this product totally sucks, and I say that with confidence
I absolutely hate this product! I hardly where foundation, well this sales guy seemed to convenience me that this product will be all I need, well its NOT! After a week of trying it out I realized it was over priced, comes off verry easily and also makes me break out. It doesn't blend in which the sales guy tried to convenience me of. I will never buy this crap again. It was a waste of money and all i got out of it was a broke out face. This product should be band. Thanks...from a very unhappy customer!

unethical sales tactics
I was at NorthPoint Mall in Alpharetta yesterday and was approached by a young man at a cosmetics kiosk trying to hand me something. I refused whatever it was, and he went back to the kiosk, grabbed something and followed behind me until I glanced back at him. He handed me a small product sample while motioning with his hand to apply to the eye area. He...

AVOID these cosmetics. Everything is a scam! Two days ago I got brainwashed by a lady with an accent while I was walking at the mall. Not only did she start throwing out ### saying I was smart and pretty, but she also lied! As I was about to buy a foundation ($69) to try it out (two brushes were free with the purchase), she said she would GIVE me the blush and bronzer as gifts. I thought it was too good to be true, but when I repeated myself saying "give?" both?", she said "yes!". I got happy with that, but when I saw my receipt before signing it (I didn't sign it), I saw the total was actually $151! I told her about this, and she said "No! I told you I would give you the bronzer if you bought the blush ($69), in which you agreed." In order to avoid an argument by calling her a liar, I told her I had misunderstood. Then I told her to take off the blush, so she did. Then she offered me to try out a small bronzer for just $10, and I really wanted a bronzer, so like an idiot, I agreed. She was so pushy. She was like "You work, you have money, just buy it." Oh, and she said I could return it if I wasn't satisfied within the first two months. My total came out to be $86. I had regretted the purchase since I could have bought my makeup where I usually buy it; MAC. Anyway, that's not my complain. My complain is how the next day as I was about to put gas, my credit card got denied TWICE . I decided to call the bank, and my balance was ZERO dollars! Those ### took absolutely all the money I had in my credit card. When I decided to check the receipt (I'm dumb, this is like my second paycheck so I really don't know how to control my money) THERE WAS NO RECEIPT! It convinced me to believe that they had stolen my money. So in the afternoon (yesterday) I decided to go talk to them about this. When I showed up with my stepdad (I'm 17, I needed an adult with me, of course) the lady that I made the purchase with saw me and quickly ran to the other side of the stand! It was unbelievable. She knew she took all my money. I decided to talk to the manager who was there and the manager got so ###. It was horrible service, and when I told her I wanted to return the makeup, get all my money back, and to just forget I even went there, she said they didn't do refunds! I told her that the other lady had said I could, but she insisted in saying no, and showed me a TINY piece of paper BEHIND the register saying "No Refunds." I got lied by both the manager AND saleswoman. However, besides the $86 I will never get back, I did manage to get the rest of my money by threatening to call the police and suing them. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." AVOID THEM! The makeup really is not worth it. Estee Lauder is much better!
sales person
I'll NEVER buy anything from the girl (from Israel) in Tyler Broadway Mall selling Bella Terra Cosmetics. As soon as she got my money, she has changed her attitude and start talking to me like to a piece of crap. Actually, I needed black mascara in the mall, but she showed me product and I decided to help her and bought creams (which I didn't really need) for 150 bucks + black mascara. She didn't have black mascara (why?!), she asked me to come back next day. I came back 3 times when finally she brought it to me! (like I have nothing to do except coming back 3 days in a row to her kiosk). Every time I came back, she gave me dirty look (like "what's the hell are you doing here, cheap woman!") But it wasn't about money, I could buy much better good brand mascara, it was about a DEAL. If I paid for product, why should I come 2-3 times and beg to get it? And plus to get that dirty look every time I come? TERRIBLE SERVICE! I understand, that this cosmetic is overpriced, but sometime I just want to help that people who sell that scam product, 'cause I know what is to be a sales person. And what did I get? Dirty look? That people should learn marketing and manners. I'll never recommend this kiosk to anybody and will never buy anything from that person again.

inconsiderate/ rude
I was at the Lynnhaven Mall, on my way from the food court to Barnes and Noble, when the young woman got my attention by asking me a question. Then told me to sit in her chair. She then proceeded to wipe stuff on my face and apply the foundation/concealer in one product. While doing so, she was asking questions. I told her I just had surgery on my nose (and pointed to my nose)on Friday (this happened Monday, so not even a full 3 days later). This woman decided to continue wiping the stuff on my face kinda close to my nose and not so softly either. Then, she had the nerve to wipe on my nose. Seriously, how rude can someone be. I jumped and repeated my self that I had had surgery and she kept brushing foundation on. She got a foundation brush and said it was free since I'm military and then went to ring it up without even asking if I wanted/liked it. I told her I was gonna leave because I didn't feel good and she said something to the sort of, Awww, what's wrong? Do you not like it?
No, I didn't like it. You didn't ask if you could touch my face to begin with and you ignored the fact that I had surgery and hurt my nose in the process. Not to mention, when I was walking I was holding a piece of wet gauze under my nose to keep it cool while I tried to make myself get out of the house and do something for the first time in 3 days. I will not be back to Bella Terra Cosmetics. Find new employees that listen to potential customers.

I also was approached at Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach by a young guy with accent at the Kiosk for Bella Terra. I was in no particular hurry so I listened since I have heard so much about mineral makeup. 20 minutes later and after a purchase of their foundation, the second salesman joined in and I truly felt ambushed! He kept asking me to give him my credit card and he would "show me" what kind of deal he could give me. Anyone in their right mind would not do this (I hope). I did walk away with several of their products which I have not yet tried, spent too much on them, and felt intimidated and ambushed. I really wish there were ways to deal with this type of hard sell tactic and that the malls would not allow sales people like this to badger the shoppers. I am angry at myself for not just telling them to take a hike!
sales tactics and pricing
I was approached by a sales woman who offered to show me her products. I really that interested but she kept on and on so I agreed. She then put their products on my face and although she kept saying look at the difference, all us ladies know that any make-up will make you look good if applied correctly. However she gave such a good sales pitch about the natural ingredients and how good it is that I asked the price. Unknown to me she already had placed all the products in a bag and then rang them up I nearly died it was $800+ dollars. I said no way, however she was very pushy and intimidating. My husband is over here working and I did not want to cause a scene so I paid by credit card. I was very upset. I have now done some re-search and feel that someone should take action against this company as it appears the hard sell tactic is rife amongst their sales people. When you visit a mall you should not be subject to this behaviour, certainly not in a city with so many visitors. It certainly has put me off and I worry how many others have been bullied in this way.

I had the same treatment at a mall in Tyler Texas..She would not let it go and I finally bought what I thought was $65 of products ended up to be over $200. Now I know it is also my fault, I should have been paying attention but I JUST WANTED TO GET AWAY FROM HER! I signed and left. I was just visiting too, so it is out the window for me. I have been just sick about it..
I live in the Dallas area and visited a mall in Frisco. The same thing happened to me. I was so frustrated. I kept asking what the total was and could never get a straight answer. After I purchased the product thinking I was only spending 200.00 the salesman walked me over to the hair kiosk that was selling vitamin e and argon oil to get my free sample he promised me. The salesman there was so rude that I walked away without getting my free sample. When I got home I looked at the receipt and I was charged over 600.00. I am so upset and feel like I was robbed but with no way to get my money back. Please if they approach you just walk away. VERY BAD COMPANY DOING VERY BAD BUSINESS.
My niece and I visited the Houston Galleria last weekend, we were walking to Sephora to buy some foundation . We were stopped by a very niece girl, however after We left the Galleria we both were in shock how we were pressured to buy almost $700 and $200. We kept saying no but she kept putting stuff in the bag. We both love the product but feel we over spent due to the pressure. Now I have a big credit card charge to pay when I was only intending to pay $60.00 now I owe $700 :-(
I experienced the same. Was approached by a sales girl for bellaterra who claimed she's the manager of that stall in Houston Gelleria. She was very pushy and charged me redicolusly high price! 69.99 each for foundation and blusher, 79.99 for brush ( I wanted foundation brush but when I got home, she gave me shimmer brush!), then charged me 139.99 for the exfoliating gel and could not remember how much for primer. I was only for business trip in Houston so I could not come back and change. BTW, my biggest disappointment is this product is not good for sensitive skin as per their SWARE, it caused my skin break out and clogged. I hope this company will change on how they approach customer and don't cheat.
I used to work with them, but I’m not Jewish, so they fired me on my first day, also they were mentioned that I will be pay cash which as far as I know it’s an illegal practice.
Next time you get approached for one of the false “salesmen” threat them with mall authority or even with state police and they will leave you alone immediately they even return your money regardless of the “no money back police that they internally created…. they will scare to death
Because the majority of those "salesmen" are non USA citizen, or if they are legal citizen, is because through illegal marriages to obtain citizenship... I worked with them
The same thing happened to me today at Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City. I ended up buying the Deluxe Mineral Kit for $541.88 after taxes. I wanted to cry when I saw the price online was $229.00. I am emailing the above email as well as the Oklahoma Attorney Generals office about this.

I am writing on behalf of Bella Terra Cosmetics, Inc. and am so sorry to hear about your experience with one of our distributors in the Houston Galleria! This is absolutely not how we intend for our product to be sold. I hope that you will contact us at info@bellaterracosmetics.com so that we may intervene on behalf of our distributor who actually sold you the products and see if we can resolve this situation fairly for you. We do try our best to ensure the best customer service from each and every one of our distributors and are grateful you have posted your comment, otherwise we here at Bella Terra Cosmetics, Inc. may have never heard about your negative experience. I hope you do reach out to us to give us the opportunity to make this right and we apologize for your experience.
sales tactics
I am shocked that an upscale mall like North Point would allow kiosks, like Bella Terra Cosmetics, to use guerilla sales tactics. I was at North Point last night. While walking from Macy’s to Dillard’s, a gentleman from Bella Terra stopped me. He asked what month I was born and told me I qualified for a gift. He grabbed my hand, led me to the cart and applied a product on my hand. Before I realized what was happening, he was removing my make-up from half of my face! He didn’t ask before doing it; just removed my make-up, applied a primer and their mineral foundation. He criticized my current makeup and told me my blush made me look like a clown.
He attempted to sell me extremely overpriced makeup. When I told him I wasn’t interested, he tried to make a special deal, and kept adding more products to the mix. Finally, I had to get rude and leave. When I left the mall, I went upstairs to avoid Bella Terra!
I found on line (see URL below) that there are multiple complaints against Bella Terra for the same sales tactics and their no refund policy. http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/bella-terra-cosmetics-hurst-texas-c258025.html
I am furious that a vendor removed my makeup without asking and applied their product again without asking. I have extremely sensitive skin and this is unacceptable.
I agree. I seriously thought about punching him in the face!
I am writing on behalf of Bella Terra Cosmetics, Inc. to apologize for the way you were treated in North Point Mall. We agree that the way you were treated is completely inappropriate and not how we ever intend for any distributor of our cosmetics to treat anyone! I'd like to step in at this point and apologize on behalf of our distributor and to ensure that action will be taken to correct this behavior going forward.
I also invite for you to contact us at info@bellaterracosmetics.com so that we may have the opportunity to make this situation right. Again, our sincerest apologies for our distributor's inappropriate behavior.
I know someone that works there and I realize that they use aggressive sales tactics in order to make a sale. However, I believe everyone that complains deserves it!. If you are a down to earth individual you will certainly not let a clown from a little ### kiosk to remove your make up and strong arm you into trying something. Sorry, but you do not have a backbone on you. Next time toughen up, ask questions, and if they are too aggressive let them know what is up.
return
After having the mineral makeup on my face for 20 minutes it looked really oily. After 2 hours it was horrible. I went back the next day to return the unopened product and they would not return it. The sales men never told me I couldn't return the product when I bought it. So, I ask if he can call the owner, he calls someone and talks in a different language, hangs up the phone and says, " i can't get in touch with him." I spent over 200$ and the makeup is horrible.
their PHONE # is [protected] --- GOOD LUCK - it does NOT ring - after trying many times. MY recommendation file your complaints with BBB AND with the TX Attorney General's Office - false advertising, carcinogenic ingredients (research - it WILL show), NO customer service, no product support.

My skin became very congested and break out, I don't recommend this brand, please do research first before you trap.
Just bought some make up from this company in the mall and my skin is irritated after wearing the product. That is why I decided to do some research. I am going to try to take mine back also.
I spent over $200 in product in the Baybrook Mall Kiosk for BellaTerra. The sales associate put the makeup on my face and I purchased the makeup. Leylani, the sales associate told me that they stand behind their products and advised to bring it back for a full refund if I was not satisfied with their product. Within 20 minutes my face began burning and itching and I returned to the same associate. She seemed concerned and removed all of the makeup from my face. It continued to burn and I asked for a refund. she then pointed to my receipt which stated all sales are final. I asked for the corporate information and she refused to give me their information. I am now taking them to small claims court for the product and my trip to the emergency room for my allergic reaction. Buyers beware of this company and product.
Same thing happened to me last week. I am so upset! Terrible makeup
Terrible company. Watch out I think they are scammers
stay away from this fraudulent company
I was lied to by the sales rep. He told me the online prices were more expensive, but it turns out he majorly overcharged me. This is definitely a scam. Do not buy these products. It is not okay to charge people ridiculous prices and then lie to them about it. Furthermore the entire company is not available. I called the numbers on their website and they do...

I was at The Woodlands Mall on Dec. 1st 2010 picking up new contact lenses and then going to Sephora. The sales clerk "Dvir" stopped me. I was shopping at Memorial City Mall when I passed by a Bella Terra cosmetics kiosk. The salesperson stopped me and usually I don't even pay attention, but I like makeup so i stopped. Some of their eyeshadow stacks caught my interest. The salesman was giving me the pitchline and insisting I purchase some mineral makeup because it doesn't break out your skin. My skin is very clear, but he wouldn't stop talking about it, even when i had a question about the eyeshadow stacks. Finally I asked how much they were and he reluctantly told me $60. For a makeup kiosk this seemed outrageous so I politely told him that i was in a hurry and would think about it. I turned and left, turned around briefly about 20 steps away from the kiosk and to my surprise the guy was about 5 feet behind me, STILL trying to sell me foundation. Luckily my husband was insight so I just gave the guy a nasty look and walked away fast. Doing some research on their products, they contain some very bad ingredients, some of which cause cancer, infertility, and other devestating conditions. I do not recommend buying from them!

I had the same experience and I am a widow, living on social security exclusively. I had never, ever stopped at makeup stands, but this girl took my hand and practically sat me down & started applying makeup.
She started to talk and did not answer my request for price ! Unfortunately after she was done she put several items in a bag & the total was almost $400.00 dollars. I was harassed, listening to her sales pitch, and insistence which was so forceful that I didn’t even know how to get away from her ! I felt so many emotions including anxiety, frustration, and sick to my stomach once I paid. After which my confusion led me to be sick and vomiting, because it’s Christmas and I have no money due to this situation.
My grandchildren (professional), my daughter-in-law (professional), and my nephew (lawyer) are involved so that I may obtain a credit. They have friends in Consumer Reports, and newspapers journalism investigators on this type of sales behavior. I have not touched any of the items in the bag. I desperately need that I receive a credit on my account.
Bella Terra Cosmetics has done this repeatedly as CB I read reviews and perhaps I will not receive a credit, but the word will get out in a negative way, SHAME ON SANDY for these exploits and harassment.
We are sending communications out to others to be aware of this terrible business practice!
I cant stand the Kiosk people... they are like beggars...
Anyway, thanks for your comment.
scam at memorial city mall kiosk
Yesterday, September 11, I went shopping at Memorial City Mall located at 303 Memorial City Houston, Texas and as I was walking to the food court a man named David from Bella Terra mineral cosmetics kiosk (KG Cosmetics Group INC) stopped me asking me to try the makeup. I said no but he insisted so I said yes and sat down to listen to his pitch sales. At the...

My naive 17-yr-old daughter was approached by a very agressive salesperson who managed to talk her into a $378 purchase. The next day she realized what had happened and we tried to return the product but the salespeople in the Galleria kiosk refused and referred us to customer service. We sent a copy of the receipt to a person there named Leon who later refused to answer his phone or respond to email. I can't imagine how these people can, with a clear conscience, prey upon teenagers like this.
This business has a BBB rating of F. It has never answered a complaint against it.
I wanted to return a product that was opened because the sample bb cream that put on my face ended up to burn and cause an allergic reaction on my face and I thought that they could do a return based on what the website said and so I came back to the mall that I worked at and gave them the receipt and asked if I could refund it and she was like who gave you this receipt and I told her who charge me and she was like well if they gave you the actual receipt it would’ve said that you can do exchanges and refunds and I was like whoa unfortunately I’m not gonna be able to use the product because it causes me an allergic reaction is there nothing we all so we can do she’s like no you need to do an exchange or a refund. It’s pointless to argue with them because they will turn away and give you attitude. I really recommend just walking away if you really see them and just not communicating with them because at the end of the day it’s not gonna be beneficial to you or your wallet
I was illegally charged for products I did not request, and was given false price quotes. Under Texas law, these tactics are illegal- as well as the bait and switch. I was told by Deerbrook Mall Police they are known for this behavior. I was told by Property Management the exact opposite- but the security cop knew which kiosk I was talking about without telling him the name of the company- and was told that mall management was looking for one more customer to complain to them and he was thankful I acted quickly on the response of their scam. I have been threatened by Bella Terra employees- and Deerbrook Mall Management and Property Management will not return phone calls, nor will they admit to having any knowledge of these tenenats behaving this way. I have reached out to Bella Terra Corporate- but I will go all the way as so many are liable for the illegal behavior taking place. You cannot quote a price and then charge another and then say that is the prices in the computer. You cannot purchase something with the legal binding agreement that the future prices would be at a cost contingent on the price you paid for half of the price if the price was actually more than what you sold it to me and did not disclose that. I was told the price was $60 but charged $79.99- then told they could never sell the BB cream for less than $35.99. This nullified the purchase agreement. Also, you cannot add products that I never agreed to purchase. I will not remain silent on this.
Bella Terra's RESPONSE to Ivand is NOT a VALID PHONE # - it is Victim Services ? Go figure - ANOTHER LIE. I hope your business, BellaTerra FAILS --- SOON. LIAR, LIAR, LIAR ... AND with carcinogenic ingredients! NO WAY ANYONE SHOULD USE THIS CRAP + THEY WON'T ANSWER CALLS - that shows they have NO honesty, NOR ethics and they CANNOT be trusted. They do deserve BBB's rating of FFFFFFF

I was in the Memorial City Mall and had the same thing happen to me. The makeup is not worth the price. They tell you that it will not come off on your cell phone...that is not true. Also, it cakes really badly and it you have any lines or wrinkles it will make them look even worse. I am going to try to return it but after the reviews I am not very hopeful. Someone needs to do something about this company so that everyone is not scammed by this company.
I had the same experience at the Willobrook mall. The salesman's name was Oshi and was horribly pushy and rude!
This is what happened to me as well. I'm a teenager and i was with my teenage friend walking through the mall (i don't have much experience at all with the sales tactics of these people). I approached the kiosk at my local mall to take a pamphlet she was handing to me and she started with the 'let me show you something amazing' stick. she began to show me the makeup on the back of my hand (not asking me, instead saying 'let me see your hand' which i hesitantly gave her) and repeatedly asked me to pick colors i liked and would use to show me. she (badly) put on some eyeliner and lip gloss using water and Vaseline on the eye makeup to turn it into those things, no once asking me if i wanted her to and instead instructing me to 'hold out my hand' and 'take off my glasses for her'. so i let he go through her sales pitch intending to walk away but this time when she asked me to pick ones i like she started whispering with the whole 'just for you I'll give it to you for...' pitch.
I ended up walking away with 30 dollars worth of make-up i was given no time until after my debit card was swiped to think about whether i actually wanted or not. And when i walked back around to return the items when i realized i didn't want them was when i noticed the 'no refunds' sign, about the size of a card store greeting card sitting directly above the register. I would have had to be standing directly behind the person to see it and even closer to read what was on it. The 'no refunds' was also on the receipts, which i only received after she had swiped me card and bagged the products. She never once mentioned that policy before, during of even as i was walking away and the sign was not readily visible to the customers at all. Very underhanded tactics in my opinion. I will be calling or emailing Bella Terra directly and informing them of this in hopes of getting a refund.
returns
I purchased some foundation powder a few months ago. The price I was quoted was "about $60" from the thick accented sales woman. Pretty expensive i thought. I bouht it and during the purchase i got a phone call. I gave her my card and she quickly shoved the sales receipt in the bag. I pulled out my receipt not 20 feet from the stand and saw that my total with tax was $75. The makeup was 69.99. So i quickly walk back to return it, just to expensive for my taste. I politely explain that i didn't realize it would be that much, i would like my money back. She poped her gum gave me this hellish look and gave me a business card and said "sorry, no returns" and walked away to the mall doors, leaving me at the empty stand. So i call the headquarters and after about the 7th time of being put on hold, and hung up on, i gave up. There's no sign saying "no returns" just on my crumbled receipt in tiny letters on the back.

Hi when i eating your cookies today i almost swallow a piece of wood inside your baked cookies.
I used your wrinkle cream on my face today and ended up in the hospital because my face was going numb and now it has all broken out in a rash it made my eyes swell and now I have a hospital bill because I have no insurance and so I am having to give away $450 wrinkle cream.
I missed a day of work because I was in The ER.
I purchased $229 worth of this product a week ago and it made my face sting and itch. Was told by sales girl it wouldn't harm my skin...,,, that it was excellent for sensitive and acne prone skin. I have adult onset acne Andrade acne as a child. I cannot use this is AWFUL for my skin How can I get my money back?
Receipt is attached. I can return via mail.
I can provide a photo of the receipt if needed.
I was coerced into buying the foundation and the brush to go with it to only find when I got home the 40$ brush wasn't even in there. Have been. Along every number I can find but I have already talked with my credit company and if this doesn't get resolved I am disputing the entire charge. I suggest your company contacts me
Oh my! Same here, only I spent $500! The cute young women are from Israel and very good at selling, telling me what she told you all. I almost got out of there with several items for $250 but was then introduced to the “professional” who told me how to get rid of my brown spots and how they occur, etc.
At one point the kit was $1500 and I had already told them I couldn’t buy any more today. So of course they kept coming down on the price and giving me the “employee discount”.
I ended up getting the dermalactives face mask for $200 and anti-aging cream for $50. Geeze the mask is really cool tho. We’ll see if it works.
Post Osk Mall - BCS
