We had a big piece of land that was ignored for a while, and it needed a lot of work. This company spent three days doing the job and the results were real good. They met all our needs and even found a couple of extra things to fix. We thought their work was really professional. We'll definitely use them again when we need to.

Very happy! Bella did great work on shoring up my eroding creek bank next to an 8' tall X 120' long block retaining wall I just had built. Jay ***, the owner, and his crews had just completed similar work stabilizing my neighbor's creek banks three houses downstream and I liked what I saw as well as the recommendation my neighbor gave. I am a civil engineer and first asked Jay to look at my erosion problems and provide his recommendations before offering my input. I liked what he proposed, felt his price was fair, and gave him the project. Within 2 weeks he was able to start and they worked everyday for a week before completing the project. Jay is an experienced contractor and communicated with me regularly, asking for my feedback and approval throughout the project. I even added more work twice to the original project and they kept working until it was all finished. Each day Jay visited the project site supervising his crew. Each night his crew cleaned up the work zone for at least half an hour before leaving at dusk. When they were done they hauled away wood and bamboo debris I had piled next to the creek. It looks great and met or exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend this responsive, hardworking, professional company. Total project cost was $10,230 and I will definitely use them again if I need their services.

The problem with Bella Landscape & Construction, LLC is that they don't communicate well and don't plan the project properly. They didn't even do the necessary pre-work before starting. When I asked about the progress, they were rude and confrontational. And to top it off, the playset area they finished was of really bad quality.

Bella Landscape took my money in March to build a concrete patio at my house in April. But they've been giving me a bunch of excuses and lying about ordering utility marking. They've also given me false start dates. Kindra told me on March 22nd that the start date would be 4-5 weeks away. I signed the initial contract and paid $600 (20% down) on March 16th. On April 13th, I emailed them to confirm the start date, but they didn't reply. Then on June 7th, I asked again, and *** finally replied on July 1st, asking if DigRite had marked the utilities. Bella said that the DigRite request was cleared on June 19th. They offered to come out on July 8th or 9th, but of course, they only picked days when rain was expected. And they said, "If rain is in the forecast, we will not pour." Well, it didn't actually rain, and *** didn't show up. I called them, but they didn't respond. On July 13th, I called 8-1-1 to check if a dig request had ever been made, and there was no record of any utility request at my property. So, I had to make one myself.

My husband and I hired Bella Landscaping and Construction for a big landscaping job. They were supposed to clear out all the old landscaping, trees, and debris from our entire property, especially the two large flower beds in our backyard. They were also supposed to do extensive landscaping work in our front yard. They started by clearing out the debris in the backyard, but there was still a lot left in the beds. The owner, ***, said he would finish it later. According to the contract, we paid 1/3 upfront and the rest when the job was done. After they finished and we paid for the front yard, we wanted to hire them again to finish the backyard. They sent us an email with the estimate for the second phase, and they wanted 1/3 upfront before starting the work. But then, 30 minutes later, the owner's wife emailed us saying that *** actually wanted 50 percent upfront to cover the cost of materials. We questioned this, but the owner said it was normal, even though we knew it wasn't. We also asked about the rock they put in our front yard. They showed us black rock, but what we got was gray. They said it would turn black over time, but it's still gray after many weeks. Jay, one of the workers, kept saying he was doing us a favor by removing an old swing. He said he would fix the rock issue if we weren't happy, but when we brought up the 50 percent upfront payment, he said he would charge us for fixing the rock. To sum it up, they didn't finish everything we asked for in the contract, there's still debris in the flower beds, and one of their workers cracked our stone beds. The rock they guaranteed to be black wasn't the color we received. We sent an email to the owner, but we haven't heard back yet.
