Transfer
Dear Sirs,
I chose Emirates the first time for an intercontinental flight and my expectations were very high. Unfortunately they couldn't be met and concerning the transfer I must say that I find it very inconvenient and totally unnecessary to have an additional security check when just transferring between terminals. It shows a mistrust in the global community and is inconvenient for passengers. I really don't know where your good reputation comes from.
If possible, it will be Lufthansa again next time.
Kind regards,
Prof. Christian Kogler

carry on baggage checking
My checking bag was stopped after scanning due to a roll of medical tape. I attempted to explained to the police / boarder control the tape was for medical reasons as my knee bone /patella needed strapping especially after showering. My knee is waiting for surgery and I need to use the tape to keep my knee bone in place.
X2 officers came as another person attempted to call to see if he could allow it.The second office seemed to appear frustrated with the time I was waiting and without asking said no this will not be allowed. I am unable to put it in my case as I need to apply after my shower.I attempted again to say its for medical reasons however the office just put it in the bin.i cannot express how much pain I was in without my medically prescribed tape to hold a displace bone in place when walking. I am absolutely upset for the pain I was left in and for how they did not care it was a medical tape. I wish to take this complaint further due to the effects of how my knee was then left and in excruciating pain I was left in.

The way the ladies prayer room is used
I am writing to request for airport authorities to implement rules relating to respectful use of the ladies prayer room at gate B29, Dubai International Airport. Today, 13 May at 7.10 am I went to use the prayer room and three women entered making a lot of
noise. They then proceeded to step into the prayer area with their shoes on and one lady went right to the front of the room
where the Qibla was, to lie down and put her legs up on the wall which is disruptive for other ladies who wanted to pray. They then went on to talk and laugh loudly making it difficult for others to concentrate. They did not come to
pray but to lie down, talk and laugh loudly with each other. Please look into
ways to
make the prayer room a more respectul
space.
Desired outcome: Please enforce rules relating to respectful use of prayer room
Duty free and staff rudeness
Complaint Regarding Misinformation and Rude Behavior by Staff Members
Dear Customer service
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding an incident that occurred during my recent layover at Dubai airport. I arrived at the airport for an 8-hour layover on [date] and encountered a series of issues that have left me dissatisfied with the service provided.
Upon my arrival, I approached the ground staff to seek clarification regarding the permissibility of carrying a 1L duty-free bottle, which was sealed in the provided bag. I specifically asked if it would be acceptable to leave the airport and re-enter for my connecting flight, and I was assured by the staff members that there would be no problem. In addition, when I inquired about checking in my bag due to the bottle, I was told it was unnecessary since I had a connecting flight.
However, upon passing through the security checkpoint, I was informed that my bottle had been confiscated because it exceeded the permitted liquid limit of 150ml. I immediately explained the situation, emphasizing that I had received contradictory information from the ground staff. Regrettably, the security personnel I approached responded with rudeness and indifference, stating, "I don't care," before walking away without providing any further assistance. Despite my persistence, I received no explanation or resolution.
In a subsequent attempt to seek help, I approached an Emirates counter, where I encountered further disrespect. The staff member on duty was preoccupied with his phone and treated me dismissively, shooing me away and directing me to the information counter. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with his behavior, his response was unnecessarily rude.
To my dismay, despite the assurances I received from your staff members, my duty-free bottle was confiscated without any proper explanation or consideration for the conflicting information provided. This experience has left me questioning the competence and professionalism of the airport's personnel. Furthermore, it raises concerns about the accuracy and consistency of information provided to passengers.
As a customer, I work diligently for my money and do not expect to have my possessions taken away without a valid reason or proper explanation. The lack of accountability, courtesy, and professionalism displayed by your staff members is highly disheartening.
I kindly request that you thoroughly investigate this incident and take appropriate actions to address the issues raised. I believe it is crucial for the airport's management to ensure that its staff members are properly trained, well-informed about the rules and regulations, and capable of providing accurate and consistent information to passengers.
Moreover, I would appreciate it if you could clarify the policies and guidelines regarding duty-free items and their transportation within the airport premises. It is disconcerting to find myself in a situation where I am unable to enjoy the benefits of duty-free shopping due to inconsistent information and lack of clarity regarding the rules.
I trust that you will take my complaint seriously and address the matter promptly. I kindly request a written response within [specific time frame] to acknowledge my complaint and inform me of any actions taken to rectify the situation.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a satisfactory resolution.
Yours sincerely

Official worker
I asked from official worker not to give my seat in the middle between two men. She said ok but after I got in I was between two men on 26th of January Fly Dubai to Istanbul seat number 30E. Instead of asking what am I doing in Turkey which is none of her business it’s better to focus on her work deeply. I asked flight attendant to change my seat.

Slow and obsolete shuttle bus service
I was travelling via Dubai from Kolkata to Toronto on Jan12, 2023. I landed around 12.15 am at Dubai airport. To my utter surprise there was no jet bridge for the Kolkata-Dubai Emirates passengers! They were ushered in shuttle buses instead. When a passenger like me had a connecting flight to catch, this incident was extremely disturbing and this caused me missing my flight eventually. I travelled like 20+ min in the bus, without any knowledge which terminal the bus was taking me to. For this kind of services, the airport staff need to be more caring and knowledgeable about each and every passenger including his or her travelling detail.
Desired outcome: I would like you to consider this matter and respond accordingly.

Bad treatment by Dubai airport official
Arriving from Kathmandu with my wife we had 2 typical old souvenir Gourkha knives with little sharpening knives and leather scabbards in our big luggage. We had only a short relax stopover in Dubai in a 5-star hotel after a tough 3 weeks Trekking Tour in Himalaya. After the luggage scanner at 19h45 in Terminal 2, I was ordered by Mr. Saeed Achmed Mohammed to come aside and show the metal objects detected. He sent my wife away very authoritative and examined our souvenirs with great interest. He informed me, that I had to hand over those objects. I protested and told him, that you can by those souvenirs everywhere, also in Dubai so why are they taken away from travelling Tourists who spend a fair amount of money in Dubai. I am 62 years old and a senior manager of a government owned Energy Group and my wife is 57 years old and partner of an international Big Four Chartered Accountant Firm and we do not look like terrorists at all. We told him that we would prefer to deposit our old souvenirs at the airport or that we wish to find a solution, as we will soon continue our return to Austria. He was obviously more interested in the beautiful souvenirs than in finding a solution for the problem. His colleague gave clearly the impression, that he did not feel at ease with the procedure of his superior, Mr. Saeed. The objects were in a typical red bag from the bazar and I wanted to see my precious things again to make a photo and also to take the harmless items like the little sharpening tools and the leather scabbards. Mr. Saeed became increasingly aggressive and did not allow this. When I then started to make pictures at least of the bag/wrapping he became completely furious, took my mobile phone away and ordered me to destroy the photos. He then started to argue that I would not respect him and tried to distract the conflict into emotional sphere and personal allegations in order to completely make us feel insecure what comes next as an escalation and we felt all at sea. My wife waiting still in forced distance but anxiously watching and listening. Mr. Saeed then forced me to sign a form allowing that my objects will be taken and destroyed. He did not throw them in a typical bin for things to be destroyed but laid it in a shelf. This looked more than storing it for own private use or selling it on the market for himself. I therefore wanted to orderly complete the form prior to signing and I tried to insist but he said very sharp that it is not necessary to complete the A4-form sheet but I had to sign it. I protested again and said I want at least make a photo of the form which I am forced to sign blank which Mr. Saeed very firmly refused. Thus I gave up and signed it blank (!) in order to frighten my wife not more than she was already and in order to get away from this aggressive officer. I told him that I will formerly complain because of this extremely bad treatment and that I will also inform my government of this shameful treatment of paying guests. He became even more aggressive but at least I was allowed to leave. In my life I have never been humiliated in such a way and I am deeply concerned, that as visiting and paying guest of the luxury segment of a civilized country one can be treated by government clerks in such an appealing manner like a chunk of dirt.
Desired outcome: Feed-back by superior of the airport officer in question and returning of goods taken away by this person

On Aug 4th 2022, I booked my flight PNR-RC5S3J ticket number-[protected] from Dubai to Ahmedabad and it was connecting flight from Philadelphia-Doha-Dubai-Ahmedabad. The reason for my journey was my father was in ICU in critical condition.
When I reached from my flight from Doha-Dubai, I have to catch my next flight Dubai-Ahmedabad which was departing 12:10 am. I reached at the area 5 which was scheduled for my flight SG16 DXB-AMD at 10:30. ((YOU CAN CHECK THE CAMERA AT THE AREA 5))
There was huge line up and totally crowded not even lines people were flocking everywhere, after waiting in line/ crowded people when I reach to the entrance of the area 5 the person told me that SG16 flight is at area 2 not in area 5, I went outside after waiting there for 15-20 mins, the display was still showing area 5, when I reached at area 2 at the SpiceJet counter it was about 11:00 (( CHECK THE CAMERA AT AREA 2)), The person said that counter is closed and he cannot do anything, I explained the situation and showed the display at area 2 , which was still showing to got to area 5, he was also shocked (( DISPLAY PICTURE TOOK FROM AREA 2 IN FRONT OF SPICEJET EMPLOYEE))
He told me to visit SpiceJet office at second floor, I went there with my luggage with knee problem, I met there with Mr Nilesh Gothankar, explained everything but they did not help at all ! It was 11:20 at second floor SpiceJet office.
I HAD TO STAY AT DUBAI AIRPORT FOR 15 HOURS WITHOUT ANY HELP, MY WHOLE TRIP WAS DUE TO MY FATHERS SICKNESS, NO ONE HELPED ME AT ALL AT DUBAI AIRPORT, I EVEN MAT WITH DUBAI DUTY MANAGER AND ALSO ANOTHER SPICEJET MANAGER, WHO SIMPLE TOLD ME TO BOOK ANOTHER FLIGHT ! I BOOKED ANOTHER FLIGHT OF $300.
I WANT TO FILE A SERIOUS COMPLAINT AGAINST DUBAI AIRPORT AUTHORITY WHO DID NOT HELP ME AND STRANDED ON DUBAI AIRPORT . WAITING FOR REPLY.

Immigration officer
Immigration officer in Dubai Passport control shouting at my daughter (11 year) and my wife. I politely asked the officer not to be rude. He shouted and threatened me to report to US embassy of my conduct. He confronted me that I called him rude. He was clearly misusing his authority. People like this officer should not be allowed to be in these positions who don’t even understand proper English. The smart passport control is not smart enough and for a underage to figure this on her own is difficult. This resulted in this immigration officer shouting at her. This happened when we friends visited Dubai for 5 days and going back to Hyderabad. It was a bitter experience and the immigration officer needs to be trained to be polite and patient. Very rude behavior. I just silently listened to his rants.
Desired outcome: Immigration officers need to understand English and train them to be polite to passengers.
