Airport operations and baggage handling process
On April 12, I returned to BWI on a flight from Denver. The SW Air flight 437 was on time and landed at approx 10:05 pm. The plane remained on an active taxi way for approx 35 minutes due to the gate being accupied by another plane. Even though several other gates nearby were vacant, no attempt to use those gates was made (to our knowledge).
When we finally deplaned, we proceeded to the baggage claim area (approx 11:00p). About 11:15p the first drop of luggage came to carousel 1. Our luggage was not in this drop. Over the next 30 minutes, 2-3 other arriving planes had their luggage dropped at carousel 1, creating confusion amongst the Denver passengers. While there were several vacant carosels nearby, the baggage handlers continued to send the drops to carousel 1. I was also waiting for an oversized piece of luggage.
At approx 1200a, 2 hrs after landing, our luggage was finally dropped at carousel 2 (without a warning announcement) and the oversized luggage was delivered..
We then made our way to parking lot B were I was charged an extra days' parking fee (for 4/13) because I exited the lot after midnight. I have a copy of my receipt if you need it.
I would appreciate it if you could refund me the excess charge for parking, since I had plenty of time to retrieve my luggage and make it to the parking lot before midnight.
I want you to know that I am reconsidering my choice of airports to fly from since there are 3 airports in the Baltimore Washington area that are about the same distance from my home. This is not the first time I have had to wait an exorbitant amount to time to receive my checked luggage. I fly regularly and do not have this issue at other airports. I am not an unreasonable person and I understand things can get delayed, but you need to understand that people do not factor in a 2 hr delay in their trip to account for deplaning and luggage retrieval. If this were the only time it happened, you would not be hearing from me.
I appreciate your help in this matter and look forward to hearing from you.
Desired outcome: Return my parking fee for 4/13.I would also appreciate a response regarding your baggage handling process and how it can be improved.
Baggage Claim Service
I'm a frequent flyer who typically will have checked luggage. We just returned home from a trip to Denver, and once again, the time it took for our checked luggage to arrive on the turnstyle at BWI is outrageously ridiculous. In comparison, Denver is a HUGE airport, but by the time we got to the turnstyles, our luggage was already available to us. And, I have found that practically every airport we have been to is similar to Denver, with luggage already being available upon, or soon after, arriving to the turnstyles. How can BWI possibly explain this? There were a LOT of angry BWI customers waiting for their luggage at past midnight when you are already tired, and now frustrated for having to wait 45 minutes for your luggage. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.
Desired outcome: Hire a whole new team of baggage handlers that can do their job efficiently!
Restrooms on B and C toilets are not clean
In the last month, I have flew on three flights from BWI. On each trip I have used the women’s restrooms and found the toilets filthy. There is excrement embedded in each toilet I have used. It is clear the custodial crew is not properly cleaning the toilets. I hope you can review this issue and have a thorough cleaning in the restrooms in quick order.

bloody mary/hakeem
I had a few minutes to spare before my flight and decided to get a Bloody Mary. Hakeem, the bartender, acted like I was bothering him when I asked for a drink. He was at the other end of the bar talking to customers. He brought me the Bloody Mary, which was overwhelmingly spicy. He was VERY rude. He didn't bother to tell me that it was heavily spiced. I just happened to ask how much the Bloody Mary was and I was in disbelief when she said $15! I asked for one to be made without the spices and was told that the only one they served was the $15 one. I am used to being overcharged in airport bars, but the price for that drink is RIDICULOUS. Hakeem needs to find another line of work where he has no contact with the public.

I was moving to US from india on H1B the visa and after I-94 clear, a CBP officer at airport perform of a search on the official laptop in my possession.
To my amaze, it had some pornographic image, which were consider under age of 18 year old by CBP officer. I could not move US
Now 5 year ban has been imposed for entry into US. pls advice how can i get this ban removed. I have a work job starting in the IBM nex week and salary is to high to walk away. pls help as I plan to buy huose India for relations to relocate.
Also, meanwhile if i decide to migrate to some other country, how will they treat my case ? Which country also have the guest worker middle class like H1b in US. I went school too very long for this headsplit.

My complaint is luggage handling, I don’t know if you have camera’s in the luggage area, but I purchased $100 or more in souvenirs for my family and kids and to get home to find out, all my souvenirs were gone, is very disturbing! I was so upset to tell my 6 year old son, the car I purchased him in Vegas was taken by the baggage people at the airport.
My flight departed from Vegas at 11:25 am on Flight 788 to Charlotte, NC, I missed my flight, so I had to take a 10:25 flight, and my luggage was located at baggage claim office when I arrived at BWI, that was great…..I did not even think someone would have gone into my luggage, so I did not observe. I took my luggage home, I did not get home until 2am on 9/22/08, so I did not unpack my luggage, but when I got up at 6am to get ready for work and take my kids to school, I was excited to show my son his new car, and to my disappointment none of my items were in the bag; very disturbing! I know I can’t get the items back, but the disappointment on my sons face, was priceless! And that’s why I’m writing this complaint. I’ve been traveling for years all around the world, and have never had problems with anyone taking items from my luggage. I would like to hear from someone in writing on how a situation like this is handled.

Several months ago I complained about the electrical outlets on concourse C and D, and the esponse sais they "had been fixed." Please check this erroneous information. The plugs are there but you cannot plug anything in without it falling out. PLEASE FIX IT.
Traveling just became dangerous for me... On a crowded shuttle to a parking garage where I had to pay $10 a day, I was literally attacked by an insane woman who thought it quite appropriate to shove me until I almost fell down. The bus was overcrowded and luggage was stacked in the aisle but she decided I was her punching bag. I kept trying to back up out of her way and she just kept throwing er should into me like she was tackling someone in a football game. The man whose luggage blocked the aisle was trying to move it and she kept shoving me until he told her to stop... you just can't do things like that... no apology. no eye contact. I have to say that I'm almost 60 and she was 20-something.
Numerous items were missing
I was on flight #0041 on Sunday July 9, 2006 from Montego Bay, Jamaica to Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) and upon my arrival I discovered numerous items were missing from my luggage.
Following is a list of those items:
· Cannon Elf Digital Camera (Value $350 US)
· Garmin GPS running watch (Value $250 US)
· Electronic cords (ipod, phone charger, laptop charger)
· Cologne
I have filed complaints with the US Federal Aviation Administration, US Better Business Bureau and Baltimore Washington International Airport.
