Bank Of Oklahoma 401k

I've been trying to close out my 401k from my former employer for over a month. I sent the requested paperwork, notarized, & heard nothing.

Now they're making excuses & blaming my former employer. I don't care, it's my account, in my name, containing my money. I couldn't possibly care less what my previous employer thinks, you have held my money hostage w/o justification or legal authority, & you need to overnight me the check immediately.

Desired outcome: Immediately close that account & send me the balance.

Weeks ago I spoke to them about taking the 401k from my old employer to my rollover ira, they sent me the paperwork, I filled it out, got it notarized & sent it back.

Then not a word. Then when I call them they have only excuses.

They are holding my 401k hostage despite the fact that I sent them the paperwork, every time I call it's another bs excuse. This is my account & my money, & this is probably criminal.

Bank Of Oklahoma One credit a year on fees $35.00 each

My name is matt mitchell and im 62 years old and disabled. In [protected] I lost the love of my life of 30 years and our only child a son 24 years old a week a part to covid. It was the most hardest time of my life, I was thinking about any thing except saving there lives but I failed all those sleepless nites of thinking how can help them. But after losing them a couple months later I had heart surgery that the doctors thought the cause of stress and going thru a broken heart was the problem never had a heart problem before. But during this time in the hospital I wasnt able to get money over to cover bills coming thru my daughter inlaw was late a couple of times making the deposit and when I got home I wasnt able to drive for weeks but I called bok explained my situation and letting them know in hopes they would waive the fees the first time they did two but still had a couple but before getting money transfer I got rushed back to the hospital so those fees started feeding off one another and started growing you get the idea so im going to cut for my main reason for this complaint was the last couple of times I talked to supervisors and it was like they were chastising me talking down to me as if I was doing this on purpose she didnt cared about my family in which I would never use there death in that way nor did she care about my health, she said I will do just one but you are responsible for the others. I told her im on a fixed income but it didnt matter it kept growing I had to not order to of my medications today to deposit $100.00. Who would think $35.00 meant so much to a bank to where we collect this at all cost no matter what, I had to be made to feel so little of a person for some one not even half my age talk to me like they did. They have been in trouble before that was pointed out to me. Why is americans taking american lives and getting rich from the loss of one million american lives. It also made me think if it happened to you in the big office in the corner how would you feel would you apply the no reason/ accuse policy, my family will always come first and wouldnt change any thing. I hope you are happy with the $100 deposit which is 3 medications it had to be paid no matter if I close the account or not, its also my way of saying I want to do the right thing even if it effects my health.

Desired outcome: Just some understanding, from people in positions to make a difference in so many lives. I was going to ask for a refund but if they need it that bad let them keep it.

Bank Of Oklahoma External transfer Rereturnd

I made an external transfer on 6th April of $2500 from another bank. They told it will reflect on 12th April. I called them several times to the bank asking the status. They said if the other bank give the fund to them only then they will reflect the money. Before that they won’t. On 12th April the money got reflect, I used it. But on 14th April I got over drown charges. They are saying the other bank is recalling the money. Like seriously? I am not the one in fault here. The BOK got the money from the bank, than they reflected the money. Now, it's between them as the bank. Why they are charging me? So, I am complaining again the bank of Oklahoma.

Bank Of Oklahoma excessive overdraft and account fees

In the last 30 days I have received well over $1, 000 in overdraft fees. I was previously unemployed for a short period and it caused my account to overdraw. BOK would reject charges and then charge overdraft fees. Debits would hit my account, be charged a $32.50 fee and rejected, only to hit my account again the following day and charged another $32.50. Neither time was it paid just rejected and charged. As a consumer, when Im already struggling the last thing that will help is my banking institution charging me more money just to do nothing.

I have called and asked for help and received 8 fees back. In the grand scheme of things you would thing that your bank could be in your corner and assist rather than hinder. I would like a refund of my fees a and and this would help me correct the account and move forward in a positive manner, If I can't get help through this channel, I will have to take it to the Better Business
Burea, its just a poor practice and a way for the bank to take money for the working class people.

Michael Chad Green

Desired outcome: Refund of fees or equitable compromise of d

I had the same thing happen to me a few years

ago, they rearranged the order the deposits and checks came in so they could get over draft fees of like $1500.00. They are crooks.

Bank Of Oklahoma Arbitrary Interpretation of federal rules and internal procedures- Assuming authority over family matters

Begining July 20, 2021 - August 15-2021 I have attempted to be added as authorized signatory on a family members account. Without following rules governing banking institutions, on July 20, 2021, I visted the bank with my family and at that time he gave verbal authoriation. I then asked for any forms, signature cards or the procedure to be added. I was told that she didnt have any and nothing existed. My family member and I questioned how a saving account was made a Money Market account that has less that 10K. We were told the person who changed the account was on maternity leave and they didnt have any information. Moreover, if it was a money market account, with a balance of less that 10K why was it accuring interest and not being charged fees. The family without me has yet to receive an explanation.

I followed all procedures, and jumped through the hoops prescribed albeit most were arbitrary and incorrectly interpreted to be included. I e-verified, my family member gave the account representative permission four times by the primary account holder, and I visted the bank with the account holder. Every step they created an arbitrary response for not adding me.
On July 26, 2021, I sent email asking questions regarding the Money Market account, the fact that my family is not and has not receiving any statements, and all related transactions. Although on July 20, 2021, during our meeting, my family member told the clerk Ms. Burchfield to provide me with the information, she did not.

The account holder was contacted by Ms. Burchfield who advised him that i needed to travel from CA to OK, to be added. The account holder was upset, and insisted they add me. They did not. Although they called him, they claimed that they could not verify him.

It is my intent to hold BOK, accountable for any misdealings or discrepancies that may have occured with this account. They are acting above and beyond their legal authority and providing me with arbitrary guidance, on how to handle family financial matters. I have been denied the opportunity to ensure financial stability and quickly make adjustments in the event of any discrepancies. We recently discovered a withdrawal of 10K, of which we don't have any supporting documents and although requested and I agreed to pay for statements, they have denied me and my family member correspondence.

Desired outcome: Add family member as an authorized representative to reconcile all transactions

Bank Of Oklahoma Closed account due to their lack of awareness and still have not received my funds

I was called on 11/10 and informed my account was closed, with no notice. 6 months prior to this call my husband had mistakenly canceled a transfer from a bank account that was set up for transfers via the Bank of Oklahoma application. I had made a call to customer service earlier in the week to tell them I had issues with making transfers. Due to the fact that I called customer care about this, the bank actually looked at my account and decided that because of the mistake 6 months ago my account was a risk. I was told that the remaining funds in my account would be mailed out the following week. Today, 12/08, I called and asked for a tracking number for the check. I was told the account was never closed and my funds have not been sent. Furthermore, Bank of Oklahoma does not track checks sent via the mail! Be careful! They will close your account without speaking to you, they are not monitoring what is going on in your account, they will not ensure you receive your funds and make it difficult to recoup your funds.

Bank Of Oklahoma mortgage

My loan was sold to BOK by my previous lender. My payment date was changed from the 15th of the month to the 1st without my knowledge or consent. We keep paying the mortgage within month but BOK charges $450.00 in late fees every month. "Customer service" claims that by policy the don't change payment dates. They are however happy to help me with forclosure. BOK is all about the fees. I did not think any institution could be worse than Wells Fargo but they did it.

Bank Of Oklahoma mortgage process neverending errors

Fw: BofABQ review
R W
Mon 1/13/2020 4:52 PM

I have been a customer of BofABQ (both the bank and their mortgage entity Bank of Oklahoma who is the conduit for home loans) since 2010 but no more. Why? They messed up and dragged their feet until I was forced to put their feet to the fire for a new sale loan I was working on with a relative on a house I was selling and then they completed messed up the process for a simple refinance of my a house I occupied into my name only-both the same time.

First, I was selling a house to a family member. No inspection required, no responses to the inspection, no agents, no counteroffers, nothing-just go straight to closing. Easy, right? Nope-not this go around. In total the utterly inept, lethargic loan officer who was assigned to the transaction just could not even get out ahead of this even a bit. I had to do his heavy lifting for him so that this simple transaction didn't end up taking 45 days (!) and instead got it closer to 35 days (you are welcome-and that was even too long). In 15', for a new purchase I was starting the timeline, from the time the offer was accepted to closing, was just 32 days AND there had to be an inspection scheduled, responses to the inspection go back and forth twice, an appraisal done and it also involved the gifting of money to meet the down payment requirement which was a whole other step that took more time. But I worked day in and day out closely with an experienced loan officer there and we pulled it off. This current loan officer out of the branch off of Paseo on the eastside had the audacity to send me an e-mail that said "it will be IMPOSSIBLE" to close before a certain date NO MATTER WHAT. Really? Obviously he didn't know who he was dealing with. I reached back out to a loan officer who did a refinance on this property with BofABQ years ago and his first question was why I wasn't working with him? I stated I just call into the 866 and they assigned this new guy to me-obviously hindsight is 20/20. He escalated me to the Regional Manager and after lots of back and forth we were able to close 8 full calendar days EARLIER once I applied pressure and a sense of urgency here in the Land of Manana. Not a day or two earlier but EIGHT FULL DAYS earlier-which he had stated was IMPOSSIBLE. Unbelievable.

Then it got even worse if that is even possible. The house I was looking to take out of this family member's name so they could purchase the house addressed above and refinance this one in my name only. And I was upfront and transparent with them from the beginning. To cut to the Chase, I had to walk away from an investment rental property near a golf course community in AZ that I bought and that quickly went south after the real estate crash of 08' like millions of other owners. I tried to work it for 5 years but it was a money pit and Chase Bank would not renegotiate the terms. The rule is 7 years no new home loans in one's name when you walk away. We were now past 7 years plus a few months. This same inept loan officer knew this up front and ran my credit report. It was not on there. I told him I noticed the same thing-my credit took a hit for while and then rebounded-it had gone dormant. He said he was going to write a conventional loan-great, no PMI, faster timeline. So they order the appraisal on the refi (which is yet another industry game-in this day and age there is NO REASON for these appraisals-except for extreme outliers out there with tools like Zillow and many others, the value of a house can easily be determined-all appraisals are is a job program for appraisers who's job are mostly useless just like real estate agents in this day and age) and it comes back. Then I get a call from his supervisor NOW telling me, OOPS, they can't write a conventional loan because they found the walk away. Duh. I told them it was out there but they screwed up-why didn't they get this right from the get go? Just a bunch of lame excuses followed.

This supervisor was as useless this inept loan officer and when this went down I demanded immediate action but he has the nerve to tell me on the phone on a Wednesday afternoon when this utter fiasco went down that he would get back to me sometime that Friday as he was "busy" in Santa Fe on Thursday-awesome customer service! What? Again I immediately escalated to the aforementioned Regional Manager and he took over the escalation that evening. Being that BofABQ is a large monolithic behemoth that is run by too many rules that they set up on themselves, I was told by him they would have to ORDER A BRAND NEW APPRAISAL and start all over again-3 full weeks wasted! While he offered to pay for it as now an FHA appraisal (again a total industry joke-I already had an appraisal in hand-just more of the "other's people's money" run around) it turns out I would have PMI for at least a few years now which was a COMPLETE NON-STARTER for me-after all, they are the ones who made the mistake not I. Luckily by chance I ran into a guy who was a loan officer for a smaller and more nimble local mortgage lender as this additional fiasco was unfolding and he told me this was complete unnecessary-based on situation and data he could get me a conventional loan with no PMI and at the same rate or better. Great-I was shopping around-deal done and now I was done with BofABQ now and forever though I purposely strung them along for another week writing up and resubmitting a new loan estimate that I just ignored-I wanted them to have to deal with just like I had to deal with.

One catch. Since he was writing a conventional loan as well, BofABQ was legally obligated to "transfer" the conventional appraisal I HAD PAID FOR AND THUS WAS MY PROPERTY. After two weeks of back and forth, they pettily refused to release it and I was forced to get ANOTHER appraisal done-an exact replica of the one done a few weeks earlier. In short, BofABQ was working me over and that was the straw that broke the camel's back. My new loan officer said in all of his years of doing this it was the first time this had happened where the appraisal was NOT transferred in this type of situation. I got the refinance done with the other mortgage company (finally-about two weeks later than it should have been) with no PMI and the same rate as BofABQ was offering and now I will never, ever work with BofABQ mortgage or any of their affiliates ever again. This was just a total debacle in both concurrent situations that I could not make up if I was trying and all along they could never find a workaround for their long time customer is now no longer one with them. No mortgages and no banking with them-I am done forever. Good riddance, BofABQ.

Bank Of Oklahoma mortgage service, return escrow funds

Account: [protected]
12 November 2019, my loan was paid in full. There was a credit of $271 in my ESCROW account. By law and company policy, they have 20 business days to send the refund. I counted the 20 business days which is 10 December.
27 November they sent a check for the refund. They voided the check and recalled the check. At no time did they ever contact me despite having 3 contact methods for me!
Called again on 12, 16, and 17 December. All I get is the run around that the check is in the mail! No proof the check was sent, don't care attitude of employees, rude and argumentative, and cannot give straight information!
Without proof, BOK has no proof that it was sent. These people do not care about breaking the law, treating customers poorly, lying to customers, and they have no customer service standards!

Bank Of Oklahoma cashing a check written on the bank.

On Saturday October 12th I took my granddaughter to the Bank of Oklahoma on State Street in Muskogee, OK. to cash a check written on the Bank of Oklahoma from her school. She has a state issued Cherokee Nation ID card with her picture on it that she has always used as an ID, even for Federal things, we was told it was not an acceptable ID that she needed to get a state issued ID to cash her check. Which kind of upset us because her Cherokee Nation Card is a state issued ID, but we said ok. We got her a regular ID from the State of Oklahoma and we went back to Muskogee, we live in Westville, nearly two hours away, so we go to the Bank of Oklahoma on YorK Street where they tell us her State issued ID is no good because she hasn't had it for 90 days and her Cherokee Nation iD can't be used as a secondary ID. We also had her birth certificate and social security card but the lady wouldn't even look at them, So my granddaughter has a check to pay for school stuff that is worthless because your bank won't cash it. We are seriously considering hiring a lawyer, for one thing it is discrimination to not accept a legal ID from the Indian department, that even the federal goverment recognizes as an ID and second who ever heard of a State issued ID not being valid for 90 days. This is a check written on your bank!

Bank Of Oklahoma treasury client services

Bill (William)Harris, our new AVP Treasury Lead (OKC) was very rude, and condescending to me on the phone this a.m. . I simply needed to get my user I.D. . I had my customer number and password . It is usually already programmed in but my computer was recently reset and lost my information.

He was not welcoming, polite or helpful.

When I told him who I was, and why I was calling he seemed put off. He then, proceeded to tell me that" I should already have this information" . He then, asked"" why I had my costumer number and password but not my I.D." ...REALLY? I told him that it is usually saved but my computer was reset so, it is no longer programmed. He then, asked me ANOTHER question " How am I supposed to get this information for you?" " How do I know you are who you say you are" These are questions that I thought were not necessary and questions he should be able to figure out, not me. Finally, he told me that he could not help me and gave me the information to whom could help me. I could not wait to get off the phone with him. That was the WORST service I have had with BOK. If this account was my personal account- I would definitely be changing my bank, unfortunately this is for a business I work for and don't really have a choice.

Bill Harris does not know BOK standards or costumer service expectations and it shows.

Bank Of Oklahoma pine & lewis location

I am writing to report the inefficiency of traffic flow at your pine & Lewis location. Currently, this location is not big enough nor staff adequately to accomadate the amount of traffic that is coming in. Because there is no drive through at this location, often times there is a line out the door during high peek times such as pay days, lunch and Saturday morning traffic. This branch location is the busiest bank location that I have encountered in my 20 years of banking.

As suggestion there is currently an empty bank that use to be Chase Bank on apache. This location would be ideal as it has a drive thru, adequate lobby space with offices. I hope you consider purchasing this property and relocating this branch. I also think would relieve the stress your employees are encountering due to these issues.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,
Nikita Mayes

Bank Of Oklahoma savings bonds

4/2/19 Took my elderly mother to the BOK in Muskogee, OK on State Street to cash her savings bonds (all had pasted their maturity date). They understood that she did not have an account with BOK. They started processing the bonds, she started signing them. Jacob Jones, Branch Mgr., walked up and explained that they would only cash $1000/day since she had no account and gave us some forms to send with the bonds directly to the Treasury Dept. He refused to sign the form he gave us certifying her signature stating that she didn't need it certified even though the directions clearly stated that she did. He referred me to the Treasury phone number on the form. We were concerned because BOK had already stamped 4/2/19 and another number on each of bonds. I understand Company procedures, but feel that since they had already stamped her bonds with today's date and their number that they should have made an exception. The mistake was theirs. Treasurey Dept. was called and stated that he needed to write a letter on bank letterhead verifying that the bonds weren't cashed. I called him and he said that he would call when the letter was ready to be picked up.

Bank Of Oklahoma mortgage company

I am a a federal worker that has to go to work and not get paid. I called today and was informed that I had to bbn provide an pi it 7 or 8 different documents to them so they could work with me on my mortgage. This is really outrageous. Then have to do it again in March if the government is still closed. I feel like I am going through the process of buying my home all over again. This is not working with us. We will have to spend money to get some of this done such as documents and gas to obtain and turn in documents to them. We are short on money already and stressed already. I don't call this making things easier on us. This is the last straw with BOK. I will have to make my February payment some how, otherwise it will be late. All you guys should need is proof we are on furlough and not receiving pay. You made more stress now for me. Have to get this stuff together, go to work and take care of everything else. Way to go.
Thanks
Larry

Bank Of Oklahoma mortgage

I go in with a 803 credit rating. Apply for a refinance. I have a pretty low balance on my home loan. But because of a divorce I needed to refinance. Talked to the jenks branch and took in most recent pay stubs and last 3 years of tax returns. They went over options. I chose one that didnt have closing cost. They said no problem. Next day I received an e mail that told me that my wife was on the deed so I needed to do a regular mortgage loan and was told the closing cost would be around 3500.00. Even though I had quite claim deed and divorce decree that gave her ownership to me, I was told it didnt matter. Then I get a letter saying they couldnt verify my employment or my income.
