Aspen Dental being charged money I don't owe.

In October of 2017 I went into a aspen dental office to have multiple fillings refilled, a tooth pulled and some hygiene/cleaning. Before I had any work done I signed a treatment acceptance payment arrangement. The amount of all the work totalled $2316.00. But I have insurance and the insurance I have participates with aspen so I got a discount of $1042.00 and my insurance paid $825.00. So in total I was responsible for $448.80 and that included my deductible. So I accepted this treatment and instead of being out almost 450.00 upfront I did a 12 month no interest finance thing with dental first financing. Well I get my work done little by little and finally finish the end of October into November. Well my the beginning of December I had a broken filling. So I go into office have it looked at and was told no charge because the filling that failed was one I just had done. So everything's fine for next couple weeks until January I began receiving bills from them for $800+. After first bill I went into office to talk with the billing. They tell me that it was due to there upstairs people not taking off the discount and they would take care of it. Next in january I received another bill for same amout. I called In to office talked to someone else and they tell me same thing. February comes and I get a final notice bill. Stating that I owed $800+ for services and stating if I didn't pay it would go to collection. I again paid and became very mad and who I spoke with this time actually did something and I thought it was done. But then March comes and I get a collection notice in mail for not $800.00 but $125.00. I don't know how it goes from 800.00 to 125.00 but I called In and talked to a very rude man that attempted to argue with me that when I went in on December I didn't pay my bill that I signed saying I owed $86.00 for hygiene. I had to argue with him that the dentist told me no charge for fixed filling. And after he read further on the paper he saw he was wrong and told me it would be taken care of and hung up on me. Now it's April and I got a second collection notice. There are some incompitant people working at the butler Pennsylvania office. What's sad is the dentist and his hygentist and assistance are wonderful but this experience has made me so jaded that I won't go back to this office. Buyer beware. As of today 4/24/18 I am still dealing with this issue.

If there's any way we could get in touch? I'm having the same problem with them. The crown they did failed within three weeks - shattered to bits in my mouth! When they placed it originally, it was cut too big. So the dentist couldn't get it back out to to seal and then bond it in. So they actually SENT ME OUT OF THE OFFICE WITH AN UNBONDED CROWN AND ACTUALLY SAID IN WORDS - You just have to wait for it to fall out and well redo it! The dentist actually laughed and said try eating gummy candy to pull it out. But yet I still paid them the balance they said my portion would be. Three weeks and the thing shattered. I almost swallowed pieces of it. Had to get it all redone. Then, six months later, I start getting bills saying my insurance didn't cover as much as they thought. Now they just had their bill collectors somehow find and call my ELDERLY PARENTS home looking for me! I'm 42 years old, haven't lived in my parents home since I was 22. Yet they called my parents! They are disgusting and it seems many of us have had the same experience.

Aspen Dental product and service

I got the highest priced dentures aspen offers (which is a far cry from the price they advertise to get dentures). I went to my credit union and got a loan for $4000.00. That was the balance after my insurance paid. I have had nothing but trouble with them... They've never fit properly! Within a year after getting my permanent dentures I was told that the only way to make my lower plate stable was to get mini implants (steel posts) put in to attach my lowers to. The office manager amber told me the good news was that my insurance started over the first of the year and she had called them and they'd pay on the implants! My part would only be like $1500 more dollars! She went on and on about how they'd much they'd helped her mom blah blah blah. And "let me give you a hug" congratulations they'll make such a difference! So, I called my cu and asked for more money on my loan. Sure, no problem. I have the procedure done and then the harassment begins! I got numerous calls and bills for the $2400 my insurance was supposed to pay! I finally cooled off enough to go to aspen and I talked to val. After explaining everything, and her checking her info she said yes they should indeed pay that, it is listed as something they pay. She spent forever on the phone with my insurance company & then her headquarters and told me 'they were aware of and handling it'. I told her I would never have gotten these implants if I wasn't told my insurance would pay for most of the procedure! But I was told they would pay! I even have a letter from sspen stating my balance would be... She also told me she'd have them quit sending me invoice after invoice and calling me until 'we' got it worked out. That did a lot of good! I never heard from her and today (april 19) I got a letter that I had been turned over to a collection agency! Now they've ruined my credit over something that is their fault! I am soooo angry, I can't afford to pay a lawyer, I don't know what to do! I absolutely despise aspen dental. I wish to god i'd had the sense to go to a real dentist. Please help me!

Aspen Dental aspen dental at 7th street and bell rd

My appointment was scheduled for Sunday, April 15 2018 at 930 AM. I got there at 915am. I didn't get back to a room until 1010am and was left in there unspoken too until 1050am where still no one notice i left except the receptionist cause i cancelled requested refund of $1, 685.00 WHICH HAS NOT EVEN BEEN PUT INTO PROCESSING YET to be refunded 3 days later. Because "they are behind and trying to catch up" I already found a new dental surgeon and need refunded as soon as possible. the waiting room was also packed, some people were left standing. the assistance in the back rooms were all in and out talking and seemed confused and it was hectic. for a SURGICAL procedure that is costing you A LOT of money, i would recommend you go somewhere else then aspen. They should not be that over booked, confused, and hectic for SURGICAL procedures.

Aspen Dental have made over 20 visits and my dentures are still not right

Had to have upper teeth extracted. This was done by a trainee dentist. After that bone shards inside of gums. Cut my gums from front to back. Still have bone fragments in gums almost year later. Got intermediate denture and took 4 or 5 visits to get them adjusted right. Was scheduled 9 months to 12 months to get permanent denture. Had that done and went to get dentures and they came out looking like a bucket tooth beaver. Went back 3 more times for adjustments. This was done by the trainees in office. On the 4th visit back the dentist took a look at denture and said those are not right. Decided to make new impressions and wax dentures and then the permanent again. 3 visits in one day. Got those dentures still not right. Went back done more adjustments. Came back home again and the front teeth still are bucked forward and it sits crooked in my mouth. I really don't know what to do. I'm thinking that I need to get a lawyer as well contact the attorney general's office to try to get something done about a service that is costing us lots of money with a unsatisfied and a abundance of consumer complaints. I wish that I would have went somewhere else other than aspen dental.

Aspen Dental dentures not fitting

I went to Aspen Dental at 620 James Campbell Blvd in Columbia, TN. I had 17 teeth extracted and my temporary dentures were put in immediately and I was sent home. My mouth hurt so bad before I even got out of the room that I had to remove the dentures. They did not fit together in my mouth. It's been 2 weeks and I have yet to be able to wear my bottom teeth! I paid $5, 400.80 up front and they won't even see me to try and fix my teeth to fit in the bottom. I'm not able to eat and can barely drink with the top ones in. I have to wait until 5/02/2018 to even be seen! I am very disappointed in Aspen Dental and considering contacting my attorney! I paid cash and was given a 100% satisfaction guarantee and I aim to have just that! I don't get my permanent teeth until September but I won't settle for this kind of treatment until then! I expect the top of the line dentures (Comfylytes) that the doctor recommended for me to be perfect and I expect these temporary teeth to be fixed so I can wear them until September!

Aspen Dental professionalism

I'm highly disappointed in the customer service skills, professionalism, bed side manner and last respect, your female Dentist E. Spencer, DMD needs a reality check! This is my experience as I laid back in the procedure chair a small short petite girl blonde walked in quietly and put a drape around my neck from behind. It scared me because she didn't make her present known. So I said aw you scared me and she quietly said sorry. She never introduced herself even though this was my first time seeing her. She proceeded with preparing everything for the extraction. Than Dr. Spencer walked in the room to extract my upper right wisdom tooth after I just finished up in the next room from getting a treatment called scaling and root planing with the hygienist. She was followed by Dr. H. Li She stated to him that she doesn't work through her lunch and he needs to speak to her about scheduling because she doesn't work through her lunch ever! So Dr. Li calmly said Erin you can go to lunch I will take care of this patient. She act as if she didn't hear him and they was 2 feet apart one another. Then again she stated with disappointment again that she just doesn't work through her lunch! Mean while Me the patient the client the paying customer trying a new dentist sits there in the chair waiting with my mouth wide open. Dr. Li waits on her to respond and she finally says, no I will take care of it. But know I will be late coming back. Dr. Li said ok thats fine and walks out leaving me with the angry woman to work on my mouth! Keep in mind I have always been under local anesthesia when having a tooth cut out or pulled. So with that said I would be out of it. But no here at aspen dental u are fully alert and aware. But I can say they do numb you well. Now Dr. Spencer is pulling and rocking my tooth back in forth with force then the small petite blonde grabs my jaw one direction and Dr. Spencer pulling the other directions as all this is going on I hear cracking and feel pressure and then a rip. Within 3 minutes my tooth is out. Dr. Spencer looks at me for a split second and asked if I have any questions. Before I could get my bearings on what just happened. She dashed out the room! By now its about 5 minutes after she pulled my teeth. The Xray tech from earlier and the petite girl that assisted Dr. Spencer just started ripping paper off the chair I was sitting in. Never asked are you ok do you need any help I got nothing. Except the impression I had or was ruining someone lunch break. Because they rushed cleaning that room. Now I'm preparing to head out to the room and the small petite girl hands me the aftercare paperwork and extra gauze and a prescription. As I focus my eye sight the prescription reads penicillin I'm like ok so what am supposed to the about the pain. The petite girl tells me to take Tylenol and Advil alternate them out. I said what! You just took my wisdom tooth and plus scrape under my gum getting rid of dead tissues on of my 12 teeth and u just want me to take aspirin. So the petite girl said she would ask Dr. Spencer. She comes back and says Dr. Spencer said some aspirin will be fine. I was blown away! I even said look give me 800 IBuprofen that will work just fine. I was told no we cannot do that. So I asked you can't do it or you want? I just got a death stare. I stated after I spent my money with you all you could careless how I feel when I walk out this door. As I preceded out the door with tears just seaming down my face not due to the pain because I was still numb. The tears was from hurt! I felt like they didn't care one bit about the patient! It was all a illusion they put on to get your money. I learned my lesson about going to a big chain businesses. I will stick with the private Dentist offices even If I have to pay more to professionalism, sensitive to the patients care. I have had two additional teeth pulled in the past and I never left the office feeling the way I felt leaving Aspen Dental on Lebanon Rd in Hermitage Tn. The sad part about everything is I was right. As I sit in my truck still in the parking lot trying to pull myself together. I mean I had been sitting there about 5 to 6 minutes. I look up and here comes Dr. Spencer in the shortest shorts she possibly could find and a halter top. Looks like she heading to the gym. And then the 2 assistances jumps in the car right beside me and pull off. So I guess I was the one that was holding up their lunch. This floored me. I got treated like crap because of their lunch break. This is the imagine your company want the public to know. Because I'm going to tell my family, friends, coworkers, church member's, facebook friends, Instagram and snap chat. Hopefully I hear back from you all about this complaint.

Aspen Dental creating more charges

When visiting Aspen Dental wanting just an upper dentures, they wanted to keep 5 teeth that history shows will be breaking down and also wanting to do additional gun treatment of the remaining 5 teeth, where they could pull the 5 teeth and let me get something I can afford now! Adding charges where I could do it once and be done but that wouldn't generate more money

Aspen Dental unethical behaviour, no compassion

In May 2017 I started my Dental work at Aspen Dental 620 James Campbell Blvd., Columbia, Tn 38401. Account Number 7460529 $4, 875 was my contract for all work.
I had 16 extractions and was told I would leave with both my temporary denture and temporary partial. They had a hard time fitting my partial so I only left with the upper temporary denture. I went back the following week to get my temporary partial. I was seen by a female doctor this time. She was very determined they made the correct partial and forced it in my mouth, which I could not wear it. It hurt so bad and I was told to keep trying to get use to it. After a few weeks I was still unable to wear the partial very long so I was told to pop in anytime for adjustments or linings no problem. I waited in the office over 4 hours only to be told they were too busy and couldn't help me. I made appointments for every visit after this.
In November I had impressions for my permanent dentures and permanent partials. I had the dentures done and the doctor was concerned because I still couldn't wear the partial so they had it made again and this time it worked a lot better so due to this he wanted me to wear the new temporary partial for another 6 months for the bite and I was told then I needed to go back for impressions for the permanent partial that would not have any metal on it.
Late December I sold my house and was moving to Kentucky so I stopped in to speak to Catlaind the Office Manager to ask what would happen when I moved could I transfer my records to the nearest office in Hopkinsville, Ky? She said that would not be a problem as they would honor the contract.
2 weeks ago I called the Hopkinsville, Ky office and set an appointment after I explained everything to them. They said no problem and set a March 28 appointment. After arriving for my appointment and filling out paperwork for them I was told they were waiting on my file to see what they could do. I was then directed up front only to be told they couldn't help me that day because the person that does that is not available and the only thing they could do for me was a porcelain lining not a permanent partial. They could also clean my denture free. So after driving over an hour away I was given another appointment for tomorrow April 3 at 9:15 am and told to bring a shopping list because it will take all day for them to do the porcelain lining.
I called Catlaind the office manager at the Colombia, Tn office when I got home last Wednesday March 28 and told her what they said. She apologized and said she would speak to my doctor and call the other office in Kentucky and see if she couldn't get this straightened out for me and that she would call me back immediately.
She never called back I have called every day leaving messages for her to call me only to be ignored.
All that I ask is to receive what I paid for. My customer number is 7460529. I paid $4, 875 for these services and will be paying on this bill until September 2018. I feel I deserve better treatment than what I have received.
My concern is if I do not get a permanent partial and have to make due with this temporary and get a porcelain lining it will not last as long as it should and I will have to replace it before I would normally have to.
After all this aggravation, pain, humiliation I feel as if I should get one half the amount refunded and am asking for $2, 437.50

Aspen Dental extractions & dentures

I went to Aspen Dental over a month ago to have 8 teeth removed to be replace with dentures. One tooth was decayed to the root. I was not provided antibiotics and ended up getting an infection. Did not receive an antibiotic until the 3rd day after I demanded a prescription. I still do not have fitting dentures. Every week I go back, the dentures still don't fit. I have been out of work over a month due the pain & swelling. I work at a call center & my mouth is the tool I need to work with. The dentist did not fill out the leave from work paperwork correctly, so I still have not been paid under my short term disability insurance. This business is a scam please beware. I pray they are not billing my insurance company due to their mistakes. I wish I had looked into them more before trusting them with my smile. The teeth they gave me make me look like a donkey.

Aspen Dental services provided

My family and I go to Aspen Dental 410 Balltown Rd Niskayuna NY. The stated they have a new process which involves measuring gums using a Piero chart. I had a 1 hour appointment. I was also given full mouth xray. I was not told this was going to delay my appointment. I had exam from Dr.Signh and the Hygienist did the piero. I asked when I would get my cleaning I was scheduled for. I was told I would have to reschedule because I was just Dx with gingivitis and need deep cleaning which they didn't have time for. This was also the same scenario for my 19 yr old son . Our appointments we're back to back. I was told I had to pay $194 for each of us for cleaning. I spoke with Dr Signh and voiced my concern as this appears to be a new scam Aspen is trying to upcharge patients. My son and I go every 6 months for cleanings. Not once did a discussion come up in past visits that either of us even had the starting of any gum disease. I asked to opt out and sign a waiver for a regular cleaning. Dr Signh said I could not do that as it would put the Hygienist license at risk. I explained that if I sign a waiver it would not and it is my choice on how I want to be treated. She said no it's not. I was given the ultimatum to pay $194 a piece or leave as no further service would be initiated. Dr Signh recommended a second opinion which I and my son received . My son does not have gingivitis. I have 2 areas that have deep pockets but nothing that warrents an entire gingival treatment. My entire family has transferred out of Aspen dental. After talking to many friends and other family it appears the diagnosis of gingivitis is status quo and a scam that I will be bringing to the NY Attorney General and Office of professions to hopefully keep others from being taken advantage of. This type of practice of ultimatums is unethical as well as Dx patients with something they don't have so they can be upcharged to make profits.

Aspen Dental unprofessional behaviour

My wife, Karmen Grandal, 79 lost all her teeth and needs full dentures. We visited AspenDental 03/13/18 and on 03/16/18 we already received new dentures. We were very pleased to Dr. D. Smith, DMD who did this work very promptly. The problem begins 03/21/18 during the first adjustment appointment. D. Smith, DMD did not see his patient, my wife, even once and instead he sent his young assistant who could not do anything herself and used as the shuttle communication only between Dr. and his patient. He was next door and we could hear about 10 times his instructions given to his assistant even without seeing his patient, my wife. Every time he did something to the dentures and he even did not check with his patient what he is doing. I did not look like doctor patient relationship, it more looked like communication between unscrupulous body shop mechanic and his client in waiting room. It looks unethical, unprofessional and nonhuman. The next adjustment appointment is set for 03/27/18 and my wife fears to go. We do not know what to do.

Aspen Dental a denture that doesn't fit or work right

Didn't even do an expression from my mouth. Told them that it doesn't fit won't stay on the gums bights my cheek all the time. Badly. I went back two times and told them I want a new denture but they just took the denture and said they made adjustments to it. Both times it did not improve anything. I cannot pay for a denture I'm not happy with. The people in this office are all young and more interested in playing around than doing a good job.

Aspen Dental product and service

Well check this out; after going through months of treatment and $$$$( more than 30000 for sure) as well as insurance benefits for an upper implant job to replace my dentures- I ended up with the worst dental work ever. While being fitted for my implants; the dentist who was taking my original dentist's place ( she was on maternity leave) messed up the work that took forever to get to this point. This [censor]
( after 1 hour of excruciating disgust and pain) finally gave up trying to put my implant in and told me that I would have to come back when the other dentist came back from maternity leave. When I did go back, my original dentist told me that the [censor] had left a screw in the implant post that would prevent the post from being functional- the only option I was given was removal of the post. Once again, I went through the equivalencey of having 4 teeth pulled at once- then had my upper implant put back on after changing it to 3 posts. Oyf course I have had issues with this. One day while educating of my patients- my loose implant actually fell out. My patient and his family present asked me, "honey are you ok!". I was totally mortified, asked to leave and then had another nurse to continue my discharge teaching. I wish I had went elsewhere for my dental implant!

Aspen Dental customer service

On 10/12/17 my husband Harold D Kerstetter came in for his appt at the Mechanicsburg PA office of Aspen Dental, to have 3 teeth extracted. (6 yrs ago he had 23 pulled with no problem which was why he came back). He was in chair for over 2 hours, denist broke all teeth and wanted to send him home because she was "to busy". He was told that he had enough novicane and she could not give him any more .. had she just kept waiting on him and not going back and forth between other patients he would have had enough novicane that would have not worn off.. If she saw she was having issues pulling his teeth an oral surgeon should have been brought in at that point
They were aware he has high blood pressure, it was checked at beginning of appt, but wasn't checked after that...They never once came to get me from waiting room to inform me there was an issue... 3 weeks later he had a mini stroke from the stress this situation created, according to the emergency physician it had all stemmed from this. He is scheduled to go back in April for his permanent teeth and this is too stressful for him to come back, so much so he adjusted his temp ones on his own. I am not sur
e how I'm going to even get him to step inside the building!
He was told teeth were "fused" to gum line and had to be drilled not extracted when a few days before this procedure one was pulled with no issues by another dentist.
We wanted some one to be aware because we don't want anyone else to have to go through this
