A&W serving unmasked patrons
At my local A&W they continue to serve people that come into the store without masks contrary to the City of Calgary and the Provincial Government regulations. What is this store going to do on Monday Sept 20 when to be served patrons must show proof of vaccination and have masks on. Today I observed an unmasked patron get his breakfast and stuff from the condiments table, he ate his breakfast and then returned the unused condiments to the table. Alberta is in the middle of a 4th wave surge in covid cases with over 2000 new cases yesterday. I talked to the manager several days ago and he just shrugged his shoulders. I am a senior I wear a mask and have had two doses of the vaccine, I am concerned. I do know that a lot of people are not coming into this store because of their practices.

Damage to my vehicle
I went to A&W and the employee handled the money from another customer with her hands and then handled my burger, making it and putting it in the bag. When I told her that I did not want a burger that was handled with the same hands as money was just handled, she said she wouldn't redo it at first and then said it would take a very long time to redo it despite there being no customers in the store or the drive-through at that time. As I returned to my car, a young employee came out and banged the wall in front of my car with a large dirty mat that was at the entrance to the store. The stones, sand and salt pelted my windows because it was windy and during a blizzard. I honked the horn and he turned around and I motioned him to stop. He deliberately kept on doing it. My windows were badly scratched. The franchise owner would not return my calls or deal with the situation, so Head Office eventually stepped in and I made an Agreement with them that they would reimburse me for part of the damage. I said I was being very reasonable. I settled for a very low amount as they promised to send me payment right away. However, the Franchise dealer would not honour the Agreement so I filed court documents against her. Now she has retained a high priced law firm who has filed a totally false and misleading Defence. However, the Defence is filled with contradictions, and their false statements conflict with what their own evidence shows. I think this proves they have no defence and a total lack of credibility. They originally admitted they viewed the video tape outside the restaurant and admitted they saw the employee banging the mat against the wall and the stones flying and me waving at him to stop so I will rely on Spoilage in court, which means that if they do not produce the tape evidence, it can be assumed that the reason is because the tape clearly shows their negligence. The lawyer even went on to say in the Defence that they want to claim for an "offset" against me, because the franchise owner "might" have lost money because I posted an online complaint on the company's website. Everyone has a right to post their personal experiences online. So now that they are further wasting my time with this unethical lawyer, trying to scare me into dropping my lawsuit, I am now going online and posting additional complaints about what occurred. I will not be intimidated and threatened. She was informed originally that if she reneged on the Agreement I made with Head Office, that I would post complaints online and file a legal action, but now she says that this has embarrassed her, when in actuality, she has deliberately caused the embarrassment to herself. The company told her to resolve the issue and to be professional, but she defied them and reneged on the Agreement they made with me. Based on their pathetic Defence and the false statements it contains, I am encouraged that I will be successful in court. Meanwhile, she already has paid a fortune to this law firm when she could have settled for a few hundred dollars originally. They are known in my city for overcharging customers, so a simple meeting with them and having them write the Defence and file it, has already cost her thousands of dollars. She is more concerned with retaliating against me and being in control, than cutting her losses and being a decent human being and a responsible business owner. She will not respond to my original complaint about the employee handling the food after handling money, and it was additionally appalling because it was during the start of Covid when precautions were supposed to be place. Maybe I should report her to the Health Unit also. So be very careful when you go to A&W, as clearly the Franchise owners are not ethical and certainly not concerned with health and safety issues and sanitary conditions in their store. Their Defence is actually quite hilarious, as they say in one sentence that the one owner called me and then said that in that same telephone call I refused to giver her my contact number. So how did she call me? I also have a recording of a message left by the Franchise owner, that clearly proves what they are saying in the Defence is fabricated. I am encouraged by the fact that the Defence they filed is so full of their own contradictory statements, that they have caused themselves to lose all credibility. One sentence says the employee just shook the mat and another sentence says he banged it on the wall. One sentence says the car was 10 to 15 feet from the door, and another sentence says it was 10 feet from the door. The emails and quotes from the body shops, included with their own Defence, contradicts what their Defence says. Not very smart. It will be interesting to see what the Franchise owner does when she realizes her high priced lawyer has ruined her case for her.
Desired outcome: I want the full cost of all three windshields given to me immediately.
Food
I went to the a&w drive through on holiday Inn drive in Cambridge Ontario at 2:40 pm on September 8th. First of all I asked for extra ketchup with my spicy jalapeño chicken sandwich meal. Went to eat and fries were stone cold and no ketchup on napkins.
I went back into the store got ketchup, went to eat and noticed entire meal is cold, went back in and they replaced the meal, I kept the drink as no reason to replace it. Got back in my car to eat again and new sandwich is raw inside, go to get a drink and instead of the iced tea I ordered I recieved root beer.

The food was not good at all the hamburger was cold and had no taste the onion rings were crumply and not good at all the washrooms were not clean even the staff and did not have clean clothes and that was at the Elmira Ontario a&w
All Canadian breakfast
-diet root beer sent back twitch it was flat
- had white toast with my order it came with no butter and cold. Asked for it to be buttered the second two orders came out for us brown toast. I said white. And globs of butter on it. We lost our appetite and left. What a waste of 33$

My friends and I were were treated with the utmost disrespect from your employees today while celebrating the indigenous people and spreading awareness of the mass genocide of our country, that those of your company, respresentatives, treated my bretheren with such disrespect. We walked in... The boy couldn't get our order straight. Then couldn't even count our change out. I told him how much change to give. He asked a girl that was lost as he was... Then they gave no receipt or order number. The manager got mad because we're done now to get our food. Got snotty... And we told them no receipt... The food was not made right...

I bought a blt chicken burger today May 6, 2021. They made a mistake of my order first but fix Ed after I found out after I got home and phone them.
2. There is a huge mistake. My daughter found out that there is flex seed in her burger after she found it. I call the restaurant right away ask them what kind of bun they use for both. They told me is sever grain but they do not know what are the seven grains. They asked me to find out myself online. They call me short after and read me the ingredients. I told them I only need to know what are the seven grains and their attitude a so terrible. I told them why there is not sign on their manu that the bread is seven grains. Thee restaurant blame me that I did not ask them. They even told me do not eats fast food. It is so rude and unbelievable.
chicken blt and fries
I bought a chicken blt fries and orange juice at approx 3 pm this afternoon from A & W Sechelt BC Canada.
The fries were old and luke warm, I asked for some fresh ones, they just microwaved the ones I gave them... they were even worse then. The blt was with me within 30 seconds and was obviously not fresh. I gave the fries to the crows at the beach.
I usually get better food at this location but was very disappointed today and I think you need to know because it made me not want to go there ever again.

No gloves / dirty hands
Hello! I just moved to vancouver and have been to the A&W on Granville a couple times now. The first time I was there I noticed that no one wears gloves but there were seperate people doing food and cashier (SHOULD still be wearing gloves handling food especially during covid). I didn't complain the first time but when I went in today the guy that touched the register and took my payment was also doing all the food preprations - without gloves and without washing his hands.
A lady than came from on the company phone, again didn't wash her hands and proceed to put her hands directly on my food and the man who ordered before me. She grabbed the entire top of his onion rings with her bare dirty hands. I just can't believe that would be going on when it's something so simple to fix. I left and could not eat my Beyond combo's because I didn't think it was clean, but did not want to insite confrontation in the store by asking them to wear gloves myself as I am not the manager.
I'm wondering if I can get some beyond coupons for combos to replace the two meals from today and if someone can let me know that health and safety measures are being properly followed from here on out or I'm sad to say I will no longer be a customer. Thank you!

discusting coke
the two part mix of coke an carbonation is severly descusting! an has been for the last number of years its heavy corn syrup with stale cola flavouring there needs to be better regulations about the mixing of the coke syrup am carbonation wich this product has none it was at the 860 Esquimalt Road - A&W location in my hometown of victoria bc Canada

Quality
A&W has always been my favourite fast food restaurant. I always get onion rings with my order the last few times I have been there there is barely any batter on the rings, they are over cooked and grossly over seasoned. They used to always be perfect and delicious, at some locations they still are the good quality perfect rings I've grown up eating. But tonight I couldn't even finish them, it was just a bag of onions that were to salty to even eat.

On March 21, 2021 I patronized your A&W/LJS location in Collinsville, Illinois.
I simply ordered 2 #A! With beverage upgraded to Root Beer float. Our order was placed at 2:33 PM. Only one customer in front of my order. I waited about 15 minutes and asked cashier how much longer and all I got in a few minutes. A couple of minutes later the first order came out. This order was mostly LJS food. I asked again how long then I got they waited 17 minutes. I understand their order taking longer, but that doesn't mean a grill order can't be completed. When I finally received my dine in order bagged. The burgers had been opened and rewrapped, the cheese wasn't melted the whole burger was cold, but the fries were hot. After receiving my order 30 minutes later and cold I had enough. I went to the register and requested a refund. Was told I had to wait for the manager. Needless to say I waited several more minutes and had to ask again. Once the manager finally came to the register she had a very bad attitude. A refund was issued for the food only! After the long wait and cold food your manager had the nerve to charge us for the root beer floats. All I can say is your manager needs to be sent to class on how to treat customers!
Our order # was XX93 that day. Even the next order behind us can only a couple of minutes behind us, but the cashier didn't follow up on pick up and their food was also closed. The Manager did replace their food.

Went to Champlainin Dieppe N. B bought a cheesseburger 8.29 dollars for it. 2 cheeseburger a fry and a pop for 4.99 at BURGER KING, you are saying that its grass fead so by nature at almost no cost why is the prize and at macdonad it 1.88 for a cheeseburger are you out of your mind.Your losing customer here in Dieppe a fry cheeseburger and a pop with half water 12.77 wow what a joke

I was at the nearest A&W when I ordered the teen burger and onion rings. Location is 51st avenue and gateway in Edmonton Alberta the burger tasted bad and the onion rings were burnt not impressed and it's not the first time I've encountered this the bacon tasted funny and it was just all bad

Free coffee
Tried the new blend of coffee for free in the 2 weeks of Jan 2021 in multiple locations in greater Vancouver, they are good except one location. On Jan 13 and 14 at the one at the corner of pine tree way/lougheed hwy in Coquitlam, terrible coffee.
The worst ever coffee in my life, worse than even using the same coffee for a 2nd brew... No mistake... You can tell by the color of the coffee when it is being poured into the cup, just terrible. Gave them another chance the next day and just as bad. I believe the restaurant is trying to save on the free giveaway coffee, unethical and a bad image for the franchise...

At 5.51pm dec, 16 2020 I made a drive through order and had to go inside to pay (window was frozen) and the server matthieu was extremely rude. I guess we bothered him at his dinner because he forcely threw it in the garbage and took our fires with ungloved hands and forced them in the bag... I threw away when I got home. The commercial carrries on how the "beef" farmers are growing grass.
The grass on which the beef cattle are grazing to get slaughtered! No one thinks that the cattle have to die to get your burgers! Far as I am concerned they can eat cans! It is inhumane to kill animals. You say you grow grass then grow wheat, oats, barley, flax, mustard if you say you are "grass growers" you are murderers!
