I made an online purchase for a tv on 10/10. I selected next day delivery and paid the extra $10. I live about 6 miles from the store. I waited all day next day and was notified at 8:48pm that it wouldn’t be delivered, but it would be shipped in 1-2 days.
That was unacceptable to me. Since it was too late to call that night 10/11, I called the next morning (10/12) and cancelled the order. The entire order.
I was told that was done and I should expect a refund within 72 hours.
TODAY, (10/14) I receive the charge on my account and a shipping notice.
I CANCELLED THE ORDER AND EXPECTED MY REFUND. INSTEAD YOU CHARGED MY ACCOUNT AND SHIPPED THE ITEM ANYWAY.
That is horrible customer service. I should not be expected to receive the item and do the work myself to return it. The error was not mine but whomever I spoke with. I will not be doing business with Best Buy any further.
I was under the impression that a delivery service would be used and not a shipper, which implied that the item was coming directly from the store less than 10 miles away. Now I have to wait days for my money to be returned to me and deal with a return that didn’t need to happen if this whole thing had been handled properly in the first place.
Desired outcome: Give me my money and YOU handle the return yourself.
