aqua smashed a sewer pipe when they did work last and refuses to accept the blame.
Aqua was working in the street several months ago and after they got done, we began to have sewer smells coming from a drainpipe in our basement. My wife complained and we were ignored. Between that time and two weeks ago our plumbing failed and sewer water came up through that same Drane pipe.
Our plumbing company had the sewer authority come out dig and locate the problem. Yesterday 4 10 2023, our main line exiting our home was smashed and the sewer authority said with 100 percent certainty it was aquas fault. Our plumbers said the same and they all agreed. We contacted aqua and they will release no records as to when they were there last and deny they did any work unless we have proof. How crazy is that? We need assistance please.
Desired outcome: Have aqua pay for the cleanup and bills associated with locating their problem.

We received a shut off notice on 3/3/2023 paid online it was posted on the 4th they came and shut my water off on 3/6/2023 we called and they told us they do not do same day turn on there is someone in the house with covid they were informed and still will not do anything for us. I Called and asked to speak to a supervisor they were to call me back never did I need my water on.
Desired outcome: Water turned back on today
They were also informed I need the water for my heat and also there is someone in the house with covid they were informed of that also they didn't care couldn't get anywhere with them if there was a different company I could use I would. They can care less about anything if I have any damages due to this MISTAKE on aqua end they will be receiving the bill.

Aqua billed me $2200 claiming that my meter was mixed up with my neighbor. I have never missed a single payment in last 4 years so this amount does not make sense at all. Water Service
I use Aqua Pa as my water source not by choice. they said my meter stopped working missed a day of work to replace meter and then I got this astronomical bill in my email since they stopped sending paper and went paperless. I never signed up for this either, I called and them and was told that all the bills I had paid before were for the access to the eater not for the actual usage of water my husband and I used. So I checked my email today and notice I have a 400 water bill. When told it was for the 348 days of water usage, so basically i was just giving them my money for not the use of rain water that is collected off the mountain above my house or the lake water behind my house. I was also told that they are now going to double their charge for the water making it 2x of what you would usually pay for the water each month. Now when they were deciding to replace the pipes in my yard they left a huge whole in my yard for 2days, water leaked in my bathroom causing it to leak into the basement causing minor flooding in my basement bathroom, used my lawn as a parking lot, men where seen on camera trespassing to the back of my house, also when they were finished with the pipes left large chunks of asphalt in my yard, large rocks, trash all over the place, and my lawn was not replaced in all areas of my property, they used our mailbox area as a place of storage and was not able to access my mailbox, my neighbors had a drain piped laid in they paid out of pocket for and they filled it in when asked to dig it out they were told not their problem. If there was another water company in my area I would cancel this company in a heartbeat!

Sewer line
I own a place in Tobyhanna Twp which receives sewer service from Aqua. The place is not winterized and I live there from June to early October. I don't remember paying bill for service when there was no service. Recently I received a bill from Aqua for $131.69. $101.30 for last bill which I could not get an explanation for since no one was living in the property. I was also billed 30.00 for current wastewater use when no on was living there. My complaint is ongoing since this will be recurring during the year. My recollection is in the past I didn't have to pay when I was not at the property. I am hoping that I don't have to pay for products and services I am not using.

I had paid my full Aqua bill on the phone on 11/15/19 and my water service was shut off on 11/18/19. Called customer service twice and was not allowed to speak with a supervisor and they would not restore my service the same day. Aqua PA is mandating replacement of their existing water meters "free of charge". They have contracted with Keystone Utility systems to perform the service. Keystone declines to change the meter because the water supply is galvanized. In short, Aqua's authorized vendor is refusing to the work that Aqua has mandated.
Aqua states I must spend several thousand dollars to replace the perfectly functioning and intact pipes in my home to the curb so Keystone can perform the "free" meter exchange.
When the meter was last replaced, there was no issue regarding galvanized pipes. Now there is and according to an Aqua official, it is a liability exclusion from Keystone to protect them if the pipes break during the install.
This is a vendor issue. Aqua states the Keystone WILL replace meters. No equivocation, stipulation or exclusions are mentioned in their correspondence.

Any one with newer pipes will have their meter's exchanged. Anyone with an older home cannot and must bear the cost of replacing working pipes for Keystone and Aqua convenience and to reduce their liability exposure.
There is no regard for advance notice that may happen so homeowners can prepare, no care for limitations of consumers who may not be able to afford replacing pipes unnecessarily. More to the point, a contractual agreement exists when Aqua offers this replacement without any caveats and I accept. There is a contractual breach in Aqua's contractor (as their agent) refuses to do the job agreed upon, especially for a reason that is not expressed in the offer to replace the meter.
It is my contention that Aqua either "grandfather" in people in this situation or contract with a vendor who will do the job that was published - water meter replacement. Full stop. This is the exact situation that another person submitted on this topic but this is occurring in Delaware County PA

rip off
Had a water leak before the water meter (at the shutoff) in the house. This meant money that Aqua was losing. The leak started to get worse so I called a plumber. He had a problem shutting off the water at the curb. He had me call Aqua to get someone to help. When I called I wasn't told that there would be a charge. Also the man that arrived from Aqua never...
