teeth extraction, fillings, partial plate
I had a bad experience. I was told at my consult I would have 3 teeth pulled and 2 fillings, when I got there I had four teeth pulled and three fillings. I was told I could have sedation then told it would take to long and was asked to reschedule my appointment I work so that wasn't an option. My partial plate was not right they had to add a tooth.
dental assistant
I went in as a new patient, I had a young lady taking my xrays. She was very disrespectful. Obviously she was BRAND new, or had never taken xrays. She cut the roof of my mouth, under my tongue, bumped the holder I had in my mouth and hit my front teeth.I asked her her name (Katelyn Birmingham) and she just stood around talking to people while I was holding that stuff in my mouth..
I asked her if she actually had license to do what she was doing, and she said "oh don't worry, I know what doing"..but obviously she didnt..i will never go to aspen in Texarkana again as long as she still works their.
I chose to not have treatment ..
dental implant
Hi there,
My first visit to Aspen Dental Latham NY office was in April 2015, and that was the start of getting an implant from the dentist. How long do you think the whole process for a dental implant takes? Well, at Aspen dental, it has been more than two years since my visit in April 2015, and it is STILL an ongoing process. I am still wearing exercise retainer with cheap plastic and a fake tooth. You have to be patient with me about this super long and very frustrating process because the dentist made so many mistakes along the way, and the Latham office and Dr. S have been very irresponsible and very rude.
I needed an implant for my left front tooth. The first step, which was the periodontal treatment and the implant itself seemed to be fine, which was done in the Schenectady office. My nightmare started when I returned to the Latham office for the abutment and the crown.
M. Serseloudi was horrible and I don't understand how a person like her received her medical degree. She made so many mistakes and she does not even care about these mistakes:
Mistake #1: (around Oct 2015?) for my very first crown, she put in a black abutment and installed the crown. The crown was made in the Latham office, which was cheap and low quality, and that made the top part of my teeth look dark (because the crown was thin and low quality). Well, as a dentist, Dr. S should have planned well and anticipated this prior.
Mistake #2: (November 2015)? Dr. S then ordered a white abutment to take care the problem with dark color for the top part of my crown. She made the crown once again in their Latham office. She was so bad at her job that she cracked the first two crowns when she was making them, and the third one finally worked. For this appointment, I stayed in the office for almost 5 hours.
Mistake #3: after the second crown in November 2015, my front tooth looked fine for a couple of months. Because of the low quality of the crown, probably also the cheap abutment inside, there was an infection in my gum above the crown. I went back to the office again. You should know that I paid nearly $7000 for my implant/abutment/crown. The office staff promised they would provide the best product/service.
Mistake #4: Dr. S was trying to convince me that infection problem was normal because I had periodontal problem in my initial visit. I had to explain to her periodontal problem was why I came in for my initial appointment. I had the problem. So I needed your help. That was why I paid almost $7000 and visited your office millions of times. She apparently does not care about her patient.
Mistake #5: this was the most unethical mistake Dr. S made. This time, after another periodontal treatment, she ordered a crown from one of their vendors. To make the crown fit into my mouth. She BURNED my gum. It was so painful, and that made my gum line so high. She did this because she needed room for the crown to fit in. Should it be the other way round? Should you trim the crown to make it fit? After the burn, my gum line was so high than the other front teeth, and Dr. S still believes it looks perfect. Excuse me? She can just lie right in your face. Even all the office staff agreed that the gum line was not acceptable.
Mistake #6: I was so upset with the uneven gum line. You know what Dr. S did? She asked me to leave and find another dentist. After what she did to me, she sent me to the legal person in the office, and they wanted me to leave with a refund for a crown. Excuse me? Dr. S created the uneven gum line problem and she wasted two years of my life. She burned my gum!
I believe there are two things that define a good dentist, or a person. One, a good dentist is an expert in her area and she knows what she is doing. Two, a good dentist should have a heart that cares about her patients and have a sense of responsibility and at least being ethical. I do not see either of these two qualities in Dr. S. I am really frustrated and I completely lost my confidence and trust in Dr. M. Serseloudi and Aspen Dental. I want a full refund and I want to find another dentist and move on with my life. I do not want to live with retainer and come back to the Latham office with no hope.
never really went over cost
I went to Aspen Dental to have a tooth pulled and they pressured me into having a partial made and then they said that I could finance with them but they put me with Dental First Comenity which they said the payment would be less than $100 and now they want me to pay almost 150 a month and I can't afford it. The partial doesn't fit right and I went back 2 or 3 times to have it fixed and finally gave up on it and can't wear them. What can I do about this.
dentures
I am very concerned about my upper dentures.
I went in with no over bite and now I have a large one! I had partial uppers done in Lima, Oh and no problems. NO ONE in that office will address this. I have a very narrow top palette, these dentures are so large on me it is almost funny. I expect that you will address the issue promptly. For 6, 500 they need to fit like a glove.
teeth
It's been 3 years since I went to Aspen Dental to have my front teeth fixed. They x-rayed my teeth. Then they showed me and my husband the X-RAY and said that needed removed. They checked my credit and was approved, believing that it would be a good thing to do, so I signed for the loan. When the removed my teeth he crushed them and then he pulled them out. To this day I can't eat with the and would like my money back so I can get it fixed.
dentures
I have always been horrified of the dentists ever sense I was a child. Finally after being in too much pain I decided to get my teeth looked at. In January I went to Aspen dental because It was the closest place to me that took my dental plan. With my husbands support and urging I made it to the office. I was told I needed dentures, uppers and lowers. They told me that they would make it as painless as could be and if I wanted I could be sedated. After the exam the office manager quoted me a price of $ 8800.00 if I wanted the sedation. And aprox 2000$ less if I just had the gas. So I reluctidly agreed to have the gas and a Valium. The day of surgery I'm sitting in the chair waiting for the dentist when they say that the nitrous oxide machine wasn't there, it was at one of thier other offices. We live an hour and a half away and I was really upset. so, we reschedule for the next day. Then, the next visit machine is there but, now it's broken. She then asks me if I took the pills they prescribed, I was never given anything. She then brings this to the OM attention and says " it's just as well, with the machine down lets just start over tomorrow. So once again we reschedule. they give me a script for Halcion, tell me to take it before coming the next day for another attempt. On the next visit a new Doctor shows up and starts screaming at everyone, saying he absolutely refuses to give me nitrous oxide, saying someone at another office died using it and no way was he going to give it to me because I had taken 1 Halcion before coming. Even though they prescribed it. He was extremely mean and rude . At some point the 1st dr comes back and says don't worry, just relax and she puts the gas mask on me and says just breathe through the mask. I was so confused, she numbed me with Novocain and even though there was NO GAS in the machine they kept pulling my teeth out . I was so scared and confused from the Halcion I couldn't understand what was happening. I kept telling them over and over that the gas wasn't working and I was in so much pain but they just kept saying "breathe, breathe in deep" . They never turned the gas on! When I came back the next day the dr. Says that they were sorry and apologized for the actions of the rude dr. Saying that he was mean to everyone that day and admitted to me and my husband that they did NOT use the gas. I can't tell you how hard it was for me to just get to the dentist and then to be treated so bad. The whole point to me going there was that they were going to give me the gas so I wouldn't be so scared and now it's all I can think of. Not to mention the dentures they gave me ( suppose to be thier best) are terrible, the bottoms don't even stay in. When I went yesterday to ask for my money back, the OM says to me " you see that tiny tiny print on the poster where it says no refunds, that means, no refund. Not going to happen" This is so so wrong and I wish I had done my homework and seen the reviews for this rip off scam. Nobody should have to go through this. I'm sure there are very caring and professional doctors out there but this is not one of them. Run, don't walk away from these guys!
billing department
Aspen dental will charge you full price even though you are a careington member with a ppo they charge the ppo and the customer and forget that u are a member and you should get the member price then charge the ppo then the customer so you see they over charge people all the time and I will not be a victim any longer with this type of billing who know what else they are charging the insurance companies.. Btw they always have sent me bills a few months later after service with an outstanding balance that needed to be paid so I paid it after looking into this billing not only did the insurance company pay the balance off they never even took the discount off from careington and then I paid it.. Never again will I walk into a aspen dental office anywhere they are one big mistake..
not faxing what I had done to my drs.
I had work done to be able to get a lung transplant, I told them i needed them to send a fax to the transplant people and they never did so now the Dentist wants me to come back in again, or he won't fax the work I had done, after this visit I will find a better place to go been having problems with for some time, charging to much for one thing when I had a parshall made.
dentures
last january my husband and I went to aspen dental for teeth removal and possible dentures. my temporary dentures never fit right, when I would tell them they didn't fit properly, I was told my gums are still shrinking, they are just temporary. Aug. 28th I got my permanent dentures. the bottoms do not stay in my mouth were way to big, and my tops were almost as bad. when I went back a short time later, I had sores in my mouth, they fixed the dentures where they were rubbing, I asked to have a new impression and dentures done because the pair I have were just too big. I was told the top ones were due to be aligned, I had only were them for maybe a half a day. they told me no, all they needed was religned (how can teeth I don't wear need religned in just a couple weeks) and was told the bottoms were floating teeth. ( my teeth should not be part floating in my mouth) I was told I just needed to get use to them and hold them down with my tongue!. I started working and have been working full time plus. I went in today to see about my dentures. I told them I wanted them to start over and make the dentures, be cause the bottoms were just way to big, they wouldn'nt stay in my mouth or stay in place, my top ones I can not eat with, and if I drink very much, they come out. liquid gets up under them, and food knocks them out. they refused to redo my impressions and dentures.. they said I only had 90 days to do that, I was never told 90 days. I have had nothing but trouble with that business, and I still can't eat.
additional charges after copayment.
On Jan. 27, 2017 I went to Aspen Dental at 3756 US Highway 98 N. in Lakeland Fl. because I was having tooth pain. This was not my first visit having gone for cleanings. I was told that two teeth had small cavities and after they called Delta Dental, I was told my copayment would be $92.40 which I paid at that time. I then received a bill from Aspen stating I owed $455.60. I then called Delta Dental and was informed that Aspen was not in network and was charged out of network fees. I then called Aspen and spoke to Bryan. I asked why I was not told they were not in network before the work was performed. Bryan said my group number determines if I am in network and I won't know that until a claim is filed. I really can't believe that Aspen doesn't know if they are in a network. It seems like a bait and switch scheme to me. They tell you what a copayment will be, perform the work and then bill you incredible amount. They filled two small cavities and charged me $455.60. I could have had an extraction for the same amount. If I was told they were not in network, I would have gone to a dentist who was in network.
dentures
When I first came to aspen dental I wanted permanent implants the dentist said we will talk about that later. Needless to say they don't do implants. After having 13 teeth removed I asked to see the teeth they took them from the room and said I didn't want to see them. I paid 3000 dollars for a full upper and lower partial. I have lost 3 teeth. And as I set her in the chair waiting for a new tooth in the bottom partial I am told there will be a charge because they are off of warranty. This is the forth time I've been here to have this fixed and there wasn't anyone here that could fix it

My fiancé made an appointment 2 weeks or so ago to have 1 wisdom tooth pulled and she has insurance and paid $500 on her consultation visit. The appointment for the removal was set for today [protected]) at 1pm. We arrived at exactly 12:50pm where she was asked to pay another $340, so she wrote a check and sat down Beside me to fill out paperwork. It is now exactly 1:52pm. We are both still in the chairs we sat down in an hour ago and my fiancé have never had to ever get a tooth pulled has also never been in any kind of surgery where she is going to be "put under". So while we sit in this lobby and try to not get aggravated about the long wait we have to listen to toddlers running wild BEHIND THE RECEPTIONIST'S DESK! They are not kids of anyone in the lobby they are the kids of someone who works here at aspen dental. I kid you not when I tell you how dissatisfied with the way this whole operation has been conducted. First off just because some people are ok with pulling teeth and being put under and think that it's ok to have kids running around and yelling in an area other than the waiting area, doesn't mean other people think it's ok or get a warm cozy feeling to see zero amounts of common sense. So as I finish this notification at exactly 2:00pm she was just called back and looking very nervous to where I felt bad for her because I had professional experience when I had mine done at a different dental office. Is your motto gonna be come give us 840$ (Even with insurance) to get a tooth pulled and we will make you regret it, almost instantly?
my dentures
I made an appointment for March 30th at 5 o'clock to get the tooth repaired and replaced in my denture I am still under warranty yes I still owe only $125 but that should not have stopped your office on Grape Road in South Bend from replacing my dentures. They scheduled my appointment and once I got in at 5 o'clock p.m. I was told that there was no technician available to fix my dentures. I have gone an entire week with broken dentures in my mouth but yet nobody could have a technician come in to fix a simple repair that I have waited all week to fix and your office scheduled my appointment so why would there not be a technician in on the day that your employees have scheduled me so now I have to wait until next Thursday or until they find a Thursday available because I work until 4 p.m. I work everyday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and I work across town I am pushing my luck just to get to the office on Grape Road by 5 o'clock safely and now after a week of not being able to eat properly I have to wait even longer not knowing if or when I am even going to get an appointment. I don't know what happened to your previous staff that was working there but the current staff sucks bad they are inconvenient unorganized and I'm concerned like the previous staff that used to work there when I received my dentures two years ago I spent $4, 000 on my dentures even though I still owe $125 I should be receiving way better service than what I have today. I believe that it does not matter what time your office is open I do believe that a technician needs to start being at the office when it is convenient to the patient not them that is how you provide customer service is by staying later than your scheduled hours to provide to the customer's satisfaction I am very disappointed and I regret deeply ever recommending any of my friends and family to come to this business
This is exactly what I have had to eat with for this past week, and also where that tooth is missing is causing a sore spot on my lip and on my tongue I would really appreciate better service but I know I won't be getting it at this s***** place
overall experience with aspen dental and poor dentures
My name is John Hummer from Danville, PA. I was initially seen at your clinic/office located in Selinsgrove/Shamokin Dam, PA. I had a problem with my teeth going bad after heavy medication use during a stay at the hospital. I was told by the staff at this office that my teeth were beyond saving and that it would be in my best interest to have them surgically removed and have dentures the very same day. I was given options and approximate prices to have the teeth removed and getting new dentures. I was also told that this was a satisfaction guaranteed practice and that I would be able to eat apples and chew steak after I was healed and the dentures were completed. I went forward with this and was scheduled for the removal. I was extremely soar after the procedure which I did anticipate.
I remember having two blocks of plastic in my mouth that I was told had to remain in place for at least two days so my gums would be able to start the healing process. I did this only to find them to be big and bulky and uncomfortable. Not a problem, I was told it would all come to pass. I opted for having the "better dentures which I was told would be the best way to go as this would have a new set of dentures made after the healing process was complete. It did take quite some time until I was able to get the dentures made but I was glad the time had finally come. I would be able to eat a meal again. Little did I know.
The dentures came in and I went to the office to have them fitted. The doctor I had initially had was no longer there and I was passed on to the next doctor. I was given the dentures and was told they looked great and that I would be very happy with them. I was told that I might have to use a bit of adhesive to keep them in. I was told not to use very much, just a small amount in three or four spots. After getting home, I looked in the mirror to find that the teeth didn't line up. The bottoms were miss matched from the tops. I thought this was not right and was scheduled for another check in a few weeks.
After a few weeks had gone by I went back to the office and informed the doctor that I was unable to eat with the dentures, that they would fall down from the roof of my mouth and the bottom plate was so loose that they simply wobbled back and forth and knocked the top dentures loose causing them to fall while trying to chew my food. I was told at this time that I wasn't chewing my food properly and was told how to properly use the dentures and I was also told that I may have to use more adhesive. I was again told to come back in a few weeks and they would check progress. I went back again. I told them I had not been able to eat a meal with the dentures and something would have to be done. It was at this time that I was told the dentures needed lined which would help them fit much better. They did the reline only to have no change. It was decided another set of dentures would be made. They just were not working out.
Another set of impressions were made and I was told to come back in a few weeks for a wax fit. I went in and the wax teeth were place in my mouth. They were great. They fit so well I just couldn't believe it. Finally I would be able to eat with dentures. I thanked them for their time and waited for them to come in. The day came and I went down to have them placed in my mouth. The dentist was not there and another dentist gave me the dentures and was told to put them in. I told this lady that they felt too big. Too long, and I started to gag on them. In fact, they were too long and they were cut down. They did fit better but still not good. Nothing like the wax fitting. I couldn't figure how this could be so much different than the wax teeth. Too big, too much movement, bottoms rocking back and forth. I was told to schedule an appointment with the doctor that I had prior and he would look at them.
Again, I did what I was told to do. I came back and had the male doctor again, the doctor that did the fitting. He asked what the problem was. I told him they didn't fit. He asked how they didn't fit and I tried to tell him that the wax fitting teeth fit perfect, stayed in, and felt right, only to come back and get teeth that were too big and wobbly. He was getting angry and rolled his eyes at me a few times and I said look you don't want to work with me, took off the napkin, and left the office. I am not a child and won't be treated like one.
I called and complained about the whole ordeal and was asked to give them another chance to make this right. I agreed to the one more time thing and simply put, want to able to eat a meal. I went back to the male doctor. He said he couldn't make them perfect but he would do start over and go from there. Top dentures first. Yet another set of top dentures were made. Again they do not fit properly. A reline was done and finally they seemed to fit. I still can not eat a meal, but they do look good. I questioned this the last time I was there. I was told that they had done all they can do. That this was my fault.
I was told that the roof of my mouth is not curved right. That I had flat spots on my gums. And that I would have to use adhesive to keep them in. The bottoms have not been touched. Simply put, I am paying for dentures that I can't use. I put them in and they look great, get to lunch time get half way through the meal and end up chewing on my dentures that have fallen from the roof of my mouth. I excuse myself, get to a bathroom to clean out the remaining adhesive and proceed to finish my meal to the best of my ability without dentures. I have not to date eaten a meal with my dentures in. This makes no sense to me at all.
Over a week ago I called the complaint line and asked to be sent somewhere else, another Aspen Dental other than Selinsgrove or Williamsport. Do something that will get me going in the right direction. I was told that I would be contacted by someone who would be able to help me. I asked when and was told a few days. I have not been contacted.
I desperately need help in this matter. I can't believe it's gotten to a place where I think I might have to get legal advise. I very much want to be able to eat with dentures. My parents both wore dentures and never did I see them have this kind of problem. Something is not right.
malpractice
I went to Aspen Dental in Paducah KY to have some work done. While I was there they advised i needed a filling. I spoke to the office manager, pre-paid what he said my part was and I let them do the work, after the numbness went away I began experiencing pain in that tooth, pain that had never been there prior, even though i had a "cavity" in it. I thought it may just still be tender from being drilled. After several days I called back and advised them that i was still having pain so they had me revisit, with another dentist who proceded to try to work on the filling. The pain never stopped, and i still have problems to this day with that tooth. I then received a huge bill from them so i called the office manager and proceded to tell him that was unacceptable as i had already paid my part based on what he told me and that i was not giving them another dime considering the dentist left me with a tooth that now hurts all the time when i never even had pain in it to begin with. He advised he would take care of it. I never received another bill, nothing. I assumed it was taken care of until i received a call from a collection agency today stating i owe over$500 now. Please advise what i need to do.

Regular Check-up and filling
When I was briefed before my check-up by a business manager for Aspen Dental, I was leary. Someone had to pay his salary, and he wasn't a receptionist. When he presented the estimate, he included everything possible they could do for me, not what I really needed. They even included the cost of a Sonic Toothbrush at $300 which I already had from Costco for a lot less. Further, they included different kinds of coatings, and whitening, and a number of things that were wholly optional to me unless a client asks for them. So, for a check-up, they wanted to bill my insurance $1062! I found this profoundly abusive of truth to the patient of what I actually needed, padding the bill astronomically, and when I had a cavity filled, the dentist was in an apparent hurry because he did not welcome me, he just came in, said what his name was, did his job, and went to walk out without commenting, thanking me for coming, or saying anything. This was representative of the business manager's tactic. I felt like I was on a conveyor belt: just ship 'em in, and charge them a fortune, and ship 'em out. I have been to dentists from Chicago, to Dallas, to in the army, and to a different one here in Spokane, Washington. I have never had the experience I had at Delta Dental. Customer care was either patronizing or dismissive. I had to review each and every line of what the business manager proposed as charges, removing at least 7 out of 12 charges that were flagrantly unneeded. I will never recommend Aspen Dental again. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is what they are all about.
I went to Aspen Dental as a new patent, All I wanted is to have my teeth cleaned, and checked for cavities. After the x-rays, the first dentist came in, and said, "you have 4 wisdom teeth that need to come out" I looked at her funny, and told her I've had them all removed. She had the wrong x-rays!
Thankfully, I do know what my x-rays look like. She looked in my mouth, and left, then another dentist came in and looked. I had two small cavities, and some bone loss, as I have suffered with gum problems for years, and need cleaning twice a year to slow the bone loss to a minimum. But all thier focus was the missing teeth that had been missing for over a decade of my life. I didn't come to have anything done about the missing teeth, as I don't have the funds to pay for what it would cost to replace them, as I've lived a pretty normal life without them. My main concern was to get them cleaned, so I could protect from any more bone loss. The missing teeth can wait, and is not a matter of emergency. As I sat in confusion, they went over the options I have for all this work that I cant afford to have done. By then I'm in this office talking to a lady about the 4, 000 dollars this is going to cost to have all this work done, when they haven't even touched my teeth yet! Duh! You think if I had the money to have all this done, I would have done it years ago! So she tricks me into applying for a dental credit card, of course it was denied, then she tries to sign me up for another loan. As I sat there listening to all this, I felt I was being controlled, and felt as I was in some car dealership trying to get a load for a car! I sat there for almost two hours, waiting for her to find a way to get me to sign up for this loan, but I still had to come up with $550, witch, of course I don't have!
By the time I left I felt I had been tricked, and taken advantage of, and it was nothing but a waist of time, and energy, and my teeth still need cleaned. Later that evening it hit me! My credit score! All this checking for credit cards, and loans, I realized my credit has been compromised. I have been working of paying my debit down, now them marks will be on my credit for two years. I am very upset that they tricked me, and kept me in that office for two hours, and didn't do a dam thing but ruin my day, and knocking my credit down a few decimals! IM PISSED OFF! DO NOT GO TO ASPEN DENTAL! Unless you are looking to have extensive work done, or have a huge bank account! Had a gut feeling, I should of went to old dentist. M
too late after your teeth are pulled to be told you haven't enough jaw bone for implants!!!
Hello, I need to let you know how the last few months have been for me.
Back in December 2015 I went to the "Aspen" dental care and had several appointments over the next couple of weeks regarding just what we could do about my pretty ugly teeth. At that point I had both upper and lower plates, each with several false teeth on. I believe that I had 6 of my own teeth on the top and 5 on the bottom.
I wanted nice bright uniform teeth instead of several all mismatched /fake /real/ mix up/ miss colored and also teeth showing roots at the jaw line.
The dentist informed me that the uppers were no problem but a whole plates for the lower could be hard to get used to and it would not have the suction like the upper denture. I would probably always have to use adhesive. That being said, I added that If I find that I can't cope with them being a little wobbly, then I could have 2 or 3 implants. Yes said the dentist, that is what most people do. Makes your lower plate much more secure.
So I paid a deposit of $2900 and agreed to go on a payment plan [which I am still paying] and I was booking in for the procedure. We were going to speak further about implants and prices after the treatment, depending on how I felt.
On December 17th 2015. I had 11 teeth removed and a brand new set of temporary dentures put straight in.. ... I had to go the next few days for adjustments.
Over the next 6 months I was a regular at the dentist, having "adjustments" and "relines" etc. I explained to the dentist that they just didn't feel right or fit good...She told me that when I get the permanent ones, they would be a much better fit..
Permanent ones come, wonderful, not. Still do not fit good. This was was in July 2016.
Saw the dentist several times regarding the fit of the permanent dentures. Tops ones were fine even though they needed adhesive but the lower plate was awful. It would just fall out. I cannot eat with the lower ones, speak, cant laugh or cough because they fall out. Continually have to use adhesive which makes me feel ill.
Around about August I went to see an implant specialist and after several xrays and tests I was told that I did not have the bone structure for implants, anywhere on my lower jaw. There was nothing he could do.
On my last check up with "aspen" in December 2016 I was told that there was nothing else they could do to help me. I mentioned that I had made enquiries regarding implants and the dentist made no comment and just turned around.
So here we are, a year later, cant eat in public, scared to laugh or cough in public, get to feel sick from the taste of the adhesive. My food intake is greatly limited. My beautiful pearly whites are now my biggest night mare.
Perhaps you should train your dentists to go through a procedure where they test your bone structure for implants BEFORE pulling your teeth and not just assume you will be ok . You have no idea how this has impacted my life. I am devastated. I hate the thought of going on for more years with these painful dentures.

I had a tooth that needed to be pulled so on1/9/2017 decided to visit Aspen Dental because they are a in-network with my insurance company Amenities. I gave them my information and received an X-Ray of my teeth. After they accessed the damage I was told what the insurance company would cover and what I would need to pay out of pocket for the treatments I would receive on 2 separate days. I made first payment for the tooth extraction on 1/9/2017. After I paid the procedure was done. I made the second payment for fillings and cleaning on 1/18/2017. After I paid the procedure was done. Before I left they maid a 3rd appointment for 2/1/2017. Once I get into the office I'm told I owe money because my insurance didn't cover some of the procedures that were done which was also my first time hearing of this. I've never had an experience like this before I might add. A practice called balance billing from what I understand. So now I'm being told I owe 171.00 because AD claims my insurance company didn't pay their end of the bill.
What I would like is for these charges to be dropped. I made out of pocket payments in confidence that all charges were met.
dentures
I am requesting an immediate refund to be able to get dentures elsewhere:
24 HR post op visit was Horrible and will be writing a letter to as many people I can to get money back.
I went in today complaining I didn't have swelling and dentures didn't fit. Couple sore spots. This is my 3 visit at aspen. I was treated with such disrespect, not listening to me. Let me sit there for three hrs with tears and not one mention of calming me down. I couldn't believe they thought they were sending me out into the real world with nice temporarys which I was told in the money room I will end up with 2 sets for 7044.00 great I thought. Doctor did allow me to address my issues without his body language screaming get over it. He pulled my bottoms out with great force after a reline while my tops where out and hit them. Ouch. He did say sorry. As I had tears for this time with same tissue I finally asked to get a new one...horrible uncaring company I kept while I was there. I would say I cannot go to work..I have an important job his response everyone does...I said I am your patient not everyone. He and obviously could agree on anything and everytime he messed with denture it was worse. I told twice I wanted to speak to someone else and thank goodness a gentle soul who got it...I had my teeth extracted and had a heart to deal with me. Reline was removed from top denture due to the huge gum look...why are the teeth not made bigger to balance that? P.Banda from Augusta Maine is someone that needs to pretend to care...it's hard enough going to dentist I am traumatized and do not want this office to touch my mouth. 7044$ and I am miserable. I have before and after pictures of today. I am disappointed as I was assured I would look great. Please contact me as soon as possible. I will be going to another dentist that I went to after I was told by aspen my teeth could not be saved. She had a slight change yet I chose aspen for immediates so I could go to work. Also the doctor mentioned limbs and getting used to it yes...but my teeth are the wrong size. I didn't swell so the huge dentures they made are wrong. With the inability to say that I do not trust them. And I am positive your CEO would be pissed if he witnessed what I went through.
Hate to say it but I guess they all go to the same school. Every complaint I hear seems we all had/have similar problems. I started at one Aspen and thought I finished by the third one. I just don't understand the ignorance whether it be sympathy/empathy/knowledge or manners (I am not perfect) but have delt w/the public for years. .Hopefully I can resolve my problem promptly and be done with aspen. 3 offices 6 years Thousands $$$$ and not happy boooo Good Luck
