. Before I can take it back, I start it up and EVERY LIGHT POSSIBLE is on. (see pictures) There's a message that says - call the dealership. Do not change gears. They tow the car back to the dealership. I've owned this car for 37 days and the dealership has had it for 19! To avoid taking Ubers, they gave me a loaner - a Toyota Camry. I drive to the grocery store and the gas light comes on. I get to the gas station and the gas tank won't open. A stranger had to pry it open for me. The next day, it starts pouring rain and the wipers don't work! I'm terrified, so I call the dealership in tears. They agree to give me an SUV as a loaner. A Chevy Equinox. I didn't buy a Camry or an Equinox. I bought a luxury car with a 3rd row seat. I had my granddaughters for the summer, which is why I bought a car with a 3rd row. I've had to cancel plans and road trips with them. And now, 19 days later, I still don't have my car and I have no idea when I'll get it back. When I call the dealership to speak with a manager, they put me on hold until I hang up. I'm tired of crying. This has been a nightmare. The first payment is also due soon. Am I really supposed to pay for a car I haven't been able to drive?
Sold me a 2019 car with 39000 miles and warranty
Sold me a 2019 car with 39000 miles and warranty. After 3 weeks, the car broke down and now is undriveable. On November 17, I contacted Apex Imports' General Sales Manager regarding the vehicle I bought on September 28. Dear Sir, I am distressed about the car I bought from you with 38,819 miles. Roughly three weeks post-purchase, on October 23, it wouldn't start. After jump-starting and visiting your service department, they said the battery was fine. However, the car failed to start twice more within two weeks, and on November 9, it wouldn't start at a gas station, leading to a tow. The diagnosis revealed a cracked battery leaking acid onto the starter, destroying it. Both need replacement. VW denied warranty coverage for the battery, and consequently, the starter's warranty is void too. The repair exceeds $1400, and the part is back-ordered for possibly two months. I've been without the car for eight days already, and now face two more months of waiting. Your service team in Cary suggested this issue was pre-existing from the time of purchase. A cracked battery is uncommon and could result from extreme cold, an accident, or improper installation—all of which did not occur under my ownership. When I visited your dealership on November 16, I spoke with Andrew Johnston and Brian, but they denied responsibility, only offering to have the car towed to your location for repair at my expense, mirroring VW's approach. Given the short duration and distance driven before the issue, it seems the car was sold with this pre-existing condition. I trusted that a one-year-old car with remaining warranty would not present such a significant problem after only four weeks and 800 miles. I believe you should take responsibility for the repair and its costs. Moreover, your initial service assessment on October 23, was incorrect. I have filed complaints with the NC Attorney General and the ComplaintsBoard.com, as it appears the car was sold with a known or overlooked defect.
