Take out meal
I went to the caraquet nb location and ordered some chicken strip with fries and onion rings to go. After waiting for what seemed and eternity (I was the only customer at the drive through and the parking lot is empty) I took my order out. 5 minutes later I opened the bag to find out
That there is no straw for my drink. 4.30 pm is rush hour. There is no way I can return to the location to get a straw (those [censored]ing biodegradable straw that everybody hate) without my meal getting cold, and on top of that my onion rings are burned
This is not my only bad experience, I am sure that a lot of people feel this way.
Morning drive through experience is on another level. Orders are taken and processed one at a time. It takes too long and I stop going there for. Breakfast coffee. That is the best coffee around for miles although there is a tim horton next door. The manager should be fired or the franchise should be recinded

I absolutely love A&W, ever they came out with the beyond meat burger, I go to my headrest restaurant regularly, but it seems like they have mad a habit of messing up my order. I love the food but majority of the time, they get my order wrong. For ex, just now, the hubby and I went to get the beyond meat burgers and I specifically asked for no tomatoes on one of the burgers, they made them both with no tomatoes, we went back since we were still in the parking lot, they said they will make us a new one and guess what again, they didn’t put tomatoes in it. We back went the second time and asked for tomatoes on the side, cause we didn’t make a big deal outta it. Sometimes, I get bacon when I always let them know, I don’t want no bacon in anything I order. Or last week I asked for no tomatoes but pickles instead and they put tomatoes and pickles (loads of pickles) upon asking - the girl said I thought you said extra pickles. I don’t normally make complains but this has to stop as it’s frustrating. I just want to enjoy my meal and I expect it to be right.
No mozza cheese on to burgers
On Friday February 25, 2022 I went through A&W drive through on 5725 Vedder Rd in Chilliwack, B.C. Canada. Ordered 2 Mozzarellas burgers with exchanging bun for lettuce wrap on both burgers. After going home I noticed I did no receive any mozza cheese on both burgers. I call restaurant back to complain and talked to a manager named Don who said that I did receive cheese when he reviewed camera video. He is lying! I did not receive any cheese whats so ever on both burgers! He is not will to resolve this complaint. This complaint needs to be resolved!
Desired outcome: Refund or free coupon is in ordertill Don the manager at the restaurant to stop lying.

A worker told me to wait for 2 minutes as brewing coffee takes time which is OK. But he is sitting at back from past 15 minutes and i guess he totally forgot about the order

Ordered Onion Rings from Brantford location.. #4379.Order #447 on Feb 3rd 2022 at 12:19pm . Was old & hard. Couldn't take more than a bite, it was probably under heat lamp for wayyyy too long.. Usually their service is good.. But for the last three times all i'm receiving is old food or slow services.

When placing an order for a root beer float hey is it explained that I wanted to have the right amount of ice cream and the right amount of root beer was told it would be a half and half when I got home it was all ice cream except for the splash of rootbeer I watched him put into the cup as he was walking to the drivthrough windowand when I called I called and explained that they did exactly what I had asked them not to do she told me I could bring it back after we had a whole conversation about it I did in the video will explain everything everything the fact that she charged me $6.39 cuz that's what she eventually refund to me after telling me I had to reproduce a receipt after the 5 minutes that we just went over explaining what they did to please not to do at the video says it all
Desired outcome: The lady who told me that I had to have my proof of purchase to get a refund the same last that told me the only reason I keep coming back was because they are the only one in town witch is on this video
Hamburger with mold
I bought a hamburger today and it had mold I asked for my money back and the lady from the car service refused saying that they did not sell everything fresh, I paid almost 10 dollars for a sandwich, without vegetables, what a shame to offer something like that, so bad quality

Root Beer
I am 77 years old and always loved A and W, I remember going to the first one in Welland Ontario. I am so disappointed in the root beer and coke since you added the sugar cane or(whatever sweetener you are using) to be honest it tastes awful, Who comes up with these ideas you have ruined it for me and more than likely many more people.Why do you try to make a good thing better, you actually make it worse . Now I can't order there any more without paying separately for my burger and fries

Did drive thru and the food was cold, old and under a heat lamp wayyyyyyu tooooo long. A&W #9312 on torbay road on Sunday 14 Nov order #563. I should have taken it right back and asked for my money back. I understand fast food is fast however that was not fit for consumption let alone to pay for!

On our way travelling home... We got off the highway for a stretch and some lunch. Stopping at an A and W which I hadn't been to for years! Thought their lousy food and high prices had changed. Apparently NOT!
We ordered 2 burgers... one fries.. one onion rings and 2 "famous" a&w root beers.
The burgers were a joke! Expecting a quarter pounder or something similar we got what looked like a kids burger... the bun was stale and crumbled as we unpackaged it...minimal toppings... and the fries were cold and the FAMOUS rootbeer... came out of the fountain nicely watered down.
To top it off.. this cost...27.00 dollars? What a joke!
Your commercials fooled me.. but.. only this one time. NEVER again!
Anybody should be embaressed to serve this food and to charge that much for this... "food". YUCH!

Teen Burger and Diet Root Beer
Today we stopped by A&W, Willow Street, Truro, NS and went to the drivethru. Ordered a Teen Burger and Diet Root Beer for my husband. The young man was very friendly and personable so not a problem with your staff, however, as we travelled my husband took a bite of the burger and stated it was not hot at all. In fact, barely warm Then he tasted his root beer and it was like water. Certainly not like your root beer usually tastes. I tasted it as well. Not very nice. We would have gone back but we already were headed home which is an hour away so my husband was having lunch as we drove. Not the first time we have had food from this location which was not up to par. Normally we stop at the Robie Street location where the food is always great and hot and the root beer tastes like root beer.
Desired outcome: Improve the drinks and food. Make sure that the food is actually hot and pop tastes like pop.
Kiddy cheese burger had moldy bun.
A&W at the Clearview location: #1737. Red Deer Ab.On Oct 15, 2021 my family ordered dinner at A&W. My son had the kids cheeseburger which he ate half of before throwing it on the floor. When I picked it up I noticed the bun was covered in green mold. I called the restaurant and complained to the manager. He took my email address and told me that someone would contact me. No one contacted me!

It has been about three weeks ago at 5:45 pm I went into Olds AB restaurant to place an order for two all day breakfast specials with no bacon, 3 eggs over easy I was informed there was no sausage links and would I like patties instead which I agreed with the cashier had to ask the manager about substituting bacon for an egg which I was told it takes 3 bacon for 1 egg I said that is fine as I gave you 4. For the second breakfast I would like an extra hashbrown at which time the manager comes onto the scene and was going to charge me for 3 extra hashbrowns, while the cashier and I was discussing this error I saw that my order was being prepared at the prep counter after all this was sorted out (not to my satisfaction but I gave in) it was 15 mins later the manager handed me the meals I said that I would not take them as they would be cold from sitting on the counter and eggs cannot be reheated she replied that I kept changing my mind I said how can that be as I was still placing my order she said my money would be refunded as my business was not welcome there plus the do not sell breakfast at supper time when I pointed out the sign in the window saying all day breakfast and I would like fresh meals, she went into the back after 10 - 15min later I ask the cashier what was happening he replied they were making fresh meals I said thank and continued to wait. When I got home the meals had been reheated the eggs were hard and there was no sausages. My wife ended up with 2 hasbrowns and 2 hard eggs for her supper. Naturally now I was very angry so I went back with a copy of the menu from the website but she would nothing to do with and told me again that I was not welcome as I was to disrupted to the staff.
The ideal resolution to this is the manager disciplined and a refund issued
I am sorry it has took so long to get this in but it was difficult to find out how to send it.

50 cents to spread Chipotle sauce on a sandwich
Came in to buy a dbl buddy no cheese, no mustard, no grilled onion.instead with Chipotle sauce on the sandwich. for adding Chipotle sauce they charged me 50 cents extra on a 3.35$ sandwich. This is highway robbery what A$W is doing. That's around 60% higher than buddy. Convince me y should I spend my money on an A&W. Management need to be less greedy.!

Got big black stone like thing in my fries bought from a and w at country hills stone calgary
This is about a foreign particle that i got i my fries purchased on august 9, 2021 around 6:30 pm. I have the picture and the receipt saved. I was really shocked as that stone like thing crushed under my tooth. I had to get my X-rays done for my root canal tooth as i started paining after that. I would really appreciate some action as i was severe food safety issue.

I was at your Orangeville location (Broadway st). I Recieved poor service... But that isn't why I am complaining. I was halfway through my burger and almost choked on a sharp plastic bread clip. I do not see how that could have happened other than deliberately. I was offered a refund and the lady said she would make me another one. Sorry but at this point I didn't trust any food from this location. The drink came with no ice and the cup was sticky with pop running down the side. Then I waited for almost 10 minutes for the food. The girl that gave it to me shoved it in my window and walked away without saying anything. I usually let things slide but this was a bit much... Especially due to the fact that this could have very easily choked me.
I want a response as to what will be done about this. I've taken pictures and video of the burger, plastic bread clip and the location.

This morning we stopped at AS Restaurant at 12700 Hwy 50, BOLTON ON, L7E 1L9. Tel: [protected]. We ordered food to dine in, the service was super slow. Only one other customer waiting for his order. This was mid morning Saturday, 18th of September 2021. The female manager and another employee was working the counter. People who arrived at the drive thru after we placed our orders were served first and this continue to carry on and on. We were not the only customers been treated in this manner. My husband eventually asked where our food was, the female manager in charged then said we could have a refund? Our order after another while was given to another customer waiting for his order. He checked and said it was not his order. He spent his whole break waiting for his order, a wrap?...
When we finally got our breakfast for dine in, the eggs was all broken over the paper plate, the food all mixed on the paper plate. I then got up and asked the female manager for salt and pepper, she pretended not to hear me and none of the other employees helped me either. She continued to fill and take orders for the drive thru. I went and sat down and ate what I could, the food was cold. While we were eating, the female manage and employee then said they should close the dine in option of the restaurant. This location was not only unable to produce what AW stands for but it was evident they did not care about the customers. The establishment was dirty, the floors sticky with grease or dirt. The whole environment was one of lack of cleanliness. The health department and yourselves should pay this location a visit. As for the staff, they treated not just ourselves, but everyone else who came for the dine in experience the same way, extremely rude and terrible. We will never go back there ever again. They give a bad name to AW.
Desired outcome: Close location, sanitize the location, get staff who actually care about the customers and the food they serve.
