Bartleby.com I am complaining about unethical behaviour

My name is Pelinsu Acar. On May 10, 2018, I tried to make a payment of $ 2 to use your articles for two days but the site did not approve my payment by saying timeout. Today I see a charge of $29.95, which is the monthly subscription price on my credit card receipt. I just wanted to buy a package for two days, and I could not take it, so I did not attempt any cancellation. Also I did not receive any information on my purchase from your site. How do you get a monthly fee from my card now? I didn't use any article in your site so I would like to ask your company to refund this fee immediately. Best regards.

Hi, if you go onto the website as you're logged in, click the Bartleby logo on the top left of the screen and then search something in the search bar which appears in the middle of the screen, your page will change and your first initial will appear in the top right of the screen, click that. Once you've clicked it select account settings and scroll down to the bottom of the screen and you'll see "cancel membership", then the steps are there to cancel the membership.
I've just had to do the same lmao, right scam.

Bartleby.com subscription way trapping everybody

Guys please note that it looks like there is no way to cancel your subscription from Bartleby.com website, knowing the fact that they explained how to do so by going to setting but it's [censored], you wan't find any link there which they were talking about to cancel subscription.
The solution is to cancel the auto payment from your PayPal account, I raised a dispute also in PP, please guys we all has to do same in order to tell PP that this website is junk steeling money from all of us, this website trying to fool people by offering 2 US$ subscription and then whoever forgot to cancel will be trapped and charged for silly subscription a 30US$/week.

Bartleby.com overcharged.

I payed for the $2/ for 2 days. My bank statement said you took out a membership for $29.95 which makes absolutely no sense because the most I would ever pay for something like this is for a month tops and even that is only $10 a month. I NEED a full refund. KEEP the $2 I do not care because I used the service for the two days. I will need a number or anywhere else to contact you besides "writing a complaint." I will be contacting my bank to let them know. All I want is my refund for the THIRTY dollars that was taken from my account because I am not using the service. I can understand it might have been a thing to make someone a member after they paid two dollars for two days, but you won't even let me cancel (tells me to type cancel but won't submit it) the subscription, which I did screenshot. Thank you.

Bartleby.com I have been charged $29.95 when I canceled my account

I recently paid $2 for 2 day access and have been charged $29.95 for the monthly fee when I canceled my subscription when only using the website for 2 days. I want my money back. I have an online banking app and I logged in to see my billing activity an bartleby.com took my money unexpectedly I did not know so many people actually had this same issue. Someone needs to resolve this problem and refund my money back into my account. This is sad because I have never experienced anything like this

Bartleby.com this account

I want to delete my account. I signed up for the $2 for 2 days package on April 1 I believe, and then when I went to delete my account, I couldn't figure out how to do it, and now I've been charged $30 for the monthly plan which I do not want. I would like a complete refund for my monthly charge, because I am not going to use it, and I do not want it.

This happened to me as well! I did cancel my account shortly after purchasing the $2 for 2 days package to ensure I would not be charged. And One month later I am finding a statement on my bank account for $30! The website does not provide any resolution mechanism, contact information, or ways to submit/resolve complaints.

I have yet again, canceled the "subscription" I did not belong having in the first place, and would like a refund. The fact that I have no idea how to go about addressing the problem with the company is beyond irritating and poor customer service practice.

Bartleby.com canceling my subscription

So I used this site one time, just to read an article relevant to what I was working on for a school research paper and in order to finish reading I had to purchase access for 1.99$ (you know, the usual with these sights call in 24 hours or whatever to cancel membership to not be charged 29.99$) so I figured i'd pay the one time fee then cancel but nope! I paid, and read and then tried to cancel several times and the page kept reloading to the same page! Needless to say I was unable to cancel my membership until after they charged another 30$ to my account. When I contacted the support number, it says to email them because they no longer do phone support. My recommendation: do not purchase any type of access or membership to read anything on this sight because you wont be able to cancel until they charge a months worth of access!

Bartleby.com unauthorized payment

I was overcharged $29.95 from your website. I paid $2 for two days access to your material. I was told that I only had to pay $2 for two days access and then I will be charged $29.95 if I didn't cancel it before the end of the two days. I canceled one day after i registered because i dint want to be charged for $29.95 and also because the material i found on the website was useless. Now i have an overdraft in my account because it says you charged me for $29.95 for the monthly membership. I want my money back and the payment of the non sufficient funds fee from my bank. I don't know why I was charged for something I didn't ask for. Please try to fix this.

Bartleby.com taking money

I paid $2 for a two-day trial, before the trial was over I cancelled my subscription. I was still charged the 29.99 for a monthly fee. I have tried to contact them several times, no one responds to emails there is no phone number to call. How do I go about fixing this problem? My bank says it's very hard to dispute things like this, why is this company just taking advantage of people

Bartleby.com I didn't buy anything from here

A couple of days ago, I was going through my bank statement, and realized that it says I made a purchase at this website, not once, but twice. Once on January 11, 2018, and another on March 13, 2018 (yesterday). I really do not remember using this site for anything so I do not know why it is charging me $29.95 two times. If I do happen to have an account of some sort, please delete it and (hopefully) you can give me that money back? thanks.

Bartleby.com cancellations charges

I canceled my subscription and still have been charged for 2 months after i canceled it. And i payed through my paypal and now they are billing straight to my credit card not even though paypal like i set up when i actually had a subscript. You better reimburse me for these two months of FRAUD or lawyers will get involved. It is not okay in away to take peoples money without their authorization.

Bartleby.com reoccurring payment

I created a 2 day account with this company, I had cancelled my submission and then was still charged.

I have been trying for over a week to get ahold of someone to make sure that my account is deleted and not active.

The customer service on this website is absolutely awful. There is an email that is provided to reach out to customer service that doesnt even work!

I would never suggest this website to anyone! Unlike Chegg, they also accidentally overcharged me and immediately resolved the issue. This website is awful and I wouldn't suggest anyone use it!

Hi I had the exact same issue as everyone else. I did their $2 free trial and when I tried to cancel within 48 hours I wasn't able to. I contacted the company twice during the 48 hour period trying to get it cancelled and no one had gotten in contact with me. Hello, my name is Zachary Jordan and I was having a problem with the trial. So I did the trial but I had issues with my debit card and I kept using it and nothing happened. So I used my credit card and it went through. The next day I checked my debit card account and it said I was charged all three times I used it. I just want to know if I got refunded back for that. Now my credit card situation, I used that card to get the trial and it went through perfectly and then I tried to end my trial on the site and it did not say anything so I thought it just went through. Today, I was charged the $29.95 on my credit card and now I want to know could I get my refund on that because I was not planning on getting the premium

Bartleby.com bartleby charges

I have paid the $2 for the 48 hours period and during this period I tried to cancel my subscription and the website would not let me.
Now I have checked my account and have been charged $29.95
Would like a refund or will not be using this website again.
As it is coming to Christmas now, a single mother like myself has not got money to waste. I was using this website to compare essays to the one I had written for university and I knew $2 was too good to be true. I tried to cancel this the next day and the page kept failing to load. I would like a refund.
