I have been living in this residence getting to 3 years now and aqua has been the water utility provider for the residence. I have been recieving and paying my aqua bills ever since then until this month, July 2019. I got an unreasonably larger bill that is over $200.00 more than i normally recieve. I call aqua for some explanation. Twice the representatives i got on the phone said the company has been under billing me for their own error and insisted that i have to make good the balance which they put on the current bill. I reminded them the error, if it's what is was, was their error, not mine and that i paid every single dime in the bills they had been sending me. They tried to reassure me that no manager or court could change that conclusion that i must pay for their errors of over 2 years or my service would be disrupted. Their remedy is to have a payment arrangement in place to pay it off if thats what i need.
I have never encountered this type of issue with any corporations before and haven't talked to anyone who has. My first reaction to this was some scam attempt. I need inputs
boot road off rte 202 in west goshen
Good Morning I already went to my township and was told you are doing the construction on boot and morstein road in west Goshen two. I have lived in the village of Shannon since Dec of 98 and I have only gotten one flat tire in all that time and it was an accident. In the last 4 to 5 weeks I have gotten THREE flat tires one a chunk of glass was in my tire it was flat right away happened on boot road next one I had a hook in my tire and the third one I had a bolt which I still have since it was the third one and a nail. All made the tires flat right away and this is from the corner of boot and morstein you can see the debris as you turn from boot and make a right onto morstein. one tire to the next was 6 days later this is crazy I have stopped taking that road and rerouting myself to hopefully avoid a 4th flat tire. I live and work from home I see the street dug up every day well it is coming down the street and sitting in that intersection. This needs to be cleaned up and I would love to be reimbursed for my three tires. One aggravated customer of Aqua also for over 20 years
double charged my account
We paid the bill and they deducted the funds twice. I was told they don't give refunds. They told me to call speed pay. James they supervisor yelled at me, threatened me and hung up on me. I called back twice to speak with another supervisor so I cam figure this out and get my funds returned. This is my family's grocery money that you are holding. James got on the line both time and refused to let me speak with anyone else. He did as before and yelled, threatened and hung up the phone. I need these funds.

I am not a customer, which has added to my frustration. Customer Service does not know what to do with someone who is not a customer. Work was done in our neighborhood and they never came back to repair any damages. But, trying to get someone to help me was very frustrating. I have called Customer Service a number of times. They supposedly submitted a request for a supervisor to call, which didn't happen. They were going to submit a claim, but couldn't provide a reference number because I am not a customer. When I asked to speak to someone in management, they are not available and can only be reached via email and they will call you back within 24 hours or at their convenience. There was no other number to contact someone other than the same number I had been calling. - Customer Service. Please provide a way for non-customers to get assistance. You never know - they could potentially be an Aqua America customer one day --- but not with the lack of assistance and professionalism I've received.

I received a letter to keep my current payment arrangement I had to pay my balance on August 25, I paid my bill on the 23rd over the asking amount. Today is September 5 and my services were disconnected because I was told I didn't call in my payment from 2 weeks ago and never received a disconnect notice at all. The customer service representative could clearly see the letter mailed, the asking amount and the paid amount and treated me like I made the mistake. Now I have to pay a reconnect fee for a bill I paid ahead of time

I am an aqua America customer. My water was turned off two days ago. The notice I received on my door stated someone will be out to read my meter. I called aqua scheduled an appointment. I took off of work just to wait for aqua, the morning of my appointment I receive a call from aqua stating the guy is unable to read my meter due to another emergency. The guy says he will call me back. An hour later my water is turned off. I live in a house with a 2 year old. I don't have family here. I call aqua they said unfortunately we have to give you an appointment on a different day. The lady on the call states I had several notices ok then WHERE ARE THEY? As if they know what it's like to not be able to cook or bathe my child for another day. The communication at aqua is terrible wait I take that back there's no communication at aqua!
I have lived at the same address for 11 years not once has my bill been over 3600 gallons in one month and that's with my children still home ~ now both have there own places -- there is NO lead - had it checked
so In March 2020 I received a bill for $25.00 more then my highest bill ever.
I complained -- and even filed a complaint with AG of Illinois -- Aqua closed the complaint and nothing happened EXCEPT I', stuck paying the extra $25.00

This water company had not shown up to 2 appointments back to back, and they had shut off my water today. Even when I had paid mt bill as of 8/4/17. They had not given me a call or email or a visit to reschedule their service. I don't know what kind I company shuts off their service without any notice. And most of all, after not showing up twice in a row.

Paid bill foe 199.17 and mu service was turned off. When I called said I had to pay reconnect fee even though it was turned off
after I paid. So I paid fee anyway and was told it would be the next day it was only 10:44 in the morning! I explained to them I was a disables veteran and that with the weather I would need it on the same day. I was told that they would not do it! Thank you Aqua for treating those who fought for you with such good care!

HISTORY:
Just to be clear on this, Aqua is only the latest of three water-slumlords to own and operate our water system out here. The system was originally built and owned by Gene Bilberry who subdivided the Fulkes Ranch and sold off lots for homes. Bilberry built the water system as cheaply as he could so he could sell his lots claiming that they had water. The water system was crap, and at one point was reportedly #1 among rural water systems in the state of Texas for losing water through leaks. Some 30% of the water pumped into it never made it to homes but leaked out along the way. Bilberry was a class-A sleazeball and lost his real estate license and got out of the business.
Bilberry eventually sold the water system to Bill Long, who didn't have gumption enough to manage it. One summer during a drought many folks' water went away and Long was getting so many threatening phone calls that he got an unlisted phone number. Water, in the drier parts of Texas, is a fighting matter! He and his family nearly went into hiding and he sold the water system to AquaSource (now Aqua Texas), who have kept the rates sky high but arguably have done a better job of keeping it up. Things may be bad now, with outages and leaks, but they used to be a lot worse. The water system is still crap, thanks to Bilberry. Pipes weren't properly bedded, stream crossings not properly placed or reinforced, and design and construction were cheap and shoddy.
My understanding (which may be wrong) is that of the 4 or 5 wells which originally fed the system, the only one still in operation is the well at the top of the hill on Big Sandy Dr. This was always the best and most reliable well in the system.
RESOLUTION:
Replace the pipe infrastructure in the original SANDY CREEK RANCHETTES properties of this area.
high unreasonable fees
Just moved from Oregon. I could not believe the cost of the water utility fees from Aqua America. Fees for sewage base facilities in excess of $60 a month. Monthly fees for water base facilities in excess of $40. And on top of that water usage charges. I do not know if they service all of Texas, but their fees are ridiculously high. If you are looking to move, include water utility fees in your budget big time. And plan to pay a lot more.
e-billing lifetime revoke?!
Logged in to www.aquaamerica.com to set up paperless e-billing, and primarily to avoid the "convenience charge" assessed by Aqua or their Western Union Speed pay buddies for paying over the phone. When attempting to log in, it stated that my account was in "revoked" status, and to contact customer service, which I did. The rep informed me that due to a payment that did not go through in 2013, when we changed banks almost 3 years prior, that our Aqua account was revoked from being able to use their free online payment method for the LIFETIME of the account?! Seriously?! It's bad enough to pay monopoly prices that Aqua charges for water service, but banning a customer from using online services, forcing them to have to pay "convenience fees" every month is a poor business practice by a big money water company that has bullied its way into owning water utility services all over the US. What benefit is derived from making it more complicated, take more time, and involve an additional fee, just to pay their bill? I can't imagine Aqua's investors would see any prudence in their decision to make impediments to customers' attempts to pay their bills.
If you don't get the answer you're looking for while speaking to a basic customer service rep, ask for the manager. They put you on and things are solved within minutes because they have access to the system that the basic customer service reps don't.
made payment arrang then shut off anyway
We made a payment arrangement to pay a past due balance on a water bill that amount to 182 dollars. They said that we could pay 77 dollars and the balance the following week. They took the 77 dollars out of my account that day and then 4 days later shut off our water anyway and then had no one to turn it back on because it was after 5pm. There should be...

Be careful with these guys. Unfortunately, they are the only water supplier in our location. So here goes, our water meter was read wrong in October and our average 30-40 dollar bill was 480 dollars. We called and they said they would send someone back to re-read it. November came and we received a new bill with November's added to October's bill and a notice that our water we be cut off in 10 days. I called them back and said no one ever came and read the meter again so gave the reading myself over the phone. It was corrected in December and I paid the new balance of 68 dollars over the phone. However, apparently their system hadn't been updated and they withdrew the full payment of 491 from my bank acct. I have 3 kids and wife, and going paycheck to paycheck right now due to lack of much work. Tried to get our refund and was told it would be processed and we would get it back at the end of January or February. Bye bye Christmas Their errors, my loss.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Rep told me they merged the 2 accounts I have for water and fire supression, found out today it was never done by a different rep who apparently can't do anything about anything... WHAT A JOKE
