Wrongly extracted tooth
I went to Aspen Good afternoon,
My name is Fernanda Loveland Gordon and I'm writing to file a complain i have Aspen Dental. I have been a victim of medical malpractice by this company. Aspen Dental extracted a wrong tooth during a visit. I visited the Aspen dental facility located in Niceville, FL in 03/02/2022 and I requested the extraction of tooth number #19, a tooth that was visibly broken due to an accident I had. During the extraction the dentist extracted a different molar than the one that was indicated and extracted a molar that was complete (#18). When I noticed the mistake she extracted the actual tooth I requested at the beginning (#19) without making me sign a new consent document of extraction. Now I have two molars extracted when I only provided the consent to extract one molar that was visibly BROKEN (#19).
I tried contacting Aspen dental and after receiving no solution through calls and emails I visited their facility where I was told I would get further notice from them. The manager of the facility told me they would contact me in 48 hours with a notice of the cancelation of the whole debt. This never happened as I have to keep calling them in order to REQUEST a RESOLUTION. After all of this attempts I decided to file a complain to the board.
This charge of $166 is completely unacceptable as I'm being charged for the tooth extracted that I did not request and that happened due to a medical malpractice on the part of the dentist.
I'm hoping this case can be finally closed and I get a solution for it. I'm requesting the total cancellation of this debt.
Desired outcome: Total cancellation of debt and reimburse expenses for repair or implant of the MOLAR THAT WAS WRONGLY EXTRACTED.

Absolutely awful experience, took months to get in, then a week prior I got a call that they had to reschedule because they would have no dentist. Finally go today and see Dr.Pak, and what a joke! I went because the 3 molars I have left are all broke. As are all but maybe 1 or 2 other teeth. My insurance only covers $1500/year, so I wanted dentures so I...

Went to Aspen to have last 7 teeth pulled and for lower dentures. They quoted a price for new uppers and lowers that I couldn't afford, so I opted to just have my 6 year old uppers hard relined. They relined them with soft reline. I didn"t know
there was such a thing. I've only had hard relines in the past. Anyway, they charged me $400 for this. The soft reline lasted for 3 months. I complained to Melissa and she look it up and said I was charged for hard reline but they did soft reline. She said they would reimburse me. Months went by and have not rec'd reimbursement. Talked to her again and said she would check on it. Now months later still nothing. My dental office is in Ft Mohave, AZ. My name is Ronald Gulbranson. I would like some action. Please advise.
Desired outcome: Reimburse me $400.00
Everything they did
Aspen Dental is the worst. I went there four times had fillings done. One came out three times. It was a broken tooth and David did not find I had to take my business elsewhere. I would recommend nobody ever go there. They are the worst. I had to go elsewhere to get two root canals, and one tooth removed because of what they did very disappointed. I explain to them that my teeth are very sensitive and they did not care jammed a needle in my mouth several times almost all the work that they did with filling had to be corrected. I still need to root canals, and I had one tooth removed all due to what they did to my mouth again I am very disappointed. I would like a refund and a refund to my insurance company for everything they did. They wasted my time and money not happy.
Desired outcome: I think they should go out of business. That’s how poor they are.
Unprofessional. Deceptive. Unethical.
My family and I received services at the Asheboro, NC location in 2022. Upon a return visit, we were told we had a balance from a previous visit, and would not be seen until it was paid, threatening to cancel our appointment on the spot, despite calling ahead to make sure there were no issues. We contacted the insurance company and confirmed that payments were already sent and received by the location. The office manager insisted we pay anyway otherwise we would not be seen. We expressed our dissatisfaction with their unprofessionalism for extorting us out of $ that they had already received under threat of having time off from work be for nothing.
Following this incident, we received letters stating that my entire family was banned from every Aspen Dental in the country, my 7, 9, and 14 year old children included.
Why is it that 1 deceptive and dishonest individual is able to have my entire family banned from every location of the company simply because she didn't like the fact that she was caught in a lie when she was trying to force us to pay for services they had already been paid for, and why does the company itself allow this thief to extort people, and ban them if they call them out on it?
Totally unprofessional and unethical practices!
Desired outcome: Contact from corporate office, receive overpayments back, have my children removed from the "banned" list, apologies for stress, anguish, and embarrassment caused by this.
I have 6000 financing available.with aspen dental and was told my denture would be
done in 2 weeks and have been calling and getting no response to phone calls.or voice messages for over a month to schedule. an appointment for dental work I still need before dentures, to no avail. The Hamilton location is ignoring me , never answering the phone. I received financing 7300which I still have over 6000 remaining which I am very concerned that they are going to scam me out the rest of my financing as well as not schedule the remaining dental work.
Desired outcome: a response from the dentist for heaven's sake [protected] or email [protected]@yahoo.comschedule last three procedures including dentures. reconcile financing remaining
Dentures
I had an upper denture made at Aspen Dental located at Waterford Lakes on Alafaya Trail in Orlando, Florida. The denture requires an adhesive to stay in, and I cannot eat any foods harder than soup or soft in texture. I cannot take a bite out of a sandwich or eat any meats. I am experiencing pain when eating. Furthermore, I have made two visits to Aspen Dental seeking relief to no avail. The first visit resulted in my being diagnosed as having an infection and was prescribed an antibiotic along with a suggestion that I elect to have implants costing $19,000. After taking the antibiotic, the pain persisted, so I made another visit seeking a remedy. This time, the dentist elected to adjust the denture by grinding some of the denture ridge, which did little to help.
Nothing was done to remedy the fit of the denture.
I complained to the office manager, who was less than helpful. When pressed to solve the problem, she said she would call the owner and set up a time to speak with him/her. I have yet to receive the promised phone call.
The office manager did inform me that I would look different if they refunded my money and leave me with no upper denture.
false advertisement
Made appt, got pre visit call for standard info, was told they DO NOT accept Anthem insurance when on their website it states they do,which is why I made the appt in the first place, this is not a good start for a new business to make in a small county.i will seek care elsewhere and pass along my experience. This is highly unprofessional and I recommend anyone seeking services at this office to not waste their time.
Desired outcome: I do not believe there is one
Dentures
Okay so I got my top teeth pulled March 2022 and got dentures right away or was supposed to they didn’t fit from day one they had to make them twice cause it they are so big I can’t wear them I told them that but come to tell me they look fine it’s my mouth I think I’d know if they to big considering my real teeth where small I asked for a refund or even partial refund cause this is now a year but they come to tell me they fine and so on
Bill
I got a total bill of what my procedure would cost then they took out discount and insurance and $1000.00 for care credit left me with $568.40 balance. I asked the finance person is that the balance that I will owe after everything that was listed on the print out she gave and she said yes. I took the girl that I could not pay then she asked if I could pay...

Beware of this company billing practices, they are crooks. They verify & charge your deductible and your portion of your bill at the time of your appointment. They then send an incomplete bill for your dental insurance to pay for the reminder. Dental insurance would not pay an incomplete bill and they know this too well. In the meantime the sent you...

I called for chil$ appointments dates set, confirmed then the receptionist came back twice sorry that opening is no longer available I’m like what you just set them, I owned my own business mental health counseling if my receptionist did this I’d fire her on the spot, you can’t leave customers upset, and not appropriate to make a appointment to later cancel.

Hello, I'm going to start from the beginning, so you have a clear understanding of where my frustration is coming from. I am a patient of Aspen Dental in Tilton NH. I went for my normal checkup about 1.5 years ago (I go every 6months). I informed my hygienist that I had this white spot on my gums, and it didn't go away. Without confirming with a doctor...

On March 5, 2022 I went in to have a few teeth extracted and a partial plate done (this was the only option I was given and was essentially pushed into opening a high interest credit account with Genesis). I received my temporary plate that day and then returned the following morning to make sure all looked good. At that Time (after waiting in a dental...

For two years non of my claims have been submitted to Delta Dental. I have outstanding bill for 333.10 USD for the service on 01/31/22. I am seeing that Aetna has payed 100% for the procedure. After my first visit and x rays, they made a plan to pull seven teeth and give me upper and lower partial dentures. (No other options offered, no discussion.) I decided I didn't need all that, and couldn't come two days later because of excrutiating neck and back pain from the awful dental x ray chair and positions so I cancelled appt. to make a mold that...

went to surgery the dentist and assistants were 2 hours late and to worried about some girl adding them on Facebook and how bad the coffee was🙄 they put me under and I wake up to one of the assistants yelling at me to go to sleep I was confused and in pain , the dentist DR. Sims asked me if I wanted him to finish I said yea knock me out, like what are we doing here… he knocked me back out but then ended up not finishing the surgery anyway, I only got 1 of 4 implants and didn’t wake up til I was at home in bed, was told they pinched the IV and I had to wait 4 months to finish the surgery, Dr.sims didn’t even call in all my prescriptions took him 2 days to get one of them sent in, then I go back for adjustments because the teeth were so big I couldn’t open or close my mouth… got there they have me redo the sizing and order me new ones, those also didn’t fit so I went 2 months with no teeth at all so even though they didn’t fit well still to big I took them since they were temporary, I just don’t wear the bottoms so I don’t look like a horse. Fast forward to the 4 month mark, I call to make my appointment and inform them I didn’t want Dr.sims doing this one they said they totally understand and they could send me to the cookeville office they just needed to see when he was available, I call for months constantly being told they would call me back I call the corporate office they literally just call the Lebanon office where they AGAIN tell me they will call me back… they of course never do , I call again In NOVEMBER and finally tell them if your not going to schedule my appointment (9 months later) give me my money back, they sent me some of the money back but now even though I still only have the temporary dentures they are charging me for the permanent ones, I CALL AGAIN being told someone will call me back 🙄🙈 I’m so over it this has been the WORST experience in my life and they have no compassion for the situation they put me in, $20,000 they held for almost a year it’s not like I could go elsewhere and fork out the money again.
Overbilling
My son is the customer. He is mentally disabled, so I speak for him. January 30, 2023 he went to the Portsmouth, NH office for a simple cleaning. He came out a half hour later and was presented with a bill for $751.00. My husband, who was with him and is elderly and also disabled, paid the bill. This is not the $200 that was previously quoted to me. No itemized bill was included. My requests for a call-back to the office manager have not been answered. I have no recourse other than to make this complaint. THIS BILL MUST BE ADJUSTED. This office took advantage of my mentally disabled son and my elderly disabled husband. Shame on them.
Desired outcome: Adjust the bill to reflect the quoted amount ($200.00) and provide an itemized copy to me.
Bottom teeth
I was in the Bell location Thursday before MLK day to have an adjustment on the top of my lower gum, little pain when I bit down, other than that the fit was fine. The Doctor came in and didn't ask me anything just started grinding down the sides of my dentures I didn't realize the fit till I got in my car and tried to drink some water and they just floated up, can't eat properly, a tube of fixodent won't keep them down, they are worse now than when I first came in, so I call to make another appointment. This time she tinkers with the bite, tries to sell me implants then she says she can do a hard reline, I said fine because these don't work anymore. Now I have an appointment for Wednesday at 8 o'clock and 3 o'clock at the Bell location. Yesterday, she called and said the reline would cost me $475.00. WHY? She messed up my teeth, why do I have to pay for her screw up? This is BS, they were fine when I went in now they suck. I need some help here, this is ridiculous!
Desired outcome: I should not have to pay for somebody else mistake
Opening Exam and Office conduct
The Management of this company has hired a bunch of "youngsters" that look good and are polite , but untrained, incompetent -and do nothing but walk back and forth while customers await the single liscensed individual walking around
the "factory" and stepping in while a customer has been there waiting between
45 minutes to an hour ( there is a deliberate reason for this)-to create anxiety-
they do not look up the coverage information prior to you arriving - the amount
of time wasted in contacting ALREADY DRAFTED APPOINTMENTS IS ASTOUNDING i must have received 5 " reminders" and the mandated "BE THERE 15 MINUTES EARLY WHILE EMPLOYEES WALK BACK AND FORTH
WHAT A POOR NON PROFESSIONAL TREATMENT_I WOULD NOT LET THEM TREAT MY PET ROCK
Desired outcome: I COULD CARE LESS CORP AMERICA IS SUICIDAL AT BEST-AN APPOINTMENT WITH THEM IS AN UTTER WASTE OF TIME-
